Ahmadinejad to Meet with Occupy Wall Street
A report today in an official outlet of the Iranian regime claims that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, will meet with members of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Ahmadinejad is currently in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly, where these reported meetings will take place.

"Ahmadinejad is also set to meet American university students, artists, intellectuals and elites, including Occupy Wall Street anti-capitalist protestors, despite the ongoing efforts made by the pro-Zionist lobbies to prevent direct link between American people and the Iranian president," the Iranian organ Fars News reports.

Earlier this year American professors gathered in Tehran to discuss the supposed virtues of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

In New York, the Iranian president has several interviews lined up. "President Ahmadinejad has also accepted the interview requests made by several news networks, including CNN, CBS and Russia Today (RT)," Fars reports.

Sling your hook! Hate preacher Abu Hamza extraditing to US
Hook-handed hate preacher Abu Hamza is to be booted out of Britain within days after Euro judges tonight rejected his final appeal against extradition.

The ruling brings an end to a legal saga which has lasted eight years and cost the UK taxpayer more than £1million.

Hamza, whose vile sermons outside the Finsbury Park Mosque earned him global notoriety, is wanted by the U.S. authorities for plotting to set up a jihadi training camp in Oregon.

Hamza and four other alleged terrorists had complained that jail terms of up to 50 years in the U.S without parole breached their human right to be protected from 'inhuman or degrading treatment'.

In April, the European Court of Human Rights - after two years of hugely expensive deliberation - rejected this argument. But the men were allowed to make a final plea for the grand chamber of the Strasbourg court to re-open the case.

Tonight, judges also threw out this bid. There are now no more legal steps the men can take in Europe to halt extradition.

Whitehall officials said he would be put on a plane to America 'as soon as possible'.

Al-Fawwaz, allegedly a close associate of Osama bin Laden, was arrested in connection with bomb attacks on two U.S embassies in east Africa which killed more than 260 people in 1998.

He was jailed for seven years in February 2006 for preaching hate and inciting murder at Finsbury Park Mosque.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Man charged again with faking brain injury to get in-home nurse to change his diaper
A Hooksett man with a record for faking a brain injury so unsuspecting in-home nurses would change his diaper has been arrested again for attempting a similar ruse, police said Thursday night.

Eric Carrier, 24, was charged by Hampton police on a single felony count of attempt to commit indecent exposure.

Carrier's latest arrest comes roughly a year after being charged with indecent exposure for soliciting five other women by posing as a disabled person on the web site Craigslist.org, according to police.

Last July, Hooksett police charged Carrier with five counts of indecent exposure, all involving different women. He was convicted of indecent exposure on July 30, police said.

Hooksett police said they received reports from several other women during their investigation last year, but could not go forward with those cases because they were beyond the statute of limitations.

The Hampton charge is a Class B felony, punishable by up to 3½ to 7 years in state prison.
The possibilities for in-prison diapering are .... not felicitous to contemplate by those with a modicum of propriety.
In the Hampton case, Carrier first solicited the aid of an in-home care giver by responding to an advertisement on Craigslist, police said.

He allegedly posed as a 22-year-old disabled man who could not control his bowel movements due to a brain injury while communicating with the woman. Carrier met the female caregiver in Hampton on Sept. 12, and asked the woman if she would change his soiled undergarment, according to police.

The woman became suspicious about the request and contacted Hampton police that day.

Investigators believe that Carrier used Craigslist to find an unsuspecting adult care giver who would work with a disabled adult male.

Police learned of Carrier's actual age and his criminal past during their investigation.

Obama describes murder of U.S. ambassador to Libya and Mid East violence as 'bumps in the road'
President Barack Obama referred to recent events in the Middle East, including violent attacks on embassies and the terrorist murder of a US ambassador and three other Americans, as 'bumps in the road'

The comment came in Obama's CBS '60 Minutes' interview that aired on Sunday night.

Steve Kroft, the interviewer, asked: 'Have the events that took place in the Middle East, the recent events in the Middle East given you any pause about your support for the governments that have come to power following the Arab Spring?

Obama responded: 'Well, I'd said even at the time that this is going to be a rocky path. The question presumes that somehow we could have stopped this wave of change.

'I think it was absolutely the right thing for us to do to align ourselves with democracy, universal rights -- a notion that people have to be able to participate in their own governance.

'But I was pretty certain and continue to be pretty certain that there are going to be bumps in the road because, you know, in a lot of these places, the one organizing principle has been Islam.'
Kroft then completely lets Champ off the hook by not following up.
Ambassador Chris Stevens died of apparent asphyxiation at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi after an attack launched under the cover of a demonstration against a crude, low-budget anti-Islam movie mad ein California. Sean Smith, another diplomat, and former U.S. Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were also killed.

Republicans leapt on Obama's 'bumps in the road' comment. Ari Fleischer, former press secretary to President George W. Bush said on Twitter: 'I guess when u win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing "an attack that kills an Ambassador is just a 'bump in the road.'

The Obama administration initially lied insisted the attack was a spontaneous result of anger about the movie and had nothing to do with al-Qaeda or U.S. policy in the region.

After the head of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Centre told Congress the attack was terrorism, Obama's spokesman Jay Carney then stated: 'It is, I think, self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.

'Our embassy was attacked violently and the result was four deaths of American officials.'

On the same day as the five-hour Benghazi consulate attack, in which RPGs and mortars were used, the U.S. embassy in Cairo was targeted by a mob that tore down the American flag and replaced it with a black Islamic flag.

There were also attacks on U.S. missions in Tunis, Sana'a, Khartoum and Islamabad.

Stevens, the first U.S. ambassador to be murdered since 1979, was a fluent Arabic and French speaker widely viewed as one of the greatest American diplomatic assets in the region.

A diary written by Stevens and obtained by CNN after being found in the wreckage of the Benghazi consulate revealed that he had been concerned about security threats in the city and a rise in Islamic extremism. A White House official firmly rejecetd this, telling ABC News: 'It's just not true that he was characterising the attack in Benghazi - the question doesn't even make mention of it. He's speaking about broad trends.'
"See, the ambassador wasn't worried about being murdered on September 11th. We're sure his concern was about the 13th or 14th, and as events show, he didn't have to worry about that," the White House official continued.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Front line Syria rebels hostile to command move
Rebels in the war-ravaged northern city of Aleppo greeted the announcement that their central command has moved from Turkey to inside Syria with indifference bordering on hostility.

"The arrival of one single new fighter would be more useful than the Free Syrian Army chiefs," said Abdullah, spokesman for the Al-Tawhid Brigade, the most important rebel unit in Aleppo, of Saturday's announcement.

"Combatants on the ground are worth more than REMFs guys who've been sitting behind a table for a year and a half outside Syria," he said.

While the FSA leadership has presented its transfer to inside Syria as "good news," it barely registered with front line fighters in Aleppo who have developed their own tactics.

Abu Somer, head of the Ahfad al-Rasul Brigade (Grandchildren of the Prophet) had learned three days previously that the FSA's command, holed up thus far in neighboring Turkey, was moving across the border. But he and his men, positioned on three fronts in the Salaheddin and Saif al-Dawla districts of the city, continued operations as if nothing had changed.

"At this very moment I have men on the front," he told AFP, stressing that "strategy is decided by those on the ground."

The rebels in the city, beset by violent clashes and bombardments since July 20, already have their own local command center and meet up regularly.

"We don't follow any religious or political ideology. Not the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, or any other foreign movement. We are the FSA on the ground," he said.

Abu Somer takes his orders at meetings with other brigades in the city, in consultation with the recently set up Aleppo military revolutionary council. The commanders on the ground share one goal: "That (President) Bashar Assad falls as soon as possible."

Obama says 'blocking out' Israeli 'noise'
US President Barack Obama described the Israeli pressure to draw a "red line" for Iran as "noise" he is trying to block out.

In an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" that aired Sunday, the president addressed the crisis between Washington and Jerusalem over the handling of the Iranian nuclear issue. Obama stressed he feels "an obligation, not pressure" to coordinate with Israel.

Meanwhile, Israeli and US officials are still struggling to reach understandings on the matter behind the scenes. US Ambassador to Washington Michael Oren has traveled to Israel to meet Netanyahu before the latter heads to New York for the UN's General Assembly on Wednesday night.

Obama said he "understands and shares" the Israeli prime minister's "insistence" that Iran should not obtain a nuclear weapon as this "would threaten us, it would threaten Israel and it would threaten the world and kick off a nuclear arms race."

However, in a jab to Netanyahu, he remarked that when it comes to US national security "any pressure that I feel is simply to do what's right for the American people. And I am going to block out any noise that's out there."

Tensions between Israel and the US mounted when Netanyahu demanded that Obama's administration draw "red lines" for Iran that if crossed would prompt a US reaction. Washington refused to comply but stressed its commitment to prevent Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The crisis between Netanyahu and Obama exacerbated as Israeli elements accused the US president of refusing to meet with the prime minister. The White House claimed that schedule constraints prevented any meeting between the two on the sidelines of the General Assembly.

On Sunday, Obama stressed he feels "an obligation, not pressure to make sure that we're in close consultation with the Israelis on these issues because it affects them deeply." Earlier this week he noted in another interview that Israel was one of the US' closest allies in the region.

#12  Again, iff Iran steadfastly follows through wid its desired "Japan/Egypt" Nuclear Model, there will be no NucWeaps per se for the US-Israel to use as rationales for attacking Iran via LR Airstrikes, etc. only Iran's latent or subjective ability to quickly produce same in time(s) of contingency = national crisis.

By this scope, Iran intends that the burden be on the US-Allies, AND ONLY THE US-ALLIES, NOT IRAN, to find something other than NucWeaps as a basis to initiate milstrikes andor major ground war agz Iran.

Prolly safe to say that, likewise, ditto as per the BURDEN TO PRECLUDE IRAN FROM ORDERING PROXY TERROPS AGZ US, WESTERN TARGETS IN RESPONSE TO ANY ISRAELI ATTACK AGZ ITS NUCPROGS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TERROPS INSIDE THE US + AGZ US GOVT. + GOVT. PERSONAGES.

"GLOBALISM" + GLOBAL "MULTI-POLARISM" = iff tiny Judaic/Hebrew Israel whom is not considered a "great power" can have 00's of NucWeaps in their arsenal, WHY NOT MUSLIM STATES E.G. IRAN, ETAL. After all, it is the US-West + MSM that says "Globalism" = the traditional Great Powers/States will give up or share Power + Influence, etc. wid the Lessor States.

SURELY THE US-WEST + MSM DIDN'T LIE, OR DID THEY?

Deadly Attack in Libya Was Major Blow to C.I.A. Efforts
The attack in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans has dealt the Central Intelligence Agency a major setback in its intelligence-gathering efforts at a time of increasing instability in the North African nation.
Have they considered contracting out to CNN? Clearly that three-letter organization has good contacts for getting key information -- they did find the ambassador's diary, after all.
One wonders if they're keeping the juiciest bits quiet, however -- they still have to drag Champ across the finish line...
Among the more than two dozen American personnel evacuated from the city after the assault on the American mission and a nearby annex were about a dozen C.I.A. operatives and contractors, who played a crucial role in conducting surveillance and collecting information on an array of armed militant groups in and around the city.

"It's a catastrophic intelligence loss," said one American official who has served in Libya and who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the F.B.I. is still investigating the attack. "We got our eyes poked out."

The C.I.A.'s surveillance targets in Benghazi and eastern Libya include Ansar al-Sharia, a militia that some have blamed for the attack, as well as suspected members of Al Qaeda's affiliate in North Africa, known as Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

Eastern Libya is also being buffeted by strong crosscurrents that intelligence operatives are trying to monitor closely. The killing of Mr. Stevens has ignited public anger against the militias, underscored on Friday when thousands of Libyans took to the streets of Benghazi to demand that the groups be disarmed. The makeup of militias varies widely; some are moderate, while others are ultraconservative Islamists known as Salafis and still others are loyalists from the government of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi, the deposed Libyan leader.

A strange turn of phrase, but an appropriate diary entry nonetheless. No mention of the dead or wounded. And then there is the "ongoing FBI investigation" by criminal investigators who cannot reach the now fully contaminated "crime" scene just yet.

World Health Organization finds new SARS-like virus
A new virus belonging to the same family as the SARS virus that killed 800 people in 2002 has been identified in Britain in a man who had recently been in Saudi Arabia, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Sunday.
Naturally. For Allah so loves his worshippers that he creates a deadly virus just for them.
The United Nations health body, which issued a statement through its "global alert and response" system, said tests on the patient, a 49-year-old Qatari man, confirmed the presence of a new, or novel, coronavirus.

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which includes the common cold and SARS.

"Given that this is a novel coronavirus, WHO is currently in the process of obtaining further information to determine the public health implications," the statement said.

Shelling yesterday in Aleppo in the north and Daraa in the south, as well as the capital and its suburbs left more than 30 people dead, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Afghanistan
3 Badghis Police Join Taliban
[Tolo Newa] Three Afghan police in western Badghis province have joined the Taliban jihad boys, taking their weapons with them, local officials said.

The men from the Dara Boum area of Badghis' Qades district joined the Taliban recently, but no further details were available, according to the Badghis police front man.

Investigations are ongoing, he said.

It was not clear if the three men were members of the national police force or the local police.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth had turned a paler shade of blue. Star-A-Star had struck again...
six civilians were maimed Sunday morning by the blast of an improvised bomb (IED) in the same Badghis district as the police deserters, police chief Abdul Jabar Saleh told TOLOnews.

The IED detonated at a funeral in the Qades district while mourners were gathered, he said Sunday.

Afghanistan to Reinforce Eastern Border Police
[Tolo News] Newly-appointed Minister of Interior Mujtaba Patang said Sunday that he will reinforce security forces along the Afghan-Pak border as a means to prevent further shelling into Afghanistan's eastern provinces.

"We have planned to reinforce the border police to prevent these attacks," Patang said.

Patang's predecessor Bismillah Mohammadi was dismissed by the Afghan parliament early August mainly for his apparent inaction over the shelling.

Afghan senators on Sunday urged the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
Security Council to take the shelling seriously.

The Senate called on the UN Security Council to step up pressure on Pakistain's military to prevent the attacks.
Because a stern note of warning in best calligraphy on perfumed paper will really get the attention of those who, for some reason, consider themselves preeminent military men.
"The international community should pressure Pakistain to stop these attacks -- the international community is obliged to do this to help Afghanistan as per their strategic agreements," head of Senate Fazel Hadi Mohammedanyar said.
God helps those who help themselves. The best the UN will do is interfere with those who have such ideas, without helping those who don't.
"This problem should be solved. It has been two years since the continuation of these rocket attacks," Senator Gul Ahmad Azimi said.

The shelling into Afghanistan's eastern regions, particularly Kunar province
... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country.....
, has been intermittent but ongoing for the last two years with hundreds of people displaced and at least a dozen killed.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the SWAT team had finally arrived...
the Pakistain military claims that snuffies have safe havens in the eastern region of Afghanistan and are crossing the border to launch attacks on the Pakistain security forces.

Somalia gears up for final offensive
In 2007, US Special Forces tried to kill Ahmed Madobe. Today, he is a key ally, working to run Al Shabaab out of Somalia.

It’s been a long-fought battle with the Al Qaeda affiliate, one that may reach its end — at least in conventional military terms — in the days ahead as a regional coalition makes its way to the port town of Kismayo, the militant group’s last remaining stronghold.

Madobe’s remarkable turnaround from terrorist enemy to trusted friend is emblematic of the pragmatism and shifting allegiances that have helped make Somalia a graveyard for foreign peace efforts over the last two decades.

Thousands of Somalia’s Kismayo residents flee
The UN refugee agency said on Friday it was closely following the situation around the Somali port city of Kismayo as thousands of residents fled in anticipation of new clashes.

“The Refugee Agency puts the figure at more than 10,000 adding that 7,500 people fled the area in the past four days amid growing tension”.

Human Rights Watch said earlier in August that Kenyan armed forces and other parties to the conflict in Somalia should make every effort to minimize civilian harm during military operations ahead of a major military offensive being mounted to the capturing of the strategic town from the Al-Shabaab fighters.

The UN report adds that most of the internally displaced Somalis are leaving Kismayo and its surroundings on minibuses with poorer households undertaking the journey in lorries and trucks, in some cases using donkey carts. Majority of those fleeing are said to be moving towards Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, and the refugee camps in Dadaab, north-east Kenya.

China, Afghanistan sign deals on security, economic cooperation
China has signed security and economic agreements with Afghanistan during a rare trip to Kabul by a top Chinese official, in deals seen aimed at bolstering Beijing’s influence ahead of a NATO withdrawal of most combat forces by 2014.

Zhou Yongkang, China’s domestic security chief and a member of the ruling Communist Party’s central politburo, made an unannounced visit to the Afghan capital late on Saturday, holding talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai at his garden palace.

Zhou’s visit was the first to Afghanistan by a senior Chinese leader since 1966 and followed a visit by Karzai to Beijing in June when both countries agreed to cooperate on combating extremism in the region.

Libyan Army faces backlash as it moves to disband militias
The Libyan army ejected a rogue militia from its headquarters on Sunday, the first move in a government-threatened crackdown on such groups.

Libya's new government appears intent on capitalizing on the popular backlash that erupted locally in the wake of the killing of the American ambassador this month.

Militias that have held sway in much of Libya since the revolution that toppled Moammar Gadhafi last October appear to have rapidly retreated in recent days amid mass demonstrations that appear to have emboldened the government to take action.

Afghanistan bans Pakistan newspapers over ‘Taliban propaganda’
Afghanistan on Saturday banned all Pakistani newspapers, accusing the publications of supporting the Taliban and seeking to undermine the government, an official said.

The papers will be blocked at their entry points in the eastern provinces of Nangarhar, Kunar and Nuristan which border Pakistan.

“The Afghan government decided to ban all Pakistani newspapers in Afghanistan,” government spokesman Sayed Ihsanuddin Taheri told AFP.

“In recent months Pakistani newspapers have started an anti-Afghan government campaign, especially in the eastern provinces.”

“The papers print Taliban propaganda, question the presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan and run an anti-government campaign,” he added.

Iran to launch national secure network
Iran is following through with previously reported plans to move its citizens onto a domestic Internet network, Reuters reported. Meanwhile, the country is about to start blocking Google, also according to Reuters. It's unclear whether the two moves are related.

A government deputy minister today announced the domestic Internet plans as a way to improve cybersecurity, adding that all government agencies and offices have been connected to the "national information network." The next step would be to connect everyday citizens to the network as well, he said.

Separately, state television reportedly announced Google's search engine and e-mail would be blocked "within a few hours." Reuters reported. The news service quoted an official only identified as Khoramabadi as saying "Google and Gmail will be filtered throughout the country until further notice."

Ahmadinejad: Criminal non grata
When Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrives in New York to address the UN General Assembly, a man who should be in the dock of the accused will instead be given an international podium – a cruel parody of law and justice that will put us on the wrong side of history.

Ahmadinejad will enter the US despite being inadmissible under American law. He will address the UN General Assembly despite being in violation of its UN Charter and international law. And he will be indulged by universities, institutes and the media, thereby sanitizing his crimes and mocking the suffering of the Iranian people.
Let there be no mistake about it: A person who pursues the most destructive of weaponry in violation of UN Security Council resolutions, who incites to genocide, who is complicit in crimes against humanity, who is engaged in a massive repression of the human rights of his own citizens, who assaults the basic tenants of the UN Charter – such a person should be indicted by this international body; rather than have it provide a pulpit.

Simply put, this charade – repeated annually since 2007 – ignores and undermines basic principles of domestic, international and humanitarian law.

Indeed, Ahmadinejad belongs on the US “watchlist” – those who “aid terrorists... persecute religious minorities... or are prohibited from entering the US.

The evidence of Ahmadinejad’s criminality on each of these counts is compelling.

In the matter of aiding terrorists, the US State Department has once again named Iran as the leading state sponsor of international terrorism. In particular, Ahmadinejad’s Iran recruits, trains, finances, instigates and arms its terrorist proxies, such as Hamas and Hezbollah, whose platforms and policies are themselves replete with genocidal calls for the destruction of Israel.

Indeed, Iran and Hezbollah have their footprints not only in the recent attack on Israelis in Bulgaria, but in terrorist attacks spanning five continents in 2012 alone.

Moreover, Iran is complicit in the international criminality of Bashar Assad’s Syrian regime. This criminal support includes sending military equipment, munitions and surveillance technology – involving also Iranian al-Quds special forces – all to help sustain the brutality of the Assad regime.

In the matter of religious persecution, one need only recall Iran’s massive domestic repression, particularly targeting religious minorities, especially the Baha’i – Iran’s largest such group – whose members are subject to harassment, repression, torture, imprisonment and execution.

Women, students, workers, dissidents, journalists and academics – and those who would defend them – are also routinely persecuted. Moreover, Iran leads the world in per capita executions and the execution of minors – as well as in the imprisonment of journalists and bloggers.

In the matter of incitement to genocide, the evidence here is particularly compelling and disturbing, as Ahmadinejad’s genocidal incitement is the terrifying and vilifying context for Iran’s illegal pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Last month alone, Ahmadinejad called to “remove the Zionist black stain from the human society,” adding that “the very existence of Israel is an insult to humankind and an affront to all world nations,” and requiring the wiping out of this “scarlet letter from the... forehead of humanity.”

Indeed, this state-sanctioned culture of hate and incitement to genocide has been persistent, pervasive and pernicious.

The 21st century began with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calling for “the annihilation of the Jewish state.” It was followed by the parading in the streets of Tehran of a Shihab-3 missile draped in the emblem “Wipe Israel off the map, as the Imam says.”

It has continued with the use of epidemiological metaphors referring to Jews as “filthy bacteria,” and Israel as “a cancer that must be removed,” reminiscent of the Nazis calling the Jews “vermin” and the Rwandan Hutus calling the Tutsis “cockroaches,” the whole as prologue to and justification for a genocide foretold.

Instead of being granted a podium at the UN General Assembly, Ahmadinejad should be the object of a criminal indictment.

Simply put, a person who has already committed the crime of “direct and public incitement to genocide” in violation of international law – punishable whether or not a genocide has occurred – who is complicit in crimes against humanity both at home and abroad – has no place at the UN. Let alone at its most distinguished podium.

Indeed, how can a UN forum host one who openly and avowedly seeks the destruction of a member state? As UN Secretary-General Ban Kimoon said recently in Tehran, “I strongly reject threats by any member state to destroy another or outrageous attempts to deny historical facts, such as the Holocaust” – yet, Ahmadinejad continues to call for the destruction of Israel while denying the Holocaust.

Despite the clear and compelling evidence of Ahmadinejad’s inadmissibility to the US under both domestic and international law, he is likely to return to the UN because of the 1947 Headquarters Agreement – a UN treaty wherein the US agreed not to impede access of representatives of member states to UN headquarters in New York.

While this agreement is said to trump American domestic law, the fact is that the Vienna Law of Treaties affirms that jus cogens – the preemptory norms of international law – such as incitement to genocide and crimes against humanity – override any treaty. Ahmadinejad’s crimes are such jus cogens crimes. The Headquarters Agreement should not avail and must not prevail.

Moreover, Article 99 of the UN Charter grants the secretary-general the power to refer issues that “threaten the maintenance of international peace and security” to the UN Security Council. This can – and should – be done, as surely there is no greater threat to international peace and security today than Ahmadinejad’s Iran.

Member states should call on the secretary-general to take proactive measures to ensure the UN does not provide a forum to one who callously and deliberately defies, mocks and violates the principles and decisions of the UN and its respective agencies, its charter, and American law itself.

If the US nonetheless allows him entry, Ahmadinejad’s travel should be restricted to only those parts of New York under UN authority, the Iranian Mission and the airport. The US government is not obliged to treat him as an innocent tourist; rather, it should isolate and shun him as the war criminal he is.

Even if none of these options is exercised, there are ways to break this cycle of impunity and hold the Iranian leadership accountable for its crimes.

The international community should act in solidarity with the oppressed people of Iran by providing neither shield nor platform for their oppressors.

Countries should fulfill their responsibilities under international law – including the Genocide Convention – and refer the Iranian leaders’ criminal incitement to genocide to appropriate UN agencies for investigation and sanction.

It is astonishing that this criminal incitement has yet to be addressed by any UN body, though the UN finds it fit to give Ahmadinejad a podium this week.

Moreover, inter-state complaints against Iran could be initiated at the International Court of Justice, while the Iranian leadership could be made to answer for its crimes at the International Criminal Court.

Similarly, Ahmadinejad and other Iranian leaders should be placed on a watchlist by concerned countries, preventing their entrance as “inadmissible persons.”

Finally, enhanced comprehensive, consequential and targeted multilateral sanctions must be adopted – and enforced – not only for Iran’s continued pursuit of nuclear weapons, but also for its sponsorship of international terrorism and massive violations of human rights.

History shows that sustained international juridical efforts can bring dictators like Milosevic and Pinochet to justice.

Ahmadinejad must be held to account for his criminality – not rewarded for it. Our choice is clear: We can either act or be on the wrong side of history.

Irwin Cotler is a Canadian member of Parliament and is the former minister of justice and attorney-general of Canada. He is a professor of law (Emeritus) at McGill University and has written extensively on Iran and has previously prosecuted for incitement to genocide. He is a former Canadian justice minister and currently a co-chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Group for Human Rights in Iran.•

Military exercises to be staged in Iranian province Shahr-e-Rey
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) will hold 15,000-man strong maneuver in Shahr-e-Rey district of Tehran Province for two days from September 27-28, commander said on Sunday.

IRGC Commander in charge of the operations, General Nasiri told IRNA that some 70 `Beit-ul-Moqaddas' battalions will take part in the exercise, code-named 'Followers of Supreme Jurisprudent' (Rahrovan-e Velayat). The commander said that the exercises aim to raise combat readiness of the ground forces. He said that the troops will conduct shooting, night war, relief and rescue operations.

#1  Some points:
1) Shar-e-Rey is a district just outside Tehran. it is a largely urban district, so the target seems more domestic than foreign.
2) The Beit-ul-Moqaddas battalions are part of the Quds Force. Apparently each "battalion" has less than 200 men.

#2  Usually it Basij units that are doing urban exercises like this. There are several Basij battalions (about the same size as the units mentioned by Frozen Al) equipped with heavy weapons. The Basij have been brought under more direct control of the IRGC over the past few years.

That the Beit-ul-Moqaddas battalions are part of the Quds Force is interesting; the Quds Force generally is responsible for extra-national activities.

400 protest near French embassy in Iran
Around 400 people demonstrated in front of the French embassy in Tehran on Sunday to protest inflammatory depictions of Islam's Prophet Mohammed in an American-made film and in a French satirical magazine.

The crowd, shouting "Death to America™," "Death to Israel," "Death to Britannia" and "Death to La Belle France," was kept away by police in anti-riot gear, witnesses said.

Israel minister says no changes to Egypt peace deal
Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Sunday that Israel would not agree to reevaluate its peace deal with Egypt, days after the latest attack along the shared border killed an Israeli soldier and three gunmen.

In a bid to restore security to the increasingly lawless Sinai peninsula, Israel and Egypt have agreed to temporarily waive limits on troops included in the historic 1979 peace deal, allowing Egypt to send heavier weaponry into the vast desert region which borders Israel.

China-Japan-Koreas
S.Korea Wins Permission to Extend Missile Range
The U.S. has reportedly agreed to let South Korea extend its ballistic missile range from 300 km to 800 km while maintaining the weight of the warhead at the current 500 kg. In protracted talks, the two sides also agreed to scrap a trade-off clause in a bilateral agreement that says if the maximum range is extended, the payload weight must be reduced.

They remain at loggerheads over Washington's dogged opposition to Seoul's development of combat drones and civilian solid-fuel rockets. As a result, South Korea may have to abandon plans to develop state-of-the-art combat drones for which it has already budgeted W500 billion (US$1=W1,119) and will also have trouble pursuing its civilian space project.

The missile guidelines were last revised in 2001.

A government source on Sunday said the two countries have "virtually finished" the missile talks that started early last year and hope to issue a statement by mid-October. "There's been progress in issues like missile range, missile payload weight, and unmanned aerial vehicles but not over development of civilian solid-fuel rockets," the source added.

Seoul had hoped to extend the missile range to 1,000 km, which would cover all of North Korea from Jeju, and increase the payload weight to 1 ton. But Washington is worried that this would also bring the Chinese and Japanese capitals within reach.

For drones, Seoul wanted to increase the current payload of less than 500 kg to 2.5 tons and develop not only reconnaissance UAVs but also combat drones. The U.S. agreed to increase the payload of reconnaissance drones up to a point but is against letting Seoul develop combat drones, the source said.

The talks are expected to wind up by mid-October so South Korea can declare its new missile policy before the two defense ministers meet at the annual Security Consultative Meeting in Washington late next month.

Africa North
Mubarek apparently in stable condition
CAIRO -- Egypt's chief forensic doctor told a state-run newspaper in an interview published on Saturday that Hosni Mubarak has never suffered a stroke and that he is not in critical condition, contradicting earlier medical reports that the former president's health was deteriorating.
Personally, when I see a 'forensic doctor' making statements, I assume the worst...
For months, there have been conflicting reports about the health of the 84-year old Mubarak, who was sentenced in June to life in prison for failing to stop the killing of hundreds of protesters during last year's uprising. He is the first Arab president to serve a prison sentence.

While he was in power, Mubarak's health was treated almost as a state secret. But since his ouster some 20 months ago, Mubarak's supporters have released details of his allegedly failing health in what critics say is an attempt to curry sympathy from the public and appeal for leniency from the courts.

Less than three weeks after he was convicted and sent to Cairo's Tora prison, Mubarak was abruptly transferred to a military hospital amid reports that his heart had stopped beating. The state news agency said at the time that Mubarak had suffered a stroke. He returned to prison a month later.

Ihsan Kameel Gorgy, Egypt's chief forensic doctor, told the Al-Ahram daily that the prosecutor general asked him to put together a medical team to check on Mubarak's health after he was transferred to the military hospital.

Gorgy said he led a team of forensic doctors during two check-ups on the former president, one at the military hospital and the other at Tora prison. Gorgy said Mubarak only had low blood pressure and dizziness from standing up too quickly.

He also dismissed reports presented by Mubarak's private doctor which said the former leader had suffered a series of strokes after returning to prison. Gorgy said medical reports showed that Mubarak has never suffered a stroke.

He also dismissed claims by Mubarak's doctor that the aging former leader suffered a pulmonary embolism, or a blocked artery of the lungs.

Gorgy said that after conducting his own check-up on Mubarak, that there was no indication that the former president had any difficulty breathing and that he did not need a respirator.

"He does not need to be transferred to another hospital," Gorgy told the paper.

Taliban arms dealer/bad guy busted over attack on Kiwi soldiers
The arrest of a senior Taliban weapons dealer suspected to be behind an attack which killed two New Zealand soldiers in Afghanistan comes as a 'relief', the grandfather of one of the fallen soldiers says.

Lance Corporals Pralli Durrer and Rory Malone, both aged 26, were killed by insurgents in Bamiyan Province on August 4 after a fierce three-minute gun fight in a village near Do Abe. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

Lance Corporal Jacinda Baker, 26, Private Richard Harris, 21, and Corporal Luke Tamatea, 31, died two weeks after Durrer and Malone when their Humvee was hit by a bomb in Bamiyan Province.

200 Islamists surrender in Somalia
More than 200 fighters from the Islamist militant group al-Shabaab surrendered Saturday in Somalia to troops from the African Union's Amisom peacekeeping force.

A statement, issued from the AU's base in Addis Ababa, said the insurgents were disarmed and taken into custody in Garsalem, about 80 kilometres from Mogadishu.

Eight militants were killed in the region in fighting before the surrender, according to the AU, which called the Saturday's capture a meaningful defeat for al-Shabaab.

United Nations refugee officials said Friday that at least 10,000 people have fled this month from Kismayo, a key Somali port city controlled by al-Shabaab, for fear of an impending battle over the area. African Union forces and militias loyal to Somalia's government have been advancing toward Kismayo.

Another Gaza worker killed in smuggling tunnel collapse
A Palestinian worker was killed and another injured when an underground smuggling tunnel underneath the Gaza Strip's southern borders with Egypt collapsed, medical sources said on Saturday, Xinhua informed.

The medics said that Ramadan Abu Ermana, 32, died in the accident and another worker was injured after the tunnel collapsed.

The tunnel's cave-in was natural and caused the suffocation of the workers, according to medics at Abu Yousef al-Najjar in the town of Rafah, who added that the injured worker's condition is unstable.
Natural? A man-made structure failing is natural? Only in Palestine.
The smuggling business flourished when Israel imposed a closure on Gaza in June 2007, but declined after Israel eased the sanctions in 2010. Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed while working in the tunnels.
If they would just stop killing Jews, they could have a free and open border. But no! Some things are more important in life.
Sobhi Radwan, Rafah mayor, told Xinhua that more than 80 percent of the underground tunnels had completely stopped operating following the intensifying of Egyptian security measures after the attack in Sinai on Aug. 5, during which 16 Egyptian soldiers were killed and seven others wounded.
Egyptians putting the screws on, eh? Good for them. It's about time, it only took Islamists attacking Egyptians for this to happen. Killing Jews was OK though.

In this context, official letters were submitted and meetings took place between Israeli representatives and the Palestinian leadership."

Audi disclaims responsibility for bellicose Chinese banner
Volkswagen AG’s luxury Audi (NSU) unit asked a Chinese dealer to remove a banner advocating the murder of Japanese people after a photograph of the sign went viral on the Internet amid escalating tensions between the two countries.

The anti-Japan message captured in the photo of the unidentified dealership doesn’t reflect Audi’s views, said Lu Minjie, a spokeswoman at FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., the venture that makes Audi-brand cars in China. Audi, which counts China as its biggest market, asked its dealers to be reasonable in expressing patriotism, she said.

The photo, spread via China’s Twitter-like Sina Weibo service, showed 14 people -- half of them women -- posing in front of an Audi dealership under a red banner that read “Japanese must all be killed.” Tension between Asia’s two largest economies escalated in the past week as thousands protested in Chinese cities against the Japanese government’s purchase of the disputed islands, known as Diaoyu in China and Senkaku in Japan.

Paleostinian security forces have uncovered a Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, underground detention facility in the West Bank village of Urif, police chief Adnan Damiri said. The dungeon was equipped with communication equipment.

"Hamas is building these facilities, but we don't know for what purpose," the top Paleostinian official said, noting that several suspects have been tossed in the clink

Home Front: WoT
Obama's Dangerous Consistency
On Tuesday, Egypt's chief prosecutor issued arrest warrants against eight US citizens. Their purported crimes relate either to their reported involvement in the production of the Internet movie critical of Islam that has received so much attention over the past ten days, or other alleged anti-Islamic activities. One of the US citizens indicted is a woman who converted from Islam to Christianity.

According to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named, Egypt's general prosecution issued a statement announcing that the eight US citizens have been indicted on charges of insulting and publicly attacking Islam, spreading false information, and harming Egyptian national unity.

The statement stipulated that they could face the death penalty if convicted.

The AP write-up of the story quoted Mamdouh Ismail, a Salafist attorney who praised the prosecution's move. He claimed it would deter others from exercising their right to free expression in regards to Islam. As he put it, the prosecutions will "set a deterrent for them and anyone else who may fall into this." That is, they will deter others from saying anything critical about Islam.

This desire to intimidate free people into silence on Islam is clearly the goal the heads of the Moslem Brüderbund seek to achieve through their protests of the anti-Islamic movie. This was the message of Moslem Brüderbund chief Yussuf Qaradawi. Three days after the anti-American assaults began on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 jihadist attacks on America, Qaradawi gave a sermon on Qatar television, translated by MEMRI.

Qaradawi struck a moderate tone. He called on his followers to stop rioting against the US. Rather than attack the US, Qaradawi urged his Moslem audience to insist that the US place prohibitions on the free speech rights of American citizens by outlawing criticism of Islam -- just as the Europeans have done in recent years in the face of Islamic terror and intimidation.

In his words, "We say to the US: You must take a strong stance and try to confront this extremism like the Europeans do. This [anti-Islamic film] is not art. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech. This is nothing but curses and insults. Does the freedom to curse and insult constitute freedom of speech?"

Both the actions of the Egyptian prosecution and Qaradawi's sermon prove incontrovertibly that the two policies the US has adopted since Sept. 11, 2001 to contend with Moslem hatred for the US have failed. The neoconservative policy of supporting the democratization of Moslem societies adopted by President Barack Obama
Why can't I just eat my waffle?...
's predecessor George W. Bush has failed. And the appeasement policy adopted by Obama has also failed.

Bush's democratization policy claimed that the reason the Moslem world had become a hotbed for anti-Americanism and terror was because the Moslem world was not governed by democratic regimes. Once the peoples of the Moslem world were allowed to be free, and to freely elect their governments, the neoconservatives proclaimed, they would abandon their hatred of America.

As a consequence of this belief, when the anti-regime protests against the authoritarian Mubarak regime began in January 2011, the neoconservatives were outspoken supporters of the overthrow of then president Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
despite the fact that he had been the US's key ally in the Arab world for three decades. They supported the political process that brought the Moslem Brüderbund to power. They supported the process despite the fact that Qaradawi is the most influential holy man in Egypt. They supported it despite the fact that just days after Mubarak was ousted from power, Qaradawi arrived at Tahrir Square and before an audience of two million followers, he called for the invasion of Israel and the conquest of Jerusalem.

In the event, the Egyptian people voted for Qaradawi's Moslem Brüderbund and for the Salafist Party. The distinction between the two parties is that Qaradawi and the Moslem Brüderbund are willing to resort to both violent and non-violent ways to dominate the world in the name of Islam. The Salafists
...Salafists are ostentatiously devout Moslems who figure the ostentation of their piety gives them the right to tell others how to do it and to kill those who don't listen to them...
abjure non-violence. So while Qaradawi called for the riots to end in order to convince the Americans to criminalize criticism of Islam, his Salafist counterparts called for the murder of everyone involved in producing the anti-Islamic film.

For instance, Salafist holy man Ahmad Fouad Ashoush issued a fatwa on Islamic websites last weekend calling for American and European Moslems to murder those involved with the movie. His religious ruling was translated by the SITE Intelligence Group on Monday.

Ashoush wrote, "Those bastards who did this film are belligerent disbelievers. I issue a fatwa and call on the Moslem youth in America and Europe to do this duty, which is to kill the director, the producer and the actors and everyone who helped and promoted the film.

"So, hurry, hurry, O Moslem youth in America and Europe, and teach those filthy lowly ones a lesson that all the monkeys and pigs in America and Europe will understand. May Allah guide you and grant you success."

These are the voices of democratic Egypt. The government, which has indicted American citizens on capital charges for exercising their most fundamental right as Americans, is a loyal representative of the sentiments of the Egyptian people who freely elected it. The Salafist preacher is a loyal representative of the segment of the Egyptian people that made the Salafist party the second largest party in the Egyptian parliament. Qaradawi's call for the abolition of freedom of speech in America -- as has happened in Europe -- to ban all criticism of Islam is subscribed to by millions and millions of Moslems worldwide who consider him one of the leading Sunni Moslem holy mans in the world.

Free elections in Egypt have empowered the Egyptian people to use the organs of governance to advance their hatred of America. Their hatred has been empowered, and legitimized, not diminished, as the neoconservatives had hoped.

The behavior of the Egyptian government, Qaradawi and the Salafists also makes clear that Obama's policy of appeasing the Moslem world has failed completely. Whereas Bush believed the source of Moslem hatred was their political oppression at the hands of their regimes, Obama has blamed their rage and hatred on America's supposed misdeeds.

By changing the way America treats the Moslem world, Obama believes he can end their hatred of America. To this end, Obama has reached out to the most anti-American forces and regimes in the region and spurned pro-American regimes and political forces.

When Obama's policies are recognized as driven by appeasement, the seeming inconsistency of his war against Libya's Muammar Qadaffy
...a proud Arab institution for 42 years, now among the dear departed, though not the dearest...
on the one hand, and his passivity in the face of the anti-regime uprising in Iran in 2009 and the Syrian uprising against the Assad regime today makes sense. Qadaffy was not a threat to the US, so he was unworthy of protection. The mullahs in Iran and Assad are foes of the US. So they deserve protection. Obama has assiduously courted the Moslem Brüderbund from the outset of his presidency.

The official and unofficial Egyptian exploitation of the Internet film as a means to intimidate and attack the US into disavowing its core principles are proof that Obama's theory of the source of Moslem rage is wrong. They do not hate America because of what the US government does. They hate America because of what America is. And it is because of this that since September 11, the rationale for Obama's foreign policy has disintegrated.

Rather than accept this basic truth and defend the American way of life, Obama has doubled down in the only way now available to him. He, his administration, his campaign and his supporters in the media have responded to the collapse of the foundations of his foreign policy by resorting to the sort of actions they accused George W. Bush, his administration and supporters of taking. They have responded with a campaign of political oppression and nativist bigotry directed against their political opponents.

Late last Friday night, law enforcement officers descended on the home of the Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the man who made the film that the Moslems of the newly free Arab lands find so offensive. Nakoula was questioned by federal authorities and later released. His arrest was photographed. The image of a dozen officers arresting an unarmed man for making a movie was broadcast worldwide within moments.

Beyond persecuting an independent filmmaker, the White House requested that YouTube block access to it. YouTube -- owned by Google
...contributed $814,540 to the 2008 Obama campaign...
-- has so far rejected the White House's request.

The B.O. regime's abetment of bigoted nativism to silence criticism of its substantively indefensible foreign policy was on prominent display last Sunday. Obama's campaign endorsed an anti-Semitic screed published by New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
columnist Maureen Dowd.

In her column, titled, "Neocons slither back," Dowd wrote that Republican Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees Willard Mitt Romney
...former governor of Massachussetts, currently the Publican nominee for president. He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. Romney has a record as a successful businessman, heading Bain Capital, and he rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from the midst of bribery and mismanagement scandals. More to the point, he isn't President B.O...
and Paul Ryan
...U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, serving since 1999. He is a member of the Republican Party. He proposed an alternative to President B.O.'s 2011 budget and made himself the target of both Democrat and Republican verbal pies...
are mere puppets controlled by "neocon puppet master, Dan Senor."

Neocon is a popular code for Jewish. It was so identified by Dowd's Times' colleague David Brooks several years ago.

Dowd said that "the neocons captured" Bush after the September 11 attacks and "Now, amid contagious Arab rage sparked on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, they have captured another would-be Republican president and vice president, both jejeune about the world."

One telling aspect of Dowd's assault on Senor as a neoconservative is that he and his boss in the Bush administration Paul Bremer were the nemeses of the neoconservatives at the Pentagon. The only thing Senor has in common with the likes of Paul Wolfowitz and Douglas Feith is that all three men are Jews.

Moreover, Dowd drew a distinction between supposed "neocons" like Senor, and non-Jewish US leaders Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney who merely "abetted" the neocons.

So Senor doesn't share the same ideological worldview as Feith and Wolfowitz but he's a neocon. And Cheney and Rumseld do share the same worldview as Feith and Wolfowitz. And they are not neocons.
The Times' public editor Andrew Rosenthal dismissed claims that Dowd's column was anti-Semitic arguing it couldn't be since she never said a word about Jews.

The Obama campaign linked to Dowd's column on its Twitter account with the message, "Why Romney and Ryan's foreign policy sounds 'ominously familiar.'"

Obama's campaign's willingness to direct the public to anti-Semitic screeds against his political opponents is consistent with the administration's general strategy for defending policies. That strategy involves responding to criticism not with substantive defense of his policies, but with ad hominem attacks against his critics.

His failed economic policies' critics are attacked as "Wall Street fat cats."

His failed foreign policies' critics are demonized as ominous neocon puppet masters.

There is a difference between appeasing parties who have been harmed by your actions and appeasing parties who wish your destruction. In the 1970s the US appeased the Philippines by transferring illusory sovereignty over the Clark Air Force Base to the Philippine government. America was still America and the US and the Philippines became friends.

To appease a party that hates your way of life, you must change your way of life. The only way America can appease the Moslem world is for America to cease to be America.

#3  They have watched us, they know of our rich bounty and success. They do not fully understand or appreciate it, but surely want it for themselves.

The invaders found the eye of the needle. Diversity, multiculturalism, and the cult of victimization liberally watered by the politics of guilt, have provided them an entry point. They have now begun in ernest the struggle to irradicate our lagging western Protestant culture and way of life.

In the Kübler-Ross model, commonly known as "The Five Stages of Grief", we are now somwhere between depression, and acceptance. A full recover is possible, but I am not optimistic. Our First Amendment and what remains of our entire Biblically based rule of law is now in question. The renaming of streets, schools, and airports cannot be far off.

Three killed in Nigeria church suicide bombing
Abuja, Sep 24 (IANS) At least three people were killed and 22 injured in a suicide bombing at a Catholic church in Nigeria, officials said.

The explosion rocked the St. John's parish in Wunti area of northern Bauchi state during the Sunday morning mass, Xinhua reported.

Rescue officials at the scene of the incident said the three corpses included that of the suicide bomber, a female adult and a child.

Officials said the toll may increase.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a previous attack on a church in June, 12 people were killed when a suicide bomber from the Boko Haram group blew himself up in the northern city of Bauchi.
Ynet updates injury toll to 45, adds that it was a suicide car bomb.

Syria rebels plan to use Syrian territory to train
Syrian rebel fighters on the Turkish border are pushing ahead with a plan to turn territory in Idlib province that has been mostly under their control since early summer into a logistics and training base for fighters across the country.

The move, which could draw the regime's attention back to this swath of northwestern territory, shows how Syria's rebels are trying to consolidate control over pockets of liberated land along the Turkish border even as war rages farther north in Aleppo.

UAE Islamist Group Denies Reports It Has An Armed Wing
An Islamist group in the United Arab Emirates denied reports that its members had set up an armed wing with the aim of seizing power and establishing an Islamic state in the Gulf Arab country.

Rebels to move command center into Syria
Syrian activists say government and rebel forces continue to clash across the country, a day after the rebel Free Syrian Army announced it was moving its command center from Turkey to Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports that most of the casualties from fighting Sunday occurred in the northern part of Syria. The Britain-based group also said the government was using aerial support to target rebel forces in central Homs province.

A day earlier, the Free Syrian Army - formed mostly of military defectors - released a video saying it is moving its command to what it called "liberated areas" of Syria. FSA chief, Colonel Riad al-Asaad, said the group hopes to launch an offensive on the capital, Damascus.

Africa North
Did Clinton send gay Ambo to Libya as an intentional provocation?
A Serbian diplomat, and friend of Christopher Stevens, says the State Department knowingly sent the gay ambassador to Libya. Arab media says ambassador Stevens was gang raped and then his body was put on display.

Hillary Clinton has been spending US taxpayer dollars to fund homosexual pride events in foreign countries. Her actions have prompted backlashes against the US in Italy, Russia, Pakistan, and other nations. Last year, Barack Obama made it official US policy to fund homosexual rights groups overseas with US tax-dollars.

In Pakistan, the staff of the US embassy in Islamabad was placed in serious danger after being ordered to host a homosexual pride event. Pakistanis rioted outside the embassy and burned American flags.

Friends of Christopher Stevens in Chicago say he was gay. A member of the Serbian diplomatic team based in Chicago told HillBuzz.org that the State Department knowingly sent a gay man to be the ambassador of Libya. HillBuzz.org reports "in Chicago’s diplomatic circles at least there is no doubt that Chris Stevens was gay."

The question is, did Hillary Clinton know this? If so, she knowingly sent him into an environment where his presence would be considered a provocation. Hillary Clinton's track record in North Africa is absolutely dismal. The US State Department has successfully turned Libya and Egypt upside down and placed militant Islam in charge of those nations.

Clinton claimed that Libya and Egypt would become western style democracies. She even made the comical assertion that the Muslim Brotherhood was "committed to democracy." Now Clinton's "democracy activists" are murdering Christians in the streets of Egypt, burning American flags, and calling for holy war against Israel. Clinton seems hellbent on bringing the same chaos to Syria as well.

Clinton stated that Stevens killers were well armed and probably connected to Al-Qaeda. She neglects to mention that the Obama administration armed and supported hard-core Jihadists in Libya. Some of whom openly bragged about ties to Al-Qaeda. Hillary Clinton acts like she is surprised that such a reckless policy has blown up in her face.

According to leading Arab media outlets, the murder of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens was even more horrible than what was reported in on the US media. The Arab media reports that Stevens was beaten, gang raped, killed, and then his body was publicly displayed in a manner similar to Gaddafi.

A Libyan doctor who examined the body said Stevens had severe internal injuries and died of "severe asphyxia."

Three other Americans were murdered, including former Navy Seal Glen Doherty.

Christopher Stevens is the first US ambassador to be murder overseas since Adolph Dubs was killed in Afghanistan in 1976.

#1  Intentional? I really doubt it. More likely it's simply a consequence of US Gov't rules against discrimination. It is not possible for Govt agencies, or subcontractors, to discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race or sexual preference. Bottom line is that folks in the State Dept might have known about it, but could do nothing. And so if Stevens requested the assignment and was qualified - he got it.

#5  The American left has supported Islam over the Christian faith as evident through politics, leftist blogs, Hollywood, the arts community and many on the right have warned them repeatedly that Islam teaches death to the gay community in the harshest way, but they do not listen.

And now that they have empowered this savage monster even more and have tried to push their values on them, they now seem shocked that the power is being used against them in such a brutal way by their Mohommedan allies.

We keep dossiers on them. They do likewise. It's not personal, it's just business. Back in the day, homosexual activity was preceived as a lifestyle which could be exploited by a hostile intelligence service (HOIS - a term no longer used). The question of homosexuality was, as I recall, a regular or mandetory question on both the CI and Full Scope polygraph. Intelligence exploitation bsed on sexual orientation, how interesting, how novel a concept.

#8  There has always been rumors about Hillary pitching for the other team. If true, it wouldn't be a surprise if she was receptive to the ambo's request for a Libyan posting. Also diversity has always been a strategy of the Donk party to cobble together various vote blocks. I would also bet the ambassador posting to Egypt has never been well-received by the Egyptians. Gays and women who might have power over the Arabs would, I think, breed resentment. Doubt they are that fond of Hillary either. They are, after-all, the Mideast; it's not San Francisco.

International-UN-NGOs
Hamas Condemns UN Jewish Refugee Conference
[Ma'an] Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, on Saturday denounced a Israel-backed UN conference to discuss claims that Jews who used to live in Arab countries were forcibly expelled.

Hamas front man Sami Abu Zuhri
...a senior front man for Hamas. Zuhri gained notoriety in 2006 when he dropped his money belt containing somewhere between 640,000 and 900,000 euros, which was confiscated by Paleostinian security and customs officials at a routine border crossing from Egypt to Gazoo. The news brought competing Hamas and Fatah forces to the crossing checkpoint for an epic face-making and hollering contest...
said in a statement that "those Jews were not refugees as they claim. They were actually responsible for the displacement of the Paleostinian people after they secretly migrated from Arab countries to Paleostine before they expelled the Paleostinians from their lands to build a Jewish state at their expense."

He added: "Those Jews are criminals rather than refugees. They are the ones who turned the Paleostinian people into refugees, and for that reason, the Hamas movement views this conference as a dangerous, unprecedented move which contributes to the falsification of history and reversing of facts."

The conference, to discuss recognizing as refugees Middle Eastern Jews who immigrated, was denounced by Arab envoys at the UN who lodged unsuccessful protests to call it off.

But Israeli leaders considered it a victory for a population that is increasingly being linked to the grinding of the peace processor with the Paleostinians.

"Between the walls of the UN we are starting to bring justice to the Jewish refugees who were tortured, persecuted and driven away, and whose rights were revoked," said Danny Ayalon, Israel's deputy foreign minister, according to Israeli media.

"We are 64 years late, but it's never too late to bring justice and discuss the historic facts."

Hundreds of thousands of Middle Eastern Jews left predominantly Arab countries amid growing hostility following the establishment of Israel in the late 1940s.

Israel had also drafted a "Law of Return" that granted instant citizenship to anyone who can claim Jewish lineage. Most immigrants had no modern ties to the land.

At the same time, over 700,000 Paleostinians were driven from or fled historic Paleostine and today make up the largest refugee population on earth.

Israeli media reported a week earlier that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was preparing to add compensations for Jews who came from Arab and Mohammedan countries as a condition for any future peace deal.

PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat
...negotiated the Oslo Accords with Israel. He has been chief Paleostinian negotiator since 1995. He is currently negotiating with Israel to establish a de jure Paleostinian state...
said in response that there was no connection between Paleostinian refugees and Israelis whose families are from Arab countries, but he supported their right of return.

"We are not against any Jew who wants to return to Morocco, Iraq, Libya, Egypt and elsewhere. I believe no Arab state rejects the Jewish right of returning to their native lands," he said.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Report: Hamas Chief Wants To Step Down
Politburo Chief Khaled Mashaal will not seek reelection; says he's 'tired of policy challenges'
First Abu Abbas for the PA, now Mashaal for Hamas. Truly, we live in interesting times. Not that they can be blamed -- with the way the world economy is going, it's about to become no fun at all for those nominally in charge.
Can we still drone-zap him? Can we? Pleaaaaase?...
Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, always the voice of sweet reason,' leader in exile, Khaled Mashaal, is tired of policy challenges from the Islamist group's Gazoo-based leadership and is not seeking reelection in a vote now underway, political and diplomatic sources said Sunday.

Over the past five months, Hamas, which has ruled the Gazoo Strip since 2007, has been quietly holding a leadership ballot among activists in the territory, the West Bank, Israeli prisons and in Arab and other foreign countries.

Mashaal, who has led Hamas since 1996 from various Arab capitals, told a meeting of its bigwigs in Cairo last week that he had no desire to remain its chief and his decision not to run in the election was final, said a source close to Hamas.

"He (Mashaal) told them to pick another leader," the source said.

Mashaal and other Hamas officials have made no public comment on his future leadership or on the Cairo meeting.

Earlier this year, Mashaal angered Hamas's Gazoo-based leadership by agreeing that its main rival Fatah, headed by Paleostinian President the ineffectual the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
, could lead any future unity government.

Egypt has brokered a reconciliation pact between Hamas and Fatah, which fought a brief civil war in 2007 that left the Islamist group in control of the Gazoo Strip and Abbas in charge of the West Bank.

But implementation of the pact, which envisages a governing partnership and new Paleostinian elections, has been held up by the two sides' failure to carry out its clauses on the ground.

Mashaal has also voiced what critics in Hamas saw as approval for Abbas' now-stalled talks with Israel, saying in 2011 that 20 years after a 1991 international Middle East conference, Paleostinians were willing to give peace another chance.

"Mashaal has grown impatient with some of his Gazoo officials who recently tried to undermine decisions he took on behalf of the group," said a diplomatic source in the region.

Hamas has repeatedly denied any internal rift.

Haniyeh, Abu Marzouk shortlisted
Mashaal, the source added, was more politically savvy and more pragmatic than Hamas leaders who have lived only in the Gazoo Strip.

Israel has dismissed such distinctions, blaming Mashaal for planning attacks that have killed hundreds of its soldiers and civilians. In 1997, Mossad agents botched an attempt to kill him in Amman, an incident that strained ties with Jordan.

The diplomatic source said Mashaal was likely to come under pressure from within Hamas and from some Arab countries to agree to stand as a candidate before a final vote, whose date remains secret.

Another source, privy to the Hamas meeting in Cairo, said Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, the group's leader in Gazoo, and Moussa Abu Marzouk, who headed Hamas in the early 1990s, were the top candidates to replace Mashaal.

Both Haniyeh and Abu Marzouk support closer relations with Arab countries and Europe, while adhering to Hamas's policy of refusing Western demands to recognize Israel's right to exist.

The location of a new Hamas chief could be key to winning votes. Hamas activists have traditionally preferred leaders in exile, in venues seen as offering better personal security than in the Gazoo Strip which Israeli drones overfly frequently.

Jihadist Group Claims Responsibility For Friday's Border Attack
A jihadist group called Ansar Beit al-Makdas has grabbed credit for Friday's terror attack on the Egyptian border, which left one Israeli soldier dead.

The group said the attack was carried out to protest the anti-Islam video that sparked Mohammedan riots worldwide.
Sure, sure. Every day there's a new name and a new reason, but it all boils down to the same people and the same jihad.

Push To Call Blasphemy A Crime
THE divide in world opinion over what constitutes free speech will be on display again this week at the United Nations
...an international organization whose stated aims of facilitating interational security involves making sure that nobody with live ammo is offended unless it's a civilized country...
, where arguments over a proposed blasphemy law were an annual feature for a decade.

This time it is the global reaction to a YouTube video that disparages Islam's prophet Muhammad that is sure to roil the meeting of the UN General Assembly.

Moslem leaders have vowed to discuss the offensive video from their UN platforms, sowing concern among free-speech activists of a fresh push toward an international law that would criminalise blasphemy. Human rights groups and Western democracies resisted such a law for years and thought they had finally quashed the matter after convincing enough nations that repressive regimes used blasphemy laws to imprison or execute dissidents.

''I expect that we'll regress to where we were a couple of years ago,'' said Courtney Radsch, program manager for the Global Freedom of Expression Campaign at the non-profit group Freedom House.

''Human rights are not about protecting religions; human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
are to protect humans,'' she said. ''Who is going to be the decision-maker on deciding what blasphemy is?''

At one end of the spectrum is La Belle France, where a magazine on Wednesday published cartoons of Muhammad as a naked, cowering man to underscore a point that even the most offensive expression should be protected.

At the other end of the spectrum is the UN Secretary-General, the ephemeral Ban Ki-moon
... of whom it can be said to his credit that he is not Kofi Annan...
, who disappointed many free-speech activists last week by suggesting limitations to freedom of speech when it was ''used to provoke or humiliate''.

For years the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation, a 57-member bloc of countries, has proposed a resolution criminalising the defamation of religion. By last year free-speech proponents had persuaded so many countries to ditch the cause that no new defamation-of-religion resolution was proposed.

Now, Turkey heads the Organisation and the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has said he would raise the topic in New York next week.

PA Lifts West Bank Limits On Israeli Imports
Paleostinian Minister of Economy Jawad Naji said Sunday that the PA has lifted the order limiting the number of retailers allowed to market Israeli goods in the West Bank.

"We will allow any retailers to buy merchandise directly from the Israeli market without using middlemen," he said, adding that the move was meant to lower prices.
