Belgian Anti-Racism rabble-rouser Activist Forced To Flee
[TheGuardian] An anti-racism activist has said he was forced to leave the Belgian town of Ath on Sunday after a row with local authorities about a folkloric festival.

A carnival float featuring a white man in blackface called "the savage" featured on Sunday as part of Ath's annual festival, despite calls to abandon the practice, which campaigners say is an act of "symbolic violence" towards black people in Belgium.

Mouhad Reghif, a spokesman for the Brussels Panthers, who is leading a campaign against blackface, said he had been expelled from the town on the mayor's orders after being spotted by the police. He said officers had followed him for 30km on the motorway to make sure he left.
And that's how it's done. The way to protect your culture is to threaten physical harm to any bastard that insults it. Do read the whole thing at the Guardian.

#1  Blackface is deeply embedded in the culture of the !owlands — Belgium, the Netherlands, and reaching into Germany. St. Nicholas goes nowhere on December 6th without his faithful servant, Black Pete (and a donkey carrying a bag of gifts for good little children, but that’s not at issue here.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
San Bruno, California multicultural fail
[MAIL] 'These family members ultimately restrained the victim using a rope. Held him against his will, assaulted him multiple times and even threatened to kill him,' San Bruno Police Department Lieutenant Ryan Johansen said in a Facebook post.

Police said the teen boy was then released and he ran away from the home. He was then treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is being investigated as a possible hate crime because the boy reported that Suarez, Arguello and Amaya 'yelled at him using multiple racial slurs and he believed his race to be a motivating factor in the attack,' Johansen said.

The teen boy is African-American and the girl's family is of Hispanic descent.

The teen girl's older sisters dispute the claims that their parents attacked the boy for racial reasons and claimed that the incident was actually an issue of self defense.

One Side Will Lose - Compromise is No Longer Possible
[Robert Ringer.com] In my recent interview with the ever-prescient David Webb, I asked him if he believed the Democratic Party would ultimately destroy itself with its own hatred, to which he responded, "Either the Radical Left has to lose or America has to lose." Simple, profound, and true. The struggle between anti-American and pro-American forces long ago passed the point of compromise.

There are two reasons why compromise is no longer possible. First, when the Radical Left talks about compromise, they are not envisioning meeting in the true middle with conservatives. Their idea of compromising on a system of government is to meet in the middle between communism and socialism. Kind of like death by shooting or death by hanging.

The other reason compromise is not possible is because you cannot compromise between good and evil. You cannot compromise between moral and immoral. You cannot compromise between civil and uncivil. Thus, to compromise with progressives is to compromise with evil, immoral, uncivilized people. Not a good idea.

I was saying it decades ago, and I’m more certain about it today than ever before: Sane, civilized people of goodwill are in a struggle to the death with insane, uncivilized people whose goal is to enslave or destroy those who believe in the principles of liberty and non-aggression. So, yes, David Webb is correct. The Radical Left must lose if America is to survive.

Notwithstanding all he has accomplished, even President Trump does not truly understand what is at play here. Take his latest self-destructive interaction with Dirty Dem mouthpiece George Stephanopoulos. The question is not whether Trump said anything morally or legally wrong. Obviously, he did not.

The real question is, why would he agree to be interviewed by a left-wing cheerleader like Stephanopoulos in the first place? Is it simply because he enjoys sparring with the enemy? C’mon, Donald, this is not a game. This is war. The objective is to destroy the enemy, not give him an opportunity to trick you into looking bad.

The second question is, why in the world was George Stephanopoulos even allowed into the Oval Office? What was Trump thinking when he bought into such a perversity? This is not a game. This is war. The objective is to destroy the enemy, not give him an opportunity to defecate on Bill Clinton’s playground.

#3  Appearing in an interview with Mr. Stephanopoulos allowed him to be seen by an audience that mostly has been exposed only to the straw man created by the hateful left. Even manipulated he won’t be nearly as bad as been painted, anyone who believes in the ideals of liberalism will start questioning. All President Trump needs to win is for people to stay home, not to come all the way over to voting for him.

#7  At one time, the INC (Indian National Congress) was so mighty and unassailable, it was as if India were a uni-party democracy. They had groomed the media, made the citizens believe in their shit for half a century.

What hastened their demise was the arrival of fresh 'young talent' in their ranks, fearless anti-establishment types without brains or tact. And their over-appeasement of 'historically underprivileged' minorities. Soon, there was dissension in the ranks, gaffes from a mostly senile old guard and embarrassing graft stinking to high heaven. Some of that ring a bell ?

I'm just saying, all it takes is pride, and the momentum accrued by the incompetence snowball a complacent administration ignores the first few times. I believe the times of the American DNC are coming to an end. In the coming years they shall become a joke, their voices suppressed by disdain. And the world will see that conservatives were the actual progressives, and democrat 'liberals' were just autocratic buffoons.

#8  A British financial journalist asked Kissinger his opinion of Trump. Dr. K paused and then said, semi-cryptically - you can imagine the idea taking guttural shape in his glottal cavity before he intoned it in Strangelovean bass - "Trump is exposing the pretenses of the liberal international order."

Translation: T is exposing the hollowness, the shallowness, the cynicism and the BS behind the globalists' self-serving and disastrous policies and their smug and self-regarding rhetoric.

Damn long time coming.

China-Japan-Koreas
China announces it seeks 'calm' end to trade war, as markets tank and currency hits 11-year flatline
[FoxNews] China signaled on Monday it was now seeking a "calm" end to its ongoing trade war with the U.S., as Asian markets crumbled and China's currency plummeted to an 11-year low following the latest tariffs on $550 billion in Chinese goods announced last Friday by the Trump administration.

Trump said Monday that officials from China called U.S. officials and expressed interest to "get back to the table," The Wall Street Journal reported. He called the discussions a "very positive development."

"They want to make a deal. That's a great thing," he said.

News of the possible opening in negotiations came shortly after President Trump threatened to declare a national emergency that would result in American businesses freezing their relationships with China. Trump's tariff barrage on Friday was a response to China imposing its own retaliatory tariffs on $75 billion in U.S. goods.

At the Group of Seven summit in France on Sunday, White House officials rejected suggestions the president was wavering and insisted that his only regret was not implementing even more tariffs on China. Trump wrote on Twitter that world leaders at the G-7 were "laughing" at all the inaccurate media coverage of the gathering.

In response, Chinese Vice Premier Liu He told a state-controlled newspaper on Monday that "China is willing to resolve its trade dispute with the United States through calm negotiations and resolutely opposes the escalation of the conflict," Reuters first reported, citing a transcript of his remarks provided by the Chinese government. Liu is China's top trade negotiator.
China knows it is in trouble. The only problem with a new trade deal, is that they will break it fast as they can.

Fuck China. Let it collapse and break apart.

As implied by DarthV, if a deal is made, there is going to have to be a lot of close monitoring after the deal, back in 2017 I was pretty sure the Trump Admin wouldn't know how to do this. By now, I think they should have the capability and the incentive to do the monitoring.

#6  Why is that China can own business and factories in the USA, while Americans cannot own business or factories in China?
Posted by: Seeking Cure For Ignorance || 08/26/2019 10:57 Comments || Top||

#7  actually several American companies own and operate biz in China

this is not necessarily good and not necessarily bad

for example there is Abbott Lab

they employ a lot of people to make nutritional products that are sold to wholesalers in China, people are employed, the company makes a profit

they also employ a lot of people in R&D which could be done in a lot of places but China has some advantages for them, for example, lower salaries, for another, the initial testing of products may be done without compliance with US regulations -- true they will have to do the compliance eventually to sell in the US but the initial testing will eliminate candidates quicker than they would if the R&D was done in the US. They do have to pay various type of legal or quasi legal bribes (sometime disguised as no work consultant fees to the relatives of govt officials)

it is complicated

Uh-oh: Silicon Valley is building a Chinese-style social credit system
[Fast Company] In China, scoring citizens’ behavior is official government policy. U.S. companies are increasingly doing something similar, outside the law.

Have you heard about China’s social credit system? It’s a technology-enabled, surveillance-based nationwide program designed to nudge citizens toward better behavior. The ultimate goal is to "allow the trustworthy to roam everywhere under heaven while making it hard for the discredited to take a single step," according to the Chinese government.

In place since 2014, the social credit system is a work in progress that could evolve by next year into a single, nationwide point system for all Chinese citizens, akin to a financial credit score. It aims to punish for transgressions that can include membership in or support for the Falun Gong or Tibetan Buddhism, failure to pay debts, excessive video gaming, criticizing the government, late payments, failing to sweep the sidewalk in front of your store or house, smoking or playing loud music on trains, jaywalking, and other actions deemed illegal or unacceptable by the Chinese government.

It can also award points for charitable donations or even taking one’s own parents to the doctor.

Punishments can be harsh, including bans on leaving the country, using public transportation, checking into hotels, hiring for high-visibility jobs, or acceptance of children to private schools. It can also result in slower internet connections and social stigmatization in the form of registration on a public blacklist.

China’s social credit system has been characterized in one pithy tweet as "authoritarianism, gamified."

#4  A company called PatronScan sells three products—kiosk, desktop, and handheld systems—designed to help bar and restaurant owners manage customers. PatronScan is a subsidiary of the Canadian software company Servall Biometrics, and its products are now on sale in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

PatronScan helps spot fake IDs—and troublemakers. When customers arrive at a PatronScan-using bar, their ID is scanned. The company maintains a list of objectionable customers designed to protect venues from people previously removed for “fighting, sexual assault, drugs, theft, and other bad behavior,” according to its website. A “public” list is shared among all PatronScan customers. So someone who’s banned by one bar in the U.S. is potentially banned by all the bars in the U.S., the U.K., and Canada that use the PatronScan system for up to a year. (PatronScan Australia keeps a separate system.)

Judgment about what kind of behavior qualifies for inclusion on a PatronScan list is up to the bar owners and managers. Individual bar owners can ignore the ban, if they like. Data on non-offending customers is deleted in 90 days or less. Also: PatronScan enables bars to keep a “private” list that is not shared with other bars, but on which bad customers can be kept for up to five years.

PatronScan does have an “appeals” process, but it’s up to the company to grant or deny those appeals.

And you don't want to be a conservative.

The road not taken: Another FBI failure involving the Clintons surfaces
[The Hill] August in Washington can be the political equivalent of an elephant graveyard: One good rain can wash away the dirt and expose the bones of scandals past.

And this August did not disappoint. Thanks to the relentless investigative work of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), we are learning that the Hillary Clinton email case may not really be settled.

A staff memo updating the two senators’ long-running probe discloses that the FBI ‐ the version run in 2016 by the now-disgraced and fired James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok ‐ failed to pursue access to "highly classified" evidence that could have resolved important questions.

The failure to look at the evidence back in 2016 occurred even though the agents believed access to the sensitive evidence was "necessary" to complete the investigation into Clinton’s improper transmission of classified emails ‐ some top-secret ‐ on her unsecure private email server, the memos show.

To make matters worse, the Trump Department of Justice (DOJ) has known about that decision since at least 2018, thanks to the work of the DOJ’s internal watchdog, Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz, who provided DOJ leaders and Congress with a classified appendix explaining what happened.

But Johnson and Grassley have been unable to get answers for a year, even from Attorney General William Barr, about whether the FBI intends to look at the critical evidence it skipped back in 2016.

The Senate staff memo succinctly lays out just how egregious the FBI’s decision was in 2016.

The inspector general’s "appendix raised a number of serious questions because, as explained on page 154 of the unclassified DOJ IG report, the FBI decided not to seek access to certain highly classified information potentially relevant to the investigation despite members of the FBI case team referring to the review as a ’necessary’ part of the investigation," the Senate staff wrote.

"As a result of the findings in that appendix, Senator Grassley wrote a classified letter to DOJ on October 17, 2018, which remains unanswered. On January 15, 2019, at Mr. Barr’s nomination hearing, Senator Grassley asked Mr. Barr if he would answer the letter, if confirmed, to which he attested, ’Yes, Senator.’ On April 16, 2019, Senators Grassley, Johnson, and Graham sent a letter to Attorney General Barr reiterating the need for a written response to that letter."

The DOJ’s silence on the road that the FBI willfully chose not to take is all the more deafening given what we already know about the Clinton email case.

As I previously wrote, then-FBI Director Comey’s original draft findings in the Clinton case concluded her transmission of classified emails through an unsecure server was "grossly negligent," the legal standard supporting a felony charge under the Espionage Act.

And now we learn the FBI willfully chose to ignore highly classified evidence in the Clinton email case and has stonewalled Congress for a year on whether it intends to reexamine that evidence.

It’s exactly that sort of behavior that leaves many Americans wondering whether there are two systems of justice inside the FBI ‐ one for the Clintons, and one for the rest of the country.

So far little has occurred that is visible that would make one think that we are not a 2-tiered system of justice and that the FBI is not slow-walking information.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Marianne Williamson is Crazy . 'Nuff said.
[Breitbart] Spiritual author and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson on Sunday's "Kasie DC" on MSNBC discussed the strategy behind her campaign.

Williamson said Americans "are ready for a deeper conversation than just a horse race," so she is talking about things like "creating a moral economy" and "race in a deeper level."

"I'm bringing something," Williamson declared. "I'm talking about millions of traumatized American children. I'm talking about race in a deeper level that has been talking about [sic]. I'm talking about a department of peace and waging peace. I'm talking about creating a moral economy. That's what matters - the conversation I'm having with the American people."
I wonder if only she sees these deeply conversant people.
The presidential hopeful went on to say the conversation she is having with Americans is about what is happening in their minds.

"And for those of us who are actually in the campaign, that's where you keep your attention. Not what I call the political media industrial complex. That's not what politics should be about. It should be about the conversation that the American people are having," she advised.

What she represents is best summed up in her own sparkling foreign policy advice on Syria.

9 Jeffrey Epstein: Another Clinton-related 'suicide'
[AmericanThinker] For now, Jeffrey Epstein's death is officially a suicide, but something still smells fishy, as Dr. Marc Siegel noted on Fox News recently. Based on the evidence and autopsy, he doesn't rule out foul play. It could be a suicide that was allowed to happen or even encouraged, what with guards falling asleep, guard logs being falsified, cellmates being removed. As BizPacReview reports:

A Fox News medical correspondent believes the latest autopsy reports on Jeffrey Epstein "increase the chances" that his death was "a murder rather than a suicide."

Dr. Marc Siegel, in an interview with Fox Business Network, discussed the developing reports on the death of the 66-year-old billionaire and convicted sex offender who died by apparent suicide last week at the federal prison in New York where he was being held without bond while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. ...

"In his case, the autopsy is now revealing that multiple bones were broken in his neck including the hyoid," Siegel said Thursday.

"The hyoid bone might break in strangulation about one-third to one-half of the time. In suicide, hanging, it might break 6‐10 percent of the time, depending on which study you look at[.] ... Much less percentage," he explained. ...

"Something in this situation really smells, Seigel replied, noting that the Metropolitan Correctional Center where Epstein was being held has not had a suicide in decades.

CNN's 'Reliable Source' Says Trump 'May Be Responsible' For More Deaths Than Hitler, Stalin, And Mao
[Townhall] When CNN's Brian "Tater" Stelter isn't worrying about whether or not Sean Spicer's foxtrot around ABC's dancefloor will cause lasting damage to America's social fabric, he's bringing guests on 'Reliable Sources' to sound off cockamamie psychological theories around President Donald J. Trump. Today, Stelter had on a psychiatrist who suggested that President Trump is 'more destructive' than Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong combined. Ex-Townhall contributor and current Washington Examiner writer Julio Rosas picked up the exchange.

Dr. Allen Frances, former chairman of the Psychiatry Department at Duke University, told Stelter that he is not in favor of psychologists and psychiatrists diagnosing President Trump as "crazy" because doing so hides the fact that Americans are "crazy" for electing him.

Joe Arpaio announces 2020 bid for 7th term as Maricopa County sheriff
[AXIOS] Joe Arpaio, who in 2017 became the first person to be pardoned by President Trump, announced Sunday an attempt to get his old job back as sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, in 2020.

The big picture: Arpaio is known for his hardline stances on immigration. He lost his bid for a 7th term as mayor when he was convicted of criminal contempt of court for disobeying a 2011 court order in an immigration case. In 2018, he lost an Arizona Republican Senate primary bid to then-Rep. Martha McSally.

The Grand Turk
Five Turkish Generals Handed In Resignations
[Jpost] Five generals from the Ottoman Turkish army have handed in resignations in the wake of a military council meeting earlier this month, opposition newspaper Cumhuriyet said on Sunday.

The Supreme Military Council (YAS), chaired by President Tayyip Erdogan, convened to discuss promotions, dismissals and placements of the high-ranking military personnel on Aug 1.

The resignations by one major general and four brigadier generals were submitted as a reaction to council decisions which were described by retired military officers as an attempt to make the Ottoman Turkish army smaller, the unsourced Cumhuriyet report said.

There was no immediate comment from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
's defense ministry.

Two of the generals were known to be the army officers responsible for Syria's Idlib region where Turkey has a military presence, Cumhuriyet said.

Conservative Group Has Started Making Journalists Play by the New Rules and the Journalists Are Terrified of What's Coming
[RedState] If you’ve ever watched CNN’s rainman, Andrew Kaczynski, aka @KFile, at work you know how this stupid gotcha game is played. You go back through the target’s writings, often delving into college newspaper columns, looking for untoward things that they may have said and then splash the findings across the internet as though they were particularly relevant. This is an example that is happening now where out of context and completely defensible statements are being manipulated by CNN to try to torpedo an appeals court nominee:

Steven Menashi, who is nominated for the Second Circuit, wrote dozens of editorials and blog posts in the late 1990s and early 2000s for a number of college and professional conservative publications.
https://t.co/PCuYO2pN4N

‐ andrew kaczynski🤔 (@KFILE) August 22, 2019

So today, the New York Times reported that what was sauce for the goose will be sauce for the gander in 2020:

A loose network of conservative operatives allied with the White House is pursuing what they say will be an aggressive operation to discredit news organizations deemed hostile to President Trump by publicizing damaging information about journalists.

Operatives have closely examined more than a decade’s worth of public posts and statements by journalists, the people familiar with the operation said. Only a fraction of what the network claims to have uncovered has been made public, the people said, with more to be disclosed as the 2020 election heats up. The research is said to extend to members of journalists’ families who are active in politics, as well as liberal activists and other political opponents of the president.

The group, so far, has been responsible for the firing of a CNN photo editor who liked to tweet anti-Semitic stuff in his free time and it unearthed racist and anti-Semitic writings by a New York Times politics editor named Tom Wright-Piersanti.

There are more on the way:

The operation has compiled social media posts from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and stored images of the posts that can be publicized even if the user deletes them, said the people familiar with the effort. One claimed that the operation had unearthed potentially "fireable" information on "several hundred" people.
Fireable? One would think their employers would be grateful to get such people off their payrolls.
"I am sure there will be more scalps," said Sam Nunberg, a former aide to Mr. Trump who is a friend of Mr. Schwartz.

Mr. Nunberg and others who are familiar with the campaign described it as meant to expose what they see as the hypocrisy of mainstream news outlets that have reported on the president’s inflammatory language regarding race.

"Two can play at this game," he said. "The media has long targeted Republicans with deep dives into their social media, looking to caricature all conservatives and Trump voters as racists."

#1  They are being strengthened, even now. Armaments and tactics have to be trained into a military, it's not enough just dumping stuff into the desert. It takes time. The timetable got screwed because of news of the pullout. Clearly, the American adventure here is over. It's just humanitarian obligation keeping them from ditching these poor bastards. I don't blame them for trying and failing. India is no less non-committal with her 'friends'.

Trump was right though. You cannot be expected to descend to the level required for this conflict. The solution rests even beyond killing 10 million. It entails suppressing the assumed rights of every person in a foreign geographic area, of an un-relatable social demographic for years, expecting them to understand and accept it's all for the better.

Even if you carpet bomb the shit out of them, de-populate to an extent when only pro-democracy natives are left (which is impossible), you cannot cure the inherent tribal factionalism in the culture itself. Say, you were able to convert them all to some progressive idea of islam which featured coexistence, it would still require another decade of sacrifice of US personnel (or somebody's personnel) and a belligerent Pakistain always interfering, with the UN yapping at your heels.

No. Leave them be, give them a fighting chance, isolate the Pakistanis and their ISI menagerie of sasquatches, sanction their meddling and presence in Afghanistan. Limit China's economic spending in other nations.

If the Afghan govt still loses to the Taliban, a war is ensured between ISIS and taliban. When the blood from that spills over into the world's consciences, begin to blame it all on Pakistain. India and the Afghans will gladly supply 'proof' for their culpability.

Finally, have India nuke Quetta (in an October, when the South-west monsoon winds recede). Not by much, say... 10 KT ? When they try to escalate, the US must bring the power of the entire 'civilized' world to bear on them, lest they initiate MAD. By December, there can be thanksgiving packages being dropped as aid into outlying affected regions. Repairs and nursing of a shocked 'Stain. Trump's not the villain, he stopped the war. It was India's nuke.

But all this would require a synchronized effort with India growing balls and pitching in for the whole ride. And for all of us to outgrow our faux-humanist ideals. Don't worry, we'll still be better than those people who'd kill millions per day, sparing only rich Tofu eaters.

Get Ready For Apocalypse Ruth
[Townhall] Progressives’ ghoulish glee over the death of an old man turned into barely constrained panic when, later that day, it was revealed that their heroine Ruth Bader Ginsberg was just treated for pancreatic cancer yet again. Their disgraceful joy at David Koch’s passing was yet another reminder of the harsh truth that leftists want you dead or enslaved. Koch’s sin was that he disagreed with liberals (though, in important ways, also with conservatives). For that, these cretins danced around like idiots celebrating his succumbing. And they’ll celebrate when you die too. Always believe people who tell you they hate you and want you dead.

Oh, and never disarm.

Of course, RBG is eager to disarm you, and she would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for those meddling Supreme Court kids who actually read Second Amendment. Her constitutional jurisprudence consists of disregarding what she dislikes that’s in the Bill of Rights and making up stuff that’s not in it but that she feels ‐ not thinks, feels ‐ should be in it. She’s a terrible justice and conservatives would love to see her step down. But our side expressed no delight in her latest suffering comparable to the giddy revelry that greeted Koch’s kicking the bucket. We’re not monsters, though how long that remains true is up in the air. When you establish New Rules they tend to come back and bite you on the Schumer.

French President Macron's G-7 Summit Iran Stunt
[Powerline] French president Emmanuel Macron invited Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, to Biarritz, France, where the G-7 summit is convened. Zarif reportedly met for several hours with Macron, his foreign minister, and diplomats from Great Britain and Germany.

Macron’s stunt didn’t just catch President Trump off guard. At least some leaders of other G-7 nations apparently weren’t told in advance about Zarif’s visit, either.
(Trump now says he was told in advance)
Macron disagrees with the Trump administration’s tough policies towards Iran, and that’s okay. He also wants to promote dialogue with the mullahs, and that’s okay too.

But Macron could have met with Zarif at any time. Why did he choose to so while Trump was in France?

Macron has been pushing Trump to soften, if not reverse, American policy towards Iran. He wants the U.S. to allow Iran to export a limited amount of oil. Reportedly, he also wants to broker talks between the Trump administration and the Iranian regime. Ultimately, he hopes to persuade Trump to accept a nuclear deal with Iran along the lines of President Obama’s deal.

Condemning the absurdity of boys-pretending-to-be-girlz = ThoughtCrime punishable by economic death sentence.

Look at the grotesquely sad experience of Selina Soule, the high school girl track star on the other side of the US, in Connecticut.

Selina Soule spoke about the disgusting absurdity of two boys pretending to be girls - with a bit of mascara and long locks - and entering girls' sprinting events in CT. These nincompoops then proceeded to shatter every CT girls' record in the sport in short order -- even though neither of them had ever won a single track race while competing naturally, as what they are, ie in the CT boys' track events.

But that real girl's track career is effectively over. Selina Soule won't be recruited by any decent college. She's out of luck for athletic scholarship and is suffering real economic harm.

#3  So, women's sports are effectively over. It's all back to men. Serves the feminists right in a way, building such a momentum of hostility and manic compulsiveness against men, it became self perpetuated. Then the LGBTQNation came along and hijacked it, giving the advantage back to inferior mamma's boys and psickos like that Yanniv thingy.

#4  Now the feminists are in a real pickle. Our Title IX regulations mandate that colleges and universities provide "equal opportunities for women."

How can it possibly be the case that equal opportunity is served by giving over all the rewards of women's athletics to (would-be)chicks-with-dicks?

Live by intersectionality, die by intersectionality.

But it's ordinary non-SJ warrior girl athletes like Selina and the Maui girl volleyballers who pay the price for their PC elders' madness.

For shame.

The Himba of Northern Namibia, Where a Man Comes First
[Pulse] Down in the Kunene and Omusati regions of Northern Namibia, are the semi-nomadic people of Ovahimba and Ovazimba tribes.

It is customary, for them, for the the women to engage in daily activities of milking cows, taking care of the children while the men go hunting, sometimes leaving for long periods of time.

With a population of over 50,000, the Himba are a polygamous people where Himba girls are married off to male partners selected by their fathers once they attain puberty.

Most of their cultures have been upheld despite western influence and agitation.

Among these is the "Man comes first" tradition. The woman has little or no opinion in the decision making. Submission to her husband’s demands come first.

According to the Guardian, "When a visitor comes knocking, a man shows his approval and pleasure of seeing his guest by giving him the Okujepisa Omukazendu treatment ‐ the wife is given to his guest to spend the night while the husband sleeps in another room. In a case where there is no available room, her husband will sleep outside."

This, apparently, reduces jealousy and fosters relationships.

15 Former Spooks Who Work At CNN And MSNBC Now
[Daily Caller] CNN added to its deep roster of former FBI and CIA officials-turned-analysts Friday with the hiring of Andrew McCabe, the former FBI deputy director fired for lack of candor during an investigation last year.

McCabe is the tenth ex-FBI, CIA or intelligence community official CNN has hired during the Trump administration, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation analysis. MSNBC has followed closely behind, having hired five former officials, including former CIA Director John Brennan.

CNN was widely mocked on Friday after announcing the McCabe hiring, largely because the network has criticized its competitors for hiring former Trump administration officials. But the personnel move is also part of a larger trend that has come under scrutiny from some media observers.

The massive balloons that have made drug smuggling by plane nearly extinct
[Washington Examiner] RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas ‐ It was just another Monday in 2001 when a few of the country’s top national security officials gathered inside the Pentagon to discuss taking all the air out of a program that used balloons for surveillance near the U.S.-Mexico border.

The goal of the gathering was to push TARS, or Tethered Aerostat Radar Systems, comparable in appearance to unmanned stationary blimps but containing top-of-the-line airplane detectors, onto another department's shoulders. That day, the Air Force, which had overseen TARS since 1992, washed its hands of it, not caring if the program came to an end.

The next morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four U.S. commercial airplanes and turned off the aircraft's transponders. The only way the government was able to track those flights was by using air radars: the same types of radars flying inside the balloons on the southwest border.

"That situation heightened the vulnerability and the security concern against air, and there was no more talk of terminating TARS from that point forward," explains Rob Brown, a senior official within U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations component.

After 9/11, the Air Force held onto TARS until 2013, when the program was permanently moved to the Department of Homeland Security. Since then, Brown has overseen TARS and affectionately refers to the aerostats as "big ass balloons." They can also be defined as motionless sacks, tethered to the ground, and filled with a buoyant gas and carrying cameras capable of detecting activity far away.

Quader: Zia betrayed Bangabandhu
[Dhaka Tribune] Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said BNP founder Ziaur Rahman and his family betrayed the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the country as well.

“We know the assassins of the 1975 carnage. We also know those who patronized the killers and helped them to go abroad: Ziaur Rahman and his family betrayed Bangabandhu and the country,” he said, addressing a discussion in the capital on Sunday.

North South University organized the meeting on its campus, marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.

Speaking as chief guest, Quader said that after betraying Bangabandhu and the country, Zia himself became a victim of treachery.

Obaidul Quader said if Zia had not patronized the killers of Bangabandhu, another killing would not have taken place in 1981 and he would not have been killed.

Quader, also Awami League General Secretary, said: “Awami League men did not kill Zia. He was killed by his close ones.”

The 15 August carnage and the 21 August killings are interlinked, he said, adding that the Harkat-ul-Jihad leader confessed that as per the instruction of Hawa Bhaban, the outlaw group carried out the grenade attack on an Awami League rally on Bangabandhu Avenue on August 21 in 2004, with a primary target of killing, then opposition leader, Sheikh Hasina.

SC dismisses Qari Ishaq’s appeal in hate content case
[DAWN] The Supreme Court has held that testimony of a police witness in a case falls under credible evidence and subject to the same standard of proof and principles of scrutiny as applicable to any other category of witnesses.

"Police officials are as good witnesses as any other and their evidence is subject to same standard of proof and principles of scrutiny as applicable to any other category of witnesses," said Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin Ahmed while rejecting an appeal of Qari Mohammad Ishaq Ghazi against a Lahore High Court order.

The LHC in its ruling had upheld the trial court’s decision against Qari Ishaq for possessing pamphlets, fraught with incendiary contents aimed at inciting hatred towards a particular sect. He was arrested by police contingent in Okara and was later sentenced to five years imprisonment with a fine of Rs100,000 under Section 9 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997.

In the SC judgement, Justice Ahmed wrote the police officials, being functionaries of the state, were no less credible witnesses to drive home the charge in a milieu of pervasive apathy towards civic responsibilities. The verdict stated people preferred to recuse behind safety instead of coming forward in aid of justice.

Turkish airstrikes neutralize 9 PKK militants in northern Iraq
Ankara (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Ottoman Turkish fighter jets neutralized nine PKK members during an anti-terror operation in northern Iraq, the Ottoman Turkish Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

Airstrikes were carried out in Haftanin region in northern Iraq in coordination with the ongoing Operation Claw 3, Anadolu Agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement, adding the operation continues successfully.

It added that the operation also destroyed weapon emplacements and shelters used by PKK members.

Ottoman Turkish authorities often use the term "neutralize" in statements to imply the murderous Moslems in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

Ottoman Turkish security forces launched Friday Operation Claw 3 in Sinat-Haftanin region in northern Iraq, according to a statement from the Ottoman Turkish National Defense Ministry on Saturday.

The operation was launched to facilitate border security, neutralize terrorists, destroy caves and shelters in Sinat-Haftanin in northern Iraq, according to the statement.

On May 27, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
launched Operation Claw against the PKK in the Hakurk region of northern Iraq. The ongoing offensive has neutralized dozens of Lions of Islam so far.

PKK Lions of Islam often use northern Iraq as a base to plan cross-border terrorist attacks on Turkey.

Revolutionary Guards commander denies Iranian targets hit in Syria air strikes
[DAWN] A senior Revolutionary Guards commander denied on Sunday that Iranian targets had been hit in Israeli air strikes in Syria, the semi-official ILNA news agency reported.

An Israeli military spokesperson had said on Saturday that an Israeli aircraft on Saturday struck Iranian forces near Damascus that had been planning to launch “killer drones” at targets in Israel.

“This is a lie and not true. [...] Israel and the United States do not have the power to attack Iran's various centres, and our (military) advisory centres have not been harmed,” said Revolutionary Guards Maj Gen Mohsen Rezaei, who is also the secretary of a powerful state body, ILNA reported.
An Nahar adds:
Israeli air strikes near the Syrian capital overnight killed two fighters of the Lebanese group Hizbullah, an Iranian combatant and two unidentified fighters, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said Sunday.

The Observatory said the Israeli raids targeted "Iranian and Hizbullah posts" in the southeast of Damascus.

[NYPOST] Seven people were maimed in Maryland when a shooter shot up a 2-year-old’s birthday party, authorities said.

The shooting broke out Saturday night near Camp Springs where a dozen people were gathered for the toddler’s birthday celebration, according to Prince George’s County Police.

Three people were critically injured and four others suffered "less serious" injuries in the gunfire, police said. The seven victims ‐ who are between the ages 18 and 20 ‐ were transported to the hospital and are all expected to survive.
Survivors, the obvious downside.
Prince George’s County police Cpl. Nicholas Clayton said there may have been words exchanged before the shots were fired.

Police haven’t released information about the suspect, who is still on the lam.

Hong Kong police draw guns, use water cannon in clashes
[Al Jazeera] Hong Kong police have used water cannon for the first time and at least one officer fired his sidearm during pitched battles with protesters, one of the most violent nights in three months of pro-democracy rallies that have rocked the city.

Thousands of protesters on Sunday poured onto the streets of the Tsuen Wan neighbourhood, where they clashed with police, who fired tear gas and eventually turned to two vehicles armed with water cannon to disperse the demonstrators, who gathered despite steady rains.

At least one petrol bomb was thrown by protesters, some of whom took off down narrow side streets where the water cannon, which had not been used in years of anti-government protests, could not follow.

In one instance, several coppers drew their sidearms, an AFP news agency news hound at the scene said.

"According to my understanding, just now a gunshot was fired by a colleague," Superintendent Leung Kwok Win told the press on Sunday.

"My initial understanding was that it was a uniformed policeman who fired his gun."

It was unclear where the shot was aimed, but public broadcaster RTHK said one of its news hounds saw a uniformed officer fire a shot into the sky.

Some dug up bricks from the pavement and wheeled them away to use as ammunition, others sprayed detergent on the road to make it slippery for the lines of police.

The Chinese-ruled city's MTR rail operator suspended some services to try to prevent people from gathering.

The demonstration continued despite the arrest of 29 people after overnight festivities that saw authorities use tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Home Ministry listing razakars
[Dhaka Tribune] The Home Ministry has started listing the name of the collaborators who received payment from the Pakistain government during the Liberation War in 1971.

The enlistment of collaborators, or razakars, follows the letter issued by the Liberation War Affairs Ministry earlier this year, said Shajahan Khan, chairman of the ministry’s Parliamentary Standing Committee.

The issue was revealed on Sunday during the Liberation War Affairs Ministry’s Parliamentary committee meeting.

Briefing the media after the meeting, Shajahan said: "Letters have been sent to the deputy commissioners (DCs).

"The DC has been told to prepare the rajakar’s list using their respective district’s archive and publish it in the gazette," he added.

Asked when the list would be prepared, he said: "It depends on the DCs."

Earlier in May, the House panel said a Demi-Official (DO) letter had been sent to the Home Ministry and deputy commissioners to archive the list of razakars, Al Badr, al-Shams and the anti-liberation forces.

The committee also recommended including those members in the list who were given the parliamentary seats of the elected Awami League leaders in 1970.

War not our choice, but will fight till the end if it is imposed: Fawad Chaudhry
[DAWN] Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday said that while war was not a choice Islamabad would willingly make, Pakistain was ready to retaliate if it is imposed.

Speaking to news hounds in Lahore, Chaudhry said that Pakistain had made all efforts to take relations with India towards normalisation but they had not been reciprocated.

Recalling that Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five...
had once promised that Pakistain will take two steps towards peace if India takes one, Chaudhry warned: "We have stated that if you [India] work towards peace, we will reciprocate. But if you want to wage war, we will fight back till the end."

At the Kartarpur Corridor groundbreaking ceremony, the premier had said that one is supposed to learn from history, not live in it, Chaudhry recalled.

When asked about the role of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Moslem bloc in the Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
dispute, Chaudhry said: "There is no Moslem bloc now. [...] All Moslem countries are embroiled in conflict. [Of the] countries that are stable, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
is standing by us; the rest will take decisions according to their own interests.

"No doubt, there is disappointment in Pakistain over the award recently conferred upon [Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi] by the UAE. We consider UAE as a friend to Pakistain and it must not be forgotten that Pakistain had a huge role in making Dubai what it is today."

#6  Steve, they're still going on about Kashmir. It's a very bitter loss to them. All the Jamaats and alliances with militant factions that support their own fragile democracy depended on the promise of delivering Kashmir as a new haven and opening into the sub-continent. And to China they promised dominance of the entire Karakorum range.

A cash cow and a bugbear at the same time, they know it's gone forever now. But they've got to play to their own galleries. Their inflow of cash to their non-state actors solicited from Qatar, UAE, Iran, by top ISI brass - islamist donations for the liberation of Kashmir. All gone.

The Grand Turk
Iranian oil tanker pursued by US says it is going to Turkey
[DAWN] An Iranian-flagged oil tanker pursued by the US amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington changed its listed destination to a port in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
early on Saturday after Greece said it wouldn’t risk its relations with America by aiding it.

The crew of the Adrian Darya 1, formerly known as the Grace 1, updated its listed destination in its Automatic Identification System to Mesrin, Turkey, a port city in the country’s south and home to an oil terminal.

However,
the hip bone's connected to the leg bone...
mariners can input any destination into the AIS, so Turkey may not be its true destination. Mesrin is some 200 kilometres (125 miles) northwest of a refinery in Baniyas, Syria, where authorities alleged the Adrian Darya had been heading before being seized off Gibraltar in early July.

Iranian state media and officials did not immediately acknowledge the new reported destination of the Adrian Darya, which carries 2.1 million barrels of Iranian crude oil worth some $130 million. Nor was there any immediate reaction from Turkey, whose President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
deals directly with Tehran and Russia over Syria’s long war.

The ship-tracking website MarineTraffic.com showed the Adrian Darya’s position as just south of Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea. At current speeds, it estimated the Adrian Darya would reach Mesrin in about a week.

The State Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The tanker’s detention and later released by Gibraltar has fuelled the growing tensions between Iran

The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. and the US after President Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
unilaterally withdrew America from Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers over a year ago. In the time since, Iran lost billions of dollars in business deals allowed by the deal as the US re-imposed and created sanctions largely blocking Tehran from selling crude oil aboard, a crucial source of hard currency for the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

NYPD’s facial recognition software ID’ed subway rice cooker kook
[NYPOST] NYPD detectives identified the mystery man who sparked terror by leaving a pair of rice cookers in a subway long before their bomb-squad counterparts even realized the devices were harmless ‐ thanks to controversial face-scanning technology.

It was about 7:15 a.m. on Aug. 16 when police began receiving reports of the suspicious devices in the Fulton Street subway station.

Cops were unsure whether the devices were some slob’s garbage or part of a terror plot akin to that of 2016 Chelsea bomber Ahmad Rahami, and the station was cleared out as a precaution.

But within minutes, Det. Marcello Gianquinto ‐ one of 10 detectives in the NYPD’s Facial Identification Section ‐ had pulled still images of a suspect from subway security footage, color-corrected the snaps and was using a computer system to compare them to mug shots in the NYPD’s arrest database.

Somali Govt dispatches troops to Galmudug state capital
[RADIOSHABELLE] Reports from Galgaduud region say that two planes carrying government troops landed at Ugas Nur airport in Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug
...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth...
The troops were dispatched from Mogadishu and are expected to take over the security of the city after Somali government reached an agreement with Ahu Sunna this month.

Under the deal, a joint force comprising ASWJ fighters and government troops took control of security in Dusamareb and other areas that were previously under the control of the moderate Islamist group.

The deployment comes following a three-day meeting by the group’s religious leaders in the town, the group accused the federal government of attempting to use force in the region to get its way.

Airstrike by Haftar's Air Force kills three civilians

While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. It added that military stalemate of Haftar's forces in Tripoli and the loss of Gharyan affected his 'overseas-intended' image as a strongman.

The UNSMIL documented 37 attacks on health facilities since April, killing 11 - including 4 doctors - whom the UN said were killed by Haftar's forces on two field hospitals.

Rocket hits football stadium in Daquq, killing six
[Rudaw] Rockets fell on a football stadium in the Zain al-Abdeen village in the town of Daquq south of Kirkuk late Saturday night.

Six people were killed and four others were maimed by the rockets, according to Daquq Mayor Sheikh Lewis Findi.

"The rockets fell on a local football stadium, when the young men were playing," Findi told Rudaw on Sunday.

Most of the casualties were young men, and one was a police officer, according to Findi. There are no investigations ongoing, he said.

"Until now the Iraqi federal police have not started investigations nor started operations to arrest the perpetrators," said Findi.

Zain al-Abdeen is a majority Turkmen village, according to Findi.

In a Facebook post, Iraqi Turkmen politician Ershad Salihi said he believes that the attacks on Zain al-Abdeen had a "political" agenda, without specifying what that means.

It is still unknown if the Islamic State

) are behind the rocket attacks. Findi believes ISIS was the perpetrator.

"ISIS is responsible for those attacks on the town," he said, using the Arabic-language acronym for the group.

On its Telegram channels, ISIS claimed it carried out attacks on federal police in the Diyala province on Saturday.
Iraqi News adds:
“A bunch of Islamic State terrorists fired RPG rockets and medium-range weapons at a pitch in Daquq district, south of Kirkuk, leaving six people dead,” the Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a press statement Sunday.

“The mortar attack also left nine people wounded,” added the statement.

The Iraqi military announced on Saturday that two Islamic State terrorists were arrested in Kirkuk province.

“Acting on intelligence information, troops of the Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate caught two Islamic State terrorists in al-Qassem and June First districts in Kirkuk,” Iraqi TV channel Alsumaria TV quoted the directorate as saying in a press release.

“The pair were tasked with equipping hotbeds of the Islamic State terrorist group on the outskirts of Kirkuk,” the statement read.

Minawi holds military parade, says Sudan’s December Revolution was hijacked
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM)’s leader Minni Minnawi said the December revolution has been hijacked and described the agreement between the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) and the Transitional Military Council (TMC) as being based on the sharing of the constitutional portfolios and public service functions.

Last week, the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) held a military parade in an undisclosed location attended by Juma Mohammed Haqar, commander-in-chief of the SLA, on the 18th anniversary of the rebel group.

The commemoration included a review of armoured vehicles, armoured personnel carriers and weapons, according to a video released by the rebel group on Saturday.

Addressing the military parade by telephone, Minnawi criticized the agreement on the transitional authority, saying it was "fully a quotas agreement that would allocate more than 1,400 jobs in the constitutional positions, civil service, public sector companies that would be distributed between FFC and the TMC away from the Sudanese people and the competencies about which they speak."

"The December Revolution (...) has been hijacked in a way similar to the manner of the al-Bashir regime, which practised racial discrimination, committed genocide and caused the separation of South Sudan as a result of wars and hatred," he said.

In his recorded speech heard by the Sudan Tribune, Minnawi explained that August 17, 2019 (date of the formal signing of the constitutional document) went on and left behind a repetition of what happened on the Independence Day, where eight jobs had been allocated to South Sudan and zero position to Darfur out of 800 civil service jobs.

Minnawi and other groups of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front which are part of the FFC boycotted the signing ceremony of the constitutional document to express their rejection of the agreement saying it does not include a paragraph providing the primacy of the peace agreement over the transitional constitution.

Also, the gangs asked to allocate them some seats in the Sovereign Council and the transitional government.

For his part, Nur al-Dayem Taha, head of SLM Media Secretariat told Sudan Tribune that the huge military parade they organized on the occasion confirms the group’s military capacity.

"The celebration and the military parade held refute the allegations that the movement does not have an army and that there is no need for peace talks with us," Taha said.

Minawi pointed out that al-Bashir’s regime was not alone a symbol of suffering and displacement, but it is about a mentality and behaviour that remain after its ouster before to add that freedom will be achieved only through more struggle.

Biden struggles to hit it off with millennials
[THEHILL] Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'...
has a millennial problem.

The former vice president is holding onto his perch atop the polls, but strategists and political observers say he needs to do better with younger voters if he wants to win the Democratic nomination next year.

A Pew Research Center poll out this past week shows that while Biden is doing well with voters age 50 and up, he is struggling to win over adults under the age of 30.

The survey showed that 7 percent of young voters support him. In that same demographic, 24 percent of voters backed Sen. Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...

(D-Mass.).

Biden’s weak spot is in stark contrast to former President Obama’s popularity with young voters, many of whom gravitated toward his "hope and change" mantra.

Libya's Interior Minister denies possibility of Misrata-Haftar agreement

Bashagha told German News Agency that Misrata which provided lots of sacrifices for February revolution and war on ISIS

in Sirte has only the aim of a civilian state, a goal that won't be materialized with Haftar's agenda that aims for the family and dictatorship rule.

"Burkan al-Ghadab (Volcano of Rage) Operation forces are well prepared for foiling any attacks by Haftar's forces and for going further than just the defense against his forces' attacks. Our government won't exclude any party - religious or otherwise - as long as they commit themselves to the democratic political rules and remain away from using force to seize power." Bashagha remarked.

He added that talks about the Presidential Council's government being under the rule of a certain Islamist political group are just media fabrications as some media outlets have stretched the role of Moslem Brüderbund Group and made it a pretext for many failures on their part.

Bashagha indicated that his government respects all parties that believe in peaceful circulation of power, adding that Skhirat Agreement of 2015 that formed the Government of National Accord says that it should fight all groups listed internationally as terrorist, and the government fought them all in Sirte.

Media outlets loyal to Haftar said recently that Misrata leaderships agreed on a dialogue with Haftar and will be withdrawing their fighters from southern Tripoli frontlines and other areas, which was denied by officials from the city.

Bill Kristol Wants Rick Santorum To Challenge Trump: ‘He’s A Much Better Version Of President Trump’
[DAILYCALLER] Bill Kristol took a backhand to President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
, suggesting that former Republican Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum
...unsuccessful candidate for president and former U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania. He was a lawyer before becoming the Representative for suburban Pittsburgh in 1991. He lost his Senate seat in 2006 to Bob Casey, a Democrat machine politician and political dynast. Santorum is a social conservative who thinks the rest of the country is, too...
should primary him and calling the senator "a much better version of President Trump."

Kristol made the comments during a panel discussion on Sunday morning’s "State of the Union" on CNN with guest host Brianna Keilar.

Responding to the president’s claims that he would like to see Russia return to the G7 Summit ‐ making it once again the G8 ‐ members of the panel argued that the Kremlin had done little to reassure other nations that it would act in good faith.

Santorum, who has defended the president on occasion, was not a fan of his comments with regard to including Russia.

"It’s a bad call on the president’s part. Russia does not deserve to be in the G8," Santorum explained. "I like a lot of things the president is doing. I don’t like the way he deals with some of these dictators whether it’s North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
or Russia. I’m disappointed he’s making the call. I hope it’s revisited and he’s not included."

"Rick should challenge President Trump," Kristol suggested then. "He almost won in 2012. He’s a much better version of President Trump."

Santorum laughed it off, adding, "Bill’s trying to destroy my credibility right here."

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Video shows MCC inmate using illicit phone for Facebook Live broadcast
[NYPOST] An inmate awaiting trial on murder and conspiracy charges used a cellphone to broadcast a Facebook Live video from inside the same Manhattan lockup where Jeffery Epstein hanged himself, The Post has learned.
MCC videos? Who knew ?
The shocking breach of security at the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center occurred last month and is part of a large-scale investigation into the use of cellphones by prisoners there, law-enforcement sources said.

Two correction officers pleaded guilty last year to accepting bribes to smuggle cellphones and other contraband into the MCC, where two high-profile prisoners — former CIA computer engineer Joshua Schulte and ex-Westchester County cop Nicholas Tartaglione, a one-time Epstein cellmate — were recently accused of using or possessing cellphones.
Nick was just calling his dog. Go ahead and destroy the selector, recordings and transcripts.

“The MCC has more phones than a Best Buy,” one law-enforcement source said.

A 40-second video clip shows Michael Reid, a high-ranking member of the Brooklyn-based “Rockstarz” gang, talking into a phone while shooting a selfie live stream, sources said.

As many as 32 other Facebook users watched his Facebook Live broadcast, which lasted at least 19 minutes, according to information displayed on a computer screen from which it was recorded.

The video is grainy and poorly lit, but appears to show Reid, 26, sitting on the bottom of a bunk bed, underneath a light embedded in a cement ceiling.

Several people can be heard speaking, but the dialogue is unclear and the clip ends abruptly when a cellphone apparently starts ringing.

Reid is one of 10 reputed Rockstarz members who allegedly chased a rival gang-banger — Tyquan Eversly, 21, of the “Very Crispy Gangsters” — through the streets of East New York before one of them fatally shot Eversley when he got tangled in razor wire atop a chain-link fence on March 19.

Armed men kill civilian in eastern Baghdad
I’m not certain this is really a War on Terror killing, or just a return to Iraqi normalcy.
Baghdad (IraqiNews) A police source informed, on Sunday, that a civilian was killed by an armed attack, in western the capital, Baghdad.

In a press statement, the source said that unknown button men shot a civilian, while he was passing in al-Kamaliyah area, killing him immediately.

The source added, on condition of anonymity, that security forces arrived in the area of incident and transferred the body to the forensic medicine department, while started investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Two Hashd fighters killed in Anbar drone attack
[Rudaw] Two members of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) were killed in a drone attack in the Iraqi province of Anbar on Sunday, following a string of attacks against the group’s arms depots. One other was injured in the incident, according to a Sunday statement from the PMF, also known as Hashd al-Shaabi in Arabic.

"Two unidentified drones today targeted a fixed position of Brigade 45 of Hashd al-Shaabi in the Anbar Operations Sector (15 kilometers from Iraq-Syria border), martyring two fighters of Brigade 45, injuring another and burning two vehicles," Hashd al-Shaabi’s Brigade 45, stationed in Anbar, said in the statement.

The PMF published photos of the two burned vehicles, which included a truck and what appears to be a pickup, alongside the statement.

Two PMF vehicles were targeted and destroyed in the district of Qaim in Anbar province after 6 PM on Sunday evening, Qaim mayor Ahmed Dlemi confirmed to Rudaw.

The attack follows a host of mysterious blasts at arms depots of the Iran-backed group. On August 20, a kaboom engulfed an arms depot of the Iranian-backed PMF militia Kataib Hezbollah, "completely" destroying its weapons store at the depot. A week earlier, a massive blast rocked an arms depot at the al-Saqr military base belonging to a PMF militia in the Dora neighborhood of Baghdad, killing one person and injuring 13 more.

Initially, negligent weapons storage in scorching Iraqi summer temperatures were blamed for the earth-shattering kabooms.

However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
in a meeting earlier this month, Iraq’s National Security Council banned unauthorized flights over Iraq’s airspace, indicating that Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s had been to blame for the blasts.

Deputy head of the PMF Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis blamed Israel for the string of attacks on August 21, claiming that the US had brought four Israeli drones from Azerbaijan to use against the PMF.
Of course he did. No one else could possibly have it in for Iranian sock puppets.
"US are using the drones to target the PMF and Iraqi bases, rather than targeting ISIS
...embracing their inner Islamic Brute...
[Arabic acronym for Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
}," al-Muhandis said in a Facebook post.

In a later statement on Sunday night, PMF's Operations Authority blamed Israel for the drone attack. It also stated that just one of its fighters had been killed, while another was severely injured.

"The evil Israeli crows again targeted Hashd al-Shaabi within the series of Zionist attacks against Iraq, this time through drones, deep inside Iraqi territory in Anbar province [...] killing a Mujahid and injuring one more severely," the statement said.

"This assault will not dissuade the forces of Hashd al-Shaabi from undertaking their national role in combatting terror, defending Iraqi land, security, and dignity, and responding to the enemy and its supporters," the PMF vowed.

PMF units have various degrees of alignment with Iran. Some, such as al-Nujaba Movement and Kataib Hezbollah, are known to fight in Syria under Iranian leadership to prop up Syrian president Bashir al-Assad’s reign.
Iraqi News adds:
Anbar (IraqiNews.com) – An Iraqi paramilitary commander was killed Sunday when an unidentified drone targeted his vehicle on the Iraqi-Syrian border.

According to Iraq’s state-run news agency
...and if you can't trust the state-run news agency who can you believe?...
NINA, an unknown drone has targeted two vehicles belonging to the 45th brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces south of al Qa’im district on the country’s border with Syria, leaving a paramilitary commander dead.

The slain militiaman was identified as Abu Ali al-Dubi.
An Nahar points out:
Brigade 45 is one of several units made up of Kataib Hezbollah fighters, designated by the U.S. as a "foreign terrorist organization."

Three rockets fired from Gaza into Israel
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Three rockets were fired from Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
into southern Israel on Sunday, the Israeli army said.

"Three launches were identified from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory," it said in a statement. "Two of them were intercepted by the Iron Dome aerial defense system."

One projectile fell in a wasteland, starting a fire, according to the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council.

A concert organized as part of a music festival in the town of Sderot was interrupted by a siren, a spokesperson for the municipality said.

Since the start of August, an uptick in rocket fire and Paleostinian attempts to cross from Gaza into Israel have been met with Israeli strikes, threatening a fragile ceasefire between Israel and the coastal enclave’s Islamist rulers Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,.

With less than a month to go before Israeli elections, analysts say Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is keen to avoid a flare-up ‐ despite his rivals calling for tough action against Hamas.

The movement has not claimed the latest rocket fire or infiltration attempts, but speculation has grown that forces of Evil in the blockaded enclave are hoping to pressure him into further concessions under a truce deal.

From 2007 to 2010, he worked at McKinsey and Company, a consulting firm. From 2009 to 2017 Buttigieg served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant and deploying to Afghanistan in 2014. Buttigieg was first elected mayor of South Bend in 2011 and was reelected in 2015. During his second term, he announced he was gay. Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He is running for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country...
told NBC's "Meet The Press" on Sunday that defeating President Trump in 2020 "is not enough."

"The president is certainly a problem, a big one, but he’s not the only problem. Ask yourself how a guy like this ever got within cheating distance of the Oval Office in the first place. I would argue that doesn't happen unless the country is already in a kind of crisis," Buttigieg said.

"For pretty much as long as I've been alive, even when the economy has been growing, and quickly, most Americans haven’t been getting ahead, one of many reasons why in places like the industrial midwest where I live, back to normal is not going to be a good enough message because normal was not good enough," he said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
No permanent Turkish army posts will be in buffer zone: SDF spokesperson
[Rudaw] A spokesperson for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied claims that Ottoman Turkish troops will be allowed permanent posts in the proposed northern Syria buffer zone, adding that there will also be no Syrian proxies of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
or observation points in the area.

Mustafa Bali told Rojava Information Center, a monitor with ties to the SDF, that Ottoman Turkish forces will enter the zone - but once they "complete the patrol, [they] will return to their country."

Patrols will be conducted "perhaps once every fortnight, or once a month" over the duration of the buffer zone agreement, he added.

Bali’s statement follows a claim by two unnamed Ottoman Turkish officials - not wanting to be identified for fear of repercussions - who told Bloomberg on Sunday that the US has agreed to the deployment of two Ottoman Turkish soldiers for every American soldier.

Turkey has 12 observation points in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib, following an agreement with Russia - the main backer of the Syrian regime.

However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
Bali said the construction of observation points would not take place on SDF-controlled territory.

"Observation points will be built, but on Ottoman Turkish soil. A system like they have in Idlib is unacceptable," he said.

US and Ottoman Turkish military officials agreed on the establishment of a safe zone in northern Syria, to be developed into a "peace corridor" for the return of 3.6 million Syrian refugees in Turkey, on August 7.

They also agreed to establish a joint operation center in the province of Sanliurfa, on the Ottoman Turkish border with Syria, which began operating at "full capacity" on Saturday, according to Ottoman Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, reported the state-owned Anadolu Agency. The first helicopter carrying Ottoman Turkish and US commanders flew over the East of Euphrates on Saturday.

"In addition, the destruction of terrorist emplacements and fortifications began," Akar added.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a tweet a day earlier that the SDF "destroyed military fortifications" on Thursday "to support implementation of the security mechanism framework."

The depth and length of the buffer zone was a point of contention between the US, Turkey and the SDF. Turkey demanded a 30-40 kilometre-deep safe zone while both the US and the SDF proposed one of up to 14 kilometers.

However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
Mazloum Abdi, commander of the SDF, said on August 16 that they had later demanded a longer and deeper safe zone.

"If there is an agreement, it should cover all areas of northeast Syria," Abdi said in an interview with the SDF-affiliated Hawar News.

The two unnamed officials, who spoke to Bloomberg said that the US and Turkey have agreed on a 125km long, 15 km deep zone in Serekaniye [Ain al-Issa] and Tel-Abyad ‐ two mostly Arab regions under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (NES), otherwise known as Rojava.

They also claimed that Turkey has already deployed 10 brigades to its borders with the SDF, in the first phase of a campaign to drive out all Kurdish fighters in Syria.

Four ISIS militants killed on Iraqi anti-ISIS operation's fourth phase
[Rudaw] Iraqi security forces announced the deaths of four Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. (ISIS

) fighters and the arrests of four others during the first day of the "Will of Victory" operation’s fourth phase in Iraq’s western deserts.

The Iraqi Security Media Cell, a communications organization in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, published the results of yesterday’s actions on Facebook today. Yesterday was the first day of the ongoing anti-ISIS operation’s fourth phase, and is being carried out in the Anbar province.

Iraqi army units destroyed 15 ISIS tunnels on all the four frontlines on the first day of the operation, and also defused eight bombs, according to the Security Media Cell.

US-led coalition warplanes conducted one Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
against an ISIS tunnel, which resulted in the deaths of two bad boys, also according to the Security Media Cell.

The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), also known as Hashd al-Shaabi, killed two ISIS holy warriors and arrested four others in the Wadi al-Madsis valley frontline in the Anbar desert. One bad boy in the Iran-backed militia was also maimed during the festivities with the ISIS bad boys, according to the cell’s post.

Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi, who is commander in chief of Iraq’s armed forces, arrived at the military’s Anbar Operation Command headquarters on Sunday to supervise and discuss the latest updates about the fourth phase of Will of Victory operation, his office said on Twitter.

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced the start of the fourth phase of its "Will of Victory" operation to hunt down the ISIS sleeper cells in the deserts of Anbar province on Saturday.

"The aim of the operation is to clean the desert of Anbar from Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cells," the Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement on Saturday.

The operation is a collaboration between various domestic forces, including the Anbar Operations Command, al-Jazira Operation Command, Hashd al-Ashairi paramilitias, federal police, the army, the PMF, Border Guard Command and the air force, as well as the US-led international coalition, according to the statement.

Iraqi security forces aim to clear a nearly 43,000 kilometer area in the operation.

The Iraqi government announced the territorial defeat of ISIS in December 2017. However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
remnants of the group have returned to earlier insurgency tactics of ambushing security forces, kidnapping, executing suspected informants, and extorting money from vulnerable, rural populations.

ISIS is particularly active near the Syrian border, in the Nineveh province, and in disputed territories between Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

A report from the US Department of Defense released in August said there are 14,000 to 18,000 ISIS fighters in Iraq and Syria.

[DAWN] Suspected gunnies attacked a police check-post in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan

Islamic scholar Ramadan targeted by new rape complaint
[PULSE.NG] Tariq Ramadan, a leading Islamic scholar charged in La Belle France with raping two women, has also been accused of taking part in the gang rape of a journalist, French judicial sources said Sunday.

The sources confirmed reports on Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
1 radio and in Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper that a woman in her 50s had accused Ramadan, 56, of raping her along with a member of his staff when she went to interview the academic at a hotel in Lyon in May 2014.

The woman, who filed a criminal complaint in May 2019, also accused Ramadan of issuing "threats or acts of intimidation" aimed at dissuading her from reporting the alleged attack to the police, the judicial sources added.

Ramadan, a married father of four whose grandfather founded Egypt's Moslem Brüderbund, was a professor at Oxford University until he was forced to take leave when rape allegations surfaced at the height of the "Me Too" movement in late 2017.

He has denied charges he raped a disabled woman in 2009 and a feminist activist in 2012.

He was taken into custody in February 2018 and held for nine months before being granted bail.

Authorities in Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
are also investigating him after receiving a rape complaint in that country.

His lawyer, Emmanuel Marsigny, refused to comment Sunday on the latest allegations against him in La Belle France.

The woman behind the latest complaint told police that Ramadan and a male assistant repeatedly raped her in Ramadan's room at the Sofitel hotel in Lyon.

She described the alleged attack as being of "untold violence" and claimed that when she threatened to report them to the police Ramadan replied: "You don't know how powerful I am."

Separatist leader urges resistance to India's Kashmir move
[Al Jazeera] Syed Ali Shah Geelani, a prominent separatist leader in Indian-administered Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
, has called on residents of the region to peacefully resist Indian rule in the disputed territory.

"It is our heartfelt appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir that we must continue to resist at this critical juncture ... We all can, and must, act according to our abilities; through action or word. People should organise peaceful protests and demonstrations in their areas of residence," the 89-year-old leader said in a statement.

Geelani, who has been held at his home since India's decision to revoke Kashmir's special status, also urged Pakistain to act decisively.

Bangladesh
HC: Omit 'Kumari' from marriage registration form
[Dhaka Tribune] The High Court Division has directed the government to omit the word "Kumari" (virgin) from the Moslem marriage registration form (Nikahnama) before the name of the bride, and use the word "unmarried" instead.
Languages evolve. In the old days virgin and maiden (an unmarried female) were interchangeable. When approaching marriage, being a maiden, that is unmarried, is critically important to the legality of the thing. But now even Bangladesh is getting overwrought about medical definitions for words also used non-technically.
A High Court bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Khizir Ahmed Choudhury gave the direction following a writ petition filed jointly by Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (Blast), Naripokkho, and Bangladesh Mohila Gay Pareehad.

In the marriage registration form under the Moslem Marriages and Divorces (Registration) Act 1974, Clause 5 requires the bride to make a statement regarding her marital status and sexual history, specifically stating whether she is a virgin or widowed or divorced.

The High Court also asked the government to include Clause 4 (A) in the form, which will stipulate the marital status of a groom, stating "married, widower or divorcee."

East Texas Man Arrested for Allegedly Licking Ice Cream in Walmart Store
[BREITBART] A Facebook prank landed an East Texas man in county jail after he allegedly opened a gallon of Blue Bell ice cream, licked it, and returned it to the shelf. While he accomplished his goal of a viral video, the prank has cost him criminal charges and his job.

A Facebook video earlier this week shows a man opening a gallon of Blue Bell ice cream, licking the ice cream, closing it up, and placing it back on the shelf. Police began investigating and identified the Walmart store in Port Arthur, Texas, as the incident location. Surveillance video showed the man eventually took the ice cream back out of the freezer and paid for it, the News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported.

Despite this, Jefferson County District Attorney Bob Wortham filed misdemeanor criminal mischief charges after the Walmart store was forced to re-stock their ice cream shelves in case of other contamination. Police identified the suspect as 24-year-old D’Adrien Anderson, a Port Arthur resident, and place him in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility. He eventually posted a bond of $1,000 and was released.

#2  In all seriousness, halfwits like this sad sack used to be gainfully employed in this country as menial laborers - janitors, landscapers, dishwashers, garbagemen, unskilled light-assembly factory hands, etc. Not a lot of money, not easy work, to be sure, but WORK, and with it the certainty of getting one's arse out of bed each day, making oneself look respectable, and showing up and fulfilling a needed role in society.

In short, some shot at dignity.

And then our elites decided to swamp the low end of the labor market with 20 million imported peasants from Mexico and Central America.

What do you think happened to 20 million D'Adriens - and D'Waynes and Bubbas and Cletuses across this country?

Shame on those fools.
Shame on the virtue-signaling idiots in both parties who have foisted this insane and self-destructive policy on this nation and its working class.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Hasbro Toy Company Purchases Death Row Records
.......
[XXLMag] Death Row Records has changed ownership once again. Now, the infamous record label's catalog has been purchased by popular toy company Hasbro.

The acquisition was announced on Thursday (Aug. 22), reveals a Rolling Stone report published on Friday (Aug. 23). Hasbro, home to famous kids toys like Mr. Potato Head, Power Rangers, My Little Pony, G.I. Joe, Transformers, the board game Monopoly and many more, purchased Entertainment One, a multimedia company which previously owned the rights to the label that Suge Knight built that helped push the careers of world famous artists like 2Pac, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

After falling from grace after years of dominance, Death Row was taken over by a judge after being declared bankrupt in 2006. In 2009, it was auctioned off for $18 million to Canadian company WIDEawake Entertainment Group. eOne bought the label's catalog in 2013 for $280 million.

Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner commented on the purchase of eOne stating, “The acquisition of eOne adds beloved story-led global family brands that deliver strong operating returns to Hasbro’s portfolio and provides a pipeline of new brand creation driven by family-oriented storytelling.”

Though Death Row hasn't operated in years, Suge's son is trying to carry on the legacy while his father sits in prison with the New Death Row. Suge Jr. has even made claims that new Tupac music will be released under the outfit.

#1  Suge Knight will be in the pen for a long time. He has been shot so many times (6 times during one of many instances) prison will keep him alive longer.

Co-Founder Michael Harris supposedly got out of prison this month.

Death Row artist 2Pac (shot in the groin once so followers started calling him 1Pac) eventially got wasted.

How all of this ties in to "family values", I have NO idea! eOne paid $248 Miĺlion for Death Row and Has"bro" just paid eOne $4 Billion. Death Row has been out of business for YEARS.

Al-Bashir’s party voices its support to Sudan’s prime minister
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The National Congress Party (NCP) of ousted President Omer al-Bashir announced its support for the newly appointed Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok who will lead Sudan’s transitional government.

An NCP leading figure who asked not to be named told the Turkish Anadolu Agency on Friday that "Hamdok had been contacted by senior leaders of the party," without disclosing the names of those leaders.

"The NCP leaders expressed their welcome Hamdok for taking office and confirmed their support for his government in the interest of stability and development of the country during the transitional period," the NCP official added.

Hamdok who was sworn-in on Wednesday 21 August has to form his 20-minister government before 28 August.

Some newspapers known for their links with the former regime reported that Ibrahim Ghandour, a former foreign minister and deputy NCP chairman was appointed as an interim leader of the Islamist party.

The military council that ruled the country for 4 months didn’t dissolve the party of ban its activities but confiscated its funds and assets pointing it belongs to the Sudanese people.

Sudan triggers state of emergency in east over tribal clashes
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Sudan activated a state of emergency Sunday in an eastern state and ordered a probe into deadly tribal violence that has rocked the region for days, authorities said.

Clashes have raged since Wednesday between the tribes of Bani Amer and Nuba in Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea state.

Sudanese police said that at least 16 people had been killed and forces had been dispatched to contain the fighting.

It was not clear what triggered the festivities.

"The sovereign council decided to relieve the governor of the Red Sea and the head of its security apparatus (from their duties)," the country’s transitional ruling body said in a statement.

It also "ordered the activation of a state of emergency (in the Red Sea state) and the formation of an investigating committee."

It said authorities had "detected for the first time the use of firearms in the fighting, which reveals the presence of internal and external interferences to fuel the conflict."

Studies at Tobruk University to resume after being closed by an armed tribal group
[Libya Observer] The head of the steering council of the Municipality of Tobruk, Faraj Boualkhatabi confirmed that studies at Tobruk University will resume next Tuesday, after a suspension of about 3 months.

"Persistent efforts were made by the steering council head and the elders of the city to reopen the university," the city's steering council said on Facebook.

An armed tribal group closed by force the HQ and faculties of the university on May 25, in objection of appointing a new dean from another tribe.
