The tribunal asked home ministry secretary and Inspector General of Police [IGP] to arrest the absconder, if necessary with the help of INTERPOL, to execute the sentence.

However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...

In November last year, prosecution submitted charge sheet against two razakars‐ Solaiman Mollah alias Soleman Moulvi and Idris Ali Sardar alias Gazi Idris but Solaiman in jug died under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

During the trial procedure, the tribunal recorded depositions of 13 prosecution witnesses.

The war crimes case was filed against them in Shariatpur in 2010.

Involved with Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
, Idris hails from west Kashabhog village under Chitalia union of Palang upazila in Shariatpur while Solaiman from the same union’s Kashipur village. The duo collaborated with the Pak occupation forces during war at different areas of Shariatpur and Madaripur.

Solaiman was a Jamaat leader in 1970 and led the local razakar force and Peace Committee while Idris, a local leader of Jamaat’s then student wing Islami Chhatra Sangha, joined him at the force.

Charges and sentences

The first charge that earned Idris death was brought for genocide, murder, plundering and arson committed on May 22 in 1971 in the locality of Palong Police Station in Shariatpur.

In that afternoon around 150 Mighty Pak Army men, along with Idris, Solaiman and their razakar cohorts were on their way to village Kashabhog through Angaria bazaar launch ghat. There, being instigated by the duo, army shot a farmer Abdus Samad Sikder who along with his son Ismail Hossain Sikder was chasing cow towards their home.

Injured Samad could run till his home to die there. The group followed him to attack his house and looted it.

The gang then continued marching towards east and one the way rubbed out one ironsmith Shamvu Nath Karmakar working in his shop. Therefore, they attacked Hindu populated village Madhyapara, plundering houses and setting them on fire as well as, at the same time, killing more than 200 Hindu people by firing shots indiscriminately. They came back to Madaripur army camp after the rampage.

The incidents of genocide, murder, rape, persecution, abduction, confinement, torture, plundering and arson described in the second charge took place between July 23 and 26, 1971, in the localities of Palong and the then Madaripur Sadar Police Stations. These too earned the razakar death.

The charge says, on May 23 morning about a hundred Mighty Pak Army men accompanied by Solaiman Mollah, Idris and some other Razakars captured Abul Kalam Hawlader from his shop at launch ghat near Angaria bazaar; they tortured him and forced him to go with them carrying an ammunitions bag.

Thereafter, they attacked a Hindu populated village Malopara [fishermen village] under Palong Police Station, plundering houses and then setting them on fire, besides indiscriminately killing 15/20 innocent men and 14/15 women after gathering them in front of the house of Jogomaya and also.

The attackers were divided into two groups; one group remained at village Malopara to guard and torture the confined men and women. The other group attacked village Rudrakar; confined and tortured Jalilur Rahman and forced him to go with them to the house of former Zaminder Promod Chakraborty; and tried to vandalize a Hindu temple by firing shots that killed the ailing priest Chandra Mohan Chakraborty. That group then came back to village Malopara.

Thereafter, they detained 30/35 men and women, taking them to Mighty Pak Army camp at AR Howlader Jute Mills, Madaripur and confined them there.

They raped the women of different ages for three days in turn.

The third charge that earned him life in prison was for torturing and killing, in mid June of 1971, Lalit Mohan Kundu and Shuresh Goon ‐ by stabbing with bayonet ‐ who looked after the house of an Awami League leader, situated at the then Madaripur Sub- Divisional town; now Deputy Commissioner’s Official Bungalow in Shariatpur district.

Fourth count says the duo and Mighty Pak Army committed widespread systematic killings and destruction of Hindu religious people in the localities of Palong Police Station of the then Madaripur Sub-Division which forced Hindu people to leave the country facing ineffable harassment.

Meanwhile our Shariatpur correspondent reports, affected families and local freedom fighters including plaintiff of the case Abdus Salam Talukder yesterday expressed satisfaction and rejoiced over the death sentence of the razakar.

Freedom fighter and General Secretary of Shariatpur Press Club Talukder said: "Most probably Idris Ali is now living abroad. The sentence has to be executed after finding him out and bringing back home. Only then members of the affected families will be satisfied."

Nobody was found at the home of Idris Ali at Kashabhog village under Angaria union of the district, after the verdict was delivered.
