‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' host Robin Leach passes away
[Daily Caller] "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" TV host Robin Leach passed away Thursday night in a Las Vegas hospital, just days before his birthday. He was 76.

"Despite the past 10 months, what a beautiful life he had. Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and friend Robin Leach passed away peacefully last night at 1:50 a.m.," a statement from Leach’s family to the Las Vegas Review-Journal read Friday.

"Everyone’s support and love over the past, almost one year, has been incredible and we are so grateful," it added. "Memorial arrangements to follow. With love, Steven, Gregg and Rick Leach."

Leach had been hospitalized since he suffered a stroke back in November during a trip to Cabo San Lucas.

The British-born host/journalist is probably best known as the man who interviewed celebrities from 1984‐1995 on his popular TV show, signing off every episode with his legendary catchphrase, "Champagne wishes and caviar dreams."

In the late 90s, he moved to Las Vegas, where he covered celebrity events for various outlets.

"I wanted no other job than to work in newspapers," Leach told The Sun in 2011. "I was fascinated by the process of collecting information, talking to people and having the story appear in a paper that would be delivered in your letterbox."

Shortly after news broke of his death, celebrities like William Shatner and Vince Neil reacted on social media to the loss "of an amazing person."

Michael Hayden Warns: Impeachment Would Be Viewed as ‘Soft Coup'
[Breitbart] Michael Hayden, the former director of the National Security Agency (NSA), warned Thursday that impeaching President Donald Trump would have unintended consequences and could further delegitimize the intelligence community.

Hayden, a frequent critic of President Trump, told Hill.TV’s Krystal Ball and Buck Sexton that he believes "impeachment would be a bad idea."
Translation: Let's keep the punching bag we've got. Mike Pence would be nearly impossible to challenge.
"If President Trump is somehow forced to leave office before the end of his first term, one-third of America will believe it was a soft coup conducted by people, well frankly like everybody here at the table would be their view," Hayden said. "I think the only way we move beyond this in any way that’s healthy for our democracy is we vote," the Obama-era intelligence official added.

Hayden is among a handful of former Deep State officials under consideration for having their security clearance revoked amid concerns of profiteering from access to sensitive government intelligence. Last week, the former NSA chief, along with other veteran intelligence officials, issued a statement condemning President Trump for revoking the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan.

#3  Well there is at least one 'odd man out' amongs those within the so-called intelligence community. That would be former NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers. In all of this mud slinging, community blocking and tackling, we've heard nothing from Admiral Rogers.

You may recall it was Admiral Rogers who paid that unannounced solo call to Trump Towers which led (the very next day) to the Trump campaign team moving to an alternate location.

To hell with these other 'community' Klingon, booklicking cynchopahts, I'd like very much to hear more from the Admiral Rogers.

Sen. John McCain to discontinue brain cancer treatment, family says
Sen. John McCain, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer last year, has decided to discontinue treatment, his family said in a statement Friday.

Last summer McCain said he had been diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma, "and the prognosis was serious," his family said in a statement.

"In the year since, John has surpassed expectations for his survival. But the progress of disease and the inexorable advance of age render their verdict," the McCain family said. "With his usual strength of will, he has now chosen to discontinue medical treatment. Our family is immensely grateful for the support and kindness of all his caregivers over the last year, and for the continuing outpouring of concern and affection from John’s many friends and associates, and the many thousands of people who are keeping him in their prayers. God bless and thank you all."

McCain's wife, Cindy, and daughter, Meghan, thanked the teams who took care of him and members of the public who have supported their family.

Congressional leaders, members of Congress and lawmakers who worked closely with McCain also posted messages of support on social media.
I expect Nancy will follow not far behind to keep him company, if her brain isn't already there.

San Francisco "Poop Patrollers" Make $185,000
[Zero Hedge] We wish we could say this was a satire piece, but a new story in the San Francisco Chronicle reveals just how lucrative collecting shit actually is.

It's but the latest in a string of shocking revelations to hit headlines throughout the summer exposing how deep San Francisco's crisis of vast amounts of vagrant-generated feces covering its public streets actually runs (no pun intended).

We detailed last week how city authorities have finally decided to do something after thousands of feces complaints (during only one week in July, over 16,000 were recorded), the cancellation of a major medical convention and an outraged new Mayor, London Breed, who was absolutely shocked after walking through her city: they established a professional "poop patrol".

As described when the city initially unveiled the plan, the patrol will consist of a team of five staffers and a supervisor donning protective gear and patrolling the alleys around Polk Street and other "brown zones" in search of everything from hepatitis-laden Hershey squirts to worm-infested-logs. At the Poop Patrol's disposal will be a special vehicle equipped with a steam cleaner and disinfectant.

The teams will begin their shifts in the afternoon, spotting and cleaning piles of feces before the city receives complaints in order "to be proactive" in the words of the Public Works director Mohammed Nuru, co-creator of the poop patrol initiative.

While at first glance it doesn't sound like the type of job people will be knocking down human resources doors to apply for, the SF Chronicle has revealed just how much each member of this apparently elite "poop patrol" team will cost the city: $184,678 in salary and benefits.

Afghanistan
Inside the U.S. Fight to Save Ghazni From the Taliban
The author was embedded with the Detachment.
[TIME] An ominous orange glow lit up the sky for miles around. It was after midnight on Aug. 11, and the city of Ghazni, less than 100 miles from Kabul, was on fire. Approaching the outskirts of town in a convoy of heavily armored 22-ton vehicles, the team of Green Berets from Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) Team 1333 took it as the first sign that it wasn’t going to be an easy night.

The group was one of three U.S. Army Special Forces‐led units converging on Ghazni to save it from the Taliban, which had laid siege to the city over the previous 24 hours in a surprise attack. And the closer the Green Berets got, the worse it looked. Approaching the city, ODA 1333 had to muscle their massive vehicles around bomb craters and abandoned big-rig trucks that the Islamist insurgents had set up as roadblocks.

The dismal obstacle course wasn’t just proof that the insurgents had the upper hand over the 1,500 Afghan police and soldiers based in the city, even though those forces were flush with sophisticated American-supplied weaponry. The team soon discovered the wreckage-strewn approach to the city had become a shooting gallery for hidden Taliban.

Rocket-propelled grenades and machine-gun fire came screaming in from a tree line to the east‐small bursts at first, then all at once. Streaks of heavy fire glowed green in the commandos’ night-vision goggles as two- and three-man Taliban teams shot rockets at the Special Forces before vanishing into nearby scrubland. The U.S. forces returned fire with rapid bursts from the .50-caliber machine guns perched atop the vehicles. At one point, one of the men shouted, "Where the f-ck are [the airstrikes]?" Almost on cue, a lumbering AC-130 gun ship circling above began showering 105-mm cannon fire on Taliban positions below. Apache attack helicopters, A-10 attack planes, F-16 fighter jets and MQ-9 Reaper drones also delivered airstrikes. The road into the city "was just a sh-t show," one U.S. soldier tells TIME.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
More 'Connecting the Dots' and Social Network Analysis
Yes, a questionable source, but worth the read.
[Reddit] I am passing this on from someone who's connecting some dots with input from sources he cannot reveal.

Here's what it looks like when all the pieces are sewn together

It smells like conspiracy and treason. Everyone needs to read this. Slowly, and patiently, because it’s very important......

From 2001 to 2005 there was an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

A Grand Jury had been impanelled.

Governments from around the world had donated to the "Charity".

Yet, from 2001 to 2003 none of those "Donations" to the Clinton Foundation were declared. Now you would think that an honest investigator would be able to figure this out.

Look who took over this investigation in 2005: None other than James Comey; Coincidence? Guess who was transferred into the Internal Revenue Service to run the Tax Exemption Branch of the IRS? None other than, Lois "Be on The Look Out" (BOLO) Lerner. Isn’t that interesting?

But this is all just a series of strange coincidences, right?

Guess who ran the Tax Division inside the Department of Injustice from 2001 to 2005?

No other than the Assistant Attorney General of the United States,

Rod Rosenstein.

Guess who was the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during this time frame?

Another coincidence (just an anomaly in statistics and chances), but it was Robert Mueller.

What do all four casting characters have in common?

They all were briefed and/or were front-line investigators into the Clinton Foundation Investigation.

Another coincidence, right?

Fast forward to 2009....

James Comey leaves the Justice Department to go and cash-in at Lockheed Martin.

Hillary Clinton is running the State Department, official government business, on her own personal email server.

The Uranium One "issue" comes to the attention of the Hillary.

Like all good public servants do, supposedly looking out for America’s best interest, she decides to support the decision and approve the sale of 20% of US Uranium to no other than, the Russians.

Now you would think that this is a fairly straight up deal, except it wasn’t, America got absolutely nothing out of it.

However, prior to the sales approval, no other than Bill Clinton goes to Moscow, gets paid 500K for a one hour speech; then meets with Vladimir Putin at his home for a few hours.

Ok, no big deal right? Well, not so fast, the FBI had a mole inside the money laundering and bribery scheme.

Robert Mueller was the FBI Director during this time frame? Yep, He even delivered a Uranium Sample to Moscow in 2009.

Who was handling that case within the Justice Department out of the US Attorney’s Office in Maryland?

None other than, Rod Rosenstein. And what happened to the informant?

The Department of Justice placed a GAG order on him and threatened to lock him up if he spoke out about it.

How does 20% of the most strategic asset of the United States of America end up in Russian hands when the FBI has an informant, a mole providing inside information to the FBI on the criminal enterprise?

Very soon after; the sale was approved!~145 million dollars in "donations" made their way into the Clinton Foundation from entities directly connected to the Uranium One deal.

Guess who was still at the Internal Revenue Service working the Charitable Division? None other than, - Lois Lerner.

Ok, that’s all just another series of coincidences, nothing to see here, right?

Let’s fast forward to 2015.

Due to a series of tragic events in Benghazi and after the 9 "investigations" the House, Senate and at State Department, Trey Gowdy who was running the 10th investigation as Chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi discovers that the Hillary ran the State Department on an unclassified, unauthorized, outlaw personal email server. He also discovered that none of those emails had been turned over when she departed her "Public Service" as Secretary of State which was required by law. He also discovered that there was Top Secret information contained within her personally archived email.

Sparing you the State Departments cover up, the nostrums they floated, the delay tactics that were employed and the outright lies that were spewed forth from the necks of the Kerry State Department, we shall leave it with this...... they did everything humanly possible to cover for Hillary. .

Now this is amazing, guess who became FBI Director in 2013? None other than James Comey; who secured 17 no bid contracts for his employer (Lockheed Martin) with the State Department and was rewarded with a six million dollar thank you present when he departed his employer? Amazing how all those no-bids just went right through at State, huh?

Now he is the FBI Director in charge of the "Clinton Email Investigation" after of course his FBI Investigates the Lois Lerner "Matter" at the Internal Revenue Service and he exonerates her. Nope.... couldn’t find any crimes there.

In April 2016, James Comey drafts an exoneration letter of Hillary Rodham Clinton, meanwhile the DOJ is handing out immunity deals like candy. They didn’t even convene a Grand Jury!

Like a lightning bolt of statistical impossibility, like a miracle from God himself, like the true "Gangsta" Comey is, James steps out into the cameras of an awaiting press conference on July the 8th of 2016, and exonerates the Hillary from any wrongdoing.

Do you see the pattern?

It goes on and on, Rosenstein becomes Asst. Attorney General,Comey gets fired based upon a letter by Rosenstein, Comey leaks government information to the press, Mueller is assigned to the Russian Investigation sham by Rosenstein to provide cover for decades of malfeasance within the FBI and DOJ and the story continues.

FISA Abuse, political espionage..... pick a crime, any crime, chances are...... this group and a few others did it:

All the same players.

All compromised and conflicted.

All working fervently to NOT go to jail themselves

All connected in one way or another to the Clinton's.

They are like battery acid; they corrode and corrupt everything they touch. How many lives have these two destroyed?

As of this writing, the Clinton Foundation, in its 20+ years of operation of being the largest International Charity Fraud in the history of mankind, has never been audited by the Internal Revenue Service.

Let us not forget that Comey's brother works for DLA Piper, the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation's taxes.

The person that is the common denominator to all the crimes above and still doing her evil escape legal maneuvers at the top of the 3 Letter USA Agencies?

Yep, that would be Hillary R. Clinton.

Now who is LISA BARSOOMIAN? Let’s learn a little about Mrs. Lisa H. Barsoomian’s background.

Lisa H. Barsoomian, an Attorney that graduated from Georgetown Law, is a protégé of James Comey and Robert Mueller.

Barsoomian, with her boss R. Craig Lawrence, represented Bill Clinton in 1998.

Lawrence also represented:

Robert Mueller three times;

James Comey five times;

Barack Obama 45 times;

Kathleen Sebelius 56 times;

Bill Clinton 40 times; and

Hillary Clinton 17 times.

Between 1998 and 2017, Barsoomian herself represented the FBI at least five times.

You may be saying to yourself, OK, who cares? Who cares about the work history of this Barsoomian woman?

Apparently, someone does, because someone out there cares so much that they’ve "purged" all Barsoomian court documents for her Clinton representation in Hamburg vs. Clinton in 1998 and its appeal in 1999 from the DC District and Appeals Court dockets (?). Someone out there cares so much that even the internet has been "purged" of all information pertaining to Barsoomian.

Historically, this indicates that the individual is a protected CIA operative. Additionally, Lisa Barsoomian has specialized in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the intelligence community. Although Barsoomian has been involved in hundreds of cases representing the DC Office of the US Attorney, her email address is Lisa Barsoomian at NIH.gov. The NIH stands for National Institutes of Health. This is a tactic routinely used by the CIA to protect an operative by using another government organization to shield their activities.

It’s a cover, so big deal right? What does one more attorney with ties to the US intelligence community really matter?

It deals with Trump and his recent tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, the border wall, DACA, everything coming out of California, the Uni-party unrelenting opposition to President Trump, the Clapper leaks, the Comey leaks, Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusal and subsequent 14 month nap with occasional forays into the marijuana legalization mix .... and last but not least Mueller’s never-ending investigation into collusion between the Trump team and-the Russians.

Why does Barsoomian, CIA operative, merit any mention?

BECAUSE....

She is Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s WIFE!

Connecting the Dots Behind the Curtain
From a comment today from own Dino Protector of the Nebraskans. Worthy of a posting.
[Armstrong Economics] There is an interesting piece running around the internet that someone has put together. Other than Lisa H. Barsoomian, the connections are true. Indeed, the characters in the play are all incredibly connected and it certainly appears that there is a deep and dark conspiracy against Trump. But this is not against Trump simply because they do not like him personally. This is about removing an outsider from Washington. These are just the tip of the iceberg.

The New Yorker has revealed part of the conspiracy has been highlighted by a memo which has surfaced from Obama aid who set up a war room to undermine Trump and his foreign policy. They are managing much of the media. A new report from The New Yorker reveals some details of a "conspiracy memo" that has been circulating behind the curtain for the past year. What seems to be operating is a massive campaign to actually disrupt the Trump Administration and prevent it from actually managing anything. This is far worse than pretend Russian hacking. This is a real covert ops to prevent the opposition from doing anything and this undermine the government ‐ not just Trump. This is very strange and may be one reason in the years ahead we face a civil war.

Indeed, there is a lot more going on behind the curtain than people realize. Don’t forget, it was Lois Lerner who abused the IRS to target conservative groups who wanted to drain the swamp before Trump. Lerner argued that her testimony should be sealed and that she feared for her life if everyone she targeted using the IRS found out. She was given full paid leave from the IRS on May 23, 2013. In May 2014, Lerner was declared in contempt of Congress in connection with the invocation of her Fifth Amendment not to testify on the matter before a congressional committee. Major prison strike spreads across US and Canada as inmates refuse food
[Guardian] A prison strike has begun to take hold in custodial institutions across North America, with reports of sporadic protest action from California and Washington state to the eastern seaboard as far south as Florida and up to Nova Scotia in Canada.

Details remain sketchy as information dribbles out through the porous walls of the country’s penitentiaries. Prison reform advocacy groups liaising with strike organisers said Wednesday that protests had been confirmed in three states, with further unconfirmed reports emerging from Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.

The confirmed cases related to a hunger strike in Folsom state prison in California. A 26-year-old inmate called Heriberto Garcia managed to dispatch to the outside world a smartphone recording of himself refusing food. The video was then posted on Twitter.

NASA Chief Wants to Send Humans 'to the Moon' ‐ To Stay
[Space.com] HOUSTON ‐ Jim Bridenstine wants to make sure that there is never another day when humans are not in space.

"In fact," the NASA administrator said, "we want lots of humans in space."

Bridenstine, who became the space agency's chief in April, recently sat down with Space.com and other reporters during a visit to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, during which he shared what he saw as his priority for NASA going forward. [These 9 Astronauts Will Fly the 1st Flights on SpaceX and Boeing Spaceships]

"When you look back at history, look back at the end of the Apollo program, 1972 when we didn't go back to the moon... you look back and there was a period of time there after Apollo and before the space shuttles when we had a gap of human spaceflight capability," Bridenstine said. "And then you go forward and look at the retirement of the space shuttles in 2011, and now we're getting to the point where we're ready to fly commercial crew. We've got a gap of about eight years in our ability to fly crew into space.

"When we think about the [end of the] International Space Station, we want to make sure that a gap doesn't materialize," he said. "I believe it is important to do everything in our power to prevent another gap from occurring and that is why it is important to start this conversation now."

DOJ Declines to Prosecute FBI Agent IG Says Received Money from Former Source, Protected Source's Illegal Business, Provided False Info to Police, and Misused FBI Assets for Personal Gain
[CNS News] The Department of Justice has declined to prosecute an FBI special agent whom the department’s inspector general determined had received money from a former FBI confidential human source, had protected that source’s illegal business, had provided false information to a local police department and had misused FBI assets for personal gain.

The inspector general referred this FBI agent’s case to the Department of Justice but DOJ would not prosecute.

"Criminal prosecution of the SA was declined," the IG said in a publicly released summary of the investigation.

DOJ declined to respond to questions that CNSNews.com asked it about this case.

"We don’t comment on referrals," a DOJ spokesperson said.

The Office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Justice released its "investigative summary" of the case on Aug. 6.

"The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Inspector General (OIG) initiated an investigation upon receipt of information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Inspection Division alleging that an FBI Special Agent had an inappropriate relationship with a former FBI Confidential Human Source (CHS), including receiving money and other items of value from the CHS," said the IG summary.

"The OIG investigation substantiated allegations that the SA received gifts, including money and items of value from the CHS, in violation of federal regulations regarding standards of conduct for federal employees and FBI policy," the summary said.

"The OIG further found," the summary continued, "that the SA: continued to use the CHS after the CHS had been deactivated by the FBI; protected the CHS and the CHS’s illegal business; misused FBI assets for personal gain; and committed computer security violations, all in violation of federal regulation and FBI policy.

"The OIG also found," the summary said, "that the SA improperly withheld information related to a state criminal investigation from local police department, and provided false information to the police department regarding the CHS’s status as an FBI CHS, which actions were wholly inconsistent with the SA’s obligations as a federal law enforcement officer.

"The OIG also found that the SA lacked candor with the FBI and the OIG, in violation of FBI policy," said the summary.

"Criminal prosecution of the SA was declined," it said.

52.1% of Kids Live in Households Getting Means-Tested Government Assistance
[CNS News] Will they be called The Welfare Generation?

Today, they are Americans under 18 years of age growing up in a country where the majority of their peers live in households that take "means-tested assistance" from the government.

In 2016, according to the most recent data from the Census Bureau, there were approximately 73,586,000 people under 18 in the United States, and 38,365,000 of them ‐ or 52.1 percent ‐ resided in households in which one or more persons received benefits from a means-tested government program.

These included the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps), Medicaid, public housing, Supplemental Security Income, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and the National School Lunch Program.

The Census Bureau published its data on the number and percentage of persons living in households that received means-tested government assistance in its Current Population Survey Detailed Tables for Poverty.

Table POV-26 indicates there were approximately 319,911,000 people in the United States in 2016. Of these, 114,793,000 ‐ 35.9 percent ‐ lived "in a household that received means-tested assistance."

That does not mean every person in the household received the aid themselves, only that one or more persons living in the household did.

Mercer - This is what 'Land Reform' looks like in South Africa
[WND] He who believes he has a right to another man’s property ought to produce proof that he is its rightful owner. "As the old legal adage goes, ’Possession is nine-tenths of the law,’ as it is the best evidence in our uncertain world of legitimate title. The burden of proof rests squarely with the person attempting to alter and abolish present property titles." (From " Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South-Africa".)

It is to this potent principle that democratic rule in South Africa has taken an axe ‐ or, rather, an assegai.

Here is how taking land legally currently works in South Africa, a place the U.S. State Department has only just lauded as "a strong democracy with resilient institutions. ...," a country merely "grappling with the difficult issue of land reform." "Land reform," of course, is a euphemism for land distribution in the Robert Mugabe mold.

The process currently in place typically begins with a "tribe" or group of individuals who band together to claim vast tracts of private property.

If these loosely and conveniently conjoined groups know anything, it’s this: South Africa’s adapted, indigenized law allows coveted land, owned and occupied by another, to be obtained with relative ease.

See, the country no longer enjoys the impressive Western system of Roman-Dutch law it once enjoyed. Lax law and poorly protected property rights signal a free-for-all on the lives of white owners and their livestock.

The Billion Dollar Homeless Scam
New York City will be spending $2.06 billion on its Department of Homeless Services. There are 61,421 homeless people in the city which is spending $33,539 per homeless person.

That’s only a little short of the starting salary of an FDNY firefighter at $39,000.

More money will be spent on the homeless than on the firefighters who save New Yorkers from burning buildings. The FDNY will have to make do with $2.04 billion, and the health department with $1.6 billion.

That’s impressive for DHS, a department that was only created in 1993 by the disgraced Dinkins administration and is now burning through more cash than agencies fulfilling actual vital city functions.

Two years ago, DHS had over 2,600 employees. That’s 1 employee to every 23 homeless people. Meanwhile 234 New Yorkers get only 1 police officer to serve and protect them from criminals.

Has this vast infusion of cash solved homelessness in the city? Nope.

New York’s homeless population has kept on growing until it now has more homeless people than any other city. New York City’s homeless growth rate is also faster than that of any other city.

Maybe because it spends more than any other city. But Los Angeles is catching up.

IMO, the most evil thing about the Left is that they get you through your innate decency

South African Rand weakens as Trump tweets about land debate
[fin24] The rand slumped against the dollar after a tweet by US President Donald Trump on the country’s land debate fueled speculation of possible sanctions against the country.

The currency weakened as much as 1.7% after Trump said he asked US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo "to closely study the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations". The South African government hit back, tweeting that it "totally rejects this narrow perception which only seeks to divide our nation."

The US’s acting ambassador to the country will be summoned to explain Trump’s comments, two people familiar with the situation said Thursday. He was intervening in an ongoing debate about whether South Africa should implement a policy of seizing land without paying for it in a bid to address inequalities built up during apartheid.

READ: Rand biggest upside risk to SA inflation - analysts
The comment raised concern that the US could target South Africa with economic sanctions having already moved against Turkey, a decision that would weaken the rand further, according to Hironori Sannami, an emerging-market currency trader at Mizuho Bank.

The rand was 1.3% weaker at 14.3466 per dollar by 08:23 in Johannesburg. Yields on benchmark 2026 government bonds rose 4 basis points to 8.97%.

Rush Limbaugh: Mueller's team proving 'dual system of justice at the highest levels'
[Wash Times] Radio host Rush Limbaugh says special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation is proving to millions of citizens that a "dual system of justice" exists in America.

The man behind the "Golden EIB microphone" told listeners on Wednesday that a large population of Americans view legal battles surrounding President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen, along ex-campaign chairman Paul Manafort, very differently than political pundits.

Mr. Limbaugh said that the U.S. Department of Justice’s handling of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s secret email server, particularly when juxtaposed with law enforcement’s focus on Mr. Trump, demonstrates a dangerous development.

"There is clearly now a double standard, a dual system of justice at the highest levels of our Department of Justice," the conservative said. "You can see it in the way the DOJ and the FBI exonerated the Democrat presidential candidate when real crimes were taking place for years and years right under their noses, crimes they perhaps even participated in."

"Those crimes, because they involved the Democrat nominee, were exonerated. The Democrat nominee herself was exonerated," he continued. "You go to the Trump campaign, the Republican, the opponent, where there aren’t any crimes, there wasn’t any collusion with Russia, there hasn’t been any obstruction of justice, and yet this is where the allegation of crimes is occurring? And it’s occurring with people who are peripheral to the original charge of all this ‐ Russian collusion, stealing the election?"

Mr. Limbaugh added that members of the media are essentially casting Mr. Mueller as a "sitting supreme branch of government who has the power to oversee the Trump administration" on a daily basis.

"What makes it really frightening, and the reason people are losing faith in some of the greatest institutions this country’s ever had, leading with the Department of Justice, is because it’s plain as day what I just pointed out to you: There is a dual system of justice in this country. If you’re a Democrat you’re going to be exonerated or given one hell of a benefit of the doubt. If you’re Republican, you’re gonna be presumed guilty, and a never-ending pursuit to get you will then commence."

The host’s comments came in the wake of Mr. Cohen’s guilty plea to eight criminal charges in federal court in Manhattan, which include bank fraud, tax evasion and campaign finance violations.

Mr. Manafort was found guilty of eight financial crimes in an Alexandria, Virginia, courtroom. Charges included filing false tax returns, failing to report foreign bank accounts in 2012 and bank fraud charges.

#1  How many people voted for President. Trump? And the Economy compared to the stagnation years of Obama is what? What Rush says about a double standard of Justice is absolutely Correct.

And how many people who voted for Trump own guns? Even if only one in a hundred of the Trump voters were to pick up a gun and look up the Democratic Party HQ in his or her State...how many people would that be? How many of those people would be Vets ?

It is not so altogether impossible that there would be a "revolt" of those Voters who Voted for Trump and see the Dems as staging a "Coup" to take away their vote by force.

Or perhaps the Voters could target Mueller's people individually>

How easily are you shocked ? The Constitution is the final authority of the Law of the United States. If the Dems can "impeach " Pres. Trump thru' the means of the Constitution and make it stick then the People of the United States will have to agree to it. But if they attempt to impeach Trump without the Constitution....they will face a lot of People who don't abide by not being armed when the govt. betrays them.

Plain and simple. Americans are unique people . NO double standards. ONE Law for all.

"You can see it in the way the DOJ and the FBI exonerated the Democrat presidential candidate when real crimes were taking place for years and years right under their noses, crimes they perhaps even participated in."

April Ryan Blames WH Press Secretary For Her Death Threats
[HotAir] I’d laugh if this little nugget of information weren’t so amazingly hypocritical. It takes quite a bit of cajones for a White House Press Corps reporter to blame President Trump’s Press Secretary Sarah Sanders Huckabee for her own personal security expenses. Yet, that is exactly what White House correspondent April Ryan did in a recent interview. I’ll note the irony here, too, of a reporter becoming the story, though this is more and more common now.

First, let me remind you of some of April Ryan’s past behavior while she carries out her duties as a reporter for American Urban Radio Networks and as a contributor for CNN. She famously yelled a question to President Trump ‐ "Are you a racist?" after he made the sh**hole countries remark and she once asked Sanders if the president has thought about stepping down. And of course, let us not forget the #piegate story I wrote about last year during the holidays. Ryan actually instigated a personal battle with Sanders over pie. How’s that for some serious journalism? (Also, never question a southern woman’s baking skills. It turns out badly for you.)

Bulk Of Clinton Emails On Weiner's Laptop Were Never Examined, Findings Were Never Reported
[HotAir] Real Clear Investigations has a blockbuster report focused on the investigation of Anthony Weiner’s laptop and the emails found on it just prior to the 2016 election. Contrary to what was claimed by then-Director James Comey in public, RCI found no real effort was made to look at nearly 700,000 emails found on the laptop. In all, only a few thousand were examined and when more classified information was found in those, it was never referred back to the intelligence community for a damage assessment as required by law.

There are a lot of moving parts in this story but I’ll try to hit a few of the highlights. First, here’s what Comey claimed happened in the final weeks of the 2016 election:

Idlib: 1,000 civilians let loose, Al Nusra big turban joins choir eternal, Syrian Army spies make videos

Syrian Army spy films from within Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib

[AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their trolling campaign against the jihadist rebels, today, releasing two videos from within the latter’s strongholds in the Idlib Governorate.

The latest video the Syrian Arab Army released shows one of their spies operating inside the key town of Khan Sheikhoun, which is located along the strategic Hama-Idlib Highway (M-5 Highway) in the southern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

As shown in the video below, the Syrian Army spy is moving freely in Khan Sheikhoun, despite Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s ongoing security campaign to capture these operatives working for the government:

Khan Sheikhoun is one of the most important towns in southern Idlib and it has become a major stronghold for the jihadist rebels fighting against the government forces in northwest Syria.

The town of Khan Sheikhoun was also the site of the chemical weapons attack that was blamed on the Syrian government in April of 2017.

Syrian Army spy films from inside heart of Idlib city

[AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army’s Tiger Forces branch released a new spy video, Thursday, from the jihadist-held territories in northwest Syria.

Similar to their previous videos from northwest Syria, the Tiger Forces’ spy filmed from within the heart of the jihadist-held territories.

In this particular video, the Tiger Forces’ spy was filming from the heart of Idlib city, which is a stronghold for the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

The Tiger Forces’ spy could be seen filming from the Clock Roundabout area, which is located in the provincial capital’s city-center.

Below is the video that was released by the official media wing of the Tiger Forces earlier today:

Turkish jihadist commander assassinated sophisticated attack in northwest Idlib

[AlMasdar] A Turkish jihadist commander was the latest victim of a targeted assassination in the Idlib Governorate, opposition activists reported via social media on Wednesday evening.

According to these activists, an unnamed Turkish commander of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham was assassinated when a sticky bomb exploded on his 4×4 vehicle in the northwestern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

The activists reported that the assassination was carried out near the Bsania town bakery on Wednesday.

The sticky bomb that was reportedly used during the assassination was a modern manufactured bomb and not DIY one, which indicates that some country intelligent spies are behind the assassination and not the Islamic State (ISIS), opposition activists added.

As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for this assassination.

Over 1,000 people exit jihadist-held areas through humanitarian corridor

[AlMasdar] Civilians are leaving militant-controlled areas in the Syrian province of Idlib. The Suriya al-Ain news portal reports that on Wednesday, about 1,000 people used the humanitarian corridor in Abu al-Duhur, built near the border with the province of Aleppo. The majority of refugees are women and children.

One of the refugees stated that people leave Idlib to escape from the militants of Jabhat al-Nusra (terror group outlawed in Russia).

“Many fear that if the military action begins, the terrorists will use the civilians as a human shield,” he said.

As Syria’s Minister of State for National Reconciliation Ali Heidar stated earlier, “Idlib has become a haven for the most radical forces in the camp of anti-government units, which cannot become part of the Syrian government’s political project.” According to him, “no mutual understanding and agreements is possible with this category of militants.”

On August 16, Syrian military opened a humanitarian corridor for civilians in the area of Abu al-Duhur.

Idlib is the only Syrian region that remains in the hands of illegal armed groups. In 2017, a northern de-escalation zone was set up there, with Turkey responsible for maintaining stability in it. Together with Russia and Iran, Turkey is guarantor of the Syrian ceasefire.

Latakia: Syrian army division heads toward offensive, Al Nusra vs FSA cage match

Huge 4th Division convoy heads to northern Latakia for upcoming offensive (video)

[AlMasdar] A huge military convoy from one of the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) elite divisions was filmed heading towards the northern countryside of the Latakia on Thursday.

According to a military communique from Latakia, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Division sent another large convoy to this imperative front near the Turkish border this week.

The 4th Division sent their 39th and 41st brigades to the Latakia Governorate, with another large batch to come in the next few days, a source from the Syrian Arab Army told Al-Masdar News on Thursday evening.

Below is the video of the 4th Division heading towards the Jabal Al-Akrad and Jabal Turkmen regions of northern Latakia:

In the coming weeks, the Syrian Arab Army is expected to begin their long-awaited offensive to retake all of the territories controlled by the jihadist rebels in northern latakia.

Trouble in paradise: HTS attacks rebel allies in northern Latakia as Syrian Army’s offensive nears

[AlMasdar] In a bizarre move on Thursday, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
launched a big attack on their Free Syrian Army (FSA) allies in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.

According to opposition activists via social media, Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham stormed the bases of the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) Ansar Al-Sham Regiment in the ‘Ayn Bidah area on Thursday morning.

Intense clashes would ensue between the former allies, as Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham attempted to gain the upper hand against the Free Syrian Army faction near the Turkish border-crossing in Latakia.

The opposition activists allege that Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched this attack in a bid to seize Ansar Al-Sham’s weapons; however, others claimed that the latter was preparing to join the ranks of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, which HTS currently has a dispute with.

This latest infighting between the rebel forces comes as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) prepares to launch a large-scale offensive in the northern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.

Quneitra: Syrian Army discovers cached American and Israeli equipment

Syrian Army seizes large quantity of Israeli-made weapons near occupied Golan Heights (video)

[AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) seized a large amount of weapons near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights this week, state-owned Al-Ikhbariya reported on Wednesday.

According to the Al-Ikhbariya report, the Syrian Arab Army seized a large quantity of weapons inside the former rebel stronghold of Jabata Al-Khashab in the Al-Quneitra Governorate.

The Syrian Army reportedly seized this large weapons cache this week while combing through several buildings that were used by the jihadist rebels for storage in Jabata Al-Khashab.

The Syrian Army managed to seize a large quantity of Israeli-made RPGs, heavy machine guns, IEDs, and ammunition boxes.

Below is the short video from Al-Ikhbariya that was released on Wednesday:

Syrian Army discovers rebel field hospital with US-made equipment

[AlMasdar] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) said on Thursday that their troops had discovered a rebel field hospital in the al-Quneitra Governorate.

According to a communique from the Syrian Arab Army, the rebel field hospital was found in the al-Quneitra Governorate town of Rafid and it contained US-made equipment.

The Syrian Army discovered this field hospital while combing through several buildings that were once controlled by the rebel forces in the town of Rafid.

Below are some of the photos that were taken from this field hospital:

CBS News Pollster: I Don't Think We'll See A Blue Wave
[Townhall] We’ve been hearing it for months: the blue wave is coming. The Democrats are going to retake the House. The Democratic ballot advantage is significant. Well, if that does occur, a blue wave, congressional Democrats will move to impeach President Trump on bogus charges. There is still zero evidence to suggest the president’s campaign colluded with the Russians. Oh, what about campaign finance? The Obama campaign was fined for violations. Did he ever face impeachment charges?

It’ll be a circus, a pervasive parade of nonsense, hyperbole, and liberal whining the likes of which we’ve never seen. And we’ve seen a lot of tantrums since Hillary Clinton’s epic loss in 2016. So, what can the GOP do to avert a blue wave? Well, GOP pollster Frank Luntz said the GOP should force a vote on speaker to force Democrats on the Hill to vote for Nancy Pelosi; their names will be on record. The second thing is to pass another piece of legislation, like tougher accountability measures for food stamps. That narrative was torpedoed when moderate Republicans joined Democrats in backing a discharge petition to hold a series of votes on immigration. If they found 218 signatures, it would have allowed votes on this issue without going through the GOP House leadership. They were reportedly two or three votes shy of successfully triggering this legislative maneuver, which prompted Speaker Paul Ryan to strike a deal on the matter, which further divided the party in the midst of a critical election year.

The whole episode was a dumpster fire. Yet, one thing that has bolstered GOP chances is the economy. It’s booming, especially in the competitive districts Democrats hope to flip‐all of this thanks to the Trump tax cuts. The ballot advantage has shrunk to six points; it was in the high double-digits after the holidays last year.

Audience Laughs at Lanny Davis When He Asks Them to Donate to Michael Cohen Fund
[Townhall] Michael Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis did not get much love on Megyn Kelly's TODAY show during his appearance on Wednesday. Kelly asked him to confirm whether or not President Trump knew about the payments Cohen, Trump's lawyer at the time, made to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal ahead of the 2016 election. Cohen said Trump not only knew about it, but coordinated the payments.

Cohen, Davis said, is a changed man.

"He’s gone through a transformation," Davis said. "He did a lot of things to defend Donald Trump that he now regrets. He’s a new person when he first called me he told me that he was changing his life and now telling the truth about Donald Trump and that’s why he wanted me to help him."

At one point, Davis pleaded with the audience to donate to Cohen's online fund, michaelcohentruth.com. Judging by their reaction, they were not interested. (the mockery begins at the 7:29 mark)

Massachusetts Republican beats trans driver’s license bill by forcing votes on all 73 genders
[LIFESITENEWS] Legislation to add a "Gender X" option to driver’s license should have been a straightforward task in the far-left state of Massachusetts, but one Republican politician managed to derail the bill by taking transgender ideology to its furthest extreme.

The state Senate voted in June to approve the measure, which would have also extended the option to learner’s permits and state identification cards. No documentation would have been required to prove an applicant is neither male nor female.

"It’s a milestone," bill sponsor Sen. Karen Spilka, a Democrat, said at the time.

Despite the state House of Representatives being just as heavily Democratic as the Senate, however, it never got the chance to send the bill to liberal Republican Gov. Charlie Baker’s desk.

In a column for the Boston Globe, New England radio host Howie Carr details how Republican Rep. Jim Lyons adopted a unique strategy for defeating the bill: forcing it to live up to its supporters’ own logic.

"Since all Democrats must admit that the number of genders is endless, how dare the commonwealth lump all the new genders together as ’Gender X’?" Carr writes, summarizing Lyons’ facetious reasoning. "Every gender, he declared, must be listed on Massachusetts driver’s licenses! That was Lyons’ non-negotiable demand. No justice, no peace."

Dealer who sold ammo to Las Vegas shooter indicted
[FoxNews] An Arizona man who sold ammunition to the gunman in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history was charged Wednesday in Nevada on a charge of engaging in the business of making ammunition without a license.

The indictment against Douglas Haig of Mesa doesn't mention his sales to Stephen Paddock, who killed 58 people at a music festival 10 months ago from his hotel room in Las Vegas. The charge says Haig sold ammunition without a license from July 2016 until mid-October 2017, but makes no mention of the Las Vegas attack.

Prosecutors said in a statement that Haig sold armor-piercing ammunition throughout the United States, including Nevada, Texas, Virginia, Wyoming, and South Carolina.

Haig told investigators that he reloads ammunition, but doesn't sell such cartridges to customers — and that none of the ammunition recovered in the Las Vegas attack would have tool marks consistent with his reloading equipment, prosecutors said.

Beleaguered Australian PM Turnbull clings to power
[Al Jazeera] Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull clung to power on Thursday as senior ministers deserted him.

Turnbull, who narrowly won a leadership vote on Tuesday against former home affairs minister Peter Dutton, said he would hold a second leadership vote on Friday if he received a letter signed by the majority of the ruling Liberal party.

Dutton and senior ministers on Thursday called for a second ballot.

"Australians will be rightly appalled by what they are witnessing in their parliament," Turnbull told news hounds in the capital, Canberra.

Key supporter Finance Minister Mathias Cormann said Turnbull no longer had majority party support and Dutton was now the best person to lead the conservative government to the next election, due by May 2019.

When Justice Is Partial: Mueller is determined to sniff out any wrongdoing he can find‐on one side.
[Kim Strassel - WSJ] U.S. Attorney Robert Khuzami took a few moments in his Tuesday statement about Michael Cohen’s plea deal to sing neutrality’s praise: "His day of reckoning serves as a reminder that we are a nation of laws, with one set of rules that applies equally to everyone."

Noble words, and they used to mean something. But a disparity of justice is at the heart of our current crisis of faith in institutions. Americans aren’t outraged that the Federal Bureau of Investigation felt obliged to investigate allegations leveled at campaigns, or that a special counsel is looking at Russian electoral interference. They are instead furious that Lady Justice seems to have it in for only one side.

The country has watched the FBI treat one presidential campaign with kid gloves, the other with informants, warrants and eavesdropping. They’ve seen the Justice Department resist all efforts at accountability, even as it fails to hold its own accountable. And don’t get them started on the one-sided media.

#1  Congress needs to give Mueller's partisan hacks an expiration date (sooner than later) and cut off the money. They have been on this witch hunt for two years and have come up with nada regarding Russian collusion in the elections. All they have been able to up with are process crimes by strong arming Flynn about lying. His family was threatened if he did not agree to a plea about lying to the FBI. The other crimes with Cohen involved old charges of such things as tax fraud, failing to file a form as an agent for a foreign country (which many others have done) and other such crimes.

So far, Mueller has not looked into and criminality of HRC, the C.F., Russian collusion, espionage and the other myriad of crimes. It is so obvious that no one is looking at this criminality of the left that it sticks out like a sore thumb or advanced stage facial melanoma.

A looming reason no one is looking at these crimes is that many of those who are not looking at these crimes are covering up their own complicity in one or more crimes.

I'd swear that because nothing is being done about the real criminality and because this witch hunt which was built on lies is allowed to continue, that someone wants chaos and a civil war in this country. I'm not advocating such a thing, I'm just reading the tea leaves and stating an opinion. Such a war would be extremely costly in lives and property. Those who promote such chaos would not escape what they are promoting. They must think it is a sanitized video game that they are playing.

American woman detained by SDF charged with supporting ISIS in Syria
[Rudaw] An American woman who claimed her late husband tricked her into going to Syria has been tossed in the slammer
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
by the Federal Bureau of Investigation on two counts of supporting ISIS.

On Thursday, the US Department of Justice announced charges against Samantha Marie Elhassani of "conspiring to provide material support to [ISIS]" and "aiding and abetting individuals in providing material support" to the group.

"Under both charges she is alleged to have procured tactical gear and provided funds," stated the justice department, which added the charges stemmed from actions in the Fall of 2014 through the Summer of 2015.

"The charges against Ms. Elhassani illustrate that actions of providing support to ISIS have serious consequences, and should serve as a reminder to American citizens that providing assistance to terrorist organizations or individuals aligned with terrorist entities will not be tolerated," stated Special Agent in Charge Grant Mendenhall of the FBI’s Indianapolis Division.

In July 2018, Elhassani was transferred from the custody Syrian Democratic Forces to US law enforcement. The SDF is the mostly Kurdish partnered ground force of the US-led international anti-ISIS coalition in the country.

The 32-year-old Elhassani, also known as Samantha Sally
... that’s the name used in the single entry in our archives, but some reports elsewhere refer to her by her married name, Samantha Elhassani...
, is formerly of Elkhart, Indiana.

She told CNN in an interview in April in SDF custody that her late husband, Mousssa Elhassani, told her she was going to live a cheaper life in Morocco. He then forced her to choose between abandoning her daughter to ISIS to save her son or follow her husband to ISIS-held areas.

"I will do anything to get my kids back where they belong," Elhassani said. "If I have to spend 15 years in prison, it's better than anything here."

She told CNN they entered Syria through The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
in 2015. Her son, age 7 at the time, was used in ISIS propaganda videos.

"Maybe I would never have seen my daughter again ever, and how can I live the rest of my life like that," she told CNN that reports Moussa Elhassani died in an air strike in 2017.

"I was like a prisoner," claimed Elhassani, who said she spent $10,000 "to help" a teenage Yezidi girl named "Soad."

The Yezidi girl was repeatedly raped by her husband, who then bought another "slave" for $7,500 named "Bedrine," who was younger than Soad. The wife told CNN she was protecting the girls.

She will face court proceedings in the United States.

"My office is committed to aggressively pursuing and prosecuting those who support designated terrorist organizations such as ISIS," US Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana Thomas L. Kirsch II said. "This indictment is an example of that commitment."

Both individuals participated in the execution of a high-ranked Iraqi official in October 2014.

Raad A. arrived in Germany in 2015, after which he attempted to recruit two men and convince one of his supporters to commit an act of terrorism. Raad A. and Abbas R. were captured in May 2017 in a separate case. They were jugged

North Korea stops dismantling rocket test site — report
[IsraelTimes] Commercial satellite imagery said to indicate Pyongyang may be modifying Sohae facility, which was used to test liquid-fuel engines for ballistic missiles and space launch vehicles

North Korea has stopped dismantling a rocket test site, based on satellite photographs taken in recent weeks and other new evidence, a group of experts said Wednesday.

According to the 38 North group, commercial satellite imagery of the Sohae satellite launching station indicates Pyongyang shows no significant work has taken place to dismantle either the engine test stand or launch pad since August 3.

Sohae, on the northwest coast of North Korea, has been used to test liquid-fuel engines for ballistic missiles and space launch vehicles.

Outside observers say nuclear-armed Pyongyang’s space program is a fig leaf for weapons tests as rocket engines are easily re-purposed for use in missiles.

In June, 38 North analyst Joseph Bermudez said Sohae is "believed to have played an important role in the development of technologies for the North’s intercontinental ballistic missile program."

From July until early August Pyongyang had begun taking down the site, but appeared to have done no new work over the past several weeks. The components already dismantled reportedly remain stacked at the site.

Although there has been little dismantling at the test site, 38 North reported that there was only a slight reduction of trucks and trailers working at the headquarters.

The report said, "It is still unclear if this activity is associated with dismantling or modification of the structure."

and North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
in June, the president had declared that Pyongyang was "no longer a Nuclear Threat," and touted his own diplomatic achievements.

But Kim did not publicly promise to end work at the country’s nuclear and missile facilities, instead speaking of eventual denuclearization.

Last month a news report said that Pyongyang appeared to be developing at least one or two liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Post said, citing officials familiar with the intelligence.

The new missile construction followed US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s July testimony in which he told senators Pyongyang continues to make nuclear fissile material, without indicating whether the hermit state was building new missiles.

Imagery from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency suggests ongoing work on at least one Hwasong-15 ICBM at the Sanumdong plant, the Post said.

"We see them going to work, just as before," a US official told the newspaper.

European rights court says Hungary must feed asylum seekers on border
[AlAhram] Hungary must provide food to asylum seekers held in detention camps on its border with Serbia whose applications have been rejected by Budapest but who are appealing the decision, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) said on Thursday.

Human rights groups say that Hungarian authorities have refused food to some asylum seekers held in the two detention camps on the border, which are open towards Serbia, while they await the outcome of their court appeal.

Hungary's parliament in June passed laws that criminalise giving some kinds of help to illegal immigrants colonists. Hungary also said it would not accept asylum applications from migrants colonists arriving via a country where they are deemed safe from persecution or harm, or where an adequate level of protection is provided.

As all the asylum seekers have come via Serbia, which is classed by Hungary as a safe country, their applications can now be rejected. The European Commission says the changes do not comply with EU law and has launched a procedure against Hungary.

The Helsinki Committee, a rights group, said in an Aug. 17 statement it had asked the Strasbourg-based ECHR to intervene over what it described as "inhuman" treatment on the border.

NASA Fires Intern Who Tells Space Council Member to ‘Suck My D**k'
[Breitbart] A Twitter user going by "Naomi H" unwittingly told a member of the new National Space Council to "suck my dick and balls" on Thursday.

@NaomiH_official has deleted her account in the wake of the brief Twitter exchange that cost her a coveted internship with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). "EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP," Naomi tweeted, "I GOT ACCEPTED FOR A NASA INTERNSHIP."

"Language," responded member of the National Space Council‐and former NASA engineer‐Homer Hickam. Naomi was quick to reply "Suck my dick and balls I’m working at NASA," but certainly did not expect Hickam’s reply. "And I am on the National Space Council that oversees NASA."

Even so, Hickam said that he did not seek her dismissal. He believes that the same friends who peppered him with insults during the brief exchange were responsible for sharing it on social media until it attracted NASA’s attention. Hickam himself actually deleted his own tweets, in hopes of keeping her out of trouble.

"I learned she had lost her offer for an internship with NASA," Hickam wrote in a blog post on his personal website. "This I had nothing to do with, nor could I since I do not hire and fire at the agency or have any say on employment whatsoever."

"As it turned out, it was due to the NASA hashtag her friends used that called the agency’s attention to it long after my comments were gone," he continued, even taking responsibility for the situation despite it being well out of his hands. "For what it’s worth, I want to extend @NaomiH_official my deepest condolences for having this opportunity torn away from her by an old chud," he said.

Reality Winner sentenced to more than 5 years over classified report leak
Former National Security Agency contractor Reality Winner on Thursday was sentenced to more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to leaking a classified report with information on Russia’s involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

Winner, 26, was sentenced to 63 months, with no fine in a Georgia courtroom. She received an additional three years of supervised release.

The prisoner's mom had tears streaming down her face as the sentence was read. Winner appeared in court wearing an orange jumpsuit.

Winner's defense team said they felt the sentence, reportedly the longest ever imposed for a federal media leak crime, was "fair."

Winner, an Air Force veteran, pleaded guilty in June after being held in prison at the Lincoln County Jail near Augusta, Georgia. Winner was locked away

in June 2017, and charged under the Espionage Act for removing classified material from a government facility and mailing it to a news outlet, according to the Justice Department.

Winner’s 2017 arrest was announced shortly after the Intercept website published a story detailing how Russian hackers attacked at least one U.S. voting software supplier and sent so-called "spear-phishing" emails to more than 100 local election officials at the end of October or beginning of November 2016.

The Deadly African Virus That's Killing China's Pigs
[Bloomberg] A deadly swine disease is spreading across northeastern China, infecting hundreds of animals and threatening the world’s largest pig industry. African swine fever killed 340 pigs in Leqing city in Zhejiang, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said today, marking the fourth Chinese province to confirm cases of the incurable disease in August. Outbreaks have been reported as far as 1,200 kilometers (746 miles) apart.

1. What is African swine fever?

A highly contagious viral disease which, in its most virulent form, can be 100 percent lethal to domestic pigs and wild boars. There is no vaccine. It is characterized by high fever, loss of appetite, hemorrhages in the skin and internal organs, with death coming in 2-10 days on average. Diarrhea, vomiting, coughing and breathing difficulties are other symptoms.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Bolton: U.S. sanctions on Iran more effective than expected
[Jpost] Sanctions that the United States reimposed on Iran have been more effective than expected, President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
's national security adviser said, although he noted the continuation of regional activity by Tehran opposed by Washington.

The Trump administration slapped back sanctions this month after withdrawing from the 2015 international nuclear deal with Iran, which Washington regards as insufficient for denying Tehran the means to make an atomic bomb and as a spur for its meddling in neighboring Middle East countries.

The US turnaround outraged Iran, which has taken a defiant stance, and has rattled other world powers where some businesses have been debating whether to divest from the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

"Let me be clear, the reimposition of the sanctions, we think, is already having a significant effect on Iran's economy and on, really, popular opinion inside Iran," National Security Adviser John Bolton told Rooters during a visit to Israel.

The Iranian economy has been beset by high unemployment and inflation and a rial currency that has lost half its value since April. The reimposition of sanctions could make matters worse.

Thousands of Iranians have protested in recent weeks against sharp price rises of some food items, a lack of jobs and state corruption. The protests over the cost of living have often turned into anti-government rallies.

"I think the effects, the economic effects certainly, are even stronger than we anticipated," Bolton said. "But Iranian activity in the region has continued to be belligerent: what they are doing in Iraq, what they are doing in Syria, what they are doing with Hezbollah in Leb, what they are doing in Yemen, what they have threatened to do in the Strait of Hormuz."

The Strait is a strategic waterway for oil shipments which Iran's Revolutionary Guards have threatened to block in response to Trump administration calls to ban all Iranian oil exports.

US LOWERS SANCTIONS BOOM
Washington imposed new sanctions on Iran in August, targeting its trade in gold and other precious metals, purchases of US dollars and its car industry. Trump has said the United States will issue another round of tougher sanctions in November that will target Iran's oil sales and banking sector.

Germany called on Tuesday for Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
to set up payment systems independent of the United States if it wants to save the Iran nuclear agreement.

European powers have been scrambling to ensure Iran secures enough economic benefits to persuade it to stay in the deal. This had proven difficult, with many European firms wary of far-reaching financial penalties by the Trump administration. French oil group Total pulled out a major gas project in Iran.

"We expect that Europeans will see, as businesses all over Europe are seeing, that the choice between doing business with Iran or doing business with the United States is very clear to them," Bolton said.

"So we will see what plays out in November. But the president (Trump) has made it very clear - his words - he wants maximum pressure on Iran, maximum pressure, and that is what is going on."

He added: "There should not be any doubt that the United States wants this resolved peacefully, but we are fully prepared for any contingency that Iran creates."

The pact between Iran and world powers lifted international sanctions that had been throttling the Iranian economy. In return, Iran accepted restrictions on its nuclear activities, increasing the time it would need to produce an atomic bomb if it chose to do so. It has long denied having any such intent.

The Grand Turk
US urged to respect Turkey’s judicial independence
[ARABNEWS] The front man for President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
has slammed what he said was the US disregard for The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
’s legal process, adding Washington had made arbitrary comments and demands in the case of a detained pastor.

In a statement to Rooters, Ibrahim Kalin called on the US to respect Turkey’s judicial independence, one of Ankara’s most pointed responses yet to criticism over its detention of evangelical Christian pastor Andrew Brunson.

"There is rule of law in Turkey and the Andrew Brunson case is a legal issue. There is an ongoing legal process related to this individual," Kalin said.

"It goes without saying that we find unacceptable the disregard of the legal process by the United States, which has been making certain demands."

His comments came after President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s National Security Adviser John Bolton earlier said that Turkey made a "big mistake" in not releasing Brunson.

Brunson, who has lived in Turkey for two decades, has been detained for 21 months on terrorism charges, which he denies, and is now under house arrest.

Trump, who counts evangelical Christians among his core supporters, has become a vocal champion of the pastor’s case, making him an unwitting flashpoint in the tension between two NATO

allies. "Every day that goes by that mistake continues, this crisis could be over instantly if they did the right thing as a NATO ally, part of the West, and release (him) ... without condition," Bolton said. Kalin, dismissed those statement as "arbitrary" comments and demands. He also hit back against the US over an investigation into state-owned lender Halkbank for potential Iran-sanctions busting. Turkey wants the US Treasury to halt the investigation. Halkbank has said all of its transactions were legal. A US court this year sentenced one of its executives to 32 months in prison for involvement in a scheme to avoid Iran sanctions.

Terror Networks
UN team, approved a year ago, starts work on Daesh crimes in Iraq
[ARABNEWS] A UN investigative team that will collect and preserve evidence of acts by ISIS in Iraq that may be war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide started work this week, nearly a year after the Security Council created it.

At last September’s annual UN gathering of world leaders, the council unanimously adopted a British-drafted resolution ‐ after a year of talks with Iraq ‐ asking UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to create the team "to support domestic efforts" to hold the bandidos turbans accountable.

UN experts had warned in June 2016 that ISIS was committing genocide against the Yazidis in Syria and Iraq to destroy the minority religious community through killings, sexual slavery and other crimes.

Guterres notified the 15-member Security Council in a letter that the UN team, led by British lawyer Karim Asad Ahmad Khan, would start work on Aug. 20.

Guterres announced in May that he had appointed Khan after the Security Council approved the scope and limitations for the team in February. He said in the letter, released on Thursday, that Khan visited Iraq earlier this month.

Use of evidence collected by the team in other venues, such as international courts, would "be determined in agreement with the Government of Iraq on a case-by-case basis." Evidence is for primary use by Iraqi authorities, followed by "competent national-level courts," according to the 2017 UN resolution.

International human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
lawyer Amal Clooney and Nadia Murad, a young Yazidi woman who was enslaved and raped by ISIS fighters in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, have long pushed Iraq to allow UN Sherlocks to help.

ISIS, which until last year controlled large areas in Syria and Iraq, has since been driven into the desert by successive defeats in offensives by international allies in both countries. The UN investigative team’s mission does not include Syria.

The move comes after ISIS related media sites have published what they claim to be a recording of His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...the head of ISIS, or what remains of it, and a veteran of the Abu Graib jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us. So far he has been killed at least four times, though not yet by a stake through the heart...
on Wednesday. If verified, the audio would be the first speech heard from the bully boy group’s leader in nearly a year.

An Iraqi intelligence official said in May that Baghdadi remains alive in Syria near the Iraqi border, AFP reported. Baghdadi was said to move around with only a small group of followers.

Having pulled out of UNHRC, Bolton says US will now cut its funding
[IsraelTimes] In latest blow to United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
bodies, Trump's national security adviser says administration will 'de-fund' council accused of anti-Israel bias and office of UN rights chief

US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s national security adviser, John Bolton, said Thursday that the United States will cut funding for the UN Human Right Council and for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, in the administration’s latest blow against the United Nations.

"We are going to de-fund the Human Rights Council," Bolton said in an interview with the News Agency that Dare Not be Named, while warning that other UN agencies could also be up for cuts in US funding.

The Trump administration pulled out of the 47-member body in June, accusing it of anti-Israel bias and of allowing countries with poor human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
records to be among its members.

The move announced by Bolton would mean the Human Rights Council will lose one of its largest donors.

Bolton, a frequent critic of the United Nations, served as US ambassador to the UN under George W. Bush’s administration.

Bolton rejected claims by some UN officials who insist the council gets its funding through the regular UN budget ‐ meaning that its operating expenses can’t be specifically targeted.

The United States pays about 22 percent of the UN budget ‐ its largest single donor ‐ as part of what’s known as an "assessment" based on economic weight and other factors.

"We’ll calculate 22 percent of the Human Rights Council and the High Commissioner’s budget, and our remittances to the UN for this budget year will be less 22 percent of those costs ‐ and we’ll say specifically that’s what we’re doing," Bolton said. "We expect that impact to occur on the Human Rights Council."

In June, the US announced its decision to leave the council, condemning the "hypocrisy" of its members and its "unrelenting bias" against Israel.

The Geneva-based body was established in 2006 to promote and protect human rights worldwide, but its pronouncements and reports have often infuriated the US ‐ in particular, the council’s relentless focus on Israeli policies toward the Paleostinians.

Israel is the only country that has a dedicated agenda item at council meetings, one defended in particular by the Arab bloc of countries.

Israel, which isn’t a member of the council, welcomed the US decision at the time, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling the UN Human Rights Council a "biased, hostile, anti-Israel organization."

"Instead of dealing with regimes that systematically violate human rights, the UNHRC obsessively focuses on Israel, the one genuine democracy in the Middle East," Netanyahu said.

The US exit was the first time in the council’s history that a member state quit voluntarily, while Libya was kicked out seven years ago.

Row widens after German police blocked TV crew at PEGIDA rally
[Al Jazeera] A scandal about German coppers obstructing a TV crew at a far-right rally has escalated after it emerged that the protester at the centre of the incident was an off-duty police staff, raising further concerns about entrenched right-wing sympathies among the police and attacks on press freedom.

Authorities in Saxony confirmed on Wednesday that the police employee had attended a march by anti-Islam and anti-migrant group PEGIDA in the state capital, Dresden, on August 18 and had reported journalists covering the rally to police, who detained them for 45 minutes.

Video footage showed a well-built man in sunglasses and a hat in the colours of the German flag confronting the crew working for public broadcaster ZDF, waving his hands at the camera, telling them not to film and reporting them to the police.

The ZDF news hound, Arndt Ginzel, accused police of effectively acting as the "executive" arm of PEGIDA.

Residents of Korea's Jeju island talk about Yemeni refugees
[Al Jazeera] More than 550 Yemeni nationals have arrived on South Korea's Jeju Island since April seeking asylum and refugee status.

Unlike mainland South Korea, Jeju offered visa-free arrival for various nationalities, including Yemenis, to boost tourism.

But the arrival of Yemenis, mostly from Malaysia - to which they fled from war-torn Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
- sparked an online outcry and protests on the island, as well as the capital, Seoul.

The refugees are barred from leaving Jeju and entering mainland South Korea and are only permitted to work on farms, the sea or restaurants, often doing long hours of manual labour. Some complain of not being paid after working for more than a month.

More than 700,000 South Koreans filed an online petition urging the government to stop its visa-free policy for Yemen.

Protesters demanded the government to refuse asylum and deport the Yemenis.

A recent survey of more than 500 Jeju residents revealed almost 90 percent felt insecure about going outside since the arrival of the Yemenis.

[Rudaw] At least two people were wounded when mortar shells hit a neighborhood in the multiethnic city of Tuz Khurmatu on Thursday, a Kurdish official has confirmed. The local Turkmen Hashd and Kurdish parties blame each other for the attack.

“Earlier this morning, some mortar shells were fired at the Askari neighborhood from an unknown location,” Mala Karim Shkur, head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) office in Tuz Khurmatu, told Rudaw.

The mortars landed near a bazaar, he said.

“According to our information, two persons were wounded,” he added.

The PUK official accused the Turkmen Hashd in Tuz Khurmatu of firing the mortar rounds. The Shiite Turkmen group meanwhile blames the Kurdish parties, he said.

The Turkmen group has not issued a statement on the incident.

The Shiite-majority Hashd al-Shaabi paramilitias, also known as the Popular Mobilization Units (PMUs), have recently been ordered to withdraw from “liberated” Iraqi cities following demands from Sunni politicians.

“Now that there is an attempt to repel the Turkmen Hashd from Tuz Khurmatu, they are carrying out such acts in order to legitimize that they still do exist,” the PUK official said.

The town of Tuz Khurmatu is still reeling from the October 16 events of last year which saw almost a complete displacement of Kurdish residents of the town and the withdrawal of Peshmerga forces.

The Shiite Turkmen are affiliated with Hashd al-Shaabi.

Major Sunni politicians have demanded the Hashd’s eviction from their cities, saying stability cannot be established where its forces are present.

Last week, reports indicated the Hashd was withdrawing from cities in Nineveh. However, head of force deployments Jawad Kadhim denied any such plan, claiming Hashd in these areas were merely restructuring.

The Hashd was formed following a call by Iraq's Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani in the summer of 2014 when ISIS captured several Iraqi provinces. The nation's most powerful Shiite cleric urged civilians to take up arms and fight the group's expansion.

The Iraqi parliament voted in November 2016 to recognize the Hashd as an official part of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF).

Sistani in December called on the Hashd to come under the full command of the Iraqi military, adding the state must have exclusive authority over all armed forces.

Afghanistan
Russia hosts Taliban in bid for greater influence in Afghanistan
[ARABNEWS] They may be arch rivals but now the Talibs and Russia have a common enemy and purpose ‐ to see departure of the US troops from Afghanistan after more than 17 years of war that has spread of extremism and deep mistrust of the presence of American forces.

As part of its effort to revive influence in its former backyard, Moscow plans to hold a regional conference on the Afghan grinding of the peace processor on Sept. 4, a gathering that is highly likely to feature discussion on the fate of American soldiers in the country.

The Taliban
...Arabic for students...

He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
has refused to participate.

ISIS’s affiliates, despite numerous offensives by Afghan and US troops in recent months, have stepped up their attacks and conducted far more sophisticated strikes in major cities, including northern areas close to the border with Central Asia.

"Any debate held in regional or other countries about Afghanistan, especially about the grinding of the peace processor, needs to be structured under the auspices of the Afghan government. We are not attending," Afghan Foreign Ministry front man Sibghat Ahmadi told Arab News on Thursday.

Iran: Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe temporarily released from prison
[Al Jazeera] A British-Iranian woman tossed in the calaboose

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who has vehemently denied the allegations.

against her, was reunited with family members - including her four-year-old daughter - after being freed from the capital's Evin Prison.

The "Free Nazanin" campaign group, run by her husband Richard Ratcliffe, welcomed the temporary release but called for her permanent freedom.

"Furlough is not full freedom - we want her home, not just on holiday from prison - but it is still such a good step. We will keep campaigning until she is home in the UK," the Free Nazanin group said in a statement on Facebook.

Zaghari-Ratcliffe was warned not to attempt to leave the country while on temporary release, or conduct interviews with local or international media, it added.
The Times of Israel adds:
Bail for her temporary release was set at 1 billion rials ($23,840, 20,590 euros), with her family’s home in Tehran used as collateral, according to the campaign.

Trying to keep nuclear deal alive, EU unveils Iran aid
[IsraelTimes] The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
is announcing its first financial support package to help bolster Iran’s flagging economy, part of the bloc’s commitment to keep the Iran nuclear deal alive.

The European Commission unveils Thursday a first tranche of 18 million euros ($21 million) ‐ 8 million for the private sector, 8 million to cope with environmental problems and 2 million for drug abuse.

It’s part of a wider 50-million-euro effort to help Iran cope with economic and social challenges.

The EU considers the nuclear deal vital for global security. It’s tried to keep the agreement alive since President Donald Trump

Man kills mother and sister in knife attack near Paris
More on yesterday’s story about taxi driver Kamel Salhi.
[DAWN] A man armed with a knife killed his mother and sister, and seriously injured another person in a town near Gay Paree on Thursday, officials said.

The man, who police said had been on a terror watch list since 2016, was later shot and killed after confronting police in Trappes.

The motive for the violence remains unclear, but the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group claimed the attack via its propaganda channel.

Experts urge caution about the group's announcements, however, because it has lost credibility after recently claiming seemingly unrelated violence as it faces defeat on the battlefield in the Middle East.

The French interior minister said the man had "serious psychiatric problems".

Gerard Collomb said the attack is not being treated as a terrorist case for the moment, despite the claim of responsibility by the Islamic State group.

The minister said the third person who was maimed was not a member of the family, adding that the police shot and killed the man after he came out of his mother’s house wielding a knife and ignored their warnings.

Maryland Democrat Ben Jealous' Twitter account 'liked' anti-police tweet mocking #BlueLivesMatter
[BALTIMORESUN] The campaign of Ben Jealous removed a "like" this week by its Twitter account of a six-month-old tweet that characterized corrupt coppers in vulgar terms and mocked #BlueLivesMatter.

A front man for the Democratic candidate for Maryland governor said the "like" by @BenJealous was an "accident" by a staffer and that the former president of the NAACP "disavowed" it.

"This tweet was not liked by Ben and certainly doesn’t reflect his views on law enforcement," Jealous campaign front man Kevin Harris said. "As Ben has said on several occasions, he values and respects law enforcement, including the several members of his own family who have worn the badge or are currently serving."

But Republican Gov. Larry Hogan’s campaign seized on the issue Thursday, the same day it announced that the statewide Fraternal Order of Police has endorsed his re-election bid.

"This sort of vulgar and divisive
...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled...
rhetoric is beyond troubling; it’s dangerous," Hogan campaign front man Doug Mayer said in an email to The Baltimore Sun. "It’s outrageously unbecoming for a candidate for governor and an insult to the brave men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line every single day. Ben Jealous owes the law enforcement community an apology."

Rudy Giuliani: Impeaching Trump would mean 'people's revolt'
[SkyNews] President's lawyer claimed there was "no reason" for impeachment and says Trump has been "vindicated" by Michael Cohen's account.

Donald Trump's lawyer has said "the American people would revolt" if the president was impeached.

In an interview with Sky News Rudy Giuliani claimed there was "no reason" for an impeachment and called Mr Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen "a liar".

"You could only impeach [Trump] for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that," he said.

Cohen admitted on Tuesday to paying hush money to a porn actress and a model at the request of a "candidate" - revealed by his lawyer to be Donald Trump - in order to influence the 2016 US election campaign.

His lawyer says it is "absolutely clear that Donald Trump committed a felony" in the run-up to the election, and the developments have heightened speculation that the president could be impeached.

Mr Giuliani, however, said he believed Mr Trump has been "completely cleared" by Cohen's testimony, saying it was "inevitable" that he would not be impeached.

"You have this Cohen guy, he doesn't know anything about Russian collusion, he doesn't know anything about obstruction, he's a massive liar," he said.

Mr Giuliani, former mayor of New York, spoke to Sky News during a golfing trip at Balmedie on the Aberdeenshire coast, a course owned by Mr Trump.

However,

IDF: Gaza sniper worked for Doctors Without Borders
[Ynet] Israel seeking explanation from international aid group after learning that the terrorist who shot up IDF soldiers on Monday and was killed worked as a nurse for Doctors Without Borders.

The Paleostinian terrorist who shot up IDF soldiers earlier this week and killed when they returned fire was a nurse working for Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), the IDF said on Thursday, adding it was seeking an explanation from the international aid group.

The IDF named the Paleostinian as Hani Majdalawi
...alternatively Hani al-Majdalawi...
and said he was rubbed out on Monday after shooting and throwing a grenade at soldiers.

"We have reached out to Doctors without Borders for clarification regarding the matter," an IDF front man said.

The organization did not immediately reply to phone and email queries by Rooters. Its website says that the group runs three burns and trauma centres in Gazoo, whose Islamist Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, rulers have fought three wars against Israel in the last decade.

Gazoo authorities did not confirm Majdalawi's death, saying that would require having his body, which they believed was being held by Israel. The IDF said they could not immediately confirm this.

No Paleostinian terror factions claimed Majdalawi as a member.

Responding to Israeli media reports on Majdalawi's killing, his brother, Osama, described the married 28 year old on Facebook as a "martyr" who had "bought the weapon with his own money" and acted "completely independently."

The Facebook post said Hani Majdalawi had worked for Doctors Without Borders and that he had been "the most socially, psychologically and economically stable among his brothers."

British Airways, Air France suspend flights to and from Tehran
[ARABNEWS] British Airways and Air La Belle France on Thursday said they would suspend flights to Tehran from next month for commercial reasons, as US sanctions against Iran start to bite.

"We are suspending our London to Tehran service as the operation is currently not commercially viable," BA said.

The last outbound flight to Tehran will be on Sept. 22, and the last inbound flight from Tehran will be on Sept. 23, it added.

The airline said the decision had nothing to do with US President Donald Trump

Air La Belle France, which had run connections to the Iranian capital via its low-cost operator Joon, told AFP it would axe the route on Sept. 18, blaming "poor commercial viability."

The French carrier had already cut down on its Gay Paree to Tehran connections from three a week to just one earlier this month.

Dutch carrier KLM, part of the same group as Air La Belle France, said last month that it was also suspending Tehran flights due to "negative results and financial outlook."

Libya refuses to take migrants rejected by Italy
[AlAhram] Libya has refused to take in a group of 177 migrants colonists stranded on an Italian coastguard boat off a Sicilian port after Rome insisted they would not be allowed to disembark.

Italia's Interior Minister Matteo Salvini threatened earlier this week to return the migrants colonists to the North African country unless other European governments offered to take some of them in.

But Mohammed Siala, foreign minister of the UN-backed Libyan unity government, said that "Libya does not accept this unjust and illegal measure because it already has more than 700,000 migrants colonists" on its territory.

In a statement late Wednesday, he called on the international community "to put pressure on the countries of departure to repatriate their nationals", adding that Libya had only served as a transit point.

Twin typhoons threaten northern Asia
[Al Jazeera] Japan and South Korea are bracing for two typhoons expected to hit on Thursday.

The two storms, the 20th and 21st named storms of the West Pacific Typhoon Season, are still strengthening as they head north.

Typhoon Soulik is expected to reach the Korean Peninsula after skirting around Japan's southern island of Kyushu.

When it makes landfall it is forecast to have winds gusting up to 200 kilometres per hour. Torrential rain is likely to cause flooding and a storm surge threatens to trigger coastal flooding.

Soulik will then begin to disintegrate as it heads across North Korea, a country with chronic economic problems that lacks the resources to cope with severe weather. It is likely North Korea will fare worse from this storm than its neighbour to the south.

Meanwhile, another storm named Cimaron has developed within the last 24 hours. Cimaron is currently a tropical storm with winds gusting to 90 km/h.

The storm is currently strengthening and by the time it makes landfall in Japan's central Honshu it is expected a typhoon with winds gusting over 165 km/h.

[AlAhram] Britannia has published 25 so-called technical notices advising companies and people how to prepare for any disruption that might arise from a disorderly Brexit where there is no deal with the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
.
Below are the highlights:

TRADE
- The free circulation of goods between the UK and EU will cease if Britannia leaves the EU with no deal.

- Companies trading with Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
would face new paperwork to cover customs and safety declarations.

- Businesses would also have to apply the same customs and excise rules to goods moving between Britannia and the EU as they currently apply when trading with a country outside the EU. Value Added Tax (VAT) could also have to be paid up front, potentially affecting cash flow.

TARIFFS
- Britannia would introduce new, baseline import tariffs and rules-of-origin requirements for trade with World Trade Organisation member countries. In the event of a no-deal Brexit, they would apply to EU countries too.

- The tariffs could differ from those the EU applies to imports from outside the bloc.

- The paper reiterated that Britannia intended to continue offering unilateral trade preferences to developing countries and would seek to replicate all the EU's free trade deals with countries around the world to avoid disruption for exporters.

FINANCIAL SERVICES
- Britons will have to pay more to make card payments in the European Union and businesses on the continent could be cut off from investment banks in London if there is a no-deal Brexit.

- In contingency planning for financial services, the government said it would take unilateral action on several fronts to minimise disruption.

STATE AID
- Britannia will create a UK-wide subsidy control framework to ensure the continuing control of anti-competitive subsidies.

- Under the European Union (Withdrawal) act, EU state aid rules will be transposed into UK domestic legislation.

- This will apply to all sectors and will mirror existing block exemptions as allowed under current rules, including the Agricultural Block Exemption Regulation, and the Fisheries Block Exemption Regulation.

- The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) will take on the role of enforcement and supervision for the whole of the UK.

PHARMACEUTICALS
- Britannia will have its own system to regulate human drugs and medical devices.

- Companies will have to submit regulatory information on drugs, medical devices and e-cigarettes directly to the UK's Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

- UK will continue to accept batch testing of medicines carried out in EU countries.

- EU blood directives will no longer apply to the UK. The government is working to ensure blood safety and quality from day one.

NUCLEAR
- A new UK nuclear safeguards regime will come into force run by Britannia's Office for Nuclear Regulation.

- All operators in the UK civil nuclear sector will need to comply with new safeguards regime.

- Euratom ownership of special fissure material in the UK will end, operators will have full ownership.

#1  Where you see "no-deal" it's establishment (i.e globalist remainiac) MSM bullshit.

It's WTO deal. UK-EUSSR trade reverts to WTO rules, which is probably THE best deal.

#2  BTW Euratom is separate from the EUSSR and also includes non EUSSR Switzerland.
