Author of Report Critical of Transgender 'Medicine' Facing Security Threats
[Breitbart] The author of a major report detailing the dangers transgender healthcare practices pose to children said that she had been told to avoid public transport amid security concerns.

Dr Hillary Cass, the former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, told The Times of London that she is facing abuse and threats following the publication of her report on the impact of transgender ‘medicine’ has on children in Britain.

“I’m not going on public transport at the moment, following security advice, which is inconvenient,” Dr Cass said.

She went on to accuse many of her critics of spreading “misinformation” about the damning report, including from left-wing Labour MP Dawn Butler, who had asserted in the House of Commons that “over 100 studies have not been in this Cass report”.

Cass said that Butler’s claim was “completely wrong, explaining that the list of studies cited by Butler had “absolutely nothing to do with either our report or any of the papers.”

“If you deliberately try to undermine a report that has looked at the evidence of children’s healthcare, then that’s unforgivable. You are putting children at risk by doing that,” she added.

In her 388-page report, the top paediatrician riled the far-left by claiming that transgender medical practices were “built on shaky foundations” and that the National Health Service should no longer provide those under the age of 18 with puberty-blocking drugs.

In contrast to the radical left’s position, which demands so-called “gender-affirming care” in which life-altering medications and surgeries are plied on youngsters, Cass said that there was little evidence to support the claim that puberty-blocking drugs helped children with their “mental or psychosocial health”, while the long-term effects of such treatment on “cognitive and psychosexual development” have not been thoroughly explored.

The report also noted that many children naturally grow out of experiencing a transgender identity, saying that “for most young people, a medical pathway will not be the best way to manage their gender-related distress” and therefore medical professionals should exercise “extreme caution” in how they treat children with symptoms of gender dysphoria.

The UK’s National Health Service said last month that it would stop routinely providing puberty blockers to children in most cases. However, there are concerns about loopholes through which activist physicians could still provide the life-altering drugs to children.

Health Secretary Victoria Atkins said this week that the government will look to fire any medical professionals who seek to subvert the rules, saying: “I am looking closely at closing, what can be done to curtail any loopholes and prescribing practices, including legislative options. Nothing is off the table and I will update the House in due course.”

Texas lawman final exam
Subject: Texas lawman final exam

A young Texan grew up wanting to be a lawman. He grew up big - 6' 2", strong as a longhorn, and fast as a mustang. He could shoot a bottle cap tossed in the air at 40 paces.

When he finally came of age, he applied to where he had only dreamed of working: the West Texas Sheriff's Department.

After a series of tests and interviews, the Chief Deputy finally called him into his office for the young man's last interview.

The Chief Deputy said: "You're a big strong kid and you can really shoot. So far your qualifications all look good, but we have, what you might call, an ‘Attitude Suitability Test’ that you must take before you can be accepted. We just don't let anyone carry our badge, son.”

Then, sliding a .40 Caliber Sig Sauer P-229 service pistol and a box of ammo across the desk, the Chief said, "Take this pistol and go out and shoot: one illegal alien, one lawyer, one meth dealer, one pedophile, one Muslim extremist, one Progressive Activist Democrat, and a rabbit."

"Why the rabbit?" queried the applicant.

"You pass," said the Chief Deputy. "When can you start?"

#1  A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas , and talked with an old rancher.
He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs."
The rancher said, "Okay , but don't go in that field over there.", as he pointed out the location.
The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me !" Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish.... On any land! No questions asked! Do you understand ?!!" The rancher nodded politely, apologized, and went about his chores. A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull...... With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. The rancher threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs..... "Your badge, show him your BADGE!!"

Africa North
New crisis unfolds in Africa three years after Biden's Afghanistan debacle
Niger, of course. I s’pose we should be grateful there isn’t another new crisis in Africa in Biden’s watch.
[JustTheNews] Most of the troops are stationed at a U.S. airbase that is less than a decade old and is valued at $110 million and costs about $1 million a month to run.

Nearly three years after the heavily criticized U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration is facing another security crisis involving U.S. troops, only this time, it is unfolding in Africa under the growing influence of Russia, Iran and China.

The Biden administration on Friday announced it would withdraw more than 1,000 U.S. military personnel from Niger over the coming months in a move that is expected to disrupt regional counterterrorism operations. The decision came the same week that Russian paramilitary officials arrived in the country and a whistleblower report was released detailing the dire conditions facing the U.S. troops.

Niger said last month that it would no longer participate in a military cooperation deal with the United States after a junta in the country last year left U.S. service members largely inactive, according to The New York Times.

The U.S. and Niger have begun discussions regarding "the orderly withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country," an American defense official told Fox News Digital over the weekend.

Many of the American service members in Niger are stationed at U.S. Air Base 201, which is less than a decade old and is valued at $110 million. Since the junta, which saw the ousting of Niger's democratically-elected President Mohamed Bazoum, troops there have mostly focused on flying surveillance drones on missions to protect the base.

Terrorism poses a serious problem for Niger. In 2022, the most recent year for which the U.S. State Department has published a terrorism report for Niger, the country saw at least 180 terrorist attacks. Multiple terrorist groups are active in Niger, including Boko Haram, at least two Islamic State affiliates and one al-Qaida affiliate.

The administration's announcement Friday about the withdrawal came two days after Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz announced on the House floor that his office composed an interim whistleblower report about what he called a "cover-up" that "exists to conceal the humiliating failures of the Biden administration in Niger, throughout Africa and throughout the world."

He said that the Biden administration left 1,100 U.S. troops "functionally stranded" in Niger, where they have been "pleading for help," as they have been unable to receive potable water, medical care and other basic supplies. However, the U.S. Embassy in Niger has been blocking reports about the dire conditions, Gaetz also said.

Despite this reported lack of basic supplies and military activities at the base, operations there still cost U.S. taxpayers $1 million a month, per the Gaetz report.

The 100 Russian officials who arrived in Niger last week were part of the Africa Corps, a paramilitary group intended to replace the mercenary organization known as the Wagner Group, according to Russia’s state-owned news outlet RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, Niger also appears to be cozying up to Iran. The Wall Street Journal reported last month that Niger is reportedly exploring a secret deal that would allow Iran to access its uranium reserves to help the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

China also appears to be strengthening ties with Niger. Last week, the Chinese Embassy in Niger announced that the two countries signed a "series of oil cooperation agreements."

#3  A smart operator would invite the Russians to take up concurrent occupancy at the base, make them familiar with the security arrangements, and use then as a rear-guard to cover the orderly withdrawal of the last US Troops and aircraft! Why not be straightforward about it, since that is the endgame that will happen in any event?

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Why does the West need 'decolonization' of Russia?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
by Gevorg Mirzayan

[REGNUM] Russia must be decolonized. This demand was recently voiced by the authoritative, at least in its own eyes, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. During the period of Russian membership in PACE, the favorite pastime of the organization, created for dialogue between East and West, to find common denominators and mutually respectful communication, was to criticize Moscow for all its sins and then listen to the excuses of Russian officials in the hall. And when Moscow left the Council of Europe after the start of the Central Military District, PACE seemed to have lost its reason for existence. However, the deputies did not despair and began to criticize Russia in absentia.

2024 will be 'toughest' labor market 'in our lifetime': Report
[FoxBusness] RedBalloon CEO Andrew Crapushettes said 'a lot of different factors' are to blame for difficult market in a Fox News Digital exclusive

An "alarming" new study on the future of the labor market puts a spotlight on the lack of employees and a rise in workplace litigation this year.

"The report talks about how 2024, we believe, is going to be one of the most challenging years in the labor market in our lifetime," RedBalloon CEO Andrew Crapuchettes said in a Fox News Digital exclusive.

"There's a lot of different factors that are driving that. We see population decline. We see baby boomers retiring. We see a Gen Z workforce that is coming in and not doing productive things in the workplace… The thing that I think is the most alarming fact, though, in the entire report, and one of our big findings was the amount of litigation that's happening in the American workplace today."

RedBalloon's report "2024: The Toughest Labor Market," released Monday, breaks down the factors contributing to the challenging road ahead, but also provides employees with a possible solution.

"To summarize the situation employers face: there are less people overall, fewer working-aged people willing to work, more retirements, a higher number of jobseekers with mental health challenges, and an explosion in labor-related lawsuits against employers," the report says.

One of the predominate factors is the evolving employable demographic. The study notes a decline in population growth is paired with an increasing number of boomers retiring, leaving the labor force to rely on more millennials and Gen Z.

The study observed, however, that there are seven million working-aged men who should be "leading in the labor market" but are unemployed or not actively looking for employment, leaving a "huge hole."

placeholder
"[Working-age men] should be leading in the labor market," Crapuchettes said. "They should be helping the Gen Zers… Working age men, 25 to 65, those are people who should be engaged in labor market and leading in their economies, in their businesses, in their communities. And unfortunately, we're seeing that a lot of them are not engaged in the labor market."

Gen Z workers present new issues for employers.

"Part of that is they've grown up on social media. Forbes believes that the average Gen Z spends four hours a day on social media, and that just gives you a distorted view of reality. And then many of them have gone off to university and also gotten a distorted view of reality, because those universities are not focused on meritocracy in the way that you really have… to be successful in the workplace," Crapuchettes argued.

The study explained the Gen Z labor force is increasingly defined by job hopping, mental health challenges and voluntary sidelining.

A March 2024 survey by RedBalloon found that of business owners in the study, 68% said Gen Zers are the "least reliable" employees and 64% said Gen Zers are likely to cause division and toxicity in the workplace.

#5  ...My employers - demanding, tough, and absolutely looking out for me and taking care of me for the last 16 years -know full well that on April 15, 2027, I will be retiring. I'm lucky; between SSI, USAF pension, and my 401k, TRICARE/Medicare, I'll be fine - no world cruises, but fine. There have been a few discreet questions about me staying on past that, but it's not happening. I've been working since my 13th birthday and if I have anything to say about it, it's time to throttle back.

And quite honestly, if it's earlier it won't be because of the job proper or my coworkers, it'll be because of my customers. They are - and I do not exaggerate - getting worse on a daily basis. I spend a disturbing amount of time saving them from themselves, and at least one or two are still in business only because of our efforts to bail them out. I can only imagine the horrors of actually working there.

He attempted to portray Biden as someone who supports American values. A majority of Americans would disagree.

"People understand that it’s Joe Biden that stands for American values," Pritzker said.

Olde Tyme Religion
Voices For a Return to God
[American Thinker] The need for a return to God is clearly evident in today’s deranged and dysfunctional world. It is a need, exceeding all others, that must be fulfilled in order to keep enemies of God from interfering with human life. Among them are men and women with top-heavy egos that make them apply their strength of mind and depth of soul to outplay the Creator instead of growing in wisdom.

To the charge that raising voices against the excess of human tragedy in today’s world for having dismissed God is "irrational," my response must be that intellectuals of that persuasion, having lost their way to the truth, continue to omit from their thinking an essential reality. Expressed succinctly, it is that at the root of every knowledge — the basic assumptions and "givens" — is an "X" that can never be solved, ultimately requiring a leap of faith in order to proceed in any direction.

In his writings and lectures, mathematician and philosopher Jacob Bronowski made clear to fellow scientists and laymen that all rational systems, including mathematics and physics, have inescapable and permanent dead ends, beyond which it is impossible to proceed.

An overview of Jacob Bronowski’s Ascent of Man tells us that "we have to cure ourselves of the itch for absolute knowledge and power," in sync with the button-pushing ease of modern times and the de facto anti-human activity of amoral elites who consistently fail to touch people.

The voices calling for this urgent need are many; Here are a few:
