Louisville Bank Shooting'5 Dead 8 Injured Including 2 Police Officers
[MSN] At least six others, including a police officer, were transferred to a local hospital, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. Police said by midmorning the suspected shooter had been "neutralized."

Paul Humphrey, deputy chief of the police department, said officers arrived at the scene shortly after a report of shots fired and a possible active shooter at around 8:30 a.m. local time at Old National Bank, a regional bank located along the 300 block of East Main Street. Active gunfire continued inside the building as officers arrived, Mr. Humphrey said. The bank’s lobby wasn’t scheduled to open until 9 a.m., according to its website.

The shooter was declared dead at the scene. Mr. Humphrey said police "do not know exactly the circumstances of his death."

Mr. Humphrey said there was no danger to the public. "This is an ongoing investigation," he said.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said earlier Monday he was heading to Louisville after police confirmed the shooting.

"Please pray for all of the families impacted and for the city of Louisville," he said in a tweet.

Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg told residents to avoid the area near Louisville Slugger Field, citing the active police situation.

"We will provide information as soon as possible," he said in a tweet.

UPDATE! Second shooting near community college, no info yet. LMPD says there is no active shooter at this time but that there was a shooting outside, and the suspects fled before officers could get there.

There is no word on any victims in that shooting at this time.

WLKY has a crew on that scene. Police have made no connection to the earlier deadly shooting at the Old National Bank at this time.

This story will be updated.

There is NO active aggressor at JCTC at 8th Chestnut streets.

We are confirming that there was a shooting outside, and the suspects fled prior to police arrival.

Update at 8 p.m. ET from the link at Deacon Blue’s link, below in comments:

Prominent imam stabbed in back as he led Sunday morning prayers in Paterson, NJ
[NYPOST] A prominent imam was stabbed in the back while leading prayers at a mosque in Paterson, New Jersey on Sunday morning.

The imam, Sayed Elnakib, was beginning his service at the Omar Mosque on Getty Avenue in South Paterson when an unknown assailant stabbed him twice at around 6 a.m., according to The Record.

The attacker was quickly restrained by other worshippers at the service. Elnakib was taken to nearby St. Joseph’s Medical Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

About 200 people were at the service, which had just begun.

Police have not released the suspect’s name. It was not immediately clear what the motive was for the attack.

Authorities said the attacker was not a member of the mosque but had prayed there before, according to News12 New Jersey.

The mosque will increase security but remain open.

Paterson police officials said they expect the attacker to be charged later on Sunday.

The city’s mayor, Andre Sayegh, told The Record that he visited the imam in the hospital and appreciated “the immediate apprehension of his assailant.”

Councilman Al Abdelaziz, who represents the neighborhood in which the attack happened, told the newspaper that the community must “come together to support one another and denounce all forms of hate and violence.”
Update from the Daily Voice at 9:30 a.m. ET, which has a photo of the carefully groomed miscreant at the link:
Sayed Elnakib was leading an early morning prayer service at the Omar Mosque in Paterson on Sunday when a man among the worshippers suddenly rushed forward and stabbed the beloved imam, surveillance video shows.

The assailant, 32-year-old Serif Zorba, turned and bolted for the door, but the worshippers -- without regard for their own safety -- quickly converged on the assailant and held him for police.

Elnakib, 65, sustained liver damage, a mosque spokesperson said, but he was expected to survive after being rushed into surgery at nearby St. Joseph's University Medical Center following the 5:30 a.m. April 9 attack.

'Portland rioter sentenced for killing infant son while on probation for assaulting federal worker
[JustTheNews] A Portland rioter was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for causing the death of his infant son while he was on probation for assaulting a federal officer in 2020, officials announced.

A Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge sentenced Dakota Kurtis Means to 150 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter and one count of first-degree criminal mistreatment, District Attorney Mike Schmidt said Friday.

The guilty pleas are in connection to the April 2021 death of Means' 6-week-old son, Hunter Means. He was also charged with second-degree murder and first-degree assault, but those charges appear to have been dropped, per court records.

When Means was 20, he was charged with "forcibly assaulting, impeding, and intimidating a federal employee" near a U.S. courthouse in August 2020, according to the Justice Department.

Prosecutors said Means allegedly yelled obscenities as he followed an employee walking to work around 5:30 a.m. Means was carrying a black paintball rifle and yelled at the employee, "it’s a paintball gun now, but it’s going to be an AR later," in reference to an AR-15 rifle, according to officials.

Means pleaded guilty in October 2020 to one assault count and served 60 days in custody. He was sentenced to time served and received a year of probation in January 2021, when his wife was pregnant with their second child, according to Oregon Live.

Means' son, Hunter, died on June 23, 2021, after he permanently lost brain function from a brain hemorrhage and a skull fracture on April 17, 2021.

Means' wife had told investigators that he had been "really physically violent" to her and said he "treats me like an animal," according to court documents. Prosecutors also said that the couple's one-year-old son showed evidence of healing rib fractures.

Bodies of Lotus drummer, son found 24 days after Arkansas kayaking trip
I seen dat movie. It had Burt Reynolds in it.
[NYPOST] The bodies of Lotus percussionist Chuck Morris and his son, Charley, were found 24 days after the pair disappeared during a kayaking trip in Arkansas, authorities said Sunday.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office began its search for the 47-year-old member of the electronic jam band and his 20-year-old son when they were first reported missing on March 16, the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.

On Saturday, the Christian Aid Ministries Search and Rescue Team, based out of Tennessee, joined the search efforts.

Rescue workers utilized remote-operated underwater ROV vehicles in "a challenging environment that exceeded depths of 180" feet, officials said. The complicated recovery mission came to its grim conclusion Sunday.

"Our family was informed by the Benton County Sheriff’s Office that Charley Morris has been found. We have concluded the cause of his death was drowning," the family wrote in a statement shared to Lotus’ Instagram account before the sheriff’s office also announced Chuck’s body had also been found.

"Sheriff Holloway, along with the family of Chuck and Charley, would like to thank all the men and women who donated their time and efforts to help bring closure to the family and recover the two missing men," the sheriff’s office said.

Lotus’ Twitter account delivered the devastating news last month that the search and rescue effort was being considered a recovery mission, adding that a K-9 team has been deployed to help find them.

"We were all hoping for a miracle, but at this point, the search for Chuck & Charley has moved to a recovery," the stark announcement read from the band, which was formed in Indiana in 1999 and released more than a dozen records on various labels.

'Lake Tulare which disappeared before 1900 has reappeared
[NBCnews] The Tulare Basin is at the southern end of California's San Joaquin Valley; and in essence, it's a massive bowl. Before irrigators dug canals and rerouted water for farming in the late 1800s, Tulare Lake filled the bowl"s lower reaches. Shallow water stretched across the landscape, and the lake was the largest body of freshwater west of the Mississippi.

Months of atmospheric river storms have pummeled the area and saturated the basin’s soil... The rains ...have begun to refill what was once a sprawling lake.

Tulare Lake refilled in 1997 and 1983 during very wet seasons. The snowpack is larger this year.

"If we use 1983 as an example: They had more than 80,000 acres of land underwater. If it's bigger than that, it could be as much as 100,000 acres underwater," Mount said.
I always wondered where that little booger got to.

Police-Shooting-In-Farmington
[via CFP] Shortly before midnight Wednesday, police officers responded to the wrong house during an investigation of a reported domestic abuse. They were called to 5308 Valley View Ave., but ended up at 5305 Valley View Ave., where Dotson lived with his family.

When Dotson answered the door with a firearm in hand, "officers fired at least one round from their duty weapon(s), striking Mr. Dotson," according to a New Mexico State Police investigation. Dotson died at the scene.
So the take-away is:
- if they see you with a gun they can shoot you
- even if you're in your own home
- and you have the right to "keeep and bear" firearms

Merchandiser Claims No One is Buying Anheuser-Busch Products (VIDEO)
[Gateway] In a video that is going viral on Twitter, a merchandiser and Anheuser-Busch affiliate claims that no one is buying the products and his business is suffering as a result.

In the video he says he has never seen so little sales as in the last few days. He laments the fact that when people don’t buy the beer, he doesn’t make money and can’t feed his family.

It’s sad that this man is going through this, but it’s the fault of Anheuser-Busch for featuring trans performer Dylan Mulvaney.

#11  Anheuser-Busch is no longer an american beer company. It's part of Global Conglomerate which has lost touch with the American shitty rice beer Market which could care less about inclusivity. If Budweiser wants to be the Pride Beer, good luck! \

Every time I see one of my redneck friends drinking a Bud, I ask if he is starting his transition. Ha! Rednecks love being bundled in with the gay.

Obviously another data point that the people running these global companies could give two shits about the brand, and are tone deaf to the consumers who formerly consumed said products.

Hope I am alive to see Woke Brands go the way of WorldCom and Enron.

General Mark Milley Is Retiring. Meet The Contenders To Replace Him As Biden's Top Adviser On Military Affairs
BLUF. Much more at the link.
[dailycaller] Air Force chief of staff Gen. Charles Q. "C.Q." Brown and Marine Corps commandant Gen. David Berger have emerged as the top contenders to replace Gen. Mark Milley as President Joe Biden’s top adviser on military issues after Milley’s retirement in October.

The Biden administration’s perception of China’s military designs will dictate his decision more than anything else, experts said.

"I think General Berger would be more unflappable but that General Brown might be more inspirational," Patrick Cronin, Asia-Pacific security chair at Hudson Institute, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Both contenders to replace Gen. Mark Milley as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff later this year are focused on change to counter China, but one is prone to radical changes while the other affirms the administration’s ideological priorities, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

With Milley, a Trump appointee, set to retire by October, President Joe Biden is expected to announce his pick to replace the outgoing Army four-star soon between top prospects Air Force chief of staff Gen. Charles Q. "C.Q." Brown and Marine Corps commandant Gen. David Berger, according to The New York Times. Both would differ from Milley’s gregarious leadership style, but while Brown has experience in a key area of operations and satisfies the Biden administration’s focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in public service, Berger has shown the grit to make radical, if difficult, changes necessary for coming great power conflict, according to defense experts and media reports.

"As the symbol of the U.S. armed forces amid the ebb and flow of political tides, I think General Berger would be more unflappable but that General Brown might be more inspirational," Patrick Cronin, Asia-Pacific security chair at Hudson Institute, told the DCNF.

Brown, a fighter pilot and the first African American to serve among the Joint Chiefs since Colin Powell became chairman three decades ago, is at the forefront of the race, the NYT reported, citing administration officials.

Brown’s colleagues told the NYT he has seen success in dealing with threats and allies in the Pacific, and has a methodical approach.

Berger, on the other hand, is a Marine infantryman and four-star general with more experience in the Middle East. But under his leadership, the Marine Corps has embarked on a massive restructuring that ruffled feathers across the joint force and, according to Berger, will make the force better positioned to address challenges specific to the Indo-Pacific theater.

The Joint Chiefs chairman is "the foremost military advisor in the land, preparing American personnel and capabilities for conflict should deterrence fail" and instilling fear in potential adversaries, Cronin explained to the DCNF.

Joint Chiefs chairmen typically rotate through the services; the last time an Air Force member filled the post was in 2005, while two Marines, two Army generals and a Navy admiral have served since, according to the NYT.

Both men must make it through the Senate for confirmation.

#6  Size is another concern among those critical of Berger’s strategy.
“I think they have several concerns. One is that the Marine Corps’s getting smaller and will be challenged to meet its global commitments. One is that the structure is too focused on the western Pacific and the Marine Corps will not be able to participate effectively in operations in other areas,” Mark Cancian, a retired Marine Corps colonel who is a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, previously told USNI News of the officers’ concerns.

More about the Left's New Soros: Swiss Billionaire Hansjörg Wyss Becomes Democrat Mega-Donor with Millions Funneled to Left-Wing Groups
[Breitbart] Billionaire Hansjörg Wyss, a Swiss national who lives in Wyoming, has become a "Democrat-aligned mega-donor," according to the Associated Press (AP), thanks to his funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to left-wing groups.

"Newly available tax documents show that his giving through the Berger Action Fund, which describes itself as advocating for ’solutions to some of our world’s biggest problems,’ swelled in 2021 to $72 million, cementing Wyss’ status as a Democratic-aligned megadonor," the AP reports.

Wyss, who built his fortune creating the medical device company Synthes USA, which was sold in 2012 to Johnson & Johnson for $20 billion, has routed nearly $340 million through the Berger Action Fund to left-wing organizations like Sixteen Thirty Fund and the New Venture Fund since 2016.

Both groups have worked to build support for President Joe Biden’s agenda.

Specifically, Sixteen Thirty Fund is a left-wing lobbying organization that promotes “equity and racial justice” as well as universal healthcare and climate change legislation. The Sixteen Thirty Fund also shifts money to left-wing political organizations like the scandal-plagued Lincoln Project and the pro-Biden group Unite the Country.

As Politico reported in 2021, the group spent $410 million in the 2020 presidential election to unseat then-President Donald Trump and win Democrats a Senate majority with ad campaigns and a huge get-out-the-vote effort. Since 2016, Wyss has donated $208 million to the Sixteen Thirty Fund.

Politico reported:

The Sixteen Thirty Fund’s multi-million dollar grants singlehandedly powered some other organizations on the left, and it also incubated other groups, as a “fiscal sponsor,” that fought against Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, backed liberal ballot measures and policy proposals in different states and organized opposition to Republican tax and health care policies. [Emphasis added]

Its massive 2020 fundraising and spending illustrates the extent to which the left embraced the use of “dark money” to fight for its causes in recent years. After decrying big-money Republican donors over the last decade, as well as the Supreme Court rulings that flooded politics with more cash, Democrats now benefit from hundreds of millions of dollars of undisclosed donations as well. [Emphasis added]

Meanwhile, the New Venture Fund, which has received almost $40 million in donations from Wyss since 2016, centers its nonprofit work around the tenants of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

To return the power of the election to the Local Voters, for true representation. Instead of deep pocket elites?

No donations can be accepted from any NON-US Citizen. No SIG's, companies, Mega Donors, Media donated coverage, non-district / out of state persons, or non-local Political Party donations.

With a cap of $500 per voter registered US Citizen person, per election voting cycle.

#4  Anyone who honestly thinks an actual majority of the America people voted for Joe Biden in number greater than the vote for Obama is delusional. A range of foreign money fed an array of voter fraud and voter suppression tactics in 2020, 2022 and will be amped up in 2024. Paper ballots, genuine voter ID and same-day voting are the last chance we have to salvage what is left of the Republic.

I'm pretty sure my chances of getting a pony and an autographed Sammy Baugh football are greater!

Chinese tech companies are exploiting US green energy goals, former State Department officials warn
[FoxNews] 'Subnational incursions are afoot. China is on the hunt,' former US ambassador tells Fox News Digital

Two former U.S. ambassadors are sounding the alarm on the increasing number of green energy projects nationwide being developed with the involvement of Chinese companies.

Former U.S. Ambassadors Peter Hoekstra and Joseph Cella said Chinese companies, which are subject to strict Chinese laws, have made a concerted effort to take advantage of U.S. green energy goals. The companies, they said, are exploiting American tax incentives to build facilities and projects in the U.S., bolstering Chinese industry and ensuring continued U.S. reliance on technology from China.

"It'd be very ironic if we moved towards electric vehicles to the numbers that the Biden administration is talking about and the key component comes from China," Hoekstra, who served as U.S. ambassador to the Netherlands from 2018 until 2021, told Fox News Digital in an interview. "That is a terrible, terrible place to be."

"Right now electric vehicle sales are about 3 to 5% of new automobile sales," he continued. "Now is the time for the U.S. to establish its own capabilities rather than increasing reliance on an unreliable and a threatening adversary."

San Francisco Circling the Drain?
Unexpectedly.
[Epoch Times] The San Francisco Chronicle’s editorial board issued a warning this week that office workers staying home to work rather than commuting to the city will spark a "doom loop" that will erode its tax base.

"Experts say post-pandemic woes stemming from office workers staying home instead of commuting into the city could send San Francisco into a ’doom loop’ that would gut its tax base, decimate fare-reliant regional transit systems like BART and trap it in an economic death spiral," the paper’s editorial board wrote, specifically referring to downtown San Francisco.

"Despite our housing crisis, it was years into the COVID pandemic before our leaders meaningfully questioned the logic of reserving some of the most prized real estate on Earth for fickle suburbanites and their cars," the editorial also said. "And so we wasted generous federal COVID emergency funds trying to bludgeon, cajole, and pray for office workers to return downtown instead of planning for change. We’re now staring down the consequences for that lack of vision."

The Chronicle’s editorial board suggested making more investments into office-to-housing conversions. It also recommended that some office buildings be demolished to make way for new projects, but it said that such moves would require assistance from the California state government.

IRS Chief Reveals plan for hiring over 3 Army Divisions of new Agents
[ET via ZERO] IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel on Thursday provided details about plans to hire armed agents in the agency’s criminal investigations division, amid Republican concerns about a proliferation of gun-toting tax enforcers.

Werfel said in a call with reporters that the share of staff working in the IRS Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) unit would not climb above the current level of around 2.6 percent of the IRS’s overall workforce.

There are "no plans to increase" the hiring rate at the IRS-CI unit, Werfel said on the call. "That will stay at its current rate."

The IRS-CI examines potential criminal activity related to tax crimes and makes recommendations for prosecution to the tax division of the Department of Justice. Agents at the criminal investigations division are authorized to carry guns and use lethal force.

Dubbed "gun-toters," the armed special agents in the unit are responsible for enforcing those parts of the tax code in which violations amount to crimes, according to former IRS Special Agent Robert Nordlander.

According to the IRS-CI’s annual report (pdf), there were roughly 2,077 special agents in the criminal investigations unit as of the 2022 budget year, which represents around 2.6 percent of the IRS’s entire workforce.

The IRS employed 80,006 full time staffers as of the 2022 budget year, according to the agency’s strategic operating plan released on April 6.

Trump Gets Standing Ovation at UFC, Jorge Masvidal Leads 'Let's Go, Brandon' Chant
[RedState] Democrats likely thought that if they went after former President Donald Trump, it would move Americans away from him. It may have had the opposite effect. It seems to have shown people more than ever the battle we face from people who are politicizing our system to take out their political opponents. Americans are rallying behind Trump.

Trump has received a huge influx of donations — as of Saturday, it was more than $12 million — and as we’ve reported the polls have shown him taking a massive lead over his next closest Republican competitor, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has not formally declared his intention to run. Trump has also released an ad encompassing the effort to get him and showing him walking into the Manhattan courthouse last week.

Pastor spends Easter in jail after another arrest at [Canadian] drag queen event
[FoxNews] Derek Reimer was arrested for the second time in recent weeks for protesting drag queen story time for children in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

A Canadian pastor who has been arrested three times during the past five weeks for protesting drag queen story events for children spent Easter weekend behind bars for alleged hate speech.

The Rev. Derek Reimer, 36, was arrested on outstanding warrants last week while protesting near a drag story time event, according to the CBC. He now faces eight new charges, including criminal harassment, causing a disturbance and breaching his release conditions.

The Calgary police confirmed to the CBC that the charges are being investigated as hate-motivated.

Reimer, who is the pastor of the street church ministry Mission 7, was first arrested after a Feb. 25 incident during which several men physically tossed him out of Seton Library in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, for protesting a Reading with Royalty event that was put on by the Calgary Public Library and featured local drag performers reading to children.

He was arrested a second time on March 15 in a parking lot across the street from Signal Hill Library in Calgary, video of which shows police cuffing him and dragging him across the asphalt before hauling him away in a police vehicle. He was charged with breaching a release order that prohibited him from communicating with self-identified LGBTQ people or being within 200 meters of events involving the LGBTQ community.

Reimer's most recent arrest took place after he allegedly caused a disturbance and engaged in criminal harassment during a Reading with Royalty event at the Country Hills Library in Calgary.

Police said Reimer showed up with a microphone and shouted hate speech at event participants, according to the CBC. When the pastor reportedly entered the library and requested to speak with a manager, he allegedly made derogatory comments, engaged in hate speech and harassed the manager and staff, leaving them feeling concerned for their safety.

Reimer was also charged with causing a disturbance last Sunday outside the Saddletown Library, where police reportedly recorded him shouting things with a microphone that offended participants at the drag queen story time.

Shortly after Reimer's first arrest, the Calgary City Council passed the Safe and Inclusive Access Bylaw, which prohibits protests within 100 meters of a recreation facility or library entrance. The council also modified its public behavior bylaw to include the term "intimidation," according to the CBC.
