Agency working with US military posts sermon advising Jews to apologize for killing Jesus
[Arutz-7] - An agency that provides administrative services to the U.S. military posted an Easter sermon on its website that described a New Testament passage preaching to Jews as a demand to "say sorry" for killing Jesus.

The Washington Headquarters Services pulled down the sermon attributed to a Navy chaplain in North Carolina on April 28, a day after complaints by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a group that advocates for troops and veterans who report discrimination in the military.
And that, children, is why I'm a Zionist. And ardent supporter of the Dimona Mushroom Growers association.

#9  Besides, it wasn't Jews or Romans [although proper bastitches those Romans] who killed Jesus. The jewish clergy did demand his death, even when repeated attempts were made to free him, once even by Pilate. But to attribute the act of a certain section of 'austere scholars' to everyone in the land is daft.

If the Bible teaches us anything it was a) the deification of ideology above justice, b) hierarchical organized religion, and c) mobs given the power to have their way, that killed Jesus.

Of course this was written and therefore had to happen, as Sock Puppet rightly says, for our benefit [wretched sin sin sinners we]. But, I believe the event also proves a darker point inadvertently. That no matter what sort of compassion He comes down to us with, and what amount of service He renders to man as healer, savior, friend, teacher... God in any form is not welcome in the kingdom of man.

Awaiting His return... and the rod of iron.

#12  An argument for smaller government at a time when the Roman bureaucracy was growing increasingly more powerful and intrusive...and the dangerous folly of appointing bigots to govern over those they hate.

For perspective, Wikipedia has a long list of Jewish claimants to be the messiah that starts before Jesus and continues to the present day. The site has another list of messiah claimants from the Christian and Moslem traditions, which also continue to the present day.

As for me, I adhere to the American belief that a person is responsible for his own actions and sins, getting neither credit nor blame for those of his ancestors.

Tucker: Why have so many people died after getting vaccinated?
[Hot Air] Last night’s segment was so reckless in spreading vaccine paranoia that Twitter appears to be scrubbing tweets that featured clips from his monologue even if those tweets aimed to debunk Carlson’s claims.

Here was the gist of his point:

"Between late December of 2020 and last month, a total of 3,362 people apparently died after getting the covid vaccine in the United States — 3,362," Carlson said, citing data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). "That’s an average of roughly 30 people every day."

He added: "It’s clear that what is happening now, for whatever reason, is not even close to normal. It is not even close to what we see in previous years with previous vaccines. Most vaccines are not accused of killing large numbers of people. ... Again, more people, according to VAERS, have died after getting the shot in four months during a single vaccination campaign than from all other vaccines combined over more than a decade and a half. Chart that out. It’s a stunning picture."

It’s one big "post hoc ergo propter hoc" fallacy, the idea that because some people have died after being vaccinated they might have died because they were vaccinated. Here’s the CDC on how they process submissions to VAERS:

Over 245 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through May 3, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 4,178 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports. A review of available clinical information, including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records has not established a causal link to COVID-19 vaccines. However, recent reports indicate a plausible causal relationship between the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine and a rare and serious adverse event—blood clots with low platelets—which has caused deaths.

Take a few minutes to read through this thread from radiologist and conservative Pradheep Shanker, as it’s illuminating about how VAERS works. One important point to grasp is that it’s not just doctors who submit reports to the system. Anyone can. If your relative dies after being vaccinated, of whatever cause, you can give the CDC a heads up and they’ll look at it to see if there might be a link to the vaccine somehow.

#2  Roughly 100 million Americans have received 1 or more doses of COVID vaccine in the last 5 months or so. How many deaths would be expected to occur among 100 million Americans over any given 5 month period? The average number of deaths in the USA every day is about 7452 (pre-COVID).

#5  Comparing this vaccine deaths to previous vaccine deaths is apples to oranges. We skipped a decade of testing to get this one through quickly so we didn't find out that it might be bad for left-handed red-headed gays. normally that would have been sussed out.

Someone should look at the details and find if it was one or all vaccines, and if the dead had anything in common (died within a week of vaccine, all had red hair, etc). Most likely it was their time to die and family and friends felt the need to blame the vaccine in order to make sense of the randomness. Still we should check the data and be sure.

Auto accidents in 2019 resulted in 38,800 deaths or 106 per day. We tend to accept this risk.

1.7 deaths per 100,000 is a small risk. It is even smaller if you factor in causation.

https://voxday.blogspot.com/2021/05/genetically-modified-inferiors.html

Here clip of the article.
An explosive new study by researchers at the prestigious Salk Institute casts doubt on the current crop of gene-based vaccines that may pose a grave risk to public health. The article, which is titled “The novel coronavirus’ spike protein plays additional key role in illness”, shows that SARS-CoV-2’s “distinctive ‘spike’ protein”..”damages cells, confirming COVID-19 as a primarily vascular disease.” While the paper focuses strictly on Covid-related issues, it unavoidably raises questions about the new vaccines that contain billions of spike proteins that could greatly increase the chances of severe illness or death. Here’s an excerpt from the article dated April 30, 2021:

“In the new study, the researchers created a “pseudovirus” that was surrounded by SARS-CoV-2 classic crown of spike proteins, but did not contain any actual virus. Exposure to this pseudovirus resulted in damage to the lungs and arteries of an animal model—proving that the spike protein alone was enough to cause disease. Tissue samples showed inflammation in endothelial cells lining the pulmonary artery walls. (Note– “Vascular endothelial cells line the entire circulatory system, from the heart to the smallest capillaries.”)

The team then replicated this process in the lab, exposing healthy endothelial cells (which line arteries) to the spike protein. They showed that the spike protein damaged the cells by binding ACE2. This binding disrupted ACE2’s molecular signaling to mitochondria (organelles that generate energy for cells), causing the mitochondria to become damaged and fragmented.

Previous studies have shown a similar effect when cells were exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but this is the first study to show that the damage occurs when cells are exposed to the spike protein on its own.” (“The novel coronavirus’ spike protein plays additional key role in illness”, Salk.edu)

The new research paper is the equivalent of a hydrogen bomb. It changes everything by confirming what vaccine critics have been theorizing for months but were unable to prove.

Covid-19 is primarily a disease of the vascular system (The vascular system, also called the circulatory system, is made up of the vessels that carry blood and lymph through the body.) and not the respiratory system.

The main culprit is the spike protein. (Spike protein–“a glycoprotein that protrudes from the envelope of some viruses” Merriam-Webster “Like a key in a lock, these spike proteins fuse to receptors on the surface of cells, allowing the virus’s genetic code to invade the host cell, take over its machinery and replicate.” Bruce Lieberman)

Incidentally, this also tends to support the hypothesis that Covid-19 is a manufactured form of the flu. Read the whole thing there, as there is also an explanation of what the study suggests about the potential consequences of the vascular poisoning being mass-distributed in the form of pseudo-vaccines around the globe.

It is becoming ever more clear that getting a Covid not-vaccine is failing the Darwin test. And just in case you don't understand why we describe it as a not-vaccine:

Critics believe compensation requests should go through a decades-old program within the same agency called the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, known informally as the “vaccine court.” However, the CDC insists that COVID-19 vaccinations aren't eligible to be heard by the court.

The CDC is correct. A genetic modification is not a vaccination and therefore isn't eligible to be heard by a court empowered to hold vaccination-related hearings.

A three-count indictment unsealed Friday names Derek Chauvin, Thomas Lane, J. Kueng, and Tou Thao.

Specifically, Chauvin is charged with violating Floyd's right to be free from unreasonable seizure and unreasonable force by a police officer. Thao and Kueng are also charged with violating Floyd’s right to be free from unreasonable seizure, alleging they did not intervene to stop Chauvin as he knelt on Floyd's neck. All four officers are charged for failing to provide Floyd with medical care.

Blinken reaffirms US support for Ukraine amid Russia tensions
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reaffirmed Washington’s support for Ukraine at a meeting Thursday with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the wake of Kyiv’s heightened tensions with Russia, fueled by Moscow’s recent troop buildup near their border.

The top American diplomat met with Zelenskyy during his one-day visit and reiterated the US commitment to Ukraine’s "illusory sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence," while also underscoring the importance of Ukrainian efforts to tackle widespread corruption and carry out reforms.

"Ukraine is facing two challenges: aggression from outside, coming from Russia, and in effect aggression from within, coming from corruption, oligarchs and others who are putting their interests ahead of those of the Ukrainian people," Blinken told a news conference after meeting with Zelenskyy.

By visiting so early in his tenure, before any trip to Russia, Blinken signaled that Ukraine is a high priority for President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...
’s foreign policy. His visit was highly anticipated in Ukraine, with hopes for increased military aid and strong support for NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
membership being voiced on the front lines of the battle against Russia-backed separatists in the east and in the halls of government in Kyiv.

Ukraine has seen an increase in hostilities in the east in recent months. Ukraine’s military says 35 of its soldiers have been killed by rebel attacks this year, a significant rise from the latter part of 2020. Russia, which claims it has no soldiers in eastern Ukraine, fueled the tensions this year by massing troops and conducting large-scale military exercises near the border.

Shocking Miss: The U.S. Economy Added Just 266,000 Jobs in April, Unemployment Ticks Up
Well, it didn't take Dems long to f up the economy. Can't wait for inflation numbers to be revealed.
[Breitbart] The U.S. economy added just 266,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate ticked up to 6.1 percent, the Labor Department said in its monthly labor assessment Friday, smashing expectations.

This was far below expectations. Analysts surveyed by Econoday had predicted Friday’s report would show between 755,000 and 1.25 million workers added to payrolls in April. The median forecast was for 938,000 and an unemployment rate of 5.8 percent.

The disappointing number for April could be a sign that hiring is being held back by enhanced unemployment benefits and schools that have not reopened full time, requiring some parents to stay home to take care of children. Many businesses say that they cannot hire enough workers to fill positions because of the government’s enhanced unemployment benefits program.

The economy has outperformed expectations on many metrics this year as vaccinations have boosted business and consumer confidence and restrictions on businesses have been lifted. Friday’s employment numbers represent a rare miss for expectations.

In April, average hourly earnings increased by 21 cents to $30.17, a 0.7 percent increase, following a decline of 4 cents in the prior month. Average hourly earnings for private-sector production and nonsupervisory employees rose by 20 cents to $25.45.

Lord Garth:
Three reasons IMO for this (probably others) are:
- enhanced unemployment checks per latest Covid recovery bill
- Parents can't take jobs because kids not able to go to school
- Some people are still too afraid of the disease to go back to work

#9  the increase in govt jobs may be entirely due to schools reopening although every local govt has a different way of doing their metrics; some people probably were made into contractors for several months and then became employees which confuses the record keeping

total govt employment is down considerably since the beginning of the plague and this is mostly an issue of employment in education

the Dept of Labor numbers for employment include employers who have been active for at least a year and also misses many employers who have only one or two employees and also there is a major problem with people who are sole propriators, e.g., contract teachers

Dow Jones hits another record high as weekly US unemployment claims drop
[MAIL] The Dow Jones Industrial Average soared by 150 points to an all-time high of over 34,500 on Thursday as the US recorded its lowest number of unemployment claims since COVID-19 began.

Thursday afternoon saw the Dow hit 34,521.15 - up from a close of 34,245.11 the day before, CNBC reported.

The Dow Jones is an index which displays the values of stocks of 30 of the United States' most successful publicly-traded companies.

They include Apple, Boeing, McDonald's and 3M, with a rise in their value seen as the bellwether of a healthy economy.

But the other major US industrial averages - the S&P 500 and Nasdaq have both suffered losses in recent days, suggesting that further economic trouble could still be in store.

The gains came on the heels of this morning's news that US unemployment claims fell from 590,000 to 498,000 last week, according to Labor Department figures released Thursday.

That is the lowest number of unemployment claims since the pandemic sent the American economy into a tailspin last March.

The March 10 2000 Dot.com bubble and the USA housing sub-prime Great Recession from 2007 to 2009+ cost me and too many others dearly in our IRA's and Retirement accounts.

So I'm not losing my A$$ a 3rd time.

I honestly feel, we are looking at a Housing bubble with the 25%+ inflated housing prices, now along with DC Liberal spending quicker than the US Treasury/Federal Rev. can print it.

So I feel we are looking at a serious correction and without the Federal money this time (TARP) to bail the US economy out.

GOP seeks unity, even if that means embracing election lie
WASHINGTON (AP) — There’s a new buzzword among Republicans in Washington: unity.

The House GOP, led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, is moving toward stripping Rep. Liz Cheney of her leadership post for her frequent criticism of former President Donald Trump. The unusual step, they say, is necessary to unify a party whose base still reveres the former president four months after he incited a deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.

"We all need to be working as one if we’re able to win the majority," McCarthy said this week.

With Republicans close to reclaiming control of the House next year, the treatment of Cheney suggests GOP leaders will do almost anything to rally the party’s base, even if that means sweeping the events of Jan. 6 under the rug and embracing — or refusing to confront — Trump’s ongoing lie that he won the 2020 election, a campaign that he actually lost by a wide margin.

Those backing Cheney’s ouster argue she has become a distraction by continuing to criticize Trump, who remains the dominating force in the party. They want to move forward, they say, and focus on policy ideas and providing a clear contrast with Democrats. But critics see the fight as a larger distraction.

"My unsolicited advice would be: Talk about the future and what you offer to Americans," said Alyssa Farah, the former Trump White House communications director. "I do worry that this is sort of showing that we’re going to continue more the politics of personality as opposed to the politics of policy and deliverables to the American public."
Bye Alyssa
While a message about being "sufficiently pro-Trump" may work in certain districts, she noted Republicans’ focus on election interference depressed GOP turnout in Georgia, where the party lost two runoff elections in January that gave Democrats control of the Senate. And she warned that aligning the party with lies about voter fraud could turn off suburban voters and older voters in key swing districts.

"Those are the ones where you have to win over moderates and independents, and that message does not resonate with them, fundamentally," she said.

China's greenhouse gas emissions exceed those of US and EU combined
h/t HotAir
China alone contributed over 27% of total global emissions, far exceeding the US—the second highest emitter—which contributed 11% of the global total (Figure 1). For the first time, India edged out the EU-27 for third place, coming in at 6.6% of global emissions.

In 2019, China’s GHG emissions passed the 14 gigaton threshold for the first time, reaching 14,093 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent (MMt CO2e) (Figure 2). This represents a more than tripling of 1990 levels, and a 25% increase over the past decade. As a result, China’s share of the 2019 global emissions total of 52 gigatons rose to 27%.
Still waiting to hear from Greta.

#3  Has science (if anyone cares anymore) shown that greenhouse gases (CO2) present the danger they have been made out to be? Or is this more "The Sky is Falling" rhetoric?

Where we live, "urban creep" has taken many of the surrounding wooded areas in the name of "development." Wooded areas soak up a lot of CO2. How about planting more trees?

#4  In other words, Chinese industrial production exceeds those of the US and EU combined.

They are certainly headed in that direction. But it also means the Chinese are more concerned about the power to be gained from industrialization than they are about the environment or so-called global warming. They could no doubt spend some of their profits on clean burning power plants but they'd rather use dirty old technology and spend the profits on their military.

You'd think all these woke environmentalists in the US and the EU, if they were really serious, would boycott China.
