Is Biden's Classified Docs Scandal Connected to the Biden Family Business?
[PJ] When Joe Biden left the vice presidency in 2017, he took with him several boxes of documents that contained classified documents. At no point did Biden have the authority to declassify the documents, and the seriousness of the situation was made worse by the apparent cover-up by the White House. Originally, we were told the documents were found in early November 2022, before the midterms, but we didn’t learn about them until after the new year. Last week, we learned that the White House appeared to know about the classified documents at the Penn Biden Center as early as March 2021.

Now the House Oversight Committee has new concerns about the classified documents, and committee chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) has written another letter to Special Counsel Robert Hur regarding the documents. Specifically, the letter inquires as to whether any of the documents were related to the countries the Biden family was doing business with.

"The Committee has developed significant evidence regarding President Biden’s retention of classified materials at Penn Biden Center. Witness testimony, emails, and text messages establish there were at least five current and former White House employees who coordinated accessing boxes, which contained classified documents, between 2021 and October 2022," Comer wrote in his letter, dated Monday. "The Committee is concerned as to why President Biden has not been fully transparent about the White House’s involvement in accessing these materials prior to November 2, 2022. As such, we requested certain documents and transcribed interviews from the White House. Recent reports indicate you recently interviewed President Biden and other individuals involved in this matter, and the Committee now seeks information from your office to further our investigation."

Moving down to para that answers title question:

This is an interesting development, especially since evidence has already suggested that Hunter Biden was using classified information in his business dealings.

'Squad' Dem pays thousands to husband in ‘wage expenses' for mystery role despite backlash
[FoxNews] Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., has continued shoveling campaign cash to her husband, Cortney Merritts, but altered the description of the payments amid scrutiny.
How terribly clever of her — assuredly no one will catch on to that trick.
She has sent over $100,000 to him since she added him to the campaign's payroll nearly two years ago.

According to new filings reviewed by Fox News Digital, Bush's committee paid Merritts $12,500 for "wage expenses" between July and August. Merritts previously gathered money for security services, but the committee switched their characterization in April as they continued to bring headaches for the campaign.

The new cash follows the $30,000 Bush's campaign paid him before the third quarter. So far this year, Merritts has received $42,500 from the committee. He's collected $102,500 since he first emerged on its payroll in January 2022.

The "Squad" member has said she requires protection due to previous attempts on her life and has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to security firms on top of the earlier payments to her husband.

According to her filings, her campaign began paying a new security firm in the third quarter. The committee sent $5,000 to a St. Louis-based company called All American Protective Consultants, which was established in March, business records show. The firm is registered under a company called 720 Firm, which launched late last year.

Bush's campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment on its payments to her husband and why they had switched their description from security to wage expenses. They also did not respond to a question regarding All American Protective Consultants.

After Bush and Merritts married in February, her office announced they had been together more than a year before her campaign began paying him in early 2022. Her campaign regularly sent Merritts bimonthly $2,500 checks while disbursing hundreds of thousands to other protection firms, primarily PEACE Security.

Merritts, meanwhile, did not have a private security license as of late February, Fox News Digital reported. He also did not appear in a Washington, D.C., database of licensed security specialists, and Bush's campaign did not respond to several prior emails on the matter. The payments have subsequently triggered at least two FEC complaints from watchdog groups.

The campaign also paid Nathaniel Davis, who has claimed he's 109 trillion years old and can summon tornadoes, tens of thousands of dollars for security services.
He’s in charge of protecting her from global warming spin-offs, no doubt.
Even before adding Merritts to her payroll, Bush faced criticism for using private security. In July 2021, Fox News Digital first reported on Bush's security payments while pushing to defund police, prompting CBS News inquiries about the cash and whether hiring a security detail while pushing to strip money from law enforcement was hypocritical.

Local St. Louis' KMOV4 later found that Bush had hired two sheriff's deputies as part of her security detail. The discovery of their unapproved side gig led to their termination.

'Squad' members draw outrage with Israel ceasefire resolution: 'Pro-terrorist'
[NYPOST] More than a dozen far-left House Democrats called for an end Monday to the nine-day-old war in Israel with a resolution that referred to the Oct. 7 Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
terror attack as "armed violence" and made no mention of American hostages held in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

The "Ceasefire Now Resolution," — introduced by Reps. Cori Bush
...politician, nurse, pastor, and Black Lives Matter activist serving as the U.S. representative for Missouri's 1st congressional district, since 2021, and probably all years after that until she dies. The district includes all of the city of St. Louis and most of northern St. Louis County. There are few normal people to be found there. Soon after being sworn in, Bush joined The Squad, a group of Socialist Dem lawmakers intent on wrecking the country. She posted a photo on Twitter of herself, the four original Squad members, and another new member, Jamaal Fire Alarm Bowman, with the caption "Squad up."...
of Missouri, Rashida Tlaib
...the very first ever Paleostinian-American ever sworn into Congress in 2019. She is a member of The Squad and consistently votes against the U.S. national interest. She's a Dem, naturally, from a safe district you wouldn't want to live in (Michigan's 12th congressional district). She wants the country to be kinda like Gaza only without any Jews for neighbors...
of Michigan, Andre Carson of Indiana, Summer Lee of Pennsylvania and Delia Ramirez of Illinois — demands that the Biden administration "immediately call for and facilitate deescalation [sic] and a cease-fire to urgently end the current violence" and "promptly send and facilitate the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza."

"I am grieving for every Paleostinian, Israeli, and American life lost to this violence, and my heart breaks for all those who will be forever traumatized because of it," Bush said in a statement.

"War and retaliatory violence doesn’t achieve accountability or justice; it only leads to more death and human suffering. We can’t bomb our way to peace, equality, and freedom."

Jon Huntsman Jr. says family to stop donations to UPenn over 'silence' on Hamas attack, others follow
More consequences for vicious idiots.
[NYPOST] Jon Huntsman
...American professional politician and diplomat. He worked as a White House staff assistant for Ronald Reagan, and he was appointed by George Bush the Elder as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce and later as United States Ambassador to Singapore. He was Deputy U.S. Trade Representative under Bush the Younger. Huntsman has also served as CEO of his family's Huntsman Corporation and was elected Governor of Utah in 2004, winning re-election in 2008 with nearly 78% of the vote. On August 11, 2009, he resigned as governor to accept an appointment as Ambassador to China in the Obama administration....
, the former governor of Utah who served as ambassador to China, said that his family will no longer donate to his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, over its "silence" to the attack by Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
against Israel last weekend.

Huntsman, the son of the late petrochemical billionaire Jon Huntsman Sr., informed UPenn President Liz Magill that his charity, the Huntsman Foundation, will "close its checkbook" on future donations to the school, which in his words has become "almost unrecognizable," according to the campus newspaper The Daily Pennsylvanian.

"Moral relativism has fueled the university’s race to the bottom and sadly now has reached a point where remaining impartial is no longer an option," he wrote to Magill on Friday night.

Huntsman blasted the school’s "silence in the face of reprehensible and historic Hamas evil against the people of Israel," which he termed "a new low."

He said that "the only response should be outright condemnation."

"Silence is antisemitism, and antisemitism is hate, the very thing higher ed was built to obviate," Huntsman wrote in his letter.
He isn’t the only one, CNN reports:
Wall Street CEO Marc Rowan is calling for the leaders of the University of Pennsylvania to resign and donors to close their checkbooks over an alleged failure to condemn antisemitism and hate.

Rowan, the CEO of private equity giant Apollo Global Management, wrote in an op-ed posted online Wednesday that UPenn failed to condemn an event held on campus last month that the university acknowledged included speakers with a history of making antisemitic remarks.

"Why is UPenn repeating tragic mistakes of the past? Words of hate and violence must be met with clear, reasoned condemnation, rooted in morality from those in positions of authority," Rowan wrote.

Rowan, whose fortune is estimated by Forbes to be nearly $6 billion, is one of the university’s wealthiest donors and supporters. He chairs the board of advisors at the university’s famed Wharton School and is the latest business leader to slam an Ivy League school over its handling of antisemitism in the wake of Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
deadly attack on Israel.

UPenn leaders said in a statement Tuesday they were "devastated by the horrific assault on Israel by Hamas."

"These abhorrent attacks have resulted in the tragic loss of life and escalating violence and unrest in the region," UPenn President Elizabeth Magill and UPenn Provost John Jackson, Jr., said in that statement.

But the billionaire CEO argues UPenn leaders failed to condemn the "hate-filled" Paleostine Writes Literature Festival, a multi-day event that took place at the university’s campus last month.

"The polarizing Paleostine Writes gathering featured well-known antisemites and fomenters of hate and racism and was underwritten, supported and hosted by various UPenn academic departments and affiliates," Rowan said.

The Apollo CEO, who is also a parent of UPenn graduates, demanded all UPenn alumni and supporters "who believe we are heading in the wrong direction to ’Close their Checkbooks’" until Magill and Board of Trustees Chair Scott Bok both step down.

Rowan also alleged that instead of condemning the event, Magill and Bok have been "working to purge all Trustees with dissenting points of view by explicitly and aggressively demanding" the resignation of those who signed an open letter calling for Magill to resign.

In response, UPenn issued a statement from Julie Platt, vice chair of the school’s board of trustees and past president of the Penn Alumni board of directors, who said she has "full confidence" in the leadership of Magill and Bok.
In fact, it’s a trend. The Daily Pennsylvanian:
Vahan Gureghian will resign from the Penn Board of Trustees in protest of University leadership, he announced following a special meeting of the board on Friday.

“Like so many elite academic institutions, the leadership of UPenn has failed us through an embrace of antisemitism, a failure to stand for justice, and complete negligence in the defense of its own students’ well being,” Gureghian wrote in a statement.

Gureghian said his decision to step down was a result of Penn's response to the Palestine Writes Literature Festival, which faced criticism by some campus and national Jewish groups for speakers facing allegations of antisemitism.

Gureghian was first appointed to Penn's board in 2009 as a non-elected trustee by the Pennsylvania General Assembly, representing the interests of 13 million residents, he said. He has served his current term since 2021.

“I can no longer report back to these constituents that UPenn is acting in their best interest," he wrote.

In response to a request for comment, University Board of Trustees Chair Scott Bok said he regretted Gureghian's "decision to step down" and looked forward to working with the General Assembly's next appointee to the Board of Trustees.

The NYPD needs more cops after years of officers exiting: Mayor Adams
[NYPOST] Mayor Eric Adams
...Hizonner da Mare of Noo Yawk. As a Manchurian candidate, Hizonner was all in favor of law and order and that kind of stuff. Once in office, a few of his friends found cushy jobs with the city, the windows kept getting broken, and Soros-funded DA Alvin Bragg remained right where he was. Most people comfort themselves with the thought that he's not Bill di Blasio but that's pretty small comfort with kids who actually go to school getting bumped off while standing in front of them. But he's a Dem, so the rubes will vote for him next election too, so he's what they deserve...
says New York City needs more cops after years of officers leaving the department.
Look on the bright side: Y'got lotsa social workers.
"We can use more," Adams said on the "Morning Joe" program on MSNBC Monday. "I’m very clear on that."
But if you get more cops, arrests will go up.
"The numbers are down, but based on the numbers, no one does it better than the New York Police Department."

The NYPD has lost more than 2,000 uniformed officers over the last few years as the pandemic and anti-cop sentiment during the Black Lives Matter protests caused many to reconsider the job and resign or retire.

Prior to the pandemic, the city had about 36,000 uniformed officers, but that figure has dropped to 33,582, according to NYPD data.

There have been 613 resignations and 1,042 retirements at the NYPD through mid-August, according to the latest data available.

This year’s pace, though, appears to show the city has slowed the bleed of staffing from the department after last year’s record of more than 3,700 departures.

GOP Flips Louisiana Governorship
[PJMedia] In an echo of the 2016 election, Democrats have been blindsided by a stunning Republican victory in a race for chief executive. Louisiana’s "jungle primary" for the governor’s seat wrapped up on Saturday, and the state’s attorney general, Jeff Landry, won a flat-out majority (52%), eliminating the need for a run-off between the top two vote-getters in November. His victory returns leadership of the Bayou State to the Republicans.

Democrat Gov. John Bel Edwards has held the office for eight years but had to step down due to term limits. The top Democrat in Saturday’s race, former state transportation secretary Shawn Wilson, was only able to pull 26% of the vote despite having consolidated Democrat support in the race.

"Republican Jeff Landry claims back Louisiana governor’s office in stunning GOP victory" reads USA Today’s headline. "Jeff Landry, a Hard-Line Republican, Is Elected Governor of Louisiana," laments The New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

. And CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
calls Landry "a hard-line conservative."

There is a second reason why Landry’s win is a striking foreshadowing of what might happen in 2024: he was explicitly endorsed by front-running presidential candidate Donald Trump
...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party...
. In a 15-second spot released by Landry’s campaign last spring, the candidate stands alongside Trump as the former president sings his praises:

Maybe old Orange Man Bad isn’t as radioactive as he used to be.
