Megachurch Shooter, an Alien Who Should Have Been Deported, Likely Voted in 2020 Election; she saw herself as a Muslim killing Jews for jihad
See also here.
[PJMedia] On Sunday afternoon, a deranged woman brought her young son and an AR-15 into Joel Osteen's Lakewood megachurch and opened fire. After the smoke cleared, the shooter, Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36, had been killed by two off-duty officers. A 57-year-old man had taken a round in the leg; he was treated at a medical facility and released. And Moreno's seven-year-old son had been shot in the head. The boy remains at death's door with a poor prognosis.

It's unclear whether Moreno herself shot her child, but then, there are a lot of confusing details still up in the air about this case. The woman had suffered from schizophrenia and had multiple past arrests, and yet, mainstream news sources are reporting that she was able to buy guns legally. For example, CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
stated, "The shooter used an AR-15 with a 'Paleostine' sticker on it during the attack, which she legally purchased in December, police said. She also had a 0.22 caliber weapon in her bag that was not used, according to a federal law enforcement source."

But in court filings during divorce proceedings between her son, Enrique Carranza III, and the shooter, Moreno's former mother-in-law, Walli Carranza revealed the courts had been involved with Moreno's mental health, reports ABC:

The mother-in-law's affidavit also suggests that Moreno should not have been able to own a gun, claiming that under an alias, Moreno had been under involuntary psychiatric commitment at least four times.

Moreno's former husband, Enrique Carranza III, also said in a separation-related affidavit that "She is a diagnosed schizophrenic and [Child Protective Services] has told her that she cannot have a gun."

Additionally, although it's not necessarily a disqualifier in Texas, Moreno had been arrested numerous times — including for illegal possession of a weapon, for which she served two days in the Fort Bend County Jail. Houston-based energy executive and political analyst Don Hooper compiled her mugshots in a tweet, along with the year of each arrest:

Whether Moreno truly considered herself a man is another point of contention. The Houston PD looked into the matter and determined that she had always used female pronouns, but then, she also sometimes went by the name Jeffery or Jeffry.

Still another roadblock to Moreno obtaining a legal firearm is the fact that she is not a U.S. citizen. She was born in El Salvador, and it's unclear what her current resident status is. But during the divorce proceedings (approximately 2020-2022), she was deportable:

The mother-in-law's affidavit … also claimed Moreno "filed a fraudulent birth certificate" for the child and "refused" to correct it and told hospital staff that the father [Carranza] was "dead" and, alternatively, that he was "homeless" and unknown.

Her son "has been reticent to file the criminal charges against his wife; now his former wife because, as she is not a US citizen," the mother-in-law's affidavit said, and "as she already has had criminal convictions, she would likely be deported if convicted of the 3rd degree felony that stems from filing a fraudulent birth certificate. He told [Houston Police] detectives this is not what he wants for the woman he loved and married and the mother of his child. He wants her to live, he told police, where she can get quality mental healthcare. He doesn’t hate her; he hates her mental illness and her refusal to treat it."

Indeed, Hooper found that Immigration had a detainer on her at one point:

So if Moreno was a deportable alien as recently as 2022, then she was likely not eligible to buy a gun in Texas.

You know what else she wasn't eligible to do? Vote. But Hooper, who has political connections, pulled up the woman's alleged voting data in Texas. Guess what he found?

Moreno is apparently registered to vote in Montgomery County, Texas. When I entered her name and date of birth into the county Voter Registration Database, it hit:
...the FBI reportedly found antisemitic material at the home of a woman who recently opened fire at a Houston megachurch, wounding one person before she was shot and killed by off-duty officers. Authorities found a painting with the message “Death to Jews” at the shooter’s home, her former mother-in-law, a self-professed Jewish Universalist rabbi,
...whatever that means...
told the Forward.
P.J. Media reports Ms Moreno presented as a hijabi Moslem when she met her husband, and her online posts through last month contained overt support of all the usual jihadi groups and love of killing Jews for Islam. There’s no connection between Jews and shooting up Mr. Osteen’s church, but the insane don’t need real reasons beyond whatever their madness creates.

#2
Despite the MSM efforts to avoid saying "TRANSGENDER" I keep seeing police comments and records skimming around it, to hint the mentally ill person was leaning in that direction.

"Moreno had used multiple aliases, including Jeffery Escalante, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety records search. "

"Houston Police Commander Chris Hassig said about 19 minutes into a press conference on Monday. “So she has utilized both male and female names."

"William Capasso, an attorney in Houston who represented Moreno for a portion of her divorce proceedings in 2021 to 2022, told The Associated Press that she went by Jeffrey Moreno-Carranza at the time."

ALL THAT ASIDE:

Please explain how IT came to have AR-15?
Given the current price of this weapon and ammo and IT's mental and employment instability.

How did IT afford it, or was supplied to IT with suggested uses?

#7  That’s probably “jew”, given that the mother is

a self-professed Jewish Universalist rabbi,

From the Universalist Unitarian website:

Many Unitarian Universalists (UUs) have a connection to Judaism. Whether we are ethnically, culturally, or spiritually Jewish, whether we're married to a Jewish person, or simply inspired by Jewish wisdom, we have a place in Unitarian Universalism. One of the six sources we draw upon in our worship and religious education is "Jewish and Christian teachings which call us to respond to God's love by loving our neighbors as ourselves."

There was a UUA Jewish woman in my PTA Moms circle, years ago. She’d married a non-Jew, and joining that church was how they compromised on the religion thing for their three technically Jewish (through the mother) children. Like so many in that congregation, she was deeply unhappy. Another of my circle who belonged to that congregation once did a worship service of thanksgiving for all the husbands and fathers among the membership, because the men were feeling profoundly abused by all the anti-male political correctness embedded in UUA conventions.

Just because a whack job has a failed marriage to jew doesn't necessarily mean she's anti-semitic. It just means she hates her in-laws.

True, ed. However, her social media posts are full of things about killing Jews for Islam. And that whole “Death to Jews” painting in her residence. Crazy people are generally tuned in to the zeitgeist — and just now it’s all about killing for Islam, particularly killing Jews, Christians, and Westerners for Islam.

Probably if she were medicated she wouldn’t want to kill Jews or anyone else. But without medication the paranoid schizophrenic is driven to kill a target after building a conspiracy theory around it/them. She called hers “Jews”, then showed her ignorance of the subject by shooting up a church.

Gavin Newsom Criticizes Gun Violence in Missouri, Doesn't Mention California Has over 2X the Fatalities
[Breitbart]

On November 16, 2023, this author wrote a piece highlighting the left’s tendency to point to firearm-related homicide deaths instead of actual homicide numbers. This allows someone like Newsom to avoid mentioning Centers for Disease Control and Prevention numbers showing California had 3,576 firearm deaths in 2021 while Missouri only had 1,414.

Moreover, by focusing on “gun death rates” instead of real numbers, Newsom can omit the fact that the FBI noted that California led the nation in “active shooter incidents” in 2021.

Nolte: Doomed CNN Forced to ‘Dramatically' Slash Anchor Salaries
[Breitbart] Doomed CNN, a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads conspiracy theories and violence, is looking to cut “more than $50 million” in anchor salaries.

Let’s start with the current salaries. You are not going to believe how much these assholes are reportedly paid per year:

  • Anderson Cooper: $20 million

  • Wolf Blitzer: $15 million

  • Jake Tapper: $8.5 million

  • Chris Wallace: $8 million

  • John Berman, Kate Bolduan, Sara Sidner: $1 to $2 million

Normal people watch these CNN losers operate and ask themselves, How can they lie so shamelessly? How do they live with themselves, spreading all this hate, division, violence, and racism? Well, now you know. These soulless propagandists are bought and paid for.

Personally, I think CNN failed to understand one key thing when negotiating these salaries: Leftists like Jake Tapper are probably willing to serial lie and meddle in elections for free. You give that guy cab fare and eating money, and he’ll happily lie all the livelong day.

The only thing sustaining this garbage outlet is the rigged cable/satellite TV con. With fewer than a half-million viewers, CNN cannot survive on merit (i.e., advertising revenue based on ratings). CNN survives only because about 60 million chumps still pay $150 a month for cable/satellite TV. Every month, even though fewer than one percent of those 60 million watch CNN, all 60 million subsidize CNN through their cable bill.

The good news is that streaming is killing cable TV. That 60 million number used to be twice as high. Every year, more and more smart and patriotic Americans cut the cable cord, which is why CNN is doomed.

It’s also why CNN is now forced to slash budgets and salaries.

“If you work at CNN, your compensation is going to go down dramatically over the next…five years; there’s just no other way around it,” one media and tech analyst told the Wrap.

And it appears as though CNN’s latest boss, the disgraced Mark Thompson, is ready to do that. He has no choice. With the left-wing affirmative action of cable/satellite TV coming to an end, CNN is about to be shoved into the bright light of the merit-based streaming culture where it has zero chance of surviving. Nobody watches, trusts, or likes CNN.

Back in 2022, when CNN dipped its toe into the merit-based streaming world with CNN+, only 150,000 people signed up. Fewer than 10,000 people tuned in. CNN+ was put out of its misery within weeks.

Guess what else isn’t going to save CNN? The 2024 presidential election.

The Bud Light Military
[Barsoom] Thus opens the foundational epic of European civilization.

Achilles is angry because his woman, Briseis, has been appropriated by Agamemnon, the leader of the Greeks. He expresses this discontent by going on strike. While the rest of the Greek army fights and dies outside the walls of Troy, Achilles lounges in his tent, content to sit out the combat until Agamemnon comes to his senses and returns his war bride. If Achilles were simply any other warm body with a spear, this wouldn’t be such a big deal, but he is Achilles — the greatest warrior of the Heroic Age. Without him, the Greeks are at a severe disadvantage. Achilles’ petulance is therefore a problem for Agamemnon.

The lesson is hardly a subtle one. Kings and generals need to keep their soldiers happy. They especially need to keep their best soldiers happy. If they don’t — for instance, by taking their women from them — morale will suffer, and they may well find themselves without the crucial support of their warriors when it most matters.

Washington seems to have missed that lesson, and now, they’re paying the price.

For the last decade they have been relentlessly and mercilessly whipping American whites: defaming them as racists, mocking their intelligence and manliness, tearing down their statues, erasing the names of their ancestral heroes, replacing their fictional archetypes with diverse doppelgangers in the media, disadvantaging them in education and employment, demanding that they attend racial struggle sessions. The list of outrages and humiliations is long and all too familiar, permeating as it does every one of our institutions.

But now, the Empire of Lies faces a problem.

War has returned to the world. History, its rumoured demise notwithstanding, once again stalks the land. Russia mauls the Ukraine; Israel is beset with enemies; the Empire’s influence in Africa frays by the day; China salivates over Taiwan.

Meanwhile the American domestic economy, long since hollowed out by the extractive rent-seeking of financial parasites, lurches from one crisis to the next. The Great Satan remains powerful, for the present, but the young bucks can scent that the silverback is not what he used to be. Their provocations increase in daring and intensity. If they aren’t slapped down, their boldness will only increase.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Neo-Trotskyists again want to burn Russia in the fire of world revolution
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Roman Antonovsky

[REGNUM] At one time, Soviet Russia was very lucky that Stalin defeated Trotsky in the party struggle. Stalin's concept was to build socialism in one single country. This helped us survive, win the Great Patriotic War and maintain territorial integrity after the Civil War. Trotsky passionately wanted to spread the flame of world revolution to the whole world, setting it on fire throughout Asia and Europe. If his hellish plan had succeeded, then the Russians as a nation would most likely simply have burned in the fire of this revolution as firewood.

Trotsky died from a blow from an ice ax, but his work lives on.

After the start of the special operation, many media Russian communists begin to promote the dangerous idea of reviving the USSR 2.0. It would be nice if they limited themselves to the desire to restore the cannibalistic power of the Bolsheviks in our country, but their plans go much further. They want to drag us into World War III as one of the main actors. In their opinion, we must lead the war between the global South and the global West on the side of the former. Moreover, to become his main striking force. To die for the idea of the dominance of communism throughout the world.

They see the special operation in Ukraine not as a gathering of Russian lands, but as an opportunity to ignite the fire of revolution in Russia and the world.

For example, Prilepin first wrote Russians out of European nations, calling them white blacks, and then more than once repeated the thesis that Russia should “move to the left”, because we are supposedly mainly supported by left-wing countries, and we must now lead the left-wing international of the third world against Europe and the USA.

“Russians are actually black, red, and yellow. Russians are colored. We were born white by chance, due to a misunderstanding,” Zakhar crosses out Russians from Europe, although it is obvious to all normal people that the Russians, despite all our conflicts with Western Europeans, are a large white European Christian people. In fact, there are three great civilizations in Europe today: Roman Catholic, German Protestant and Russian Orthodox.

Yes, today we are at war with the West in Ukraine, but at one time we fought with the Persians and Turks. The pressure of radical Islamism and the unbridled criminal behavior of diasporas from the south are no less a threat to Russia than the West. Having written Russians out of Europeans, Prilepin argues that modern Russia’s allies are exclusively Marxists and left-wing countries. This is wrong.

Including India, where right-wing nationalists are in power, national-capitalist China, which ranks second in terms of billionaires in the world, where only one red flag remains from communism, and forgetting about our right-wing allies from Eurosceptics like Geert Wilders, Marine Le Pen and Viktor Orban to Iranian fundamentalists or American Trumpists like Tucker Carlson.

German Sadulaev echoes Prilepin, saying that we will fight with the West until the meltdown under the red banner of communism. Like, we weren’t accepted into the “whites only” club. Not accepted into scouts. We were shown our place - in the reservation for Papuans. Well there is no way. The experiments are over. Russia is turning to its natural allies - Iran, China, India, North Korea, Africa, Latin America. Russia is returning to its historical mission. There will be no negotiations. And there will be another, big war.

These ideas of neo-Trotskyism are not new. The late Heydar Jemal proclaimed a red-green revolution in which Islamists would unite with communists against Europe. Only Russian Christians have no place in this configuration. In Dzhemal’s fantasies, the red-green revolutionaries will have to put us on the altar, along with other European peoples, and columns in niqabs and under red flags will march along the streets of Russian cities along churches with knocked down crosses. This neo-Trotskyist utopia is no less dangerous than Western left-wing liberalism.

Russia is not the south, not the east, not the west. We are the civilization of the North. Today the Russian North is a real conservative Europe, the Third Rome, preserving true Christianity.

Firstly, Russia should not fight for any ideology, we must defend our national interests. Live by your own mind.

Secondly, we have allies in the world of very different views, including right-wing populists in Europe and the alt-right in America. And in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, not only Nazis are fighting against us, but also anarcho-communists from Russia and other countries of the world, who consider the Northern Military District to be an imperialist war of Russia.

We should not go left, center or right, we must pursue our own benefit everywhere and be friends in the world with everyone who is ready to respect the interests of Russia: from the DPRK to the Trumpists, from the right-wing Orban to the fundamentalists from Iran. Geopolitical configurations and alliances in the world often change; one must be able to pursue one’s own benefit through diplomacy, soft and brute force, and not be blind dogmatists of any ideology. Prosperity and growth of the Russian people, defense of our Faith - this is the Russian idea of the 21st century.

Thirdly, our left-liberal enemies from the USA and Europe, who set Ukraine against the Russians, are also the ideological heirs of Trotsky and Marx. Left liberalism is Freud + Marx crossed in a Frankfurt School test tube.

Fourthly, we need to bring the special operation in Ukraine to a victorious conclusion, but it is better for us not to get involved in a possible third world war between the Global South and the Global West.

We must live for the sake of Russia and the future of our children, and not die for the sake of the ideology of Trotsky, Lenin and Marx. You only need to fight for your national interests. We need the unity of the people, not class strife and a new civil one. We need a Great Russia, not shocks for the sake of Bolshevik fantasies about world domination of their wild ideas.

'You could have gone crazy.' How LPR militias closed the Debaltsevo cauldron
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Viktoria Tolkacheva

[REGNUM] Nine years ago, the battles near Chernukhino with an offensive from the LPR and near Uglegorsk and Debaltsevo from the DPR became the largest scale actions of Donbass militias before the conclusion of the second Minsk agreements. In general, they became possible after the Debaltsevo cauldron, which went down in history along with the Ilovaisk cauldron. It was truly a big victory.

According to some reports, in Debaltsevo itself and in the outskirts of the city, the Ukrainian Armed Forces held from three to seven thousand people. In the People's Militia of the DPR and LPR, in the area near Chernukhino, where the Regnum correspondent went on the anniversary of the operation, from six to ten thousand fighters fought.

The battles lasted almost a month, during which the militia managed not only to oust the Ukrainian Armed Forces from a number of small settlements, but also to cut off almost all their retreat routes, defeating the units inside the encirclement. Some tried to escape from the cauldron and suffered losses, some eventually surrendered.

Another significant achievement for the militia was rich trophies: they received several dozen tanks, more than thirty infantry fighting vehicles, and tons of ammunition of various calibers from the enemy. And what is more important, a large transport hub was taken under control, which made it possible to establish a direct railway connection between Lugansk and Donetsk.

Now the trenches and dugouts at the battle sites are densely overgrown with bushes, and those events are almost not remembered. Therefore, we are driving through the villages, the names of which once resounded with the heavy front line of the Chernukhino-Debaltsevo operation, together with a participant in those events, to refresh our memory.

HEAVY ASSAULT
Our guide Nail Nurulin held the position of chief of staff of the South-Eastern Front in the winter of 2015, although he says that “in reality he is a simple volunteer.” He is truly a volunteer, he came to Donbass for his own personal reasons and stayed here forever. He says that he got used to it, became attached to the Lugansk region, and even got married again.

Nail Nurulin led the front headquarters during the battles for Chernukhino
Nail Sagitovich is a man with combat experience, who went through two years of war in Afghanistan and then served on the border in Tajikistan. Therefore, during the battles for Debaltsevo, the Ukrainian media mistook him for a career officer of the Russian Armed Forces, who was allegedly sent to Donbass by the GRU. Although Eustace—that’s the call sign Nurulin took—came to Lugansk to help his comrade in arms.

“He saved my life in Afghanistan. We always communicated with him on Skype. And in 2014, he stopped communicating, then my son contacted me and said that his father was severely shell-shocked and ended up in a coma. I arrived, dragged him to Moscow, and they sent him away there, ” Nail says about how it all began for him. — The commander of the “Rome” battalion, Alexander Gaidei, is the second soldier who served with me in Afghanistan. And he asked me to stay here. And after the Debaltsevo operation, I was offered the position of commandant of the republic.”

The first stop on our trip is a small forest or, as they say in the Donbass, a “landing” in the area of the settlements of Komissarovka and Sofievka. Together with Eustace, we climb the hill to look at the snow-covered mounds of old dugouts: it was at this point that the Rome battalion was located for three months before the start of the battles for Debaltsevo.

We walk through a clearing overgrown with tall dry grass, bushes and young trees, next to which there are rare old trees with broken trunks reminiscent of past shelling. Nail still knows the place well, actively gesticulates, points out where the LPR militia had a tank and an armored personnel carrier, where there was an observation post with a machine gun.

“All these mounds are dugouts. And this is my bunker. He's already overwhelmed here - the old soldier seems to be upset by such a mess in the positions. — This is a railway carriage, armored. We buried it, put slabs on top, such a dugout could withstand any shell hit. Unless he fell asleep too much, then there would be a mass grave. We brought electricity here from Komissarovka, there was a stove, I held all the meetings here.”

Here, nearby, during digging, the remains of dead Red Army soldiers were found along with rifles - they were reburied with honors. During the Great Patriotic War, the defense line passed here, and by symbolic coincidence, the Lugansk militia stood where Soviet soldiers once fought, and along the line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ trenches there were German trenches.

On January 22, 2015, the Rome battalion moved forward through the gray zone that had previously separated it from the enemy. On other sides, on the same day, the entire front began to move: the legendary Pavel Dremov, together with the Cossacks of the 6th regiment, headed for Sanzharovka and Vergulevka, the Donetsk people launched an attack on Uglegorsk. A little later, near “Rome”, fighters from the famous “Ghost” brigade of Alexei Mozgovoy joined the attack on the Ukrainian forces.

We make a new stop at Depreradovka station. Once upon a time in these places there was an estate of the famous military leaders of Serbian origin, Depreradovich.

At the station, the railway tracks have already been restored, new supports have been installed next to the pillars cut by shrapnel. But the old station building is broken down. Nine years ago, after the transition to the offensive, the right defense flag of the Lugansk militia stretched from here to the so-called poultry house (Chernukhin poultry farm). Moreover, they managed to break into the station itself literally immediately.

Then things didn’t go so smoothly: on January 23 and 24, the battalion’s fighters, using three infantry fighting vehicles and a tank, tried to move further along the railway in order to go to the rear of the slag mountain - there was one of the enemy’s strongholds. But in the bridge area, two infantry fighting vehicles took off their shoes, losing their tracks, then Ukrainian self-propelled guns opened fire on the attacking group. We had to retreat to our original positions: as a result, Lugansk fighters stayed in the area of the station until mid-February, almost until the end of the Debaltsevo operation, because it was not possible to go through this area head-on. On the way, the “Rome” militia had a seriously fortified Ukrainian opornik.

Already being on the spot, I understand why they could not take him.

The militias nicknamed this Ukrainian position “tunnels,” and for good reason. There really are two large tunnels under the railway. The paths themselves are located on a high embankment. To get directly to the place from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were monitoring our units, you have to climb a steep, icy slope - only one name remains of the stairs.

At the top we are greeted by the rust and devastation of nine years of age. Metal that has not completely collapsed periodically creaks in the wind. The silence does not interfere well with attempts to imagine how loudly the guns thundered in the surrounding area during the fighting.

“Their mortar battery and artillery were located here. And two self-propelled guns and two tanks were hidden in the tunnels, ” Nail points out. “ They drove along the road, fired at us, returned and hid again. From here they saw our “bird house”, all the bridges - everything was under fire. For a whole month we were still unable to destroy them. This building was two-story, high, it was an observation post. And there were also four or six wagons loaded with coal, that is, the dill were very well covered.”

Armed Forces equipment was hiding in tunnels under the railway
While we are going around the positions, Nail casually notes that he has walked up and down here, more than once. “They drank our blood here,” he says, again emphasizing how convenient this supporter was, he had advantages on all sides, which is why the Ukrainian military stood there until the last.

FEELING OF VICTORY
On the day of our trip to the LPR the weather was frosty, no less cold than during the assault on Debaltsevo. Fortunately, I have the opportunity to warm my hands by the stove in the car while we drive from one point to another. After the “tunnels” Eustace and I return back towards Chernukhino.

Before entering the village, we stop for five minutes at an abandoned building - at first glance, no one needs it. The building is located near the railway, and according to Nail, it turns out that in 2015 there was the headquarters of the Chernukha garrison of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian officers began to flee from here around February 13–14, but before that they sat under the reliable protection of self-propelled guns, which fired at Lugansk fighters from the fields adjacent to the “piece of iron.” There were plenty of problems with snipers, but the militia still managed to get hold of the outskirts of Chernukhino.

The famous house of Baba Masha, about which I have heard a lot, also stands. The elderly woman was not afraid to remain alone on her edge of the village; she lived under shelling. And, it turns out, not in vain: at the right moment, she informed the militia about the Ukrainian DRG, which they managed to neutralize in time.

It’s amazing that such a shack survived those battles at all. The Ukrainian army generously showered this area with shells. And the small house became a point of attraction for Luhansk fighters: they could warm up and dry themselves in it before moving on to the firing positions. The path was not easy: through a gap in the concrete fence, past carriages and two railway tracks, it was necessary to go to the rear to the “slag”.

“If the shelling started, you would crawl under the carriage between the wheels, and the fragments could not penetrate these steel wheels. We lay back, when everything passed, we got up and ran on, ” Nail recalls. “ We came here, into the houses, fighting. On January 31, we carried out reconnaissance in force, identified Ukrainian firing points and bunkers, then an artillery strike was carried out here and on February 1 we launched an attack and entered the outermost houses of the village. They knocked the dill out of these houses.”

Then two tanks were knocked out, and the offensive ran into fierce resistance. Heavy losses began, and in the end the situation turned upside down: the militia fought off Ukrainian counterattacks for two weeks, from the other side they were literally bombarded with FOGs like rain.

But the Chernukhino-Debaltsevskaya epic, as our guide calls the operation, ended on February 18 with the victory of the forces of the People's Militia of the LPR and DPR. The cauldron was slammed shut, and it seemed to Nail that everything happened just yesterday. As if it was again necessary to hide from fire behind concrete walls, as if Ukrainian mortars were again firing at the square occupied by the militia, as if the wounded and dead were again. But it’s quiet near Baba Masha’s house.

“When it was all over, I woke up in the morning and couldn’t understand what was happening. Because there were no breaks. I even thought that I was deaf, so I clicked my fingers near my ears to check, ” Eustace recalls. “ I was then struck by the complete silence that reigned at the front. For a whole month something was buzzing, exploding, shooting, and then suddenly nothing. You could go crazy from this.”

But no one went crazy. After Debaltsevo there was a feeling of significant victory, comparable even to the joy of May 9. Then, in February 2015, there was a feeling that the war was over and no one else would die. The opportunity to help civilians who survived the fighting in their homes brought no less joy to the boys. According to him, deposits of various humanitarian aid were found at Ukrainian positions - they were given to all the locals. This was the very first, tiny step towards peace at least in this part of Donbass.

Now the fields on the outskirts of Chernukhino have been sown, the slightly disheveled houses on the neighboring streets have been patched up, some have been restored from scratch. The poultry farm is working. You can now enter the village along a flat road, although inside the settlement there are plenty of crooked paths. But life there is really recovering. And after any military victory, this is the most important thing.

All an FBI Set Up? Jan 6 ‘Pipe Bomb’ Truth with Darren Beattie
[Whatafinger] FBI claimed a viable pipe bomb was placed at DNC on J5. But thanks to @julie_kelly@HouseAdmin here is new video of a bomb sniffing dog clearing DNC on the morning of J6. When was the "bomb" placed? Was it really viable? Who placed it? Why?

MORE DNC J6 FOOTAGE About 90 minutes after a bomb sniffing canine and his handler walked past the area where the alleged "pipe bomb" was planted, Kamala Harris’ Secret Service detail arrived at 11:25am. At least 6 vehicles and numerous agents, officers, and security guards also failed to detect the device sitting within a few feet to the right of the driveway. WATCH — Julie Kelly

#1  The failure of a Secret Service bomb-disposal canine to detect the device is confounding, unless the device was inert or a known artifact. Somehow, I cannot imagine a live device would have escaped canine detection at such close range.

Democrats relieved as Manchin rules out White House bid
[BBC] When Joe Manchin, one of the most high-profile centrists in US politics, announced he would not be running for president on Friday, you could almost hear the sigh of relief from the Biden campaign.

The West Virginia senator had said he was considering a run to provide an alternative to voters unhappy with both Joe Biden and Donald Trump. The self-described "conservative Democrat" has criticised both major parties and their leaders in recent years.

Democrats were concerned that an independent bid could help deliver the White House to the Republicans in November's election.

Mr Manchin finally ended the speculation on Friday, and seemed to acknowledge that the prospect of such unintended consequences was a factor in his decision not to run.

"I will not be a deal-breaker or a spoiler," he said in a speech in his home state.

News of Mr Manchin's decision will be well received in the White House.

"Democrats have been really freaking out at the prospect of a third party candidate, especially one who comes from a more moderate, centrist background," says Amy Walters, editor of the Cook Political Report, which analyses campaigns and elections.

Polls suggest that there is fertile ground this year for an independent or third-party a campaign, given that a majority of Americans have expressed dissatisfaction with a Biden-Trump rematch of the 2020 campaign.

"Those swing voters who are not going to back Trump could defect to another candidate," Ms Walters added.

Mr Manchin may not have been best situated to take advantage of these political conditions, however. At 76, the senator is close to the same age as his two major-party rivals, so he could not provide a youthful contrast. And while Manchin's brand of political moderation - with a focus on budgetary restraint - may have peeled off some Democrats and Republicans, in the current climate of political polarisation that appeal may have had its limitations.

After word of Mr Manchin's decision spread, the centrist group No Labels - which is contemplating fielding a presidential candidate and was reportedly considering Mr Manchin for the task - released a statement saying its work would continue.

"No Labels is currently speaking with several exceptional leaders about serving on the presidential unity ticket," the group posted on social media. "We are continuing to make great progress on our ballot access efforts and will announce in the coming weeks whether we will offer our line to a unity ticket."

Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, who was reportedly considered by No Labels, announced earlier this week that he would run for his state's open Senate seat as a Republican - effectively removing his name from consideration.

In what is shaping up to be a close race between Mr Biden and Mr Trump, small changes in the preferences of voters could have a significant impact in how the presidency is ultimately decided. In 2020, for example, Mr Biden won three key states - Pennsylvania, Georgia and Wisconsin - by just a combined 44,000 votes.

With several independent candidates already running, including Robert Kennedy Jr and the academic Cornel West, an electoral wild card could still shake up what has been a relatively stable 2024 campaign so far.

#3  I think it's possible Biden will be the candidate if Trump is able to avoid jail. People will vote for Biden over Trump, polls be damned.

#4  I would like to announce my decision not to seek the presidency as well. I know I had a better chance than Manchin, but I can’t do that much beach vacation time. I don’t tan we’ll.
