FBI has its own air force and aerial recce capability.
[Ayepee] WASHINGTON -- The FBI is operating a small air force with scores of low-flying planes across the country carrying video and, at times, cellphone surveillance technology -- all hidden behind fictitious companies that are fronts for the government, The Associated Press has learned.
Why the clandestine cover, is something legally amiss ?
The planes' surveillance equipment is generally used without a judge's approval, and the FBI said the flights are used for specific, ongoing investigations. In a recent 30-day period, the agency flew above more than 30 cities in 11 states across the country, an AP review found.
No court order or legal approval? EO 12333 compliance? No? Ok, we guessed as much.
Aerial surveillance represents a changing frontier for law enforcement, providing what the government maintains is an important tool in criminal, terrorism or intelligence probes. But the program raises questions about whether there should be updated policies protecting civil liberties as new technologies pose intrusive opportunities for government spying.

U.S. law enforcement officials confirmed for the first time the wide-scale use of the aircraft, which the AP traced to at least 13 fake companies, such as FVX Research, KQM Aviation, NBR Aviation and PXW Services. Even basic aspects of the program are withheld from the public in censored versions of official reports from the Justice Department's inspector general.
The IG has 'no need to know.' Can he not be trusted? Very interesting.
"The FBI's aviation program is not secret," spokesman Christopher Allen said in a statement. "Specific aircraft and their capabilities are protected for operational security purposes." Allen added that the FBI's planes "are not equipped, designed or used for bulk collection activities or mass surveillance."
We're just orbiting cellie towers, private residences, border crossings that sort of thing. Amamus Nobis Spectere - very roughly translated, 'we like to watch.'

#1  "The FBI's aviation program is not secret,"

Warrantless surveillance behind front companies? Not secret? Really?

#2  If they weren't trying to hide it... why have front corporations?

#3  Just for the what it's worth department, setting up clandestine arrangements such as these requires a.... great deal of inter-agency coordination. You just don't plop down a gov't gas credit card and say fill'r up please. Lots of other logistical issues are involved, to include registrations, pilot names and licenses, vehicles, maintenance contracts, taxes, hanger fees, security, the list can get quite lengthy.

Did I mention contracts and taxes ?

The mechanisms and legal arrangements for such activities are well established. The proponent government agency is fairly obvious.

#4  and, at times, cellphone surveillance

Dollars to donuts, sniffing cell phones is the primary activity. Warrants? We don' need no stinkin' warrants.

#6  Much like a class-action lawsuit, wherein the plaintiffs are intentionally obfuscated in mass, street scene monitoring won't require a warrant anymore than a prowl car or cameras at stoplights.

#7  Its actually pretty easy to set up. Set up a logistical contract with a part 135 carrier with an owner that is cleared. Have them at busy airports where there is significant corperate or logistical air travel. Pay them to lease specific aircraft. Have the carrier mod the aircraft to spec. The carrier will fly and FBI passengers inside will do the spook work. The contract shows them flying people from one location to another, no one is the wiser.

#8  Looks like our mighty OWG NAU? Unitarian Govt-Congress answer to the FBI-VS-CIA argument over domestic turf jurisdiction + warrantless surveillance is to give the FBI its own air force.

Unfortunately, in covert ops or surveilliance too often the FBI may NOT actually be the FBI despite indicias or evidencias to the contrary.

WHEN IT COMES TO GOING TO JAIL, ETC. FOR BREAKING LAWS, PROTOCOLS GUIDLEINES AND DIRECTIVES, THAT WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE BROKEN, FEDS ARE NO DIFERENT THAN CROOKS IN WANTING TO PASS THE BUCK OR BLAME SOMEONE ELSE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.

#9  I suspect the real news here is that its NOT 1947, + instead of the USAF becoming a separate service from the US Army we may be seeing the consolidation or merging of aspects of the FBI + CIA???

Europe
Africans in Europe is an Existential Question for Estonia Says Former Foreign Minister
[Euro Guardian] Kriistina Ojuland, Estonian MEP and Former Foreign Minister for Estonia, has caused a bit of a stir among leftists and "liberals" after voicing her opinion on mass immigration from Africa. She refuses to back down and stands by her words.

One could only wish that more European politicians understood that the immigration from Africa and other parts outside of Europe isn't a question of just helping people. Especially when our politicians allow these immigrants to invade our society in a permanent manner where they aren't here to seek protection from a conflict in their homeland, but rather to stay and to change the demographics of Europe. This change is permanent and cannot be undone if something drastic isn't done soon. But to think that our traitorous politicians would even consider mass deportations of non Europeans back to their home countries is delusional.

#1  I say set up a foundation: $10,000 and a free one way plane ticket to anyone who is willing to change their citizenship from American/Australian/France/Estonian/etc to someplace in Africa, say, South African/Moroccan/Rwandan/whoever will take them. Hype it up in the media: 'live an authentic African lifestyle/ no white racists around to oppress you / $10,000 walking around money to 'get you settled and start a new life'.

No doubt they'd have to grease some palms in the 'country of destination' to make it happen, but, well worth it. Do the same thing for all the Turks in Germany and all the Pak's in England.

Officials said the patient identified as Mohammad Asif was brought to the CHK at death's door. "He remained in a precarious condition, complaining of severe headache, nausea and irritability for three days and died on late Saturday evening," said Dr Zafar Ejaz while speaking to Dawn.

Officials said the victim was initially treated at some health facilities in Hub for malaria and then for meningitis but when his condition continued to deteriorate the family finally shifted him to the CHK.

All the seven Naegleria-related deaths this year have been reported from hospitals in the metropolis. A 40-year-old man came from Thatta district while apart from a teenage girl victim in Gulistan-e-Jauhar the rest of the six deaths have been reported in May.

Islam against honour killing, say women scholars
[DAWN] About 200 women religious scholars declared here on Sunday that honour killing is not allowed in Islam.
Good luck with that, ladies.
Assembled at the Sheikhatul Hadith conference organised by the Tanzeem Ittehad-i-Ummat, the scholars had come from Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Kasur and Sialkot besides Lahore and a number of them from Karachi, Hyderabad and Rawalpindi.

A declaration issued at the end of the conference said Islam does not allow killing of a mother, sister, daughter or any other woman in the name of honour.

It condemned the acid attacks as the worst sin and heinous crime and said that Islam does not allow even slapping a woman in the face.

The conference saw no harm in a marriage between a boy and a girl of their own free will, but declared marriage of a woman to Quran as haraam. It denounced the tradition of vani as a practice of the Dark Ages and said God does not create woman to be handed over or forcibly married to someone as compensation for the sins of her male relative(s).

The scholars also criticised extremists for stopping girls from getting education and said Islam has made it mandatory for both men and women to get education and that in certain cases a woman may get education from a male teacher.

The conference also declared as lawful for women to drive cars unlike in Saudi Arabia where they are not allowed to do so.

#5  From what I've read there is a divide between what is "Arab" and what is "Islam". Its pretty solidly blended in most of the middle east but when you get out to Indonesia (at least until recently) they were wearing sarongs and such without anyone thinking twice about it.

Wahhabi is forcing more of the 'Arab' into the Islam. That is not saying one is good and the other is bad mind you. Just that they are different and I think the believers play word games with the difference.

CNN Predictably Celebrates 35th Anniversary, hires Another Champ Staffer
[Breitbart] Today, June 1, is the 35th anniversary of the launch of CNN, the first 24/7 cable news network. In keeping with the network's current format as Jeff Zucker's personal, left-wing propaganda machine, the network appropriately announced on the day of its 35th anniversary the hiring of partisan Democrat Dan Pfeiffer as a "contributor."

I would argue, though, that "Obama plant" is a better description:

Network chief Jeff Zucker announced the appointment this morning for the long-time top aide to President Champ. Pfeiffer, one of Champ's longest-tenured strategists, until March was the White House's senior adviser for strategy and communications.

His first presidential campaign role came in a communications post for then-Vice President Al Gore's 2000 campaign. He then worked for the Democratic Governors Association and later Sens. Tim Johnson, Tom Daschle and then Evan Bayh's brief 2008 presidential campaign.

While Champ still sits in the Oval Office, this is the third Champ official hired by CNN. Disgraced 9-11 Truther Van Jones was Champ's Green Jobs Czar. Press Secretary Jay Carney was scooped up by CNN immediately after he left that post.

Shadow POTUS Valerie Jarrett praises Jenner for living authentic
[Breitbart] White House Senior advisor Valerie Jarrett is praising the man once known as Bruce Jenner for announcing via Vanity Fair that would now be known as Caitlyn Jenner.

"Nice to meet you, @Caitlyn_Jenner. The brave choice to live as your authentic self is a powerful example to so many," Jarrett praised Jenner, featuring the Vanity Fair cover on her Twitter account.

Jenner's Vanity Fair cover was widely shared on social media today, but President Obama did not personally address it on his Twitter account.

Jarrett's tweet was the first public reaction from a member of the White House to the news.

#14  It's pretty clear by now the idea behind ValJar's comment is to promote anything that will weaken our country and that includes all manner of perversion, substance abuse and misdirection. Weaken the family, the church, the schools, the police, the military and pretty soon you have a country that is ripe for takeover by the likes of Ms. Jarrett.

Stagewise progression. First hormones, then breast implants, then the final surgery. I hope he doesn't do it -- the regret rate is very high. #22  Probably when we as a society did not outright reject a tv series based upon a boring family whose brand is based upon a self serving mother using her daughter's postmodern lady godiva ride against anonymity.

Every male who comes within contact with that family ends up with problems, usually alcohol abuse.

If I had to guess, I'd guess that there is a lot of catty ganging up on any men associated with the show, especially if on disagrees with one of them, which doesn't make the show.
