Man Killed By Wife Within 15 Minutes Of Being Released From Jail
McMinn County -- A Tennessee man was shot and killed by his wife last Saturday within 15 minutes of his release from jail.
Why so long?
The man was arrested earlier in the day after police arrived on the scene at the Athens Super 8 Motel, responding to a report that Robert Vann Marshall, 34, was suicidal, armed and threatening to kill his wife and children.
No mention of whether they were with him at the time...
Marshall was apprehended at the scene with narcotics and a handgun on his person. Officers also discovered an active order of protection against him. They arrested him on charges of narcotics and firearms, and transported him to the McMinn County Justice Center, where they explained the order of protection. Marshall was ordered to not contact his wife or go to their residence.

He was released at 1:27 p.m after making bond.
So apparently he didn't get the message...
At about 1:38 p.m., 911 received a call from Melissa Marshall, claiming that her husband was attempting to get inside their home. With police on the way, she told dispatchers that Robert Marshall had forced his way inside and that she had shot him. When police arrived at the Marshall residence, they found the front door kicked in and Robert Marshall in a back bedroom with a fatal gunshot to his chest.
Nice shootin', ma'am...
Thus far, no charges have been filed against Melissa Marshall. However, the Attorney General's office has requested an autopsy and the investigation is ongoing.

Sheriff Joe Guy said detectives processed the scene but no charges were filed against Melissa Marshall because it appeared to be a case of self-defense. He also said they will work with the District Attorney Generals office to decide whether or not to present it to a Grand Jury.
Wanna bet that no one cares to turn her into another George Zimmermann?

Santa Rosa man severely burned in cannabis oil explosion
[PRESSDEMOCRAT] A Santa Rosa man with a half-baked plan to manufacture a potent cannabis oil was severely burned in a small explosion inside a residence Tuesday evening.

Miguel Ceja, 31, was trying to make hash oil, commonly known as honey oil, in the bathroom of an apartment at 934 Clark St. when fumes from the process ignited, causing a flash explosion.

"The heat was so intense that the shower curtain was vaporized," Santa Rosa Police Sgt. David Linscomb said.

Ceja's girlfriend took him to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital before firefighters arrived. He was later transferred to St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco for treatment of his burns, which covered more than half his body and are considered life threatening, Linscomb said.

The accident occurred around 7:55 p.m. Evidence at the scene indicated that Ceja had been using butane to extract resin from the leaves and stems of marijuana plants, Linscomb said.

The process is fairly simple, but extremely dangerous because butane fumes are highly combustible. When used in a confined space, butane can ignite when it comes into contact with a heat source, such as a pilot light, Linscomb said.

Polish archaeologists unearth 'vampire grave'
[TELEGRAPH.CO.UK] Archaeologists in Poland believe they have found a vampire grave on a construction site in the south of the country. Skeletons were found with their heads removed and placed on their legs indicating they had been subjected to an execution ritual designed to ensure the dead stayed dead. Anybody accused of being a vampire in the distant past faced a grim fate.
"Aye, grrrrim, laddie! Grrrrim!"
Sometimes they would be decapitated, while another punishment involved hanging from a gibbet until decomposition resulted in the head separating from the body. In both cases the head was then laid on the legs of the victim in the hope that an inability to locate their head would hinder the progress of those intent on rising from the grave.
If a vampire was an undead kinda guy, wouldn't the grrrrim fate await him when he was lying in the grave, waiting for nightfall? So while the fate may have been a bit grisly, I doubt if it was in fact grrrrim, unless they caught the creature whilst actively prowling or flying around in bat form. If he was in human form and didn't turn into a bat and fly away at the first hint of "There's Wladyslav! Get the stake!" he wasn't much of a vampire, was he?

Africa North
Former Minister: Egypt Has Less Than 2 Months Of Wheat Left
[Ynet] Egypt faces serious crisis as lack of cash infringes on ability to import wheat, supply masses with subsidized bread. Will foreign cash help save world's largest wheat importer from starvation?

Egypt has less than two months' supply of imported wheat left in its stocks, ousted President Mohamed Morsi's minister of supplies said, revealing a shortage more acute than previously disclosed.

Speaking to Rooters Thursday in a tent at a vigil where thousands of Morsi supporters are protesting against the Islamist president's removal, former Minister of Supplies Bassem Ouda said the state had just 500,000 tonnes of imported wheat left. Egypt usually imports about 10 million tonnes a year.

Egypt is the world's largest importer of wheat, half of which it distributes to its 84 million people in the form of heavily subsidized saucer-sized flat loaves of bread, which sell for less than 1 US cent. But two and a half years of political turmoil have caused a deep economic crisis in Egypt, scaring away investors and tourists, draining foreign currency reserves and making it difficult to maintain imports of food and fuel.

Bread has long been a sensitive issue in Egypt. Former President Hosni Mubarak
...The former President-for-Life of Egypt, dumped by popular demand in early 2011...
faced unrest in 2008 when the rising price of wheat caused shortages.

Although it also grows its own wheat, Egypt needs huge quantities of foreign wheat with higher gluten content to make flour suitable for bread.
Were I in charge, I'd plant better wheat. But in my universe Allah helps those who help themselves.
The ousted government closely guarded figures about its foreign grain stores even as a shortage of cash halted its imports.

Since Morsi was toppled last week, the United Arab Emirates, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and Kuwait have promised $12 billion in cash, loans and fuel, which economists say buys Cairo several months of breathing room to fix its finances.

Egypt had halted its purchases of international wheat since February -- its longest absence from the market in years -- until the eve of Morsi's overthrow, when the state grain buying agency, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), bought wheat under Ouda's instruction.

"In spite of all the political differences between the parties, the international price of wheat was very nice, we bought about 180,000 tonnes of wheat," the ousted Ouda said.

Apart from imports, Ouda said the government had bought 3.7 million tonnes of home-grown wheat from a harvest that is now finishing. It still has 3 million tonnes of domestic wheat left in its stores, having begun milling the domestic crop in May.

Egypt normally mixes its domestic wheat with equal parts foreign wheat to produce flour. Ouda said Morsi's government had tried to increase the ratio of domestic wheat, which would make the country less dependent on imports.

"Our plan was to increase the contribution of the local wheat. We hoped to reach 60%," Ouda said.

Morsi's government said on June 26 it had 3.613 million tonnes of total wheat but did not reveal how much of that was imported.

Earlier this week a report issued by a US Department of Agriculture (USDA) attaché in Egypt said domestic wheat stocks would last through October at current consumption levels. It gave no estimate for when foreign wheat would run out.

In the past, Egypt maintained stocks of both imported and local wheat that would cover at least six months' needs. While the Gulf Arab states' cash injection is expected to help Egypt replenish its wheat stocks, it will need to start buying soon and in large quantities.

Mugabe Says 'Whole Country' Will Vote for His ZANU-PF Party
[An Nahar] President Bob Muggsy Mugabe
Octogenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case...
kick-started his election campaign Thursday exuding confidence that Zim-bob-weans will vote to extend his 33-year rule when they go to the ballot box in three weeks' time.

"On the 31st of this month the whole country will vote ZANU-PF back into government," 89-year-old Mugabe said in an hour-long speech to some 6,000 supporters in Chiweshe, 120 km (75 miles) north of the capital Harare.

Unleashing his trademark populist bravado, Mugabe doubled down on nationalist rhetoric and hit out at his opponents from the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party, with whom he has been forced to share power for the last four years.

The elections will end that forced and often abusive marriage, but there are mounting fears Mugabe's supporters will not allow the vote to be free and fair or that the voter roll will be rigged.

Previous elections have been marred by bloodshed, to the extent that Mugabe's main rival in 2008, the MDC's Morgan Tsvangirai, felt forced to withdraw despite winning the first round of polling. Tsvangirai later became prime minister as part of the uneasy power-sharing deal.

"We are a party that has meaning to the people, a party that is naturally a people's party, that addresses the needs that are felt by the people," Mugabe said, in a performance seemingly aimed at brushing aside suggestions the octogenarian is no longer fit for the rigors of the campaign trail.

Thousands of supporters clad in green and yellow t-shirts emblazoned with Mugabe's portrait sang and danced as the veteran leader arrived.

Mugabe -- who launched his election campaign last week calling for indigenisation and black empowerment -- said he believes the country must own its vast natural resources.

"As Zim-bob-weans we are owners of our natural resources and therefore our land belongs to us," he said to loud cheers.

"We believe in Africa for Africans, Zim-bob-we for Zim-bob-weans."

Nigeria records nine new polio cases in one week
[Guardian Ng] AFTER about two weeks without recording any case of Wild Polio Virus (WPV), Nigeria Thursday reported nine new cases of the crippling virus, bringing the number of cases for 2013 to 35.

According to the latest edition of Weekly Polio Update published by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), this is despite a sub-national Immunisation Plus Days (IPDs) held from July 6 to 9, 2013 in northern and middle-band states.

However,
some people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them...
Sokoto State is now on the verge of becoming one of the polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...
-free states in the country, Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Healthcare, Ibrahim Jibril Sokoto, has said. While fielding questions from newsmen yesterday, Sokoto, said his optimism was based on the fact that though eight cases of WPV were reported in the state last year, no single case had been reported so far this year.

Sokoto attributed the progress made in the polio eradication fight to the concerted effort of all stakeholders, including the Sultanate Council, following the special measures evolved to achieve maximum coverage.

Economy
Wegmans cuts health benefits for part-time workers
[BUFFALONEWS] Et tu, Wegmans?

The Rochester-based grocer that has been continually lauded for providing health insurance to its part-time workers will no longer offer that benefit.

Until recently, the company voluntarily offered health insurance to employees who worked 20 hours per week or more. Companies are required by law to offer health insurance only to full-time employees who work 30 hours or more per week.

Several Wegmans employees confirmed part-time health benefits had been cut and said the company said the decision was related to changes brought about by the Affordable Care Act.

However,
a clean conscience makes a soft pillow...
part-time employees may actually benefit from Wegmans' decision, according to Brian Murphy, a partner at Lawley Benefits Group, an insurance brokerage firm in Buffalo.

"If you have an employee that qualifies for subsidized coverage, they might be better off going with that than a limited part-time benefit," Murphy said.

That's because subsidized coverage can have a lower out-of-pocket cost for the insured employee while also providing better benefits than an employer-paid plan.

Under the Affordable Care Act, part-time employees are not eligible for health insurance subsidies if their employer offers insurance.

"It's a win-win. The employee gets subsidized coverage, and the employer gets to lower costs," Murphy said.

"As a private company, we don't share specifics of our employee benefits programs. It's a given that health care reform will result in some changes to our benefits program, but it will not change our commitment to meeting the needs of our employees," Wegmans said in a statement.

Turkish Union Blamed for Unrest Accuses Govt of 'Witch Hunt'
[An Nahar] A leading Turkish union involved in fierce anti-government protests that have rocked Turkey on Thursday accused the ruling party of a "witch hunt" after a law was introduced to curb its powers.

Under legislation pushed through earlier this week by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's party, the Turkish Union of Chambers of Architects and Engineers (TMMOB) will lose its authority to approve urban planning projects.

"This is an AKP-engineered law aimed at weakening the union," TMMOB head Mehmet Soganci told Agence La Belle France Presse, referring to Erdogan's Justice and Development Party.

"There is no doubt that the law is directly connected with the Gezi Park movement," he said.

"The ruling party is trying to make the TMMOB pay the price for what happened and has started a witch hunt to create an illegal organization which it can easily blame for the nationwide unrest," he added.

Protests opposing the development of Istanbul's Gezi Park provoked a heavy police response on May 31, mushrooming into mass nationwide demonstrations against Erdogan, viewed by many in Turkey as increasingly authoritarian.

Erdogan ordered a crackdown on the demos, sparking unrest that has left five people dead and some 8,000 injured.

SC calls for vigilance against Jirga system
[Dawn] The Supreme Court ordered law-enforcement agencies on Thursday to remain vigilant and take swift and strict action to ensure that girls and women were not exchanged to settle local disputes through the Jirga system.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry also asked the federal and provincial governments to ensure that people were protected against highhandedness by implementing the court's previous judgments and relevant laws that discouraged the Jirga system.

Under the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act of 2005, section 310A was inserted into the Pakistain Penal Code (PPC) and the custom of giving women for the sake of peace was declared a crime. That section has now been replaced by the Prevention of Anti-Women Practices (Criminal Law Amendment) Act of 2011.

The Supreme Court in its April 24, 2006, verdict had also asked the government to amend section 310 of the PPC or make an insertion in the Family Act of 1964 to dissolve marriages conducted under 'wani'. The court had asked the registrars of the high courts and the presidents and general secretaries of the district and tehsil bar associations to set up legal aid committees to help the victims whenever cases of wani or swara were reported to them.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF Builds Marine Obstacle In Red Sea
[Ynet] Military speeds up Hourglass project to boost Israel-Egypt border amid rising concerns from Sinai chaos. Obstacle to foil breach attempts by divers, jet skis

Against the backdrop of the unrest in Egypt and growing chaos in the Sinai Peninsula, the IDF is planning to erect a several-dozen-meter tall obstruction on the Red Sea naval border between Eilat and Taba.

The obstruction, the final stage of the Hourglass project to boost the border, will be built in the coming year with Egyptian coordination.

The area is a sensitive spot, which according to the IDF Adom Division in control of the district, could be breached by a diver or a jet ski.

Currently, the area is supervised by Israeli Navy ships, Border Patrol officers from a nearby base and other observation posts, both stationery and mobile.

In addition, due to rising concern of rocket fire, detection and alert systems have been connected to sirens spread around Eilat, after a Grad rocket fired from Sinai last week did not start the sirens, as it fell in an open terrain north of the city.

At the same time, construction of the new border fence between Israel and Egypt is on its last and most complicated stage -- breaking through 15 kilometers of cliffs, valleys and crevices in the Eilat Mountains.

So far, only 60% of the last stretch have been completed and it is estimated to be completed during the first quarter of next year.

In the still unobstructed segments, special forces are at work to thwart the infiltration of Death Eaters and smugglers.

According to the IDF, over the last year, dozens of smuggling attempts have been thwarted, thanks in part to the new fence and to dramatic improvement in the observation capabilities in the area.

Olde Tyme Religion
Ramadan Series 'Khaybar' Is A Battle Cry Against Jews
[Jpost] Special holiday show deals with relations between Jews and Arabs in 7th century.

During Ramadan, Mohammedans fast from dawn until dusk, after which they eat and many enjoy television shows made especially for the holiday.

Arab TV satellite channels are airing a series this year called Khaybar, referring to the Mohammedan massacre of the Jews of the town of that name in northwestern Arabia in 628 CE.

After the attack, some Mohammedans, including Muhammad, took surviving women as wives.

The Mohammedan conquerors charged the Jews a 50 percent tax on their crops and in 637, after Muhammad's death, the Caliph Omar expelled the remaining Jews from Khaybar.

In Islamic tradition, the chant "Khaybar Khaybar, ya yahud, Jaish Muhammad, sa yahud," which means, "Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning," is used as a battle cry when attacking Jews or Israelis.

It was, for example, chanted on the Mavi Marmara Gazoo flotilla ship in May 2010.

The show deals with the relationship between the Jews and the Arab tribes of Medina as well as between the Jews of Medina and Khaybar, MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute) reported on Wednesday. One Arab media outlet described the film as demonstrating the Jews' "hostility toward others, their treacherous nature, and their repeated betrayals."

The plot deals with Jews asking Miqdad, an Arab warrior, to fight for them; he refuses to kill women and kiddies and is sent to prison. Another episode, based on Islamic tradition, involves a Jewish woman whose father and brother were killed by Mohammedans and who tries to get Dire Revenge™ by attempting to poison the prophet.

The film was produced by Echo Media, a Qatari company owned by Hashem al-Sayed.

The show is set to air on channels such as Dubai TV, Dream TV (Egypt), Al-Iraqiyya TV, Algerian Channel 3, Atlas TV (Algeria), Qatar TV and UAE TV, according to the MEMRI report.

Sameh al-Sereity, one of the main actors in the show, plays Muhammad ibn Maslamah, the bodyguard of the prophet Muhammad. Sereity told an Egyptian newspaper the show portrays the evolution of Jews' hatred of others.

"The hostility between us and the Jews still exists. The hatred is ingrained. Neither Egyptians nor Arabs need this show to justify their hatred of Zionism. The existing struggles between us provide the simplest proof of this," he said.

Another actor, Ahmad Abd al-Halim, said, "I play one of the Jewish characters, who demonstrates the behavior of the Jewish human being. All he thinks about is accumulating money."

The show's screenwriter, Yusri al-Gindi, said in an interview with Al Jazeera about the series, "The Jews are the Jews. They still act according to their nature, despite the passing generations. They corrupt any society in which they live, and therefore no regime can protect them with any contract or agreement.

The crisis in the Arab world offers the best proof of this, and this is where the show gets its current relevance."

He added, "It happened in Babylon, Rome, Imperial Russia and Hitler's Germany. Later, the West banished them to the Arab region, where they continue to serve it [the West] to this day."

#1  The Arab's capacity for outragious conspiracies never ceases to amaze me. Although the climate zealots are making a strong run for number one spot.

Madonna to be discussed at Polish exorcists meeting
[TELEGRAPH.CO.UK] Long the scourge of the Catholic Church,
Wow. Tha Catholic Church noticed her existence?
Madonna has often triggered Christian ire, once going through a mock crucifixion during one her stage shows.
Which resulted in nothing but money flowing into her bank account. As she gets older it gets a little harder to outre, since most other entertainers are as far into depravity as she is and many moreso. She hasn't yet descended to the level of turning tricks on stage to a disco beat, but her looks are pretty well gone and it should start soon.
Now her music and shows will come under the scrutiny of priests trained in the art of defeating demons,
Good luck widdat.
treating satanic possession and looking for the devil in a section of the conference dedicated to finding evil in popular culture.
There's incomparable evil in popular culture. It would be a lot more effective for society to kill a few of the interconnected little evils than to try and start at the top.
"Part of the conference is dedicated to the hidden subliminal message in communication, and the choice of this subject was inspired by the woman who dares to call herself Madonna," said Father Andrzej Grefkowic, an exorcist and one of the organisers of the conference. "We've been worried about her concerts."
Ummm... That's her name, isn't it? I believe she was actually born with it. I don't think she got those conical thingies for her bewbies until she was three or four, though. Certainment it was after she was weaned.
Although popular in Poland, Madonna has faced frequent protests by conservatives against her shows in a country where the Catholic Church retains considerable influence. She has also had to contest with calls for her concerts to be banned on the grounds she is antireligious and promotes a deviant lifestyle.
Didn't she become a cabalist or something? She learned to predict the future by counting blackheads, I think it was.
Father Grefkowic also warned of a growing risk from Satan, highlighting the increasing popularity of tattoos, body piercing, horoscopes and magic shows as ways evil could corrupt people.
I'd start with the movies, myself. And then move on to music. Computer games. The education system. Comic books. Drugs. Lite beer. The designated hitter thing. You name it, it probably has a whiff of brimstone about it.

The Sources Of Racism

I am so old that I can remember when most of the people promoting race hate were white.

#1  (Sigh) Y'all will call me a Racist, BUT, the fact is that black people operate/think differently from White folks, and I don't like it (Obama) so what?

That makes me a slave beater? (I've never seen a slave)

NO, that makes me a REALIST. It's the way of the world, and I can't change it (I don't try) BUT since it's the way MOST BLACKS THINK AND OPERATE. I'm expecting it.

(And pleasantly surprised when it doesn't happen)

BUT I don't expect they'll change and as a general rule is fine to go by, There's blacks who don't operate that way, and the MSM holds them up and screams SEE, SEE, YOU'RE WRONG AND YOU'RE RACIST.

Enough, the Prisons are full of blacks, and I didn't put them there, they did.
