bringing flowers to a hospital patient is to be discouraged because it's a foreign custom that "imitates Allah's adversaries."

That right there shows a major flaw that will keep that country back for generations. The notion is that a good idea can not come from outside the country and adoption of ideas that originate from outside the country is discouraged. This will prevent the adoption of quite a large number of good ideas and prevent the country advancing.

They are holding themselves back through their religious intolerance. Who invented oil wells? Why are they using them? It would seem that they are inconsistent in their application of the "foreign idea" rule.

China-Japan-Koreas
China: PLA to conduct military exercise
China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) will begin a military exercise on Sunday to test and improve the force's combat capability in high-tech warfare, sources from China's Central Military Commission said Saturday.

The exercise will involve 30,000 soldiers from three divisions across three of China's seven military area commands and include military transport planes, fighter jets and attack helicopters. The drill, which will include infantry forces, paratroopers and air forces, will center around battle scenarios in a "complex information environment" as well as across different terrains and weather conditions, according to sources. The exercise will also include long-distance mobilization of ground and air forces, and test their coordination in defense and striking military targets.

During the drill, the PLA will mobilize civilian passenger aircraft and cargo planes to transport soldiers and military equipment, sources said, adding the date to complete the drill has not yet been announced.
Interesting timing.
Why do you say that?

Dearborn mayor rebukes Sharron Angle's comments
Dearborn Mayor Jack O’ Reilly plans to send Sharron Angle a letter regarding remarks she made recently claiming that his city is being ruled by Islamic law. “She’s doesn’t know what she’s talking about,” said O’Reilly on Friday. “I’m going to send her a letter and invite her to take a tour of Dearborn. I think she would be amazed.”

Angle recently told an audience of supporters that the country needs to address a “militant terrorist situation” that has allowed Sharia to take hold in some American cities, citing Dearborn as an example.

In a recording of the gathering given to the Associated Press by the Mesquite Local News, a man asks Angle: “I keep hearing about Muslims wanting to take over the United States ... on a TV program just last night, I saw that they are taking over a city in Michigan and the residents of the city, they want them out. They want them out. So, I want to hear your thoughts about that.”

Angle responded that “we’re talking about a militant terrorist situation, which I believe it isn’t a widespread thing, but it is enough that we need to address, and we have been addressing it.”

“My thoughts are these, first of all, Dearborn, Michigan and Frankford, Texas, are on American soil, and under constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don’t know how that happened in the United States,” she said. “It seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with allowing a foreign system of law to even take hold in any municipality or government situation in our United States.”

O’Reilly stated that Angle should know that “the U.S. Constitution is the greatest protection against Sharia law and any government-controlled religion.” He said that Angle should realize that not everyone who comes from the Middle East is Muslim.

By all means tour Dearborn -- City of the future: Come see the destitute economy; Stay for the seething sense of tribal entitlement.

Sorry Jack-O but Nevadans are not migrating to Michigan, it's been the other way for the past four decades, or hadn't you noticed?

Dearborn cops arrested four Christian preachers for proselytizing at a Muslim event. Imagine the press furor if Muslim preachers had been arrested at a non-Muslim event. Note that the article did not refer to the Dearborn arrests, and generally made Angle sound like a kook.

#5  "I'm going to send her a letter and invite her to take a tour of Dearborn. I think she would be amazed."

Just remember to stay away from certain areas, certain subjects and certain times of year.

And give Jack a choice: Burn a Holy Crayon at a mosque near Ramalamadingdong Ramadan, or a bible near a churge at Easter. Even with a Christian majority, you'd be safer burning the bible.

The Constitution is merely a temporary tool to use against us by muslims. Not all of them, of course. Just the ones with guns.

And Sharron may be a bit dingy, but at least she seems to have her heart in the right place.

And she has ears.

#6  Haven't followed the Nevada race closely but one must keep in mind that Harry Reid has spent millions beating on Angle in the last few months and most of the press there is in the Democratic pocket. It's amazing she is still showing a small lead after all of the demonizing she has been subject to.

- And what is this type of clothing that we are wearing ?

- And what are these ugly shoes that we have on our feet ?

- These are "babouches", which keep us from burning our feet when in the desert !

- Yes, my son ?

- ... Why are we living in Dearborn and still wearing all this shi* ?

#10  Dearbornistan...I grew up just a little ways from there. A couple decent neighborhoods w/Chaldeans and Lebanese christians - mainly your 7/11 owners. The muzzies seemed to jump on the pure gas station businesses - go figure. All the previous groups I mentioned dislike blacks and vice versa from what I eye-witnessed. Pretty funny in a dry sorta way - the racism between the two groups made any black vs white issues seem tame by comparison.

Dasti diverted floodwaters to Christian village, killed 15: report
[Pak Daily Times] The Punjab government has called an inquiry report regarding a news item published in Italian newspaper Awenire in which the paper alleged that a Pakistani politician had ordered the diversion of floodwaters into a Christian village, killing at least 15 people, in an attempt to save his personal property.

The Punjab government has called this report after receiving a circular issued by the Interior Ministry, in which it was stated that a local politician of Muzaffargarh, Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti, had ordered the diversion of floodwaters into a Christian village, killing at least 15 people, in an attempt to save his personal property. Due to this act, the Christian locality (Khokharabad) was completely flooded, causing damage to crops and leaving 337 homeless. A local politician ordered the building of a dam to divert the floodwater through the village to save some of his own property. The foreign media reported that the Khokharabad inhabitants were not notified and therefore were unable to escape before their village was swept away.

One of the village leaders, Taj Masih, said, "Our village was flooded on purpose. Dasti, just to save his own land, preferred to leave 377 people without homes or harvest, our only source of livelihood. Now we have nothing." Local authorities are denying responsibility for the decision to erect the dam.
