Fresh $40 Million Cash Reaches Kabul: Afghanistan Central Bank
[KhaamaPress] Afghanistan Central Bank on Tuesday announced that a fresh $40 million cash package has reached Kabul, and deposited in a private bank.

Afghanistan central bank also known as ’Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) in a statement said on Tuesday that the Afghan Interim Regime appreciates the moves which lead to the inflow of cash to the country.

The central bank has stated that the government appreciates the international community’s support in shipping cash into the country aimed at helping vulnerable families during these difficult times, as the country is wrestling with economic and humanitarian crises.

This comes as Pak Rupee and Iranian Rial have rapidly depreciated over the past weeks, whereas, Afghani has remained quite stable, mainly due to the inflow of the international community’s cash aid packages to Afghanistan.

Over the past year and a half, millions of dollars have been shipped to Kabul, being reported by Taliban
...Arabic for students...
officials in a regular manner. Furthermore, DAB auctions USD in a regular manner, aimed at stabilizing the value of the local currency against foreign currencies, USD, in particular.

The critics of the ruling regime say that the Taliban are the primary beneficiaries of the International Humanitarian Cash Aid Packages than ordinary people who struggle for survival.

Previously, Ahmad Massoud, the Leader of the Afghanistan National Resistance® Front (NRF) had said that the Taliban regime will collapse as soon as the $40 million weekly cash package is cut short.

United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) had earlier clarified that cash packages shipped to Afghanistan are deposited in UN accounts in a private bank, and will be used by UN agencies solely for the purpose of humanitarian aid and other supportive programs. The money will not be handed over to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the announcement said.

Over 80,000 Drug Addicts Collected After Islamic Emirate Came to Power: MoI
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Interior said that more than 80,000 drug addicts were collected from across the country after the Islamic Emirate swept into power.

Speaking at a presser in Kabul on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry’s front man, Abdul Nafay Takor, said that the over 5,000 people have been arrested on charges of being involved in drug dealing.

He said that more than 200 drug factories have been destroyed.

"After the (Islamic Emirate took power), the drug addicts were collected. They are 82,000, of whom 26,850 have been collected from Kabul," Takor said.

A front man for the Ministry of Public Health, Sharafat Zaman Amerkhail said there are a total of 60 rehabilitation centers with 10 of them dedicated to women and kiddies in the country.

He said that more than 28,000 drug addicts have been treated'.

"The Ministry of Public Health based on its plan and commitment over the past one and a half years in 34 provinces of the country, has activated the rehabilitation centers for drug addicts. It has a public awareness conference about addiction. It has held meetings at local levels for countering narcotics and it also released public awareness in printed pieces," Amerkhail said.

"We are thankful to these people for all the services they provided. We hope they would be cooperative in the maintenance of the city," said Nematullah Barakzai, an official at the Kabul Municipality.

The Interior Ministry vowed to have a plan on track to identify the lands which are being cultivated with poppy in rural areas.

270,000 Refugees Returned From Iran in Past 6 Months
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said that over 270,000 Afghan refugees over the past six months--at least 100,000 lacking legal documents--were deported.

A front man for the ministry, Abdul Mutalib Haqqani, said between 2,000 to 3,000 refugees return via the Islam Qala and Milat gate every day.

"Over the past six months, nearly 270,000 Afghans have returned to the country and 100,000 of them are those Afghans who have been forcefully deported," he said.

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees said on Twitter that the UNHCR is committed to supporting returnee refugees and internally displaced Afghans rebuild their lives and strengthen community resilience.

The people who have returned to the country said poverty was the main reason for the legal and illegal migration.

"I went to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
two months ago, the Iranian police captured us on the Ottoman Turkish border and brought us back to Tehran and from there to Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
," said a returnee.

"I call on the government to help us. There is no work here, the people are forced to leave," said Abdul Naseer, a returnee.

Earlier, the embassy of Iran
...The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both...
in Kabul said that over six million Afghan refugees--two million lacking legal documents--are living in Afghanistan.
I suspect the reporter meant in Iran. As written it makes no sense.

Former ISIS Member Shamima Begum Loses UK Citizenship Appeal
Good.
[NPASyria] A judge ruled on Wednesday that UK citizenship would not be restored to the former British national of Bangladeshi descent. Begum joined the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) in Syria at age 15. She was stripped of her British citizenship by the UK Home Secretary in 2019.

Since the fall of the ISIS caliphate, Begum has been held in various camps run by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). Currently, she is held at Roj camp, which holds around 2.600 former ISIS members. A majority are foreign nationals. The AANES has repeatedly called for their repatriation.

Since her arrest in 2019, Begum has repeatedly appealed against the UK government’s decision and asked to be repatriated in order to challenge it in person. Human rights groups say the government’s move was illegal, as it left Begum stateless.

Begum has received widespread media attention in Europe. Most recently, she was the subject of a BBC documentary film and a podcast series. Since her arrest, the now-23-year-old has denounced ISIS and said she regrets her decision to join the holy warrior group.

#1  ISIS was supported by Britain, Israel, US and literally all of the Gulf and Turkiye at one point. This proves they always ditch their useful idiots when no longer convenient and are perennially perfidious and untrustworthy. Saddam Hussein was once a US "ally". Bin Ladin was a C.I.A "asset" once. The Taliban were also US "allies". The Kurds will get ditched. Ukrainians too. Taiwanese. You get the drift. Flirting with these snakes is a very BAD idea in the first place. No wonder why they prey on desperation.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Why the Islamic world refrains from sanctions against Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Semenov

[REGNUM] The United States and its allies continue to put pressure on the countries of the Islamic world and, above all, the states of the Middle East and North Africa so that they join the anti-Russian sanctions and take steps to politically isolate Moscow.

In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and in the Islamic world as a whole, they closely followed the message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. Leading mass media in the region collected expert opinions and forecasts in advance regarding the future speech of the head of the Russian state.

As Saad Khalaf, a candidate of historical sciences, an Egyptian journalist and an expert on Arab-Russian issues, told REGNUM, most of the theses from the speech of the Russian president were positively received in Arab expert circles:

“The Arab public is sympathetic to Russian positions, including those voiced during Putin's address. As you know, the East respects the strong, so if Russia continues to be strong and achieve its goals, as it claims, this will positively affect its authority in the Middle East.

Of course, there are certain problems that relate to the course of the military operation, but even here there are different points of view among the Arabs. But in any case, the Russian economy remains strong, and this is not only confirmed by the statements of the Russian president, but also by the reports of influential international structures, including the IMF," the analyst said.

According to Khalaf, the Russian president's statements regarding the suspension of Russia's participation in the New START also attracted attention in the Arab world. It is hoped in the Middle East that such steps will not lead to an increase in the threat of a nuclear conflict.

According to experts from the government circles of the MENA region, which is mostly supported by the local press, the United States and NATO, through the hands of the Kiev regime, are waging a proxy war against Russia

These assessments and the statements of the Russian side are in complete agreement. And the fact that Russia is not going to retreat and change its approaches, despite the buildup of military assistance to Ukraine, also has a positive effect on the country's image in the Middle East.

THE ISLAMIC WORLD IS TRUE TO ITS POSITION
The growth of military supplies from the United States and NATO countries against the backdrop of Kiev's lack of success will have a positive (from the point of view of Russian interests) impact on the Muslim street, and through it on the leadership of Muslim states.

The negative impression for Moscow that Russia is not capable of coping with Ukraine has gradually been reversed: it is the entire collective West that is not capable of coping with Russia.

This change of mood is the result of an active anti-Russian information campaign by Western countries themselves. In the Middle East, it is perceived as the direct participation of the US and NATO in the war against Russia.

The economic factor still forces the Islamic world to look at Russia as a promising partner, and not a weakening player. The measures taken by Moscow do not allow anti-Russian sanctions to undermine the Russian economy and are highly appreciated by the MENA states.

Among them there is no disappointment in the possibilities of Russia and its potential. Hence the continued interest not only in political, but also in economic ties with Moscow and the refusal to join the anti-Russian sanctions. And this position of the countries of the region has not undergone any revision during the year of the NWO.

Ukraine in the current conflict is part of a broad Western bloc led by the US and NATO and is waging war by proxy. At the same time, for a large part of the "Muslim street" Washington and Brussels are trying to fight not only with Russia, but also pose an existential threat to the Muslim world.

The West seeks to spread its values, and this pressure will only increase, including through sanctions and forceful instruments. The same "price ceilings" and other restrictive measures that are being tested in Russia today can be applied to Muslim countries tomorrow.

In Muslim states, they are aware that part of the long-term strategy of the West is the transformation of the Islamic world into a part of the global Western system, and the introduction of their own ideology is an instrument of this policy.

To do this, the West also uses loyal Muslim groups that are ready to pursue its interests (how can one not recall the American congresswoman Ilhan Omar , who outwardly has all the "attributes" of a Muslim woman, but it is she who initiates a bill in support of LGBT directed against Muslim Brunei).

Moscow does not try to impose its own values and principles and ideas alien to the Muslim peoples. Russia is a serious obstacle to the continuation of the expansionist policy of the West towards the Islamic world.

In the end, the withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan, according to American experts themselves, became a necessary condition in order to concentrate forces against Russia. As long as much of the West's energy is directed towards Russia, the Islamic world is not under the pressure it could face.

The Muslim communities understand this and are far from unambiguously taking the side of the West in the current conflict, despite some disagreements with Russia, which, however, are not insoluble.

BUT THE PRESSURE GOES ON
The US and its allies continue to put pressure on the countries of the Islamic world (and primarily the MENA) so that they join the anti-Russian sanctions and take steps to politically isolate Moscow.

In early February, US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Brian Nelson toured the Middle East, visiting the UAE, Oman and Turkey. However, there is practically no information about its results, which most likely indicates the absence of significant results of the trip.

Apparently, Washington is aware that attempts to put pressure on these countries can lead to an even worse deterioration of relations between them and the United States. Ankara or Abu Dhabi have long been immune to American threats and are ready to make sacrifices in order to demonstrate their own sovereignty.

Let us recall the sanctions against Turkey and Ankara’s forced withdrawal from the F-35 program due to the “S-400 case” or the US refusal to deliver the same F-35s to the UAE due to Abu Dhabi’s unwillingness to revise its contracts with Beijing in the field of information technologies.

Now the Americans are not focusing on trade and economic ties in principle, but only on certain types of dual-use goods supplied to Russia, and on the interaction of Ankara and Abu Dhabi with Moscow in those areas that allegedly can be used for military purposes.

Despite pressure from Washington and Brussels, the Gulf monarchies not only continue to pursue a policy favorable to Russia to diversify their economic and security ties, but appear to have made this trend irreversible.

Hence the harsh criticism of Washington in connection with the disagreement of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi to pursue a pricing policy within the framework of OPEC and OPEC + in the interests of the White House. The American side did not hesitate to baselessly accuse Saudi Arabia of direct collusion with Russia because of its refusal to increase oil production and even threatened to revise relations with the country's de facto ruler, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

The UAE also turned out to be immune to signals from Washington and continued to develop trade and economic ties with Russia. The Emirates have turned into a kind of refuge for many Russian businessmen who find themselves under Western sanctions, who can conduct their foreign economic activity from there. And the volume of mutual trade between Russia and the UAE in 2022 exceeded $7.5 billion compared to $5.5 billion in 2021.

The participation of Russian specialists in possible joint projects with the UAE for the production of one or another high-tech product, such as weapons , can ensure the flow of the necessary technologies to Russia itself.

The Sultanate of Oman, a neighbor of the UAE, against the backdrop of the ongoing NWO, began to increase purchases of meat and grain in Russia, signing relevant agreements at the end of 2022.

Turkey continues to play a leading role as Russia's main partner in circumventing sanctions. Although there were negative moments here, for example, the refusal of Turkish banks from the Russian payment system Mir, but this did not affect the general favorable background for both countries of interaction.

The development of relations allowed Moscow and Ankara to reach a record trade turnover of $ 60-70 billion in 2022 (which is two to three times more than in previous years).

In the summer of 2022, the Italian edition of Corriere della sera, relying on the Italian National Institute of Statistics, reported that in the first 6 months of 2022, Italian exports to Turkey reached 1.4 billion euros. This is a record figure over the past 10 years.

If we correlate this fact with the accelerated depreciation of the Turkish currency and the extremely high level of inflation, then from an economic point of view, this phenomenon is difficult to explain. Nevertheless, a cross-sectional analysis of trade relations between the three countries may indicate Turkey's intermediary function in the supply of sanctioned goods to Russia.

And this applies not only to Italy, but also to a number of other states.

The growth in trade, along with Russian initiatives to create a gas hub, gives hope that regardless of who ends up in power in the 2023 elections, Turkey will remain interested in developing economic ties with Russia that seriously support the Turkish economy and will not join the anti-Russian sanctions .

If certain countries of the Islamic world were forced to succumb to the pressure of the West, they also tried to compensate for this with new steps and initiatives towards Russia, thereby maintaining a balance.

So, for example, Rabat went to meet Washington by supplying its T-72 tanks to Ukraine (albeit through intermediaries). But at the same time, Morocco is turning into an important element in circumventing anti-Russian sanctions. This concerns the export of Russian oil using "grey schemes" .

In the same way, one should not consider the voting of the states of the Islamic world on one or another anti-Russian resolution at the UN as a clear demonstration of support for Kyiv and the West's actions against Russia. For the MENA states, such votes are often a forced concession. It allows them to maintain a balance of interests between the West and Russia.

In particular, the Arab monarchies of the Gulf or, for example, Egypt use their support for anti-Russian resolutions as an argument for refusing to join unilateral sanctions against Russia. They indicate to the representatives of the West that they have already indicated their position, meeting their wishes.

But this is where their concessions end, and all requests on sanctions and other anti-Russian issues will continue to be rejected.

Not wrong.

If one subscribes that Brandon is a continuation of Obama era policies, perhaps even making up for time from a Trump hiccup, it wasn't that long ago these people initiated a coup in Egypt, were instrumental in was sold as anti-Assad coalition which became ISIS, overturned a Khadaffi win into an assassination, openly discussed an overthrow of the Saudi Arabia government.

Then there is Afghanistan. Educating the women and children, great idea. Except what they were teaching is the same shit we saw during Covid lockdowns: we are going to teach how strong Western Values are by destroying the foundation of Western Valuse. And you can be gay.

Afghan Central Bank Welcomes US Court Ruling on $3.5 Billion
[ToloNews] A district court judge in New York denied an attempt by the relatives of victims of the 9/11 attacks to seize $3.5 billion in Afghan assets.

Judge George B. Daniels of the Southern District of New York in a 30-page opinion letter said that the victims seizing those assets would amount to a ruling that the "Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
" are Afghanistan's legitimate government.

He also said that the court lacks the power to reach that conclusion and noted that that the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us...
does not recognize the "Taliban" as Afghanistan's government.

"The Taliban, not the former Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan or the Afghan people--must pay for the Taliban's liability in the 9/11 attacks," he said.

The Central Bank of Afghanistan meanwhile called for the lifting of sanctions on the Afghan assets, saying that the foreign reserves should be used for support of Afghanistan’s financial system.

"Da Afghanistan Bank, as the country’s Central Bank that has the responsibility for the management of the Afghan assets, welcomes the decision of the district court of the US to not grant the Afghan assets to the victims of 9/11," said Hassibullah Noori, a front man for the Central Bank.

"The government of Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass. Don't say he didn't warn us...
froze the Afghan assets in New York to determine who has legal access to these assets," said Seyar Qureshi, an economist.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Afghanistan Permanent Mission to the UN, Naseer Ahmad Faiq, on Twitter praised the decision.

He also said he appreciated the "Open Society Justice Initiative and the legal team for their full support and tireless efforts."

"All victims of terrorism deserve justice and compensation but from the real perpetrators," he said.

This comes as a member of the Afghan Central Bank's supreme council, Shah Mehrabi, said that the Central Bank needs to engage with US’s council to defend the $3.5 billion assets.

"The plaintiffs now will appeal to the second circuit court and I expect they will also increase their lobbying efforts in Congress to obtain direct judgement against Da Afghanistan Bank," he said.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs said that the release of the assets would be effective for the economic development in Afghanistan.

"In the current situation, our people need humanitarian assistance. The release of the Afghan assets—as reserves and trade and trade accreditation of the country, has a direct impact on the economic and livelihood situation," said Abdul Rahman Habib, a front man for the Ministry of Economy.

In February 2022, US President Joe Biden split the frozen Afghan assets into two parts, reserving about half to be spent on helping the Afghan people while leaving the remaining $3.5 billion for the families to seek in court.

An airstrike in Damascus over the weekend that was attributed to Israel targeted a meeting of Syrian and Iranian experts in producing drones, according to a report Wednesday.

Syria has said five people were killed and 15 maimed in the attack on Saturday night. The Israeli military has not commented on the strike, per its policy of not generally commenting on air raids in Syria. Israeli officials have previously said the IDF does not target civilians and seeks to avoid damage to residential areas as much as possible.

Citing an unnamed source close to the Syrian government, Rooters said the strike hit the meeting of experts in a residential neighborhood of Damascus.

"The strike hit the center where they were meeting as well as an apartment in a residential building. One Syrian engineer and one Iranian official — not high-ranking — were killed," the source said.

According to a second source quoted in the report, the gathering was held "in an Iranian military installation in the basement of a residential building inside a security compound." The source said that among those killed was a civil engineer in the Syrian army who worked at the Scientific Studies and Research Center, which has been linked to Syria’s chemical weapons

program.

An additional source said an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps engineer involved with Iranian missile development was seriously hurt in the strike and sent to a hospital in Tehran for treatment.

A fourth source who spoke with Rooters said the target of the attack was part of an IRGC-led covert guided-missile manufacturing program, while a fifth source reported Iranian officials and members of Lebanon Hezbollahstan

Iran’s foreign ministry condemned the strike on Sunday, but did not mention any Iranian casualties.

It was also denounced by Russia, which like Iran

is a key backer of the Syrian regime in the over decade-long civil war, as a "flagrant violation" of international law.

Israel’s need to coordinate with Russia — which largely controls Syrian airspace — to carry out strikes has been cited as a chief reason for Jerusalem’s reluctance to supply Kyiv with weaponry amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Israel has found itself at odds with Russia as it increasingly supported Ukraine while seeking to maintain freedom of movement in Syria’s skies.

"We strongly urge the Israeli side to stop armed provocations against the Syrian Arab Republic and refrain from steps that are fraught with dangerous consequences for the entire region," Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Sunday, according to Rooters.

Syrian state media has reported the strike in Kafar Sousah killed four civilians and one soldier, and maimed another 15 civilians, along with inflicting heavy damage on a number of residential buildings in the area.

Imad Mughniyeh, a notorious Hezbollah terror chief, was allegedly assassinated by Israel in a 2008 bombing in Kafar Sousah, close to where Saturday night’s strike took place.
