UN Reaches Deal with Taliban to Set Up Schools in Afghanistan
[ToloNews] The United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
has reached an agreement with the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
leadership to set up thousands of schools in areas under their influence in Afghanistan.

According to the plan, UNICEF, the UN’s children’s body, at least 4,000 informal schools will operate in Taliban-influenced areas in the country.

The Telegraph reports that the deal has been achieved after months of negotiations with krazed killer envoys in Doha.

According to the Telegraph, the agreement covers education for both boys and girls but will begin with classes for just the first three grades of primary school.

UNICEF said it hoped the agreement would reach more than 120,000 young children in a country where an estimated 3.7 million are out-of-school, three-fifths of them girls, the Telegraph reported.

Some Afghans welcomed the plan with the hope to allow more children to go to schools. But some said that similar textbooks should be taught in the schools that are planned to be established in Taliban-influenced areas.

"The peace talks are one of the motives for the Taliban to show flexibility," said Matiullah Sarwar, a journalist.

"Many children are out of school. We welcome this agreement," said Malik Abulbari, a Pashtun-infested Logar resident.

The government so far has not commented on the UN and the Taliban’s decision.

"The textbooks that we study at school should be taught there. New books should not be added," said Sahar Ali Zada, a student from Kabul.

'Sensitive Military Equipment Given to Afghan Forces Unaccounted'
[ToloNews] The US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) in a report released on Thursday says the Defense Department has failed to keep track of surveillance systems, controls for laser-guided bombs, night-vision devices and other equipment provided to the Afghan government.

The report says that since 2001, the US has made training and equipping the Afghan forces a priority of its reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan.

To support this priority, from fiscal year 2002 through 2017, the most recent year for which data are available), the US government transferred to the Afghan government more than $28 billion worth of defense articles and services, including weapons, ammunition, vehicles, night-vision devices, aircraft, and surveillance systems.

The report says the US Congress has mandated that the US government ensure that countries receiving defense articles and services appropriately use and secure them through a program called end-use monitoring.

The goods transferred to the Afghan government are "some of the most sensitive of all defense articles" and were supposed to be fully inventoried by the US every year, to ensure they were being used for their intended purpose and were not transferred to a third party without US government consent, according to the report.

But only 40% of the sensitive articles given to the Afghans were inventoried between May 2019 and April 2020, the report says, adding that about 5% of items that were supposed to have been tracked since October 2016 have never been inventoried at all.

Inadequate tracking means that "sensitive technology remains susceptible to theft or loss," and the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, which is responsible for monitoring the equipment, is less able to verify that Afghan units "are using these articles in accordance with their transfer agreements," the report said.

Two years ago, Afghan forces told the US monitors that 19 of 48 US-provided night-vision devices had fallen into enemy hands and 29 were listed as destroyed, damaged or lost, the report mentioned.

Security constraints and travel limitations in Afghanistan make it difficult to monitor the US-provided equipment and how it's being used, the report said.

Although US monitors aren't required to complete enhanced inspections when security conditions prevent them from doing so, "not conducting all of the inspections limits the command’s ability to verify reported numbers of lost and destroyed articles, and discover additional broken or missing articles the (Afghan forces) may not have reported," SIGAR said.

SIGAR recommended that US Defense Department change its monitoring procedures to make them more suitable for Afghanistan.

Sudan said to revoke citizenship of top Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, others
[IsraelTimes] The reported move, in possible effort to show country is fighting rather than backing terrorism, comes days after US removed Khartoum from blacklist of state sponsors of terror.

Sudan has revoked the citizenship of top Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, leader, Khaled Mashaal, as well as that of some 3,000 other foreign nationals, according to multiple Sudanese outlets and other Arabic media in recent days.

The move comes after the US earlier this week removed Sudan from its state sponsors of terrorism blacklist and declared a "fundamental change" in relations, less than two months after the Arab nation pledged to normalize ties with Israel.

#1  Rached Ghannouchi of Tunisia was for years a close associate of noted Sudanese Islamist Hasan al-Turabi. Ghannouchi and Turabi, with the support of Osama bin Laden visited the Saudi royals in the advent to the US invasion of Kuwait. All three tried to influence Saudi Arabia to expel American forces from Islam's Holy Land. They did not succeed. However, shortly thereafter Bin Laden fled his homeland and moved to the Sudan. And the rest, as they say, is history.

USAID delivers $20 million in wheat to Sudan
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The United States has delivered $20 million worth of wheat to the World Food Programme (WFP) to relieve the acute food shortage in Sudan.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), an American federal agency responsible for administering humanitarian foreign aid, donated 65,000 tons of wheat to reduce bread costs in Khartoum following a pledge made in November.

The contribution addresses Sudan’s wheat shortages "because of a challenging economy, historic floods earlier this year, and the pandemic of COVID-19," according to the agency’s statement.

Recent floods have led to internal displacement, water pollution, and agricultural devastation during a year in which Sudan has already faced record-setting economic crashes and one of the highest inflation rates in the world.

Relations between the U.S. and Sudan, however, have significantly improved after the latter’s removal from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list on Monday. The Transition Government has made efforts to initiate diplomatic relations with Israel, a move which has been approved and praised by the U.S. government.

"This agreement is part of the United States’ robust assistance in Sudan, which totalled nearly $437 million in humanitarian assistance in Fiscal Year (FY) 2020, including more than $32 million to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic," said the USAID

"The United States looks forward to a new era of cooperation with the Transitional Government, civil society, and the private sector in Sudan to bring stability and prosperity to the Sudanese people," it added.

The agency further highlighted the U.S. government’s dedication to encouraging anti-violence and food security in Sudan through grants and grain contributions.

#1  Where is the rest of the World on Africa?

Why is it USA is always the feeders of African nations?

Think deeper about this....
While we (The USA) have been working to restore order, and feed the masses in the Middle East and Africa. We have a Socialist Democrat Party of Radicals & Reverends calling the USA, population, Trump & his administration RACISTS.

How easily some are conned, and lead by the nose every election for the last 50++ years.
An by the very same party that enslaved them and Jim Crowed the Black Community to death....literally.

#2  Just for a moment please, forget about the poor and starving homeless who "will always be among us". Now, with those people forgotten, why would USAID have an interest in any country, in anything ?

And there you have it. It's not about hunger or peace, it's about power and influence. It always had been, it always will be.

Burhan inspects Sudanese troops deployed on Ethiopian border
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The head of the Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan Thursday inspected the Sudanese troops deployed on the eastern border, following an attack by the Æthiopian forces and its Amhara Lions of Islam on Tuesday.

The Sudanese government and political groups voiced their support to the national army and condemned a coordinated attack by the Æthiopian army from the neighbouring Amarah region.

The attack, intervened as Addis Ababa sought Sudan’s neutrality in the conflict with the recalcitrant TPLF of the Tigray Region and after the deployment of Sudanese troops along the border.

In a short statement released on Thursday, the Sudanese army stated that al-Burhan was in Gadaref to inspect the Eastern Command and the troops deployed along the border with Æthiopia.

He was accompanied by the Chief of Staff Mohammed Osman al-Hussein and senior military commanders.

In a short extract of his speech to the troops released after the visit, al-Burhan who spent most of his carrier in the border army enumerated all border towns with the neighbouring countries and vowed to defend it.

An army officer and three soldiers were killed, in addition to 27 soldiers injured during the attack on Tuesday evening the Æthiopian army.

Sudanese soldiers who were part of the border patrol attacked by the Æthiopian army in Abu Teyyour told the Sudan Tribune on Thursday that the ambush was carried out by the Æthiopian army.

The Sudanese army force "came under artillery shelling from the Æthiopian troops that sneaked into the Jebel al-Teyyour area at a depth of 7 km in the Sudanese territory," a soldier told the Sudan Tribune.

He further said they were surprised by the heavy shelling and attacks from several sides.

"The attack tactic suggests that it was the work of organized forces and not just militias," he further said.

Other military told the Sudan Tribune that assailants belong to the Amhara ethnic group intending to stop the deployment of the Sudanese army in the areas cultivated inside the Sudanese territory by Æthiopian farmers.

The Amhara Region army and militias are heavily involved in the war against the TPLF of Tigray Region.

The former President Omer al-Bashir had ordered to tolerate the presence of Æthiopian farmers in the Sudanese border area. However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
al-Burhan seemed determined to change the situation, after the regime change in Khartoum.

Britain
UK cell provider accused of letting Israeli spy outfit track phones worldwide
[IsraelTimes] Rayzone Group, which advertises its phone tracking tech, says it only works with governments after report says Channel Islands telecom leased it an access point into global network

The Israeli private intelligence firm Rayzone Group used a cellphone carrier in the UK’s Channel Islands to gain access to the global telecommunications network, enabling it to track the location of any cellphone user across the globe.

Sure Guernsey, a wireless services provider in the Channel Islands, leased an access point in the telecommunication network to Rayzone in 2018, according to invoices seen by the Guardian and the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, an independent journalism outfit.

The access point gave the Israeli firm access to a network used to track roaming charges, but which could also be exploited to track the locations of phones across the globe.

Rayzone markets a service on its website known as "GeoMatrix," which claims to provide the real-time location of any cellular user worldwide.

The Tel Aviv-based company claims its geolocation tools are only provided to governmental authorities.

Industry and security experts told the Guardian that intelligence firms will often use small mobile operators, based on tiny islands in offshore jurisdictions as ways to exploit the telecoms network, especially regarding the islands of Guernsey and Jersey as potentially soft routes into UK phone networks.

Rayzone declined to divulge the purpose of its access via the Sure Guerney network. It told the Guardian doing so "entails regulatory and trade secret issues and a risk to our customers’ ongoing operations against terror and severe crime."

The mobile operator, Sure Guernsey responded to the Guardian by saying "Sure does not lease access to global titles directly or knowingly to organizations for the purposes of locating and tracking individuals or for intercepting communications content," adding that any abuse of their infrastructure would lead them to immediately terminate the service.

Rayzone Group is far from the first Israeli intelligence firm to be scrutinized over its use of spyware to track cellphone users.

Most notably, Herzliya-based NSO group is being sued by Facebook over its alleged hacking of Whatsapp on behalf of clients. It has been accused of selling its Pegasus 3 hacking software to regimes that use the technology to track opponents, including in Mexico and the Persian Gulf.

The software allows the operator access to a device within several hours, simply by supplying the program with the phone number of the device one wants to hack, with no action required by the targeted user.

Europe
EU Allocates 6 bn Euros Sought by Turkey for Refugees
When the neo-Ottoman sultan Erdogan Recep Tayyip I, “the much beloved” demands jizya, O EU dhimmis, it is your job to ask how much and how soon, no more than that.
[AnNahar] The EU announced Thursday that it has allocated to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
the full six billion euros Ankara sought in return for its hosting of Syrian refugees.

After the biggest refugee crisis since World War II in 2015 saw a million people arrive in Europe, Brussels and Ankara agreed in 2016 to resolve the issue.

Under the deal, Turkey pledged to accept the return of migrants colonists arriving in Greece and do more to stop the flow in exchange for six billion euros ($7.20 billion).

President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
has accused the EU of not fulfilling promises and says Ankara has spent $40 billion on more than 3.6 million Syrian refugees living in Turkey.

"Today marks the finalisation of the contracting of six billion euros in EU support to refugees and host communities in Turkey," said Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, the bloc's envoy to Ankara.

The two sides have "put an important milestone behind us and (will) now focus on making sure that the refugees and host communities will benefit from our projects."

The EU money has been earmarked for specific social projects inside Turkey for helping refugees and will not be paid directly to the Ottoman Turkish government.

The issue has put a significant strain on relations between the bloc and Turkey.

Earlier this year, Erdogan said Turkey would not prevent migrants colonists from leaving for EU territory but later rescinded the threat.

He sought to pressure Brussels into providing more support to Turkey in view of the Syrian conflict, especially after violence flared in the northwestern region of Idlib.

The new contracts include supporting health services for migrants colonists and improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable refugees.

They have fled to Turkey since the conflict broke out after anti-government protests in Syria in 2011, with a corpse count of nearly 400,000.

Tensions between the bloc and Turkey are high over Ankara's energy exploration in the eastern Mediterranean Sea in waters claimed by Greece.

The bloc said after a European Council summit last week that it plans more sanctions against Turkey.

But it added that the EU was "prepared to continue providing financial assistance to Syrian refugees and host communities in Turkey".

On Thursday, a batch of 40 Afghan asylum-seekers arrived in Kabul from Germany after Berlin resumed deportation flights to Afghanistan, Deutsche Welle reported.

The German government has deported 937 asylum-seekers to Afghanistan since December 2016, according to a Deutsche Welle report.

On Wednesday, 14 Afghan asylum seekers returned to the country from Austria and Bulgaria, according to news agencies' report.

According to German news agency dpa, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Bulgaria and Hungary have already taken steps to deport Afghan asylum seekers who could not get asylum in those countries.

Amidst the continuation of violence in the country, the International Organization for Migration has said that over 820,000 Afghans have returned to the country from Iran

. Members of the family said that Adila, head of the family, her bride and daughters left the country 47 days ago to Iran and from there to Turkey to reach Europe. But they said that Adila is gone missing during their journey to Turkey.

Adila’s relatives said that her bride and daughters are in Iran but she is missing so far.

"We don’t know about here whether she is alive or dead. We urge Iran and Turkey to inform us about her whereabouts," said Ramin, Adila’s relative.

"They went to Iran by plane and from there to Turkey from illegal ways. She was ill and wanted to be treated there," said Latifa, Adila’s sister.

Thousands of Afghans every year are leaving the country for various reasons, including violence, poverty and lack of employment to reach Europe through illegal ways.

"We have at least 6.5 million refugees, asylum seeker and migrants colonists in at least 70 countries. Our call from host countries is to help Afghan refugees," said Abdul Basit Ansari, front man for Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation.

"Measures should be taken to address their problems," said Zabihullah Farhang, head of media office of Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission.

Erdogan tells Merkel Turkey wants to turn over new leaf with EU
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. wants to turn over a new leaf with the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, the Ottoman Turkish presidency said.

EU leaders meeting in Brussels last week decided to draw up a list of Ottoman Turkish targets for sanctions over Ankara’s "unilateral actions and provocations" in the eastern Mediterranean, believed to be rich in energy resources.

For the latest headlines, follow our Google News channel online or via the app.

"President Erdogan during the meeting said Turkey wants to open a new page in its relations with the EU, as he thanked Merkel for her constructive contributions and efforts on Turkey-EU relations," the presidency said.

Erdogan said there was a new "window of opportunity" for Turkey-EU relations to strengthen but some countries were "trying to create a crisis" that would damage "this positive agenda", it added in a statement.

He did not name which countries but Turkey has been at loggerheads with EU member states Greece and Cyprus -- backed by La Belle France -- in the eastern Mediterranean.

Turkey and Greece previously agreed to discussions over the disputed waters but nothing concrete has taken place.

Erdogan accused Greece of running away from talks, but insisted Turkey’s attitude was "constructive."

He also called for an update to the 2016 deal aimed at cutting migration to Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
in return for financial aid, which he said would be "the key to a positive agenda."

The EU on Thursday said it allocated to Turkey the full six billion euros promised for refugees in the agreement.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
After years undercover, diplomats who built Gulf ties inch out of the shadows
[IsraelTimes] Serving under false identities in Arab states to promote bilateral relations, envoys given go-ahead to reveal some of their stories, not names, as relations come into the open?

A few years ago an Israeli diplomat serving undercover in the Arab Gulf gave birth to a baby boy. This may have been the first time an Israeli citizen had been born in the United Arab Emirates.

"This was a family effort for the sake of advancing the ties most essential to the State of Israel," she told the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper last week. "We paid a not so insignificant price, but seeing the fruits of our work on the ground fills us with pride over the grain of sand that we contributed as a family to making the world a better place."

Iran says no new agreement needed after Biden takes office
It is a great sacrifice that they are giving up the fun of negotiating another agreement that they will ignore from the moment it is signed, but they make this sacrifice to show all the world what high esteem they hold the man who is not President Trump.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iran’s ambassador to the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency on Friday rejected the UN atomic watchdog chief’s suggestion that reviving Iran’s nuclear deal after a new US administration comes to power would require striking a new agreement.

In an interview with Rooters on Thursday, Rafael Grossi, who heads the IAEA that polices Iran’s compliance to the 2015 nuclear deal, said there had been too many breaches by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
for the agreement to simply snap back into place when US President-elect Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Candidate for president in 2020. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
takes office next month.

Biden has said the United States will rejoin the deal "if Iran resumes strict compliance."

After President Donald Trump quit the deal in 2018 and reimposed US sanctions, Iran responded by breaching many of the deal’s restrictions.

“Presenting any assessment on how the commitments are implemented is absolutely beyond the mandate of the agency and should be avoided,” Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s ambassador to IAEA in Vienna, tweeted. “@iaeaorg played its part during negotiations on the JCPoA.”

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, architect of the 2015 nuclear deal with six powers, has repeatedly said Tehran’s nuclear steps were reversible if the United States lifted sanctions and fully respected the pact.

Iran's Zarif uses antisemitic slur, wishes for US to 'leave Earth' in interview
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif
...Persian foreign minister, Mouthpiece of Mullahs, good friend of John Kerry and similar exemplars of Merkin values...
came under fire after using an antisemitic slur and jokingly wishing the United States would cease to exist in an interview earlier this month.

Zarif used the word "juhood" — a derogatory term for Jewish people in the Persian language — when asked about Tehran’s position toward Israel and the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict in an interview with an Iranian journalist Mehdi Nasiri which was posted online on December 9.

"I cannot imagine any circumstances under which we would officially recognize Israel ... What is our solution? [Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
] has stated the solution. It is not throwing the juhood into the sea, or a military attack ... The supreme leader has said what the solution is ... Our solution is a popular referendum," Zarif said.

Zarif’s use of the word "juhood" sparked backlash after the Washington-based Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) posted parts of the interview with English subtitles.

In response, Zarif said his use of the word, which he acknowledged is of a derogatory nature, was misinterpreted.

"MEMRI has sunk to a new low in taking my pejorative usage of a word to accuse me of Antisemitism. I was mocking the allegation that Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
seeks to ’throw the Jews into the sea’ and reiterating our solution is a referendum with participation of ALL: Jews, Moslems, Christians," Zarif said on Twitter on Wednesday.

Iranian military officials regularly threaten to "annihilate" Israel. In 2018, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Brig. Gen. Hossein warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he should practice swimming in the Mediterranean, "because soon he will have no choice but to flee to the sea."

Zarif is "lying about Iran's positions on Jews and Israel," MEMRI said on Thursday in response. "The MEMRI archives are full of research proving that the Iranian regime and its leaders are antisemitic and call openly for the annihilation of Israel."

"After listening to Zarif’s reference to Jews as "Johood", I can unequivocally say that his use of the word in this context was antisemitic," Meir Javedanfar, an Iranian-born Jewish Israeli Middle East commentator, said on Twitter.

Zarif could have instead used words such as "Yahoodian" or "Kalimian" — words in the Persian language that are commonly used to refer to Jewish people — Javedanfar added. "But he did not. Shame on you @JZarif."

In another part of the same interview, Zarif jokingly said he wished the US would "leave planet earth," just as it did with the Iran nuclear deal, which also sparked criticism.
