Corbyn: If elected, we'll recognize 'Palestine'
British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said on Wednesday that a Labour-led government would recognize an independent state of Palestine "as soon as we take office".

Speaking at a fringe event of the Labour Friends of Palestine conference, Corbyn threw his support behind a two-state solution, saying he wanted a "secure and viable" Palestine alongside Israel, according to the British Jewish News.

Europe
Putin: EU politicians encourage migration by offering large social benefits
h/t Gates of Vienna
The immigration problem in the countries of Western Europe has a simple explanation and a simple solution, according to Putin in a report by Russia Today.

The flow of migrants arriving in European countries is unlikely to stop until the EU changes its policies, which actively "encourage" immigration today, the Russian President noted after a meeting with Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Moscow.

The EU should address immigration and not expect the problem to somehow fix itself. If you encourage migration with the help of large social benefits and other bonuses, why would the flow ever cease?

Tariq Ramadan denied release for third time as French court reveals new evidence
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Rape-accused Islamic scholar Tariq Ramadan’s request for release has been rejected by a French court for a third time after new evidence against his defense came to light, according to information revealed by the Moslem Post and confirmed by AFP.

The investigating judges refused the request for a third time after an IT expert presented new evidence against Ramadan.

The version of events presented by the Swiss theologian, who has denied any sexual relations with two of his accusers, is contradicted by an IT expert who examined his phone and computer which were handed on Monday to the magistrates, according to a source close to the file.

Ramadan allegedly sent explicit text messages to one of the accusers with whom he denied having a relationship.

Ramadan, 56, has been imprisoned since Feb. 2 for allegedly raping two women. He was held at the Fresnes Prison, south of Gay Paree, where he suffered from multiple sclerosis, the treatment of which was considered compatible with the detention.

U.S. removing some Patriot missile systems from Middle East
[Hurriyet Daily News] The United States is pulling some of its anti-aircraft and missile batteries out of the Middle East, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sept. 26, citing U.S. military officials.

The Pentagon will pull out four Patriot missile systems from Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain next month, the report said, adding that the realignment step marks a shift of focus away from long-lasting conflicts in the Middle East and Afghanistan to tensions with China, Russia and Iran.

Two Patriot missile systems will be redeployed from Kuwait, and one each from Jordan and Bahrain, the report said. Patriots are mobile missile systems capable of shooting down missiles and planes.

The report comes amid rising rhetoric against Iran from the United States, which earlier this year pulled out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the 2015 deal in which Tehran agreed to curb its nuclear work in return for the lifting of most Western sanctions.

Meanwhile,

Russia and the United States have been facing diplomatic rifts over Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea from Ukraine, involvement in the Syrian conflict and alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

‘Space for religious minorities in Pakistan shrinking’
[DAWN] The National Interfaith Working Group established by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistain (HRCP) held its inaugural meeting on Tuesday where it discussed the facilitation of interfaith dialogue and collective advocacy, awareness and action to protect the fundamental rights of religious minorities.

During the meeting, members of civil society, the media, government and political parties discussed the group’s future strategy and plan of action.

Former senator Farhatullah Babar said the rights of minorities have been shrinking, and intolerance toward them by the state and by society increasing, despite constitutional guarantees, religious injunctions and international covenants that Pakistain has signed in this regard.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Erekat: 'Trump closed the doors to peace'
[MAANNEWS] Secretary General of the Paleostine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee, Saeb Erekat
...negotiated the Oslo Accords with Israel. He has been chief Paleostinian negotiator since 1995. He is currently negotiating with Israel to establish a de jure Paleostinian state...
, said on Tuesday that United States President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
has "closed the doors to peace."

Erekat's statement came in response to Trump's speech at the opening session of the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.

"President Trump has confirmed that his administration has closed the doors to peace and cannot play a role in peacemaking by stating that his decision to move his embassy to Israel to Jerusalem, in violation of Security Council resolution 478, was a 'recognition of reality.'"

Erekat added "Rather, what his administration did, and continues to do, is to reward and incentivize violations of international law, colonization, war crimes and apartheid."

Erekat expressed displease by Trump's rejection of the International Criminal Court (ICC), saying that "his (Trump's) rejection of the International Criminal Court is a rejection of international law."

"It should be noted that Israel, the occupying power, did not implement any of the UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions. The reality today is that due to the one-sided pro-Israel decisions of the US administration, peace between Paleostinians and Israelis have been derailed."

Erekat concluded "Peace is a real need for both Paleostinians, Israelis and the people of the region, and can be achieved with the realization of the two states solution, the State of Paleostine with East Jerusalem as its capital, to live in peace and security side by side the state of Israel on the 1967 borders."

Gazans protest US Trump's speech, decisions
[MAANNEWS] Dozens of Paleostinian refugees protested in front of the Unied Nations' headquarters in esieged Gazoo City, on Wednesday, in rejection of the United States President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s speech and US decisions affecting the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA.)

This protest comes under the slogan "no to jeopardizing the rights of refugees" in time with the UN General Assembly convening, to affirm the right of refugees to return and live decently and in persistence to their just demands under all of their legitimate rights.

Kayid Jarbou, a youth activist, stressed on Paleostinians' rejection of their rights being jeopardized, pointing out that the silence of the UN and the international community on Israeli "crimes" and US-international decisions against the people cannot be accepted.

Jarbou described Trump's speech as "abuse," saying that it confirms US decisions to liquidate the case and not recognizing all international resolutions and that it adopts a vision that is considered a crime against the people and the international community.

Donald Trump says Israeli-Palestinian peace plan to be announced within months
[The National] US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
said he wants a two-state solution for Israel and Paleostine and will release his plan within months.

Speaking at meeting with his Israel counterpart, Mr Trump also reaffirmed his support for Israel and said he believes Paleostinians want to come back to the negotiating table.

The Israelis would have to "do something that is good" for the Paleostinians, Mr Trump said, without giving details.

The Trump administration's long-promised detailed proposal for future peace talks has still not been released, despite several hinted-at announcement dates. Paleostinian officials have publicly said they will not negotiate with the US president after he ordered the American embassy to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem last December, upending decades of official policy.

"It is a dream of mine to get that done prior to the end of my first term...We are with you, with are with Israel 100 per cent," Mr Trump said at the meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Mr Netanyahu responded in kind, "no one has backed Israel like you do and we appreciate it."

The leaders also discussed trade and military defence at the meeting.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
PM reveals to UNGA 'another secret' atomic facility
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed before the UN General Assembly on Thursday "another secret atomic facility" in Iran, some four months after he presented what he said was "conclusive proof" of a secret project underway in Iran for the development of nuclear weapons.

"What I’m about to say has not been shown publicly before ... Today I’m revealing the site of a second facility, Iran’s secret atomic warehouse," he said after a brief introduction praising his country under his leadership for opposing the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

US President Donald Trump withdrew from the deal in May, making way for the reimposition of crippling sanctions that have devastated Iran’s currency and which threaten to ravage its economy.

The new site Netanyahu identified sits a short distance from Shourabad where the Mossad pinched a trove of documents and evidence showing that Iran had archived its nuclear materials despite the nuclear deal.

"When I spoke here 3 years ago Israel stood alone among the nations. Of the nearly 200 countries that sit in this hall, only Israel openly opposed the nuclear deal with Iran. We oppose it because it threatens our future, even our very survival," the prime minister said.

"We opposed it because the deal paved Iran’s path to a nuclear arsenal and the lifting of the sanction has fueled Iran’s campaign of carnage and conquest throughout the Middle East. We opposed it because the deal was based on a fundamental lie ... Israel exposed that lie."

"Let me show you exactly what the secret atomic warehouse looks like. Here it is," he said while holding up a picture of satellite and up-close images.

Syria says new air defenses will make Israel think twice
[ARABNEWS] A top Syrian official has said a new air defense system from ally Russia will force Israel to "think carefully" before carrying out any more air strikes in the country.

Moscow announced on Monday it would deliver the advanced S-300 air defense system, a week after the Syrian military downed a Russian plane by mistake following an Israeli air strike.

Russia has blamed the friendly fire on Israeli pilots using the larger Russian plane as "cover."

Late Tuesday, Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Meqdad said Damascus welcomed the delivery of the advanced S-300 system promised to arrive within two weeks.

It replaces Syria’s existing Russian-built S-200 system, which dates back to the Soviet era, in a move that had been due to take place in 2013 but was held up by Russia at Israel’s request.

"I think that Israel, which is accustomed to carrying out many attacks under different pretexts, will have to think carefully about attacking Syria again," Meqdad said.

The story of a Sudanese doctor working for ISIS
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The appearance of the Sudanese woman accused of belonging to the ISIS turban group, who appeared carrying her baby in a video released by the Kurdish authorities controlling swathes of northeastern Syria, may evoke mixed emotions among her family members.

They may be happy to see her alive, but would be reminded of her deceased brother who encouraged her to join in ISIS in 2015.

The Sudanese woman - who is a doctor - and her baby were handed over to a Sudanese diplomat in the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishli last Thursday.

The Sudanese Security and Intelligence apparatus said that it succeeded in freeing Dr. Nada Sami Saad from the clutches of the turban group.

In the presser last week, the Kurdish authorities said that the Sudanese doctor enrolled in ISIS was among 550 women and her baby was among 1500 children from 44 nationalities, detained in a camp south al-Malikiah town in Syria.

She was detained on January 10, and last Thursday she was handed over to the Sudanese embassy in Syria, based on her request. Read more

Though the ending of her story might seem a happy one for the woman who studied medicine in a prestigious private university, it actually shows a sad reality of 17 other stories related to students recruited by ISIS, most of them died in battles, while some are still in detention or unaccounted for.

The beginning of Nada's story
According to Hadi Mouhamed al-Amin, a journalist focusing on turban groups, Nada traveled among the second batch of students who graduated from the Medicine and Technology University in Sudan, along with 17 others to enroll in ISIS.

Amin said: "This batch of recruits is strange as it included a number of siblings from the same family. In addition to Nada and her brother, there were lujain, Tamer Ahmed Abu, Ebrahim Adel Aqeed and his brother Mohammed Adel Aqeed, Hamza Serar and his brother Mohammed."

Amin further added that it was not clear how the organization managed to penetrate the private university, which includes students of foreign passport holders.

He said that the Sudanese government accused a British student of Paleostinian origin named Mohammed Fakhri al-Gabas- enrolled in the private medical university in 2008 and graduated in 2013- that he recruited students through Skype.
