Kevin Morris Confirms He Owns Hunter Biden's 10% Stake in a Chinese State-Backed Investment Fund
[Breitbart] Kevin Morris, Hunter Biden’s Hollywood lawyer, verified to House investigators last week that he purchased Hunter’s ten percent stake in the Chinese state-backed investment fund BHR Partners, confirming Breitbart News’s exclusive in April, as initially revealed by non-for-profit Marco Polo.

Morris’s ownership of the stake raises questions about his intent for the acquisition, as related to his ongoing personal and business relationship with the first family, along with the business partnership he now has with a Chinese Community Party-linked fund.

Morris acknowledged he bought Hunter’s stake only after pressure increased on Hunter to divest from the entity due to a conflict of interest upon President Joe Biden assuming the White House.

BHR Partners, an entity controlled by the Bank of China, has about $3 billion currently invested around the world, according to its website.

Morris stated he purchased the company because it was a “good business investment,” a transcript obtained by Breitbart News shows. Morris only admitted to the acquisition after asserting the reason for purchasing the company was covered by the attorney-client privilege.

Morris performed due diligence on the entity holding the ten percent stake in BHR Partners, named “Skaneateles LLC,” he claimed, saying he knew the price Hunter initially paid for the stake. “I saw, and I still see upside,” he told investigators about the alleged investment.

It is unknown how much money Morris paid Hunter for the ten percent stake or if any money exchanged hands in the deal. “I did the transaction because, you know, I evaluated it as a businessman, and I thought it was something that could be a very successful investment,” he said.

The Bank of China, a state-owned bank, controls BHR Partners. The fund claims it maintains 22 billion Chinese Yuan (RMB) in various portfolio companies, translating to more than three billion USD. It reports investments in Didi Chuxing, a Chinese technology group; CATL, a lithium-ion manufacturer; Megvii, a deep-learning software developer; and Insilico Medicine, a biotechnology company.

President Biden Urged to Seize Texas National Guard - Joe Manchin Calls for National Emergency
[Red State] On Wednesday, Representative Joaquin Castro (D-TX) called on President Biden to "seize" the Texas National Guard by calling them into Federal service, removing them from the command and control of the State of Texas. This is presumably in response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott's defiant tone towards the Biden Administration on closing the border.

A Texas congressman has urged President Biden to take the state's National Guard under federal control if Republican Governor Greg Abbott defies a Supreme Court ruling allowing federal agents to remove razor wire from a section of the U.S.-Mexico border.

The call was made by Democratic Representative Joaquin Castro after Abbott posted on X, formerly Twitter, saying the Texas National Guard would continue to "hold the line in Eagle's Pass," a popular migrant crossing point, stating: "Texas will not back down from our efforts to secure the border in Biden's absence."

Castro re-shared Abbott's post on his own X account, adding: "Governor Greg Abbott is using the Texas National Guard to obstruct and create chaos at the border.

As of this writing, there has been no action on this by the Biden Administration.

Meanwhile, legal immigrants (aspirants) to the USA must get the Fauci Flu clot shot.

Gee, I learned something: CIS says the clot shot "prevents" contracting covid-19.

P2K has it exactly right - It is the State Militia, the Military Department of the State of Texas, not the National Guard that is installing the wire and guarding the border. They are NOT a federal entity in any respect. Hence, Posse Commitatus and conversion from Title 32 to Title 10 is not involved!

Biden Admin Outsources Congressionally Mandated China Threat Report to Undergrads-Because What Better Way To Insult Congress
[FreeBeacon] 'This report is literally the opposite of adults being back in charge,' Ted Cruz says

The State Department outsourced the authorship of a congressionally mandated report on the threat posed by Communist China to six undergraduate college students, drawing accusations that the Biden administration is not taking the matter seriously.

As part of the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the State Department was tasked with producing a report on the Chinese Communist Party's efforts to censor and intimidate Americans. The issue has fueled bipartisan concerns in Congress as China's government orchestrates propaganda campaigns inside the United States and works to silence its critics.

The final nonpublic report was transmitted to Congress earlier this month and obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. It was authored by six undergraduate students from James Madison University and "does not represent the views of the Executive Branch," according to a cover letter included on the document.

At least one lawmaker who reviewed the report was surprised to learn the State Department outsourced such a sensitive matter to a team of college undergrads, telling the Free Beacon it is a sign that the Biden administration is not taking China's malign activities in the United States seriously.

"This report confirms, again, that the Biden administration is simply unserious about confronting the full range of threats posed by the CCP," Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told the Free Beacon. "No doubt these students are talented, but this report is literally the opposite of adults being back in charge."

"The Chinese Communist Party," Cruz added, "spends billions on propaganda and censorship, with the goal of controlling what Americans see, hear, and ultimately think. These activities pose an acute national security risk to Americans."

The State Department confirmed that the reporting mandate was handed over to James Madison University and said that U.S. officials did not play any role in producing the analysis or providing guidance.

"The Department entered into an agreement with James Madison University to write the independent report through the Diplomacy Lab Project, and the Department did not select the specific authors nor exercise editorial authority over the report," a State Department spokesman told the Free Beacon.

Congress required the secretary of state to "enter into an agreement with a qualified research entity that is independent of the Department of State to write a report on censorship and intimidation in the United States," according to the reporting requirement written by Congress.

Cruz said that lawmakers did not anticipate the report would end up being authored by college students.

The topic and origin of the congressional mandate made the choice particularly unusual. The language instructing the State Department to contract for the report was laid out in the NDAA, a vehicle used in Congress to address national security and defense issues annually, and dealt with Chinese coercion of American citizens, a charged and delicate topic, according to a congressional source who reviewed the materials.

All six of the students are members of James Madison's class of 2024 and are studying either political science or international affairs. Just one is listed as specializing "in coursework regarding China and its trade practices, the politics and economics of the European Union, and international trade law."

The report details "how China's censorship and intimidation of U.S. citizens domestically, and U.S. businesses in China[,] pose a serious threat to the United States."

It discusses how "American businesses are censored" by China and reviews several examples of the CCP's repressive tactics.

The report includes policy recommendations for Congress, such as passing laws to protect consumer data on social media. The report also advocates for a "policy to support American business in China" and "policy and positions against physical surveillance" by the CCP.

Texas AG Ken Paxton Explains How Democrats Stole the 2020 Election
[Gateway] In September 2023 Tucker Carlson sat down with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. This was after the liberals like Karl Rove attempted to remove Paxton from office and turn the Lone Star State over to the Democrat horde and their election fraud operation.

Thankfully, Ken Paxton had just been acquitted of wrongdoing following a Senate trial on all Articles of Impeachment.

Texas RINOs, including Bush and Rove allies, wanted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton gone so they made up some accusations against him without evidence in an attempt to impeach him.

Attorney General Ken Paxton is the one man who has stood up against the Democrat-Marxist onslaught in the great state of Texas. Democrats and Secret Sleeper Republicans hate him for this.

A clip from Paxton’s interview with Tucker Carlson is presently making the rounds on social media. During the interview, AG Paxton explained to Tucker Carlson how Democrats cheated and stole the 2020 election.

Van Jones gives Democrats stern warning about Trump's political strength ‐ and tells Biden to 'stay hidden'
[Blaze] Van Jones is trying to warn his fellow Democrats that former President Donald Trump cannot be underestimated.

During CNN's election coverage of the New Hampshire primary, a roundtable of political analysts were discussing what they believe are warning signs that Trump faces an uphill battle if he wants to defeat President Joe Biden in November. That's when Jones interjected with a reality check.

"Part of what we're looking at as Trump's strength — his resilience — is really a reflection of Biden's fragility," Jones warned.

"Republicans are not afraid of Joe Biden. They're not afraid. They don't think that by putting up somebody this damaged — frankly, this deranged with this many deficits — is going to hurt them at all because the polls show over and over again that even with 978 felonies, he's still neck-and-neck with Biden," he explained.

Reid Hoffman Pulls Out Of Nikki Haley After New Hampshire Pounding
[ZeroHedge] "If America is to avoid another Trump presidency, it will be because Trump loses an election next year. If he is to lose, it will either be to Nikki Haley in the primary, or Joe Biden in the general," he wrote on LinkedIn, noting that he gave to Haley's super PAC after listening to JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon speak at the DealBook conference in support of Haley.

That calculus for Hoffman appears to have changed as Haley lost the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary to Trump. Hoffman is one of Haley’s first wealthy donors to start heading for the exits as she tries to remain in the primary race against Trump.

A Republican fundraiser told CNBC on Wednesday that three clients who each helped Haley raise up to $100,000 for her campaign are now opting out of assisting the former U.N. ambassador.

Others explained that while they plan to speak out publicly in support of Haley, they aren’t convinced they’ll be able to raise much money for her campaign since she’s winless so far in the primary season. -CNBC

More recently, Hoffman bankrolled Trump 'rape is sexy' accuser E. Jean Carroll.

Trump dominates Haley by 30 points in her home state of South Carolina, according to RealClear Politics.
