Burkina Faso repatriates fourteen military trainees trained in Côte d'Ivoire
[AFRICANEWS] Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president used to be Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and was chased out in 2014. Now it's the usual army officer type guy, Captain Ibrahim Traore, running things, who's just doing a bang-up job unless he's already been deposed...
has decided to repatriate fourteen military trainees undergoing training in Côte d'Ivoire, according to a memo from the Burkinabe army staff consulted by AFP on Thursday, in a new sign of tensions between the two neighboring countries.

Burkinabe military trainees" undergoing training in "the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire (...) will be en route to Burkina Faso", says a note from the chief of staff of the Burkinabe armed forces, Colonel Major Célestin Simporé.

Attached to this message, dated October 24, is a list of the names of fourteen Burkinabe trainees, all students between the sixth and final grades at the Ecole militaire préparatoire technique (EMPT) in Bingerville, a town near Abidjan.

These students will continue their education at the Kamboinsin military academy (PMK), near Ouagadougou," writes Colonel-Major Simporé.

This repatriation marks a new episode of tension between Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire.

On September 19, two Ivorian gendarmes were arrested on Burkinabe territory, while on a clandestine gold-panning site. Since then, discussions have been underway between Abidjan and Ouagadougou for their release.

In addition, the two countries are negotiating the demarcation of the 600 km border between them, which is difficult to establish because it has not been physically demarcated.

This situation could explain the arrests of members of the Ivorian defense and security forces on the border between the two countries.

Back in March, three Ivorian coppers were arrested in Burkina Faso, before being quickly released.

Interviewed on national television at the end of September, Burkina Faso's transitional president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, who came to power in a coup d'état on September 30, 2022, assured the audience that "there are no problems" between "the Burkinabe and Ivorian peoples".

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Jewish community of Georgia noted the absence of anti-Semitism in the country
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The rally in support of Palestine in Marneuli was one of the few such protests and is associated with insufficient socio-cultural integration of local residents into Georgian life, the political scientist believes. Representatives of Jewish communities considered the situation safe and stated that there were no manifestations of anti-Semitism.

The "Caucasian Knot" wrote that on October 15, a rally in support of Israel took place in Tbilisi. Citizens of Georgia and Russia gathered at the rally at the Rustaveli monument. The action, organized by the youth group STEP, brought together about 200 people. On October 31, participants in a rally in Marneuli supported Palestine, saying that the silence of the Georgian authorities regarding the deaths of civilians was support for Israeli actions, and marched through the city with Palestinian flags.

The action in Marneuli was a one-off event, said Georgiy Mchedlishvili, an associate professor at the University of Europe (Georgia), a former adviser to the political department of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a former lecturer at Bosphorus University (Istanbul).

“Marneuli is a region inhabited by Muslim Azerbaijanis, some of whom do not even speak Georgian. If politically and economically the region is integrated into Georgia, then in the socio-cultural sense this integration is insufficient, hence the fact that they were captured by this wave. Although there were not very many of them there - about 100 people. For example, there is Adjara and Batumi. The population there is also Muslim, but Georgian-speaking, and there is no such barrier as with the residents of Marneuli, and there are no speeches of this kind either. By the way, it is interesting that many The Georgian media didn’t even pay attention to it as unimportant,” he noted.

According to him, besides this action, the only pro-Palestinian action was the action of Tbilisi University medical students from Iran and Jordan, who came out with Palestinian flags and damaged the Israeli flag.

Video footage of the removal of the Israeli flag installed on the fence of the Tbilisi State Medical University building on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue and its damage were published on social networks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched an investigation under an administrative article regarding the desecration of the flag or emblem of a state with which Georgia has diplomatic relations, established/exhibited by a state institution, Radio Liberty reported on October 19.

Georgia is generally a pro-Israeli country, Mchedlishvili noted. “Including because of the large community of Georgian Jews who partially resettled in Israel. When these terrible events took place, the TV tower in Tbilisi was illuminated in the colors of the Israeli flag, and many officials signed the book of condolences at the Israeli embassy,” he noted.

Representatives of the Jewish community in Georgia stated that there were no manifestations of anti-Semitism.

Representatives of the Jewish community of Georgia interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" also assured that there were no manifestations of anti-Semitism after October 7. The Tbilisi community "Beit Chabad" told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the situation in the country is "good." “We have not received any threats,” they assured.

Gabay (elder) of the synagogue in Gori, Simon said that the Jews did not and do not have problems with the residents of the city. “We communicate normally. But when this happened,” they took measures to ensure that there was security so that people could go to the synagogue calmly," he said. The gabai of the synagogue in Akhaltsikhe Siman-Tov also noted that Jews feel “safe.” “We took some measures just in case, but we have no manifestations of anti-Semitism,” he emphasized.

Let us remind you that the Jewish community in Georgia reported on October 12 that  it feels safe in the country  amid the worsening situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.

On October 22, it became known that a Georgian resident who disappeared at a music festival in Israel  was found dead.
Not dead so much as murdered, or possibly even horribly murdered, but do go on...
Before this, there were reports of the death of two Israeli police officers, immigrants from Georgia.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili reported on her Facebook page* on October 13 about her meeting with the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia. “In this difficult time, the Georgian people express their support and solidarity for Israel and stand with its people!” - she wrote on social networks.

On the same day, the head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry “confirmed to the Israeli diplomat Georgia’s strong support for the state of Israel,” the department’s website says.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that Muslims of the North Caucasus reacted sharply to the new escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In Chechnya, the clergy organizes daily mass prayers in support of Palestine; the Muftiate of Dagestan reported on October 28 that thousands of participants participated in prayers for the Palestinians. Information about who and how in the North Caucasus expressed support for Palestine is collected in the “Caucasian Knot” document “ Actions in support of Palestine in the North Caucasus .”

In a number of republics of the North Caucasus, mass anti-Semitic actions took place from October 26 to 29. In Cherkessk, protesters demanded that visitors from Israel not be allowed in; in Khasavyurt, refugees from Israel must be evicted from their hotel; and in Nalchik, a cultural center was burned down. On October 29, mass riots occurred at Makhachkala airport due to reports of the arrival of a plane with passengers from Israel. More than 20 people were injured in the riots, including nine police officers, according to the Caucasian Knot report “ Anti-Semitic actions in the North Caucasus: how it happened.”

Macron intends to compensate for defeats in Africa in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Oleysa Orlenko

[REGNUM] On November 1 and 2, French President Emmanuel Macron went on a visit to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. These former Soviet republics play a crucial role for France in light of the failure of its policies in African countries. The French President was accompanied by an impressive delegation of heads of major French companies and officials responsible for economic development. However, the rhetoric of the media writing about the event is heterogeneous.

Makhachkala Airport Pogrom/riot News Roundup for November 3rd, 2023
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Putin called the West's attempts to organize Jewish pogroms in Russia disgusting
A creative interpretation of events, to be sure.
[Regnum] Western countries support Israel and at the same time are trying to organize Jewish pogroms in Russia, which is incredible disgusting, President Vladimir Putin said on November 3 at a meeting with members of the Public Chamber, discussing the riots that occurred at the Makhachkala airport.

“They seem to support the Jews of Israel, but with the help of their agents from Ukraine they are trying to organize Jewish pogroms in our country. Just incredible disgusting, this is no longer double standards, I don’t even know what to call it,” Putin said.
Pravda or Izvestia?
According to the Russian leader, such a policy indicates that Western countries are primarily guided by their own goals, and not by the interests of other states.
Every nation, including Russia, is guided primarily by its own needs and goals. To believe otherwise is naive at best. President Putin is not in the least naive.
He also called it unacceptable to shake up the situation in multinational Russia.

Putin stressed that one cannot calmly watch how Palestinian civilians suffer in the Gaza Strip, but destructive forces tried to take advantage of this.

Riots occurred at Makhachkala airport on October 29. Local residents broke into its territory in search of passengers from a flight from Tel Aviv. Law enforcement officers detained 83 people, 15 of them have already received punishment in the form of administrative arrest. The Investigative Committee reported on November 3 that the damage from the pogroms at the airport, according to preliminary data, amounted to hundreds of millions of rubles.
The action contains its own immediate consequences. Well done, guys!
It became known that the unrest in Makhachkala was coordinated through the Telegram channel “Morning Dagestan”, owned by Abakar Abakarov.
So Russia said. Who are we to doubt it?
Izvestia reported on November 3 that he is closely associated with extremists, radicals and people receiving money from abroad.

Putin on the events in Makhachkala: we will react appropriately

It is necessary to pay attention to the events in Makhachkala and react properly in accordance with Russian laws, and the authorities will do this, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“This is an event that we must pay attention to and respond appropriately, in accordance with Russian laws. We will do this, of course,” he said at the “Community” forum with new members of the Public Chamber.

At the same time, the head of state praised the reaction of the clergy to the events. He pointed out that she was quick and persuasive.

“What happened happened. And the reaction of the clergy was quick, convincing, and I want to thank you for that,” Putin said.

In addition, the Russian leader described the unrest at the Makhachkala airport as an attempt to shake up the situation in Russia. According to him, it is now clear that people from abroad are behind the organization of the provocation.

The President admitted that, of course, it is impossible to look at what is happening in the Middle East without tears and empathy. However, destructive forces tried to take advantage of this, so you need to approach any information with a cool head and see where the root of evil is.

In such a multinational state as Russia, such unrest is absolutely unacceptable, Putin emphasized.

On Sunday, October 29, in Dagestan, local residents broke into the runway of Makhachkala airport after the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv. People were looking for Israeli citizens who had allegedly arrived, and riots began. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that a criminal case had been opened for mass riots, and more than 150 active participants had been identified. 83 people have already been detained, 15 have been placed under arrest.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Kiev played a key role in the unrest in Dagestan. As it turned out later, residents of Makhachkala were provoked into riots in one of the Telegram channels, which was coordinated from abroad. At the same time, the media learned about the connection between the financing of this channel and Ukrainian and extremist sources.

The Investigative Committee estimated the damage from the riots at Makhachkala airport at hundreds of millions of rubles

The damage from the riots at Makhachkala airport amounted to hundreds of millions of rubles, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on November 3

“According to preliminary data, the damage caused as a result of the riots amounted to hundreds of millions of rubles,” the department reported.

It is noted that the exact amount of damage will become known based on the results of the examinations.

As part of the criminal case initiated in connection with the unrest on October 29, Investigative Committee officers interrogated dozens of people present on the territory of the Uytash airport.

Experts analyzed data from surveillance cameras. Department officials analyzed the testimony of witnesses, eyewitnesses and victims, including security forces.

To date, more than 20 suspects have been identified as active participants in the riots at the airport.

The Investigative Committee recalled that participation in mass riots accompanied by violence and pogroms is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to eight years. Organizers of this kind of unrest are punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

As Regnum reported , on November 2, the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov , reported to President Vladimir Putin that those responsible for the unrest in Makhachkala would be punished. Those detained in the riot case were charged under the article “Violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing.”
Should they be made to pay back the cost of what they destroyed? That would certainly prove educational for all involved...
Riots at Makhachkala airport occurred on the evening of October 29. A crowd of people rushed into the airport and onto the runway in search of Israeli citizens who had arrived by plane from Tel Aviv. The security forces quickly stopped the riots.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on October 30 that Ukraine played a key role in organizing mass unrest in Makhachkala.

Putin says that Ukraine sells weapons to the Middle East and the Taliban
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
Russia also sells weapons to the Middle East. And they’ve maintained diplomatic relations with the Taliban — has that included selling them weapons, or merely platitudes?
[Regnum] Ukraine sells weapons to the Middle East, including to representatives of the radical Taliban movement (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation). Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this on November 3 at a meeting with the new composition of the Public Chamber.

“Now they say that weapons are appearing in the Middle East from Ukraine. Of course, it appears, they sell it because. And they sell it to the Taliban,” he said

The head of state clarified that from there these weapons are distributed throughout the world.

As Regnum reported, the president said on October 13 that Moscow has information about weapons leaks from Ukraine. The head of state added that the Russian side also has data on arms sales to the Middle East, but “it does not look as if it comes from the Ukrainian leadership.”

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the weapons transferred by the West to Kiev are actively used in Israel. He emphasized that the corrupt Ukrainian authorities had previously stolen and traded everything they received: gas and oil, food, materials.

'Azerbaijani mafia'. How a gang of teenagers terrorized St. Petersburg
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Minor Tural Mamedov, suspected of organizing hooligan beatings of residents of St. Petersburg, was detained in Azerbaijan on November 3. He administrated a Telegram channel in which videos of beatings were published, and was the last person involved in the high-profile case not yet detained.

“We sent a request from the Russian side in accordance with the convention, ” Rashada Orujova, press secretary of the city public organization “Azerbaijani National-Cultural Autonomy of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region,” confirmed to Izvestia .

She said that Mamedov did not directly participate in the life of the diaspora, but the head of the organization, Vagif Mamishev, contacted his family and harshly condemned his actions. Mamedov’s parents apologized to the St. Petersburg residents who suffered from their son’s actions.

BEATINGS AND FIGHTS
Videos with young Azerbaijanis were shown to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.

According to investigators, they acted solely from hooligan motives and committed attacks out of hatred. They recorded each beating on video, then published it on social networks and, in particular, on the Telegram channel “Life of a Tramp.” As a rule, the victims were teenagers like the defendants themselves, or random but drunk passers-by. Under some videos in the channel there was a caption “Azerbaijani mafia”.

PERSECUTION AND PUNISHMENT
Mamedov was put on the wanted list at the end of October, and he was given a preventive measure in the form of detention in absentia. In total, 12 young people were detained in a criminal case of hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code) and inciting hatred and enmity (Article 282), among whom, in addition to Azerbaijanis, were Tajiks and Dagestanis, some of whom have Russian citizenship. As investigators reported, in St. Petersburg they are searching the possible locations of accomplices of the “Azerbaijani mafia”; they have already checked a sports club and a factory in the Leningrad region and several restaurants.

As Regnum reported, at the end of September, migrants who attacked girls in the Kalininsky district of the city were detained in St. Petersburg . They didn’t like that the girls had piercings on their faces and their hair was dyed an unusual color. One of the detainees threatened them with a knife. A criminal case was opened against the natives of Tajikistan for threatening to kill or cause grievous bodily harm.

Europe
Nordic Countries Now Cooperating to Deport Illegals
[HotAir] Sometimes it takes a punch to the gut or a slap in the face.

For many "civilized" people the instinct is to deescalate, to appease an adversary, based on the belief that civilized people do their best to avoid fights.

It’s a tactic that is smart when dealing with other civilized people. Generally speaking, fighting is a losing proposition, and if you can resolve a dispute by talking and compromise the chances that the costs of compromise will be lower than the costs of fighting are high.

But this instinct is wrong, even stupid when dealing with uncivilized people. Their goals and attitudes are fundamentally different and they see appeasement as an opportunity to get even more of what they want because they see you as weak.

That is the fundamental problem Europe faces when dealing with the influx of immigrants, who have no interest in integrating into European societies. They simply want to take them over as they bleed them dry through welfare payments.

...The response of the Arab migrants to the brutal Hamas attacks in Israel may have been a wake-up call to the very European leaders who have been attacking Right-leaning politicians and governments in Eastern Europe as fascists for rejecting the massive influx of migrants. Countries that have virtue-signaled their way into dangerous territory are reconsidering the wisdom of embracing savages.

It’s about time.

The Scandinavian countries have been among the most welcoming, and now they are about to become the most aggressive about deporting the migrants. As in Germany, which just announced a new policy of kicking illegal migrants out of its territory, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden have upped their migrant game: they are combining their resources to push back against the flow and to kick out immigrants who are becoming unwelcome.

Kamala Harris' stepdaughter Ella Emhoff has raised nearly $8M for Gaza on her Instagram: ‘Abhorrent'
[NY Post] Islamophobia Czar
The stepdaughter of Vice President Harris is publicly raising money for Gaza, The Post has learned.

Ella Emhoff,
...who studied hard to learn how to design ugly clothes for deliberately ugly people — she models her creations so that all can see exactly what and for whom they are intended...
24 — whose father, First Gentleman Doug Emhoff, is Jewish — affixed a fundraising drive "supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children" on her personal Instagram account. It makes no mention of the scores of Israeli children murdered among the 1,400 innocent Israelis killed by Hamas terrorists Oct. 7.

Her promotion puts the funding appeal in front of her 315,000 Instagram followers.

The fundraiser, which has netted more than $7.8 million so far, is being operated by the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit based in Kent, Ohio, which raked in more than $21 million in 2021, according to ProPublica. It’s unclear how much, if anything, Ella Emhoff has personally donated to the cause.

"It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent," said Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ). "To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree."

Van Drew, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee, said it was almost certain that Hamas would be able to siphon any humanitarian cash that entered Gaza.

Ella Emhoff has pointedly insisted to reporters that she does not consider herself Jewish.

"Ella is not Jewish," a rep for the second daughter insisted to The Forward in 2021. "It’s not something she grew up with. Ella truly has no qualms with the faith, but she does not want to speak on behalf of Judaism, as she does not celebrate herself."

Money has been allocated for Israel, but it will not receive it. Ukraine get ready
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Malek Dudakov

[REGNUM] The Capitol is gripped by another round of budget wars. Republicans presented their project to support Israel. They are ready to allocate $14.3 billion in military tranches to the Jewish state. True, this money may not be seen there.

Of the allocated amount, approximately 4 billion should be used to replenish depleted stocks of missiles for the Iron Dome air defense systems, and another billion to accelerate the commissioning of the new Iron Beam laser anti-missile system.

However, the White House immediately promised to veto this.

After all, the devil, as always, is in the details. The House of Representatives, where the Republicans have a majority, was eager to reach a compromise between the competing factions of congressmen.

Some, closely associated with the Israeli lobby, demanded that money be allocated to the Jewish state as soon as possible. Others, concerned about the uncontrolled growth of the US budget deficit, demanded that government spending be optimized.

As a result, the Republicans managed to come to a shaky intra-party compromise.

They agreed to give $14 billion to Israel, but at the same time they are withdrawing the same amount from the IRS budget. This is no coincidence, since the White House planned major tax reform last year.

Joe Biden's team intended to hire 87 thousand fiscal agents at once, giving them additional powers to conduct searches and arrests.

Republicans characterized this as the creation of a kind of “federal police” that would obey the Democrats and persecute political opponents under the pretext of searching for unaccounted taxes.

It is this high-profile reform that the Republicans now want to cancel, taking advantage of the crisis situation in the Middle East.

But the Democrats also do not intend to give up.

The Senate, which is controlled by the Democratic Party, promises to block the adoption of projects to support Israel if they reduce funding for any federal structures.

But even if by some miracle such a bill manages to get passed in the Senate, it will be vetoed by the White House.

The battles around Ukrainian budgets are no less fierce.

Newly appointed Speaker Mike Johnson, before being elected to his current position, criticized the allocation of tranches to Kiev. But now he has somewhat adjusted his position - it is clear that Ukrainian lobbyists and representatives of the American military-industrial complex managed to work with him.

Now Speaker Johnson is ready to theoretically consider agreeing on a new budget for Ukraine. But here, too, he first wants to extract serious concessions from Biden and the Democrats.

Johnson proposes to arrange an exchange - tranches for Ukraine for a real strengthening of security at the southern border of the United States.

A migrant crisis has been raging at the American border for more than a year.

It got to the point that by the fall of 2023, more than 300 thousand illegal immigrants began storming the border every month. The White House has neither the desire nor the political will to fight this. Therefore, the crisis is left to take its course - migrants are arrested, sent to overcrowded detention centers, and then released on promises to appear in court. Which, of course, they are not.

Republicans in Congress are demanding that Biden return to the practices of mass deportation of illegal immigrants from the era of Donald Trump.

Biden might not mind making concessions, but he understands very well that the Democrats themselves and all sorts of liberal human rights and migrant rights groups will eat him up for this.

Therefore, so far there is no compromise on the Ukrainian issue.

The Pentagon has about $5 billion left that can be spent on tranches for Ukraine. The American military is trying to stretch current budgets longer, but this cannot continue indefinitely. After all, the Ukrainian army desperately needs an uninterrupted supply of shells, missiles and armored vehicles in order to somehow hold the front, not to mention carry out any operations.

The situation around Ukraine is aggravated by the appearance in the American press of new “revelatory” publications about the atmosphere of total corruption reigning in Kyiv. And also the recognition of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny in the absence of prospects for a Ukrainian counter-offensive and the need to switch to a war of attrition, for which the West is obviously not ready.

This further strengthens the position of those Republicans who refuse to allocate money to Ukraine because they believe that Kyiv will lose and these investments simply will not be repaid.

A separate issue is the lack of military resources, especially ammunition, which the Pentagon now has to divide between Ukraine and Israel.

And then the investigation into corruption of the Biden family, which began in September, is again intensifying, which is the basis for impeachment hearings.

It concerns many aspects of corruption, but among them are accusations of receiving bribes from Ukrainian oligarchs. This is what Republicans want to make the centerpiece of their case against Biden.

Biden is not threatened with real impeachment, that is, removal from power.

Senate Democrats will block any articles of impeachment, no matter how plausible they look.

But even the announcement of impeachment by one lower house will be, although symbolic, quite a strong reputational blow for Biden. And it will sharply complicate the situation of Kyiv lobbyists, who, against the backdrop of all the corruption scandals, have to desperately extort more money and tranches.

The division and dysfunction in Washington also affects the US position in the Middle East.

It is obvious to everyone how difficult it is for Secretary of State Antony Blinken to negotiate with regional players - Turkey, Egypt, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. He was never able to convince Turkey and Qatar to abandon their support for Hamas. Or force Egypt to accept Palestinian refugees.

Individual countries like Bahrain are already severing diplomatic ties with Israel, effectively nullifying the Trump-era Abraham Accords to normalize relations between the Jewish state and the Arab world.

Regional coalitions alternative to Washington are also being formed, which, in defiance of the West, are increasing pressure on Israel, demanding an end to the war in the Gaza Strip.

More and more Middle Eastern states, including Jordan and Egypt, are beginning to gradually withdraw from US external control, seeing the weakness of the American political system.

This opens a window of opportunity for increasing the influence of China and Russia in the Arab world, because current events are becoming a definite point of no return in relations between the entire Middle East and the collective West.

America has only a short time left to agree on budgets.

After November 17, the US government will again run out of money and the question of a shutdown will arise again. Civil servants and officials will lose their salaries, all non-essential programs will be frozen, and Washington will plunge into a full-fledged hardware crisis. Moreover, against the backdrop of two ongoing wars.

The chances that Republicans and Democrats will reach some kind of compromise at the last moment are quite high. But it is unlikely to suit both parties.

We will have to cut costs, allocate less for endless wars than the hawks in Washington would like. And try to simultaneously help Israel and prevent the defeat of Ukraine, the achievement of which seems more and more elusive every day.

30 Columbia Students Walk Out On Hillary As Part of Anti-Semitic Tantrum
[PJ Media] You can say one thing about the events of last month. At least some on the Left are finally waking up to the fact that they have not raised thoughtful and sensitive social justice warriors but hoards of violent, self-obsessed, post-pubescent gargoyles and harpies. Even HRH Hillary Rodham Clinton was on the receiving end of a bit of an eye-opener Wednesday during her speech at Columbia University. Clinton was there to deliver a lecture on the rather ambiguous topic of the role of women in the peace process.

According to BizPac Review, roughly midway through the speech, around 30 of the 300 students in attendance picked up their laptops and backpacks and stormed out of the venue to tie in with a passel of protestors in the lobby. The reason for their ire? They were protesting what they saw as Clinton's support for Israel.

These are the students who drafted a letter blaming Israel for the 10/7 attacks. They are also miffed that Accuracy in Media used a doxxing truck to out those who have protested against Israel. BizPac review said that "students" demanded "'immediate legal support for affected students' and 'a commitment to student safety, well-being, and privacy.'"

By all means, let us provide them with a commitment to their safety, well-being, and privacy while they chant what amounts to death threats and people on college campuses terrorize Jewish students, not to mention at least completely ignoring and at worst defending the atrocities committed by Hamas.
IMO, they're imagining themselves "Hamas freedom fighters" - just as their parents worshiped Che.

Yes, those look like razors. Yes, it looks like some sort of post was put up.

No. She did not cut her hands up, especially on razors. Anyone who has had deep cuts will tell you it isn't a static smear which looks like a ketchup stain.

My conclusion would be, there are inflammatory anti-Israel posters going up which are trapped like this; this is an op to pin the blame on The Juice.

It just struck me as a straight from the book Antifa tactic. You will see no lacerations, blood pooling or running, or the proper tint of a deep cut.

Schools I’ve read about or have a personal connection to (not because I went there, but through social connections):

They’re doing interesting things to drive out the craziness at their state colleges in Florida.

Thomas Aquinas College has the same rigorous Great Books/learning-through-group-discussion approach to the classic liberal education as St. Johns College, but is Catholic and conservative.

Hillsdale College is another with a Great Books curriculum and a conservative reputation. They have a number of free online courses and other outreach options, so you can get an idea without having to travel there. ;-)

India-Pakistan
PTI's Asad Qaiser arrested from residence in Islamabad: brother
[GEO.TV] Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI) leader Asad Qaiser has been arrested from his residence in Islamabad's Bani Gala area, the former National Assembly speaker's brother said on Friday.

Sources said that Qaiser — who is a staunch supporter of PTI Chairman Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
— was taken into custody by police and Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) personnel for alleged corrupt practices related to purchase of medical equipment for Gajju Khan Medical College in Swabi.

Sources said that Qaiser is being shifted to Bani Gala Police Station, where he will be handed over to the ACE Swabi officials.

According to a copy of the First Information Report (FIR) registered against the PTI leader available to Geo News, the PTI stalwart and four officials of the health department face allegations of misusing funds and medical equipment in the medical college.

The FIR registered on the complaint of former ACE investigation officer Hidayat Shah stated that the five suspects caused Rs16.456 million loss to the treasury by "stealing" the equipment and purchasing substandard furniture for the institution.

PTI condemned Qaiser's arrest, calling it a bid to "affect the transparency of elections", which are set to be staged on February 8, 2024, as ordered by the Supreme Court after the Election Commission of Pakistain (ECP) and President Arif Alvi agreed on the said date.

"Asad Qaiser's arrest is a question mark on the role of the election commission in staging fair polls. The series of leaders' arrests is a conspiracy to keep PTI out of the election race," the party spokesperson said.

The spox called on the ECP to ensure the provision of equal opportunities to all political parties to contest in elections. He also announced the decision to challenge Qaiser's arrest on a judicial forum.

After much delay and obstacles, a date for general elections — which have been long due since the dissolution of assemblies in August — was finally decided on Thursday after President Alvi and Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja unanimously agreed on the aforementioned date.

295 Helicopter Pilots Were Given Stand Down Order
[ChananyaWeissman] In a recent interview, Jonathan Pollard explicitly confirmed the only plausible explanation for what happened on Simchas Torah: there was a stand down order while thousands of Jews in dozens of communities were brutally murdered, tortured, raped, mutilated, and dragged off to Gaza.
I suppose this is the only way he can think of to earn a living, after spending so long in prison after getting caught handing secret information over to the Israelis.
The vital clip is available here, and a link to the complete interview with Kofy Time TV is in the description.

As copious video evidence has shown, the savages conducted their rampage methodically and at great leisure, without concern that an overwhelming military response was likely to arrive any moment. They somehow knew they had time to sit down and eat, take smoking breaks, pose for videos, loot the dead, and torture many of their victims.

If you managed, in spite of all odds, to break into Fort Knox, you wouldn't take your sweet time.

Unless, of course, you knew with absolute certainty that the cavalry wouldn't be coming for a while, because certain people in the highest positions of power made sure of it. As Pollard states:

"...It took six hours for any reaction to occur, when the army and air force bases were within earshot of what was going on. I have friends who were helicopter pilots, attack pilots, who were sitting in their cockpits ready to take off, fully loaded, ready to stop them at the fence. They didn't get their orders for six hours.

US Navy launches missile from robot boat in the Middle East: Pentagon releases video of test from unmanned vessel that can strike with deadly precision
[MAIL] The U.S. Navy said it had fired 'lethal munitions' from an unmanned vessel for the first time in international waters in the Middle East in an exercise it said took its capabilities to the 'next level.'

A target boat was destroyed in the drill, which was captured on video.

It was carried out last month by U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) Task Force 59, the Navy's first unmanned and artificial intelligence task force.

Exercise Digital Talon was conducted in international waters surrounding the Arabian Peninsula.

'We are focused on the operational application of new, cutting-edge unmanned systems and artificial intelligence technologies,' said Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, Navcent's commander.

Peskov said that discussions about Wagner in Syria are not based on anything
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Wagner group does not exist de facto, discussions on the topic of their actions are not based on anything, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
I seem to recall that Wagner PMC been absorbed by the Russian army.
“We have already said that de facto such a group does not exist,” Peskov said, commenting on a Wall Street Journal article that reported that the Syria-based Wagner Group could transfer anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) to Hezbollah.
Did the Russian army then transfer the equipment as described?
As Regnum reported, the situation in the Middle East has worsened since October 7 after massive attacks by the Palestinian Hamas movement on Israeli territory. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began military operations in the Gaza Strip. On the evening of October 27, Gaza was attacked simultaneously by land, sea and air.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised on October 31 that if Hezbollah intervenes in the conflict, it will receive an unprecedented blow. Prior to this, on October 29, Hezbollah announced that it had repelled an Israeli Air Force drone attack on the Al-Khiyam area in southern Lebanon.

Senior lecturer at the HSE School of Oriental Studies Andrei Zeltyn , in an interview with Regnum news agency , said that Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip do not look like a full-scale military operation, but like a campaign to push militants out of the northern regions.
