Kamala Harris solves the transportation crisis! VP says 'this issue of transportation is fundamentally about just making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go!'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] World's doormat, or village idiot?
Both, if you please.

#4  /\ No, the coke will not be found to belong to Harris. How often are strong, brilliant, accomplished women like Harris portrayed as coke addicts ?

No, if ever revealed....which I doubt, it will be a man's coke stash.

#15  Because of the House approval process for replacement VPs, tapping Big Mike will remain a private affair for the foreseeable future. By the Rockefeller model maybe Barney Frank will be pulled out of his retirement.

Government Corruption
Majority Believes Biden accepted Bribes
[TIPPInsights] Whistleblowers allege President Joe Biden and his family have taken up to $30 million in illicit bribes and payments from foreign sources tied to China, Russia and Ukraine. Biden denies it. Do Americans believe him? No. By more than 2-to-1, they say they believe the whistleblowers, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.

The online poll of 1,341 adults, taken July 5-7, asked respondents how likely is it that the claims are true? The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.7 percentage points.

The results weren't close. Americans, by 56% to 27%, called Biden bribery charges "likely," rather than "unlikely." Further broken down, the "likely" responses included 34% who called it "very likely" compared to 21% who called it "somewhat likely." Among the "unlikely" responses, only 12% said it was "not at all likely," while 15% termed it "not very likely.
On line poll so take with grain of salt. Still, it shows the Lib control of most of the means of production of political culture isn't enough. Yet.
The poll’s pattern of revealing stark partisan differences remained intact, with Democrats (39% likely vs. 42% unlikely) on one side, and Republicans (80% likely vs. 9% unlikely) and independents (56% vs. 22%) on the other.

Indeed, of the 36 major demographic and political sectors tracked by the I&I/TIPP Poll, all had either an outright majority or plurality saying they believed Biden engaged in bribery except two: Democrats and liberals.

Even so, looked at a bit differently, when the 2.7-point margin of error is taken into account, even Democrats were split nearly equally on the question of whether Biden took a bribe. The president is in trouble even within his own party.

Biden admin objects to merit-based military promotions, no race quotas
[NYP] WASHINGTON — The White House has come out against a provision in the annual defense spending bill that would require the military to base promotion decisions on who is the best candidate for the job, regardless of their race.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) included the merit clause on a list of eight that are opposed by the administration and would reverse many of the diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) policies Biden forced on all federal agencies just hours after taking office.

"The administration strongly opposes the House’s sweeping attempts to eliminate the [Defense Department’s] longstanding DEIA efforts and related initiatives to promote a cohesive and inclusive force," OMB wrote.

"DoD’s strategic advantage in a complex global security environment is the diverse and dynamic talent pool from which we draw," it added.

Other GOP-proposed provisions the White House rebuffed include bans on funding for critical race theory and drag shows, eliminating the position of the Pentagon’s DEI chief and blocking Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin from "appointing or employing a military or civilian employee whose duties include diversity, equity, and inclusion" to a senior-level position.

#2  Good job making them defend their stupidity. No true danger of this actually being implemented. Our Commander In Chief is a good example that Affirmative Action is not exclusively at fault for all bad promotion decisions.

#6  The post-Viet-Nam era drug rot of the 70's and early 80's that many of us here both remember and had a hand in cleaning up is beginning to look like a happy memory compared to the wreckage they are creating. Worse, I have little confidence in the current generation to have the will, moral authority and skill to fix it.
