Paktika governor sacked over making false statement
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Abdul Karim Matin, the governor of Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
province has been fired by the National Security Council from his post.

Matin had allegedly blamed the National Security Council (NSC) of financing the families of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in Barmal District of Paktika province.

Statement attributed to him suggested that NSC had earlier financed the families of IS fighters with $200,000. But NSC said that the assistance was being delivered to the families displaced from Pakistain.

National Security Council says that the decision was taken after a fact-finding team got to the bottom of the case and found out that the allegations were baseless.

Matin later said that his words were misinterpreted.

Abdul Karim Matin was appointed as governor for Paktika province by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
in December last year.

US security pact proved useless for Afghanistan's security: Noor
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The acting provincial governor of northern Balkh province of Afghanistan Ata Mohammad Noor has said the bilateral security agreement between Kabul and Washington has proved to be useless for the country.

Noor made the marks as a guest speaker in Russian Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif city on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Russia's victory over Nazis.

He also criticized the government of national unity for remaining reckless towards the deteriorating security situation in northern parts of the country and warned to take actions by joining the uprising forces if the situation further deteriorated.

The bilateral security agreement between Afghanistan and United States was formally signed by the former US ambassador to Afghanistan James B. Cunningham and national security adviser Mohammad Hanif Atmar on 30th September last year.

The Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) for the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
forces was also inked during the signing ceremony on the same day.

The agreements paved the way for the presence of US and NATO troops to Afghanistan beyond 2014 to implement the new non-combat mission to train, advise and support Afghan national security forces.

However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
Noor said such agreements have proved useless for the country and the Afghan people as the security forces even lack logistics support.

Noor is an influential political figure and the leader of Jamaat-a-Islami party of Afghanistan. He played a key role in the controversial presidential election last year and was a close ally of CEO Abdullah Abdullah
... the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against Karzai. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun...

#1  Ditto the PHILIPPINES + ASEAN = JAPAN = TAIWAN = ....@ETC. agz CHINA???

I'm telling Guam Locals that the historical Cold War, post-Cold War, + even 9-11, post-9-11 "Status Quo" = "Balance of Power" including the Nukulaar "Balance of Terror", etc. is being FORCIBLY UNILATERALLY CHANGED by the Bammer = USA, + aligned OWG Globies, irregardless of the merits.

The Bammer is directly or indirectly helping CHINA, RUSSIA, + IRAN, ETC? to expand their "spheres of influence" + go Nuclear [IRAN = Muslim World + poten Radical Islam] at the MilPol/GeoPol expense or detriment of the "weak/declining", "Sole" Superpower USA soon to be a mere One-of-Many OWG Co-Superpowers.

* WORLD NEWS > [Business Daily] "CHIMERICA" [China-America] WILL DECIDE THE FUTURE OF GEOPOLITICS.

As I 've said before, THE "GREAT GAME" OF GEOPOLITICS = SUBSTITITION OF NATION(S) AND WEALTH BY ANOTHER(S) = GOES ON OWG OR NO OWG, GLOBALISM OR NO GLOBALISM, ...ETC.

Iff the Globies miscalculate, 1960'S-1970'S GUAM TAOTAMONAS = AS THE "WEAK/DECLINING" US RETREATS OR FALLS BACK ACROSS THE PACIFIC, IT MAY DECIDE TO SINK GUAM + OTHER STRATEGIC PACIFIC SLANDS VIA TECTONIC/EQ BOMBS, IN ORDER TO DENY THE ISLANDS' UTILITY TO STRONG GEOPOL RIVALS OR PROTAGONISTS [China, Nuclear Islam, Nuclear Militancy-Terror = NGOS], or at least those land areas on Guam e.g. APra Harbor NB + AAFB.

Yes, GUAM is a US territory + whose Citizens are US Citizens-Residents, but the US will destroy it anyway in order to protect or keep the above from CONUS-NORAM. AND AS GUAM IS AN UN-INCORPORATED TERRITORY, IT IS BY DEFINITION POLITICALLY, MILITARILY, LEGALLY, + ECONOMICALLY EXPENDABLE
IFF SHTF.

Russia + China are already Nuke-armed, the Bammer = USA is helping Iran = Muslim World to nuclearize - iff SHTF, the only thing the US is going to be concerned about is saving its national + geopol arse from NUCLEAR WAR ESPEC MAD [National, Mutual Nuclear Annihilation].

As another example that is NOT-CHINA ...

* CHINA DAILY FORUM > OP-ED: US ABILITY TO CONTROL JAPAN HAS ABATED. AS JAPAN GROWNS INTERNATIONALLY CAPABLE, IT ACTS INCREASINGLY INDEPENDENT FROM THE US.

IOW, + again as per the "GREAT GAME", ITS NOT JUST GLOBALIST-DESIRED FUTURE CO-SUPERPOWERS CHINA + RUSSIA + IRAN, NUCLEAR ISIS or NUCLEAR AL-QAEDA, that can pose a threat.

First Afghan woman taken to Syria by ISIS through online recruitment
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group has taken the first Afghan woman to Syria by recruiting her through Australian by internet.

During an interview with the a delegation of Western journalists and media opinion leaders in ARG Presidential Palace, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
once again expressed concern
...meaning the brow was mildly wrinkled, the eyebrows drawn slightly together, and a thoughtful expression assumed, not that anything was actually done or indeed that any thought was actually expended...
s regarding the emerging threat of the terror group in the region.

President Ghani called the terror group an "internet phenomenon" and said the group does not need a physical presence.

"The first recruit, an Afghan woman was taken to Syria, was recruited thorough Australia by the internet. All analysts, the Centcom, has a commission that did the best open source studies on Daesh," he said.

Ghani further added "I have read every word of it. And of course there are two schools of thought, one is that this is an enduring phenomena, the other that is a flash.

But their pattern of organization is distinct, what I have argued is that based on the pattern that they have established, I see an emerging threat. I am not alone in this, the government of Iran is concerned about this, other governments are concerned, but we do not want to await the dramatic actions that have characterized them, their mode of operation is to eat their competitors."

The remarks by President Ghani comes the national security advisor Hanif Atmar said last week that the terror group is looking to have access to drugs market by starting operations in Afghanistan.

Atmar also warned that the terror group wants to expand its operations not only in Afghanistan but the whole region and wants infiltrate in Central Asian countries.

This also comes as the group has started promoting a training camp in central Pashtun-infested Logar province of Afghanistan, located 60 km south of capital Kabul.

The training camp has been named after the Taliban capo -- Ustad Yasir who was killed in 2012 in an internecine dispute and was revealed after a set of photographs which purportedly shows the group conducting training was published online by a Pak news hound Saleem Mehsud.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani acknowledged for the first time last month that the terrorist group was gaining influence in the country.

Eritrea may play role in anti-Houthi campaign
[AA.TR] As Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and its Arab allies continue their air campaign against Yemen's Shiite Lion of Islam Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
group, there are indications that Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
may play a role within the anti-Houthi offensive in the future.

Since late March, warplanes from Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries have been pounding Houthi positions across Yemen.

Riyadh says the offensive is in response to appeals by embattled Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi for intervention against the Houthis.

But in recent days, signs began to surface that Asmara might play a role in the Saudi-led offensive, following an exchange of visits by officials from Eritrea and countries participating in the anti-Houthi campaign.

On April 28, Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki visited Saudi Arabia for talks with King Salman
...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Cutodian of the Two Holy Mosquesand Lord of Most of the Arabians....
bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman on the situation in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
and security in the Red Sea.

Two days earlier, high-level delegations from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates -- both members of the anti-Houthi coalition -- visited Eritrea and toured a number of islands and ports close to Yemen, according to Eritrean sources.

Earlier this week, Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry -- whose country is also a member of the anti-Houthi campaign -- paid a rare visit to Eritrea and held talks with Eritrean officials.

According to a statement by Egypt's Foreign Ministry, Shoukry's talks in Eritrea focused on African developments, particularly the situation in Yemen, and security in the Red Sea.

Geopolitics

Eritrea has an extensive coastline along the Red Sea, making it a possible launching spot for any ground offensive in Yemen.

Eritrean ports are close to Yemen's coast. The port of Assab is only 60km away from the Yemeni coast, while the port of Massawa is 380km away from al-Hudayda port in western Yemen.

"Al-Hudayda port acquires a special importance and whoever controls it will be able to prevent any ground movement by the Houthis from the north as well as any Iranian naval moves," retired Yemeni general Mohsen Khasrof told Anadolu Agency.

Eritrea's terrain is quite similar to Yemen's rugged landscape. This would make the Horn of Africa country of great importance to the Saudi-led coalition in terms of training and troops' landing in Yemen.

Eritrea also has a trained army of 200,000 troops and naval forces, making it of prime importance for the Saudi-led coalition, particularly in light of Pakistain's reluctance to take part in the anti-Houthi offensive.

Military experience

Eritrea fought a short war with Yemen over the disputed island of Greater Hanish in 1995.

Although Eritrean forces overran the disputed island in just three days, arbitration has given the island back to Yemen.

In 1998, Eritrea fought a three-year war with neighboring Æthiopia over a border triangle, a conflict that left thousands of people on both sides dead.

Eritrea also engaged in two border conflicts with neighboring Djibouti in recent years.

Egypt appeals court upholds 3-year sentence against Mubarak on graft charges; will walk free
[AlAhram] Prosecution is calculating Mubarak's time served; his lawyers say he has already completed the required three years in detention

Cairo Appeal Court has upheld a three-year-sentence against Mubarak on graft charges, but the former strongman will return home since he has served the full sentence, his defence team said.

The former autocrat and his two sons, who were out on bail, were moved to Tora prison soon after the court verdict, security sources told Ahram Online, in order for the prosecution to calculate their time served.

The Mubarak defence team stressed that the trio had spent the required detention period in jail, meaning they will be released as soon as the prosecution confirms this fact.

Another statement by the prosecution is expected soon on the status of the three men.

The court also reduced a sentence on his two sons, Gamal and Alaa, to three years - down from four - in the same case on graft charges.

Mubarak had initially received a three-year prison sentence in the case, and his sons four-year sentences each, but all three appealed the court ruling.

On Saturday, the court issued the three with a fine of LE125 million and ordered them to return LE21 million to the state.

Since the trio had spent over three years in preventative detention for this and other cases, Mubarak and his two sons are expected to leave the court to return home soon. Mubarak was in jail from April 2011 to August 2013 awaiting trial in various cases, and was then transferred to Maadi military hospital where he remained under house arrest for a further while. According to Egyptian law, pre-trial detention is counted as time served towards any possible sentence.

In May 2014, Mubarak, and his sons Gamal and Alaa were originally convicted of embezzling LE125 million allocated for the upkeep of presidential palaces in order to develop their own private buildings.

According to Egyptian law, in cases appealed by plaintiffs, courts can accept or reject appeals, or uphold or reduce verdicts, but they are not allowed to mete out an increased sentence.

In January, Alaa and Gamal Mubarak were released after serving the maximum period of preventative detention awaiting trials. The two still face charges of corrupt stock exchange dealings in a separate case.

This graft trial has been the only case Mubarak, who was tried on various charges, has received a prison sentence in.

In November, a court threw out a case in which the deposed autocrat was accused of complicity in murdering protesters during the January 2011 protests that led to his downfall. Egypt's Court of Cassation can still decide to accept or reject an appeal by the general prosecution on 4 June.

In the same month, Mubarak was also cleared in two other cases. The 87-year-old was cleared from charges of profiteering from his position by accepting presents in the form of villas in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, as the 10-year statute of limitations had expired. Graft charges were also dropped in a case in which he was accused of exporting natural gas to Israel at below market prices.

The Grand Turk
Turkey makes case for EU membership on Europe Day
[AA.TR] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
will press ahead with its bid to join the EU, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Friday in a statement to mark Europe Day.

"With its geostrategic position, strong economy and effective foreign policy, Turkey can make a significant contribution to the EU on its way to being a global actor," he said.

"That is why our accession process was started and continued in line with the decisions taken unanimously by the EU."

Turkey applied for EU membership in 1987 and accession talks began 18 years later.

"In this framework, political blockades of some member states on our negotiation process should be removed," Cavusoglu said. Turkey, which must implement reforms to comply with EU standards, has complained that its path to membership is being unfairly blocked and public enthusiasm has weakened as the accession process has dragged on.

In his comments on Europe Day, which marks French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman's 1950 speech calling for the establishment of a European community, Cavusoglu spoke of Turkey's strengthening relations with the 28-member bloc in areas such as foreign policy, the economy and the energy sector.

"I wish further continuation of the European integration process and I congratulate the Turkish people and the whole European people on Europe Day," he said.

Turkey denies new deal with Saudi on supporting Syria rebels
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
on Friday denied it had struck a secret new pact with Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. to back Salafist tough guys in Syria in a drive to bring down Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Terror of Aleppo ...
.

Reports have suggested that Riyadh and Ankara agreed a special pact to militarily and financially support Salafist tough guys in Syria in an all-out effort to oust Assad from power.

The suggestions emerged after Salafist tough guys -- including fighters from Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Nusra Front -- captured the Syrian city of Idlib from government forces and made striking new gains.

"What has been said about Saudi Arabia is nothing new, our views have coincided with Saudi Arabia on Syria for years," foreign ministry front man Tanju Bilgic said.

"I can say that there isn't a new element to it (the cooperation)," he added in televised comments.

"Turkey cooperates not only with Saudi Arabia but other allies as well, like Britannia and United States."

Bilgic also rejected claims that Turkey was aiding Al-Nusra Front, noting the group was on Ankara's list of prohibited terrorist organizations.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia have had long-standing differences on how to deal with Assad and relations also strained badly in recent years over Egypt.

India-Pakistan
Al Jazeera's Islamabad journalist put on US watch list: report
[Dawn] Prominent Islamabad-based Al Jazeera journalist Ahmed Muaffaq Zaidan was put on a watch-list of suspected gunnies by US authorities based on the suspicion that he was a member of Al Qaeda, The Intercept, reported on Friday.

The news portal -- which reports on documents released by Edward Snowden and describes itself as a proponent of "fearless, adversarial journalism" -- cited documents from 2012 provided by the National Security Agency (NSA) "whistleblower" Snowden.

The documents suggest that Al Jazeera's longtime Islamabad bureau chief, a Syrian national, was described in the NSA documents as "a member" of Al Qaeda and Moslem brotherhood.

In a phone interview, Zaidan told The Intercept that that he "absolutely" denied being a member of the terrorist organization. He added that his career has had many years of dangerous work in Afghanistan and Pakistain which required him to conduct interviews with significant people in the region, which is a normal part of any journalist's career.

"For us to be able to inform the world, we have to be able to freely contact relevant figures in the public discourse, speak with people on the ground, and gather critical information. Any hint of government surveillance that hinders this process is a violation of press freedom and harms the public's right to know," Zaidan told The Intercept. "To assert that myself, or any journalist, has any affiliation with any group on account of their contact book, phone call logs, or sources is an absurd distortion of the truth and a complete violation of the profession of journalism," he added.

The NSA and the office of the director of national intelligence declined to respond to questions pertaining to the basis of Zaidan's addition to the watch list and his alleged Al Qaeda affiliation.

The agency also declined to answer detailed questions about Skynet -- a program that analyses communication data and location from call records in order to detect suspicious patterns -- and how information about people it identifies is used.

CPJ concerned over US surveillance of Al Jazeera
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has said it is "deeply troubled" by reports that the NSA spied on Zaidan.

"Colouring the legitimate news-gathering activities of a respected journalist as evidence of international terrorism risks chilling the vital work of the media, especially in Pakistain where journalists routinely interview Taliban and other Lion of Islam groups as part of their coverage," CPJ's Asia programme coordinator, Bob Dietz, said in a statement.

"The NSA has once again brought the dangers of mass surveillance into sharp relief," CPJ Internet Advocacy Coordinator Geoffrey King from the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
, said. "Given a big enough pool of data, anyone can end up fitting a 'suspicious' pattern. Journalists who traverse many sectors of society to bring the public the news are particularly vulnerable."

Zaidan and Al Jazeera strongly defended the journalist's reporting and rejected the US's suspicions, The Intercept reported.

Syria, Venezuela have world's highest violent death rates
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Nearly 25 percent of all violent deaths occur in countries that constitute only 4 percent of the world's total population, with countries such as Syria, Honduras and Venezuela suffering the worst rates, according to a UNDP report.

The 2015 United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
Development Programme report released on Friday said that violence is actually concentrated in conflict-free countries, as only one-third of the group of the 18 countries with the highest violent death rates witness armed conflict.

The comprehensive list of countries with the highest death rates, those with over 30 violent deaths per 100,000 inhabitants is topped by Syria and is followed by Honduras and Venezuela.

Syria and Libya topped the list specific to violent death rates in countries suffering armed conflict.

The report noted that 508,000 people are killed every year from violence.

The figure is composed of about 70,000 deaths as a result of armed conflicts, 377,000 from homicide, 42,000 are results of involuntary manslaughter, and 19,000 are killed by police interventions and military operations.

The report said that weapons were used in approximately 197,000 cases of violent death.

Iraq
Sunni Muslim Turkmen forces expected to help retake city from Daesh
[AA.TR] Yilmaz Najar commands 4,000Turkmen fighters fighting Daesh in northern Iraq.

As the commander of the 16th Brigade of the largely Shia Moslem al-Hashd al-Shaabi militia, also known as the Popular Mobilization Forces, Najar is preparing his men for the expected assault to retake djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
from Daesh Lion of Islams.

The city, Iraq's second largest, was seized by Daesh in June last year. Following this success the bandidos Death Eaters went on to target Turkmen towns such as Tal Afar, 60 kilometers (38 miles) to the west of Mosul, and Amirli, between Baghdad and Kirkuk.

"Our armed forces consist of 4,000 fighters," Najar told Anadolu Agency. "The forces fight against Daesh in Kirkuk,
... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time...
Amirli, Tuz Khormato, Bashir and Daquq, which mostly have population of Turkmen people. There are also Sunni Turkmen fighters in our forces."

He added: "We established the 16th Brigade because of the serious need to combat Daesh after it had seized Amirli."

Turkmen are a Turkic ethnic group that is the third largest in Iraq after Arabs and Kurds. Members of the community, which is primarily found in northern Iraq, are both Sunni and Shia Moslems.

As well as the 4,000 Shia fighters under Najar's command, another 1,500 Sunni Turkmen have been armed by al-Hashd al-Shaabi, including 800 from Tal Afar. They are expected to take part in the offensive to recapture Mosul, a primarily Sunni city.

Operationally the Turkmen forces, some trained by Turkish troops, have been supporting Iraqi government forces and Kurdish peshmerga as they attempt to push back Daesh in the area around Kirkuk.

Najar rejected calls by the Iraqi Turkmen Front for a unified Turkmen gang, arguing that his group was bringing together Sunni and Shia Turkmen fighters.

Economist: Ex-PM Maliki lost Iraq $500bn in oil
[RUDAW.NET] Economist Adnan Janabi, the former head of the Iraqi parliament's oil and gas committee, has criticized Baghdad's oil policies and laid the blame on ex-prime minister Nouri al-Maliki
... Prime Minister of Iraq and the secretary-general of the Islamic Dawa Party. Maliki imposed order on Basra wen the Shiites were going nuts, but has proven incapable of dealing with al-Qaeda's Sunni insurgency. Reelected to his third term in 2014...
.

"For 2015, the Iraqi government must pay the oil companies some $20 billion and Baghdad should be committed the deals it makes," Janabi told the Al-Mada newspaper on Friday.

Janabi said the delayed formation of a federal council for the oil and gas is the leading factor in the corruption and decline of Iraq's oil sector.

Janabi, a member of interim prime minister's Ayad Allawi's cabinet in 2005, said at the time of the Allawi's government there was a plan to increase production and oil exports to six million barrels per day at a time when the price was $100 for per barrel of crude.

"Due to bad administration in terms of the oil sector during Maliki's time in office, the country lost $500 billion," said Janabi, referring to Mailiki tenure from 2006-2014.

In early march, a Kurdish MP in Iraqi parliament said Baghdad was considering a change in its oil agreements with foreign firms to claw its way out of a deep economic crisis.

Iraqi Kurdish MP Arez Abdullah said the parliamentary oil committee had met with the country's oil ministry to work out a solution.

"According to our information, Iraq owes oil companies $21 billion. We expect the amount to increase, as Iraq does not have enough money to pay them back on time," Adullah told Rudaw.

Olde Tyme Religion
Here's How A Country With 98% Muslims Put Their Islamists On A LEASH
[MadWorldNews] "The law would be an attempt to force unwilling Muslims to embrace Tajikistan's culture by taking more "Tajik-sounding" names. The ministry has announced that they would also help parents come up with names if they cannot do it on their own.

The secular government is taking action after recognizing a rise of Islam, which it claims threatens to form jihadist militancy. Apparently, Rahmon has seen the effects of 1,400 years of Islam and how it has never progressed past the 7th century blood lust of Muhammad.

The name ban isn't the only change that has hit the Muslim community, however. Tajikistan's government has outlawed beards and hijabs, as well as closing independent mosques. Mosques that are permitted by the parliament are ordered to praise the secular government in place of backwards Sharia law, The Guardian reports."

#2  If 98% of them Tajikistanians are Islamic, you can't accuse them of being Islamophobic. That won't work as it does with the left in Western countries. I guess critics will have to go with the criticism "that they are not Islamic enough."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
We cooperate with whoever supports Kurds' right, fights Assad, ISIS: PYD Official
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Abdul Salam Mustafa, representative of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Europe, explained in his talk to Zaman al-Wasl that People Protection Units (YPG) is the main Kurdish party that fights the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) in Syria, but he added that (PYD) has widely participated in the battle as well as many parties and groups from different backgrounds, like Arab, Syriacs, and Kurds.

Mustafa added that many battalions of the Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
and other Kurdish groups have formed a united operation room named (Furat's volcano) aiming to fight ISIS and the regime, as well as reaching to a common view with other military formation to keep the spirit of the revolution and face all forms of dictation and unfairness.

The PYD representative insisted that their main aim is to reunite all forces in order to fight the dictating regime and terrorist Jihadist groups. He explained that YPG is the military force that protecting West Kurdistan, and is ready to cooperate with any party or formation believes in Syria as a democratic secular country and protects the rights of Kurds by law and constitution.

In regard to the festivities with the Free Syrian Army, Mustafa explained that there has been no such an issue, as there is no one definite or single entity for the Free Syrian Army or even the Jihadi groups, and YPG sometimes have disagreement with some battalions of the Free Syrian Army and cooperates with others, the same is applied for the Jihadi groups.

Sha'ath: Palestinian Authority not able to protect People of Yarmouk Camp
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Dr. Nabil Sha'ath, the Chief negotiator and a member of the Central Committee of the Paleostinian Fatah movement has disclosed to Zaman al-Wasl that all attempts made by the Paleostinian Authority to save Yarmouk camp for Paleostinian refugees in Damascus, or to find a solution for its crisis and break the siege have failed, which points out to a hidden conspiracy against the Paleostinians in exile, like what happened before in camps of Sabra and Shatila, and Nahr barid.

“No one ever can imagine what is happening in Yarmouk,” Sha’ath explained that Syrian regime is not concerned in Ahmad Majdalani’s mediation to find a solution for Yarmouk Camp for Palestinian people, as the regime insists on its responsibility for the Palestinians inside the camp and rejects any interference or any help from external forces.

The Palestinian negotiator revealed that no external Palestinian force can interfere in breaking siege imposed on Yarmouk Camp, and the matter is out of the Palestinian Authority's hands, even there is no powerful Palestinian existence in Syria can be relied on.

“From the beginning, we tried to exclude ourselves from the Syrian crisis, but the crisis reached us and got us involved.”

Sha’ath expressed his anger toward the Arabs’ attitude from the Palestinian crisis and what is happening in the Palestinian camps in Syria, as they just keep watching. The Palestinian Cabinet Minister mentioned that the Palestinian Authority has communicated with different organizations for aid and relief, but still, no one can have the control on aid once it reached to Syria, as regime controls everything enters Yarmouk camp. “However, we had some cooperation from Sweden and Norway to grant asylum for more Palestinian refugees.”

In the end, Sha’ath told Zaman al-Wasl that no one able to provide anything or any help to Palestinian people, even the Palestinian Authority was unable to give any help, and he thinks that Yarmouk crisis is similar to what happened in Tal-Zatar camp. He appealed to Arabs to intervene to stop Palestinian tragedy.
