[ShabelleMedia] The Somali forces with the help of the local people known as Mawisleyda carried out a joint operation on Thursday morning in the Barag Gurgurte area which is one of the areas under Harardhere district.
The operation killed more than 30 al-Shabaab ... the personification of Somali state failure... members who were at their base in the Barag Gurgurte area on the west side of Harardhere town in the Mudug region, where al-Shabaab bully boyz were gathering.
"The operation killed 33 al-Shabaab fighters and their command base was overran by the allied troops, who are chasing the remnants from the rural areas," said the Somali military.
The operation coincides with the al-Shabaab leaving the areas of Dumaye and Dabagale in the south of the Mudug region after the SNA forces and the locals started operations there.
The Govt forces in villages and districts of Mudug, Galgadud, and Hiraan regions have resumed operations against the al-Shabaab, which has been on hiatus for the past months.

Al-Shabaab claimed it inflicted losses on the ATMIS forces, but there was no independent verification of the claims. The attack comes amid intensified military operation in Somalia.
Lower Shabelle is the most militarized region in Somalia, where al-Shabaab has a long-time presence, facing the US military that mans the drone base in Baladdogle airfield.
In May, al-Shabaab overrun an ATMIS base in Bula-Marer town, which houses Ugandan troops serving under the AU mission. As many as 57 UPDF soldiers have bit the dust.
UPDF makes up the bulk of the African Union Transition Mission [ATMIS], and they have been operating in Mogadishu and Lower Shabelle region since their deployment in 2007.

Sunday's operations saw the military maneuver to Dhurey where the forces of Evil had regrouped waiting for assault but huge strides were made in terms of recovery, military officials said. The officials noted that several weapons had been seized from the group.
Mohammed Moalim Yusuf, the Wajid District Commissioner and the commander of the 260th unit of the military forces, Onkod Moalim Adan, told state-owned media that the troops successfully pushed the forces of Evil out of the area.
The bigwigs pledged that the army would launch a massive Bakool region operation soon. The Somali National Army is also plotting to commence the second phase of operations against al-Shabaab which will mainly target Jubaland and Southwest states.
The second phase of operations was delayed after the military returned to Galmadug and HirShabelle where the first phase was conducted for combing exercise. Somalia had also requested military backup, but ATMIS had to pause technical withdrawal of more troops to help Somalia sustain operations.

Attacking vessels with no Israel connection raises the risk of pushing some other country onto Israel’s side… which would be a bad thing, from their perspective.
Good to see some schools are starting to dish out consequences for the hateful little shits.
[IsraelTimes] Amid Israel-Hamas ...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... war, universities say pro-Paleostinian demonstrators are hindering fellow students, staff, faculty and normal function of the schools
Dozens of student protesters at Brown University were arrested, and a weeklong sit-in at Haverford College ended Wednesday under threat of disciplinary action as US college campuses continue to be roiled by tensions over the Israel-Hamas war sparked by the Paleostinian terror group’s October 7 shock onslaught on Israel.
Brown’s police department charged 41 students with trespass when they refused to leave the University Hall administrative building after business hours on Monday, according to officials at the Ivy League school in Providence, Rhode Island.
Earlier that day, protesters had met with Brown President Christina H. Paxson and demanded that Brown divest "its endowment from Israeli military occupation," the school said in a statement on the arrests. Students were photographed and fingerprinted at the administration building before their release Monday night. Other students waited outside to cheer them on.
It was the second round of arrests at Brown in a little over a month as college administrators around the country try to reconcile the rights of students to protest with the schools’ imperative to maintain order.
Twenty students protesting Israel’s military operation in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... were arrested for trespass on Nov. 8, although Brown dropped the charges on Nov. 27, two days after a Paleostinian student at Brown, Hisham Awartani, and two other Paleostinian college students were shot in Burlington, Vermont.
Brown said Wednesday that while protest is "a necessary and acceptable means of expression on campus," students may not "interfere with the normal functions of the University." The school warned of even more severe consequences if students fail to heed restrictions on the time, place and manner of protests.
"The disruption to secure buildings is not acceptable, and the University is prepared to escalate the level of criminal charges for future incidents of students occupying secure buildings," Brown said.
At Haverford, outside Philadelphia, student activists began their sit-in on Dec. 6 and occupied Founders Hall, which houses administrative offices. They are demanding that college President Wendy Raymond publicly call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Hundreds of students participated over the last week, taking deliveries of food and setting up study spaces. Professors even dropped in to teach, according to student organizers.
The college asserted that the protesters were hindering fellow students, staff and faculty, and told the sit-in organizers Tuesday night that "they must discontinue actions that impede student learning and the functions of the College, which include the sit-in inside Founders Hall," Raymond and the college dean said in a campus message Wednesday morning.
Student organizers told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that college officials threatened to haul protesters before a disciplinary panel if they didn’t leave the hall. About 50 students defied the warning and slept in the building overnight before protesters held one last rally Wednesday morning and delivered letters to Raymond before disbanding.
The threat of discipline played a role in the decision to end the sit-in, according to Julian Kennedy, a 21-year-old junior and organizer with Haverford Students for Peace. But he said organizers also concluded that the sit-in would not compel Haverford to meet the group’s demands.
"At this point, we just see that this college as an institution is broken and has lost its values," said Kennedy, accusing Haverford of betraying its Quaker pacifist roots.
Ellie Baron, a 20-year-old junior and protest organizer, said the group will pressure Haverford in other ways.
"Just because the sit-in is over, doesn’t mean our efforts are over. We are extraordinarily upset our president refuses to call for a cease-fire," Baron said.
A Paleostinian American student at Haverford, Kinnan Abdalhamid, was also among the three Paleostinian college students who were shot over Thanksgiving break in Vermont. The suspected gunman was arrested and has pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." to three counts of attempted murder. Officials are investigating whether the shooting, which seriously injured one of the other students, was a hate crime.
Abdalhamid, who took part in Wednesday’s rally, said in a statement that "our presence here is a powerful message that we will not stay silent, we will not be passive observers."
Universities across the US have been accused of failing to protect Jewish students amid rising fears of antisemitism worldwide and fallout from Israel’s intensifying war in Gaza following Hamas’s October 7 attack on southern Israel.
This appears to be video of Brown University students being told they would face administrative and legal consequences for remaining in the building past 5pm.

[Garowe] Hundreds of Islamic faithful are counting losses in Minnesota state following a fire incident that left a local mosque burnt, triggering questions about the safety of Minneapolis suburbs within the US, one of the safest countries in the world.
According to CBS, the fire gutted down Nervy Islamic Center, the second fire incident on the property within this year. Several items were burnt in the incident, with authorities starting an official inquest into the incident.
Investigators say Jackie Little
...in our archives as Jackie Rahm Little, also known as Joel Arthur Tueting. His mother warned that he has been fascinated by setting fires since childhood, so he may be mentally ill...
was behind the fire intentionally set on the third floor.
That’s the first fire, back in spring. He probably didn’t set the latest one.
Little was also tied to burning down the mosque inside the Somali Mall. He is facing federal charges, CBS reports.
Police in the state say they are not sure if the cause of the fire is suspicious but they maintain investigations are going on to unearth issues behind it. However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... that is not doing too much to ease the Moslem community's concerns.
"Looking at this, I'm like wow, it also makes me feel unsafe," said Aweis Hassan.
Hassan has been attending prayers at Mercy for about five years. He said it is unsettling to see destruction twice in one year. "It makes me feel like there's some hatred going on," Hassan said.
Jaylani Hussein, the Council of American Islamic Relations Executive Director, said property worth $100,000 was destroyed. However, denial ain't just a river in Egypt... he emphasized that "we are just hopeful that this is not an actual attack".
"The image is very powerful," Hussein said. "We have seen these burnings now in Minnesota, just this year we've seen seven incidents."
Court documents reveal insight into accused mosque arsonist
An affidavit filed by authorities says besides the mosque fires, Jackie Little is allegedly tied to vandalism targeting Rep. IIlhan Omar's office and a police car.
Jackie Rahm Little appeared in U.S. District Court in St. Paul Monday on a criminal complaint saying he did "maliciously damage or destroy, or attempt to damage or destroy, by means of fire or an explosive, a building or other real or personal property used in interstate or foreign commerce."
The complaint was filed in connection with a fire April 24 at the Masjid Al Rahma mosque at 2647 Bloomington Ave. S. In an affidavit to support the criminal complaint, Investigators say Little is seen on surveillance video entering the mosque shortly before 7 p.m. with a plastic gas can inside a brown paper bag. Minutes later a volunteer security guard came running into the office saying the third floor was on fire.
A number of adults and children inside the building were evacuated while fire crews extinguished a fire on the third floor. Damage is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
Jackie Little is scheduled to make his next appearance on Thursday, May 4 at 11 a.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Cowan Wright.
The affidavits filed along with the complaint suggest Little could face charges in a number of additional acts, including an alleged act of vandalism at a U.S. Congresswoman's office.
Little, also known as Joel Arthur Tueting, was arrested over the weekend in Mankato. He is already charged at the state level with starting a fire in a hallway of the Mercy Islamic Center in Minneapolis on April 24, but in court documents, federal investigators tie him to a number of additional acts that appear to target people who are Muslim or Somali.
An affidavit filed in support of a criminal complaint against Little says he vandalized the Minneapolis office of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, the "Somali Mall" and a Minneapolis police squad car driven by a Somali officer on Jan. 5, 2023.
KARE 11's Lou Raguse tweeted images included in the affidavit that allegedly captures Little shoplifting spray paint from Target on Nicollet Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. Federal authorities say they know it is Little as he walks with an unusual gate, swinging his left arm widely.
Additional images show Little entering Omar's office, where he reportedly spray-painted "500" on a wall. Investigators said at the time they don't know what the message means. They say he also spray painted "500" on the entrance to a Somali mall and an MPD squad car on the same day.
The affidavit says investigators believe Little was responsible for emailing Omar's office days earlier on Dec. 30 and 31, attaching photos of a Quaran in a toilet and another of a bloody ear.
Federal investigators included additional photos they say capture Little entering the Masjid Omar and Mercy Islamic Centers, one with a gas can in plain sight and another with a container allegedly concealed in a plastic bag.
ATF officials say Lilttle's mother told them he once engaged in extensive harassment of a Muslim woman, and that he has had a fascination with fire from a young age. His mother reportedly told investigators she strongly suspects he is involved in several other unreported arsons, based on occasions he has asked for rides to-and-from various locations.

[IsraelTimes] Just seven soldiers escaped poisonous inferno that killed most within minutes.
An investigation into the nature of the deaths of IDF surveillance soldiers serving on the Nahal Oz base on October 7 has reportedly revealed that they were killed by a toxic gas that caused suffocation and loss of consciousness within a few minutes of exposure.
According to a report published by Channel 12, the main findings of the investigation indicated that an unspecified but toxic flammable substance was apparently thrown through the entrance of the building which housed the surveillance soldiers’ command center. One of the soldiers at the entrance to the building attempted to extinguish the flames but was unsuccessful and the fire continued to spread.
"They set fire to materials that ignited and spread, which contained toxic gases that could cause suffocation in a few minutes or even less than that," Channel 12 quoted the officer delivering the report as saying, and added that the estimated time of a few minutes was an optimistic one.
As the fire continued to spread, the smoke began to enter the surveillance soldiers’ command center, where 22 people, including many of the surveillance soldiers, were hiding. In an attempt to ward off the smoke, the soldiers soaked some paper towels with water to fill the gap under the door but it didn’t work and the effects of the gas began to take hold.
"The soldiers began to leave the room and search for an exit. They were coughing and some couldn’t breathe," the IDF officer told Channel 12. "Some told us that they felt they were stepping on some people, they tried to pick them up, and with the rest of their strength tried to call to them. They were simply surviving and trying to figure out how to get themselves out of there."
When they reached the emergency exit, however, the soldiers realized that the door was on fire, and there was no way of opening it or even getting close to it. Those who were still able continued to search for an exit and eventually reached the bathrooms, where a small window led to the outside.
One of the officers climbed up to the window and smashed it, allowing him, five other officers and one surveillance soldier to escape the toxic inferno.
