IEDs Explode in Cartel Stash House Injuring Civilians in Border State in Mexico
[Breitbart] Government officials in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas are trying to cover up a large explosion that leveled several homes. Officials claim a gas leak caused the explosion. The explosion reportedly happened in a cartel stash house where they kept weapons and improvised explosive devices.

The incident occurred early Friday morning when a house in the Los Fresnos neighborhood in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, exploded. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and rescued more than 30 families as firefighters and authorities investigated the blast. Authorities revealed that the explosion leveled several homes.

The Tamaulipas government sent out a statement confirming the blast but made no mention of the cartel’s presence nor the use of explosive devices.

The Tamaulipas Civil Protection Coordinator, Luis Gerardo Gonzalez de La Fuente, told local news outlets that the explosion was caused by the accumulation of gas.

However, a search of the blast area led authorities to several containers believed to have been repurposed as IEDs. Authorities also found tactical gear that had been stored in the house that caused the explosion. Law enforcement sources revealed to Breitbart Texas that the containers used as IEDs had residue of plastic explosives, possibly C-4 or some similar material.

The explosion comes weeks after Breitbart Texas reported the Gulf Cartel had begun placing land mines along rural dirt roads as a way to keep their rivals out. Government officials initially tried to deny the issue but were forced to confirm the reporting. Officials tried to downplay the issue by claiming that the explosives were only used by cartels to fight each other and not used against civilians.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Analysts argue about the risks of IS intensifying in the North Caucasus
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] In the North Caucasus, there is a risk of intensification of IS militants after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, although terrorist attacks on civilians have not been observed there since 2018, indicated veteran of the special services Sergei Goncharov and military expert Andrei Koshkin. A new round of IS activity in the region is unlikely, argued former Dagestan security official Magomed Shamilov.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on March 22, armed people broke into the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow and opened fire there, and the building was also set on fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, according to the Russian Investigative Committee as of March 24, 137 people were killed, and another 154 people were hospitalized after the terrorist attack. The FSB reported the detention of 11 suspects, four of them, citizens of Tajikistan, were arrested. Earlier, on the day of the attack, it became known that the terrorist organization "Islamic State" had claimed responsibility.

The New York Times indicated that US officials in March gathered intelligence that the Afghanistan-based Islamic State-Khorasan was planning an attack in Moscow, and Russia was warned about it. Statements about the responsibility of ISIS-Khorasan for the terrorist attack are given weight by the FSB report released two weeks before the attack on the prevention of an attack on a Moscow synagogue being prepared by militants of the same group. The terrorist attack on visitors to Crocus City Hall has similarities with the January terrorist attack in Iranian Kerman, for which the Islamic State also claimed responsibility, said Mina Al-Lami, an expert on extremist groups.

IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS, NO IS ATTACKS ON CIVILIANS HAVE BEEN RECORDED SINCE 2018
In the North Caucasian Federal District, the last time a coordinated and massive attack by militants on civilians occurred was on May 19, 2018, when the Church of the Archangel Michael in Grozny was attacked. During the clash, four militants were killed, along with a worshiper and two seconded policemen. The Caucasus branch of IS claimed responsibility for the attack on the temple, although investigators later concluded that the attackers were not affiliated with IS.

Attacks similar in typology occurred earlier: for example, on February 18, 2018, five people were killed during the celebration of Maslenitsa in Kizlyar. On the night of December 30, 2015, militants opened fire on visitors to the fortress in Derbent, killing one person. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack in Derbent.

However, after May 2018, attacks by IS members in the North Caucasus had the nature of individual terror and were directed against security forces. In particular, on December 28, 2020, there was a knife attack on police officers in Grozny - then one policeman died; the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.

On December 31, 2019, two militants attacked a traffic police post in Magas, killing one policeman. According to investigators, the residents of Ingushetia who attacked the post were members of the Islamic State.

Moreover, even these attacks on civilians are typologically different from the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall - two of them were of a confessional nature, and none of them were associated with penetration into buildings.

EXPERTS POINTED TO THE RISK OF IS INTENSIFYING IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS
In the North Caucasus, the coordination of IS militants has weakened, says Sergei Goncharov, president of the Association of Veterans of the Alpha anti-terror unit. “In the context of the terrorist attack in Crocus, I analyzed and recalled what terrorist acts of ISIS were in the North Caucasus. And the fact that the last time ISIS attacked civilians on the territory of the North Caucasus Federal District five years ago, in 2018, means that their positions are strongly weakened. We can say with confidence that the anti-terrorist struggle in the regions of the North Caucasus has borne fruit. Chechnya and Dagestan should be especially mentioned," he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

However, ISIS militants may become active again in the North Caucasus, Goncharov emphasized. “We are accustomed to the fact that once there is a terrorist attack, it is somewhere in the North Caucasus, but now it happened in Moscow (in the Moscow region. - Caucasian Knot note ). This gives us reason to believe that the activities of the Islamic State in the North Caucasus Federal District have been curtailed. But ", unfortunately, this is temporary. It seems to me that in the near future we should expect their activation in the North Caucasus Federal District. Therefore, we must not let down our vigilance," he said.

A similar opinion was expressed by Andrei Koshkin, Doctor of Political Sciences, reserve colonel of the RF Armed Forces, expert of the Association of Military Political Scientists. “Five years without the activity of ISIS militants in the North Caucasus, if we are talking about acts against civilians, is an impressive period, which gives reason to believe that the fight against them was effective. Local security forces played an important role here, their work turned out to be effective. But I I would also point out that without the socio-economic policy of the federal center aimed at improving the situation of these regions, there would not have been such a result. But the fact that in the region for five years there has not been a single act of militants against civilians is a unique result ", he told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Andrei Koshkin is confident that the militants are looking for opportunities and will take advantage of any relaxation to become active again in the North Caucasus. "Their active activities were successfully stopped in the region. But this does not mean that we can relax. This cannot be allowed under any circumstances. After all, this is what they are waiting for. They will take advantage of any opportunity when they see that law enforcement agencies, satisfied with their work, are more are not as diligent as before. Therefore, we must not lose our vigilance, we must continue to work effectively and fight against militants not only in the North Caucasus Federal District, but throughout Russia. In this sense, we should adopt the experience of local security forces," the expert noted.

A DAGESTAN SECURITY OFFICIAL CONSIDERED A NEW ROUND OF IS ACTIVITY IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS FEDERAL DISTRICT UNLIKELY
The security forces of the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District managed to oust the ISIS militants, says Magomed Shamilov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan. “The fact that there have been no terrorist attacks for several years indicates that the cells are disunited, there is no coordination and active activity. Nevertheless, our security forces managed to achieve results in this fight. The only thing that they [the militants] have succeeded in recently is - these are single attacks, mainly on security forces. But usually they were immediately destroyed,” he told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Now the activities of the Islamic State in the North Caucasian Federal District have been curtailed, Shamilov is convinced. “And I don’t think that they will be able to become active in our region. This organization has weakened in general throughout the world. Especially after the terrorist attack in Crocus, the fight against them will be intensified,” he said.

Swiss authorities: Suspect in antisemitic stabbing was radicalized online, in Tunisia
[IsraelTimes] A teenager who allegedly stabbed an Orthodox Jewish man in Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
was radicalized in Tunisia and online, Zurich’s regional security minister says.

Investigations into the March 2 attack are progressing at a swift pace, Mario Fehr says during a press briefing on cantonal crime statistics.

The 15-year-old suspect grabbed credit for the attack in a video in Arabic in which he pledged allegiance to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
jihadist group and called for a "global fight against the Jews," police have said.

The boy is a Tunisian immigrant who was naturalized in Switzerland in 2011.

"There is a strong link with Tunisia," where the teenager spent four years between 2017 and 2021, Fehr says, according to Switzerland’s Keystone-ATS news agency.

An important factor in his radicalization was also the amount of time he spent on internet forums, says Fehr, who heads the Zurich cantonal administration.

El Paso is a ghost town days after stampede involving 600 MIGRANTS as Gov. Abbott threatens full force of law as part of $10 BILLION border plan
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Governor sends more National Guard members following migrant riot Thursday

  • Number of migrants crossing into US through Texas has plummeted, as border crossings have spiked in New Mexico, Arizona, California

The site of last week's migrant riot in El Paso had largely emptied out Monday, as the Texas National Guard sent in more troops and reinforced the crossing with more razor wire.

Thursday, some 600 migrants stormed the barrier placed by Texas soldiers and had violent confrontations-- resulting in the arrest of one migrant for assaulting a service member.

Junior Evaristo-Benitez, 21, of Honduras, has been charged with assault on a public servant, a 3rd degree felony, and is being held at the El Paso County Jail, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed.

PTI moves to lodge FIR against PML-N's Sanaullah for 'threatening to kill Imran Khan'
[GEO.TV] The PTI Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
chapter leadership approached the Sir Syed Town Police Station to register a first information report (FIR) against ruling PML-N’s big shot Rana Sanaullah for allegedly issuing "death threats" to former prime minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
.

In his recent two interviews with local TV channels, the former PML-N government’s security czar reportedly termed Khan’s political existence as a "problem".

The PTI, however, sees his remarks as a "demand" for Khan’s liquidation. Amid the PTI’s allegations, Sanaullah clarified that he was talking about the "political existence" of Khan. He further said that did not issue any death threat to the life of the PTI founder.

"The matter will be resolved immediately if he [Khan] quits politics or gives up his certain political thinking under which he says ’I will not leave anyone’ and 'everybody is dacoit and looter'," he added.

According to a spokesperson of the former ruling party, PTI Karachi chapter Vice President Tehmas Ali has submitted an application to the Sir Syed cop shoppe for lodging an FIR against Sanaullah for allegedly giving "death threats" to the PTI founder during a TV show.

On the other hand, the police official said that a local leader of the PTI accompanied by his lawyer reached the cop shoppe yesterday night to lodge an FIR against the PML-N leader.

"[The police officials] did not receive the application as the matter does not come under our jurisdiction," the officials added.

The PTI leaders were asked to approach the relevant forum, the police officials said.

Addressing a presser in Islamabad earlier in the day, PTI leader Raoof Hasan said that his party’s core committee decided to lodge cases against PML-N leaders Sanaullah and Marriyum Aurangzeb for hurling threats at the former prime minister.

"An attempt was made to lodge a case against Rana Sanaullah earlier today but the police did not register it."

He further said that they would approach all the cop shoppes to file the cases, adding that they would move the court if the cases were not registered by the police. He also complained about the slow pace of court proceedings on cases against the PTI founder.

Expressing his distrust, he urged the Islamabad High Court (IHC) chief justice to disassociate himself from cases related to the PTI founder.

Sheer power struggle within PTI may lead to its disintegration: info minister
[GEO.TV] Referring to the "internal strife" in the Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI), Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has claimed that there is a sheer power struggle within the ranks of Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality disorders...
-founded party that may lead to its disintegration or creation of a forward block.

Addressing a presser in Islamabad on Monday, Tarar said that top PTI leaders like Gohar Ali Khan and Sher Afzal Khan are taking contradictory stances on different issues. He regretted the "childish attitude" put up by the PTI which is a national party.

He advised the PTI leaders to shun their internal politics and play its due role in strengthening the economy.

Lambasting the PTI, the federal minister said sometimes they wrote a letter to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but sometimes asked the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
(EU) to investigate the election process in Pakistain.

If they had any complaint, they should knock the door of the Election Commission of Pakistain (ECP) or Election Tribunals, he said.

He said once they were accusing the United States of toppling the PTI government, now they had hired lobbying firms in Washington.

The info minister said that American diplomat Donald Lu had called the PTI founder as a "certified liar".

to fight starvation, saying there was a growing international consensus to tell Israel a ceasefire is needed in its war on Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
Speaking on a visit to Jordan, Guterres said he also saw a growing consensus for telling Israel that any ground invasion of Rafah, Gaza's southernmost town on the Egyptian border, could mean a humanitarian disaster.

Israel should lift all obstacles to aid into Gaze and allow convoys of the UN Paleostinian refugee agency UNRWA into northern Gaza where starvation is looming, Guterres said.

"It is absolutely essential to have a massive supply of humanitarian aid now. This means opening more entry points, this means a concentration of efforts of all entities and without obstacles and limitations from the Israeli side," Guterres said.

During a tour of a centre in Jordan's Wihdat camp where UNRWA provides health and education services, the top UN official said that the agency was a lifeline of hope and dignity for millions of refugees across the region.

"The decision not to allow UNRWA'S convoys to go to northern Gaza where we have a dramatic starvation situation is totally unacceptable and those that took that decision must assume the responsibility facing history of the consequences of the decision," Guterres added.

US Central Command: 46,000 meals airdropped into northern Gaza today

earlier today, US Central Command announces.

"The Defense Department humanitarian airdrops contribute to ongoing US and partner-nation government efforts to alleviate human suffering. These airdrops are part of a sustained effort, and we continue to plan follow-on aerial deliveries," CENTCOM says.

Some 250,000 to 300,000 Paleostinians are believed to be living in this part of the Strip despite an IDF directive for civilians to evacuate at the beginning of the war.

The area is largely cut off to prevent a Hamas

resurgence in zones already cleared by the army.

With the center of the humanitarian operation located in the southern Gaza border city of Rafah, where most of the Strip’s two million civilians are sheltering, those in the north have had extremely limited access to aid for months.

They game the system. Their polling is no different than political polling with rigged questions. They ask people have you ever been hungry? Everyone has been hungry sometimes. As recently as last year when I had to prepare for a colonoscopy. There are plenty of federal, state, and local programs, funding, and services that no one has to go hungry. Some still do because the systems of access or delivery are opaque to them.

As for the airdrops, much of it will end up on the local 'market' where the usual miscreants will profit off the people its intended for.

Photo said to show kids’ bedroom in Gaza where Liri Albag, other hostages were held
[IsraelTimes] UK report says soldiers found traces of blood in room matching female captives; ’It’s the equivalent of me keeping someone else’s children locked in my house,’ says Liri’s mother

A British newspaper released an exclusive image on Monday showing what it said was a children’s bedroom in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...

terror group in their first few days in captivity.

According to The Daily Mail report, soldiers identified traces of blood in the room, which, following DNA tests, were confirmed to be from Albag and other female hostages.

Photos of the room, which was seen to contain children’s toys and a pink wardrobe, were shared by soldiers with the newspaper.

"At first when I saw it, I was happy because she was in a child’s room. There were kids clothes in the cupboard and it gave me a little relief that she wasn’t in a scary place," Albag’s mother, Shira, told the Mail.

"But then I understood that she is with a family — they kidnapped her, not Hamas. It’s the equivalent of me keeping someone else’s children locked in my house," she added.

Speaking with the Kan public broadcaster last week, Shira Albag said released hostages had told her that Liri was forced to go between families’ homes in the Gaza Strip and cook and clean for them.

Shira last heard from her daughter at 6:30 a.m. on October 7, when Albag reported that she was in a field shelter in Nahal Oz, trying to avoid the rocket barrage. She thought her daughter had ended up in one of the hospitals, and went to Soroka in Beersheba to try and find her. When she arrived back home, Albag’s boyfriend showed her a Telegram video posted by Hamas, in which they were able to identify her being kidnapped.

In total, 253 hostages were taken by Hamas-led bully boyz during the terror group’s October 7 massacre, 130 of whom are still held in Gaza. Most female captives were released as part of a truce deal in November, but 19 women are still held, among them IDF soldiers, in addition to two very young children, one of them an infant.

Without a US veto: UN Security Council voted in favor of immediate cease-fire for rest of Ramadan; US sez is non-binding
[Ynet] The UN Security Council votes on Monday to approve a resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza during the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan that ends in two weeks and also calls for the immediate and unconditional release of the Israeli hostages.
No hostages, no ceasefire? Dead hostages, ceased fire?

with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres saying that it must be implemented, Al Jazeera reported.

This was the first time the UN Security Council passed a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Fourteen countries voted in favour of the resolution, however, the United States — which is Israel's main ally — abstained.

What else does UNSC resolution demand
  1. [GEO.TV] That an immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan is respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire

  2. The immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and ensuring humanitarian access to address their medical and other humanitarian needs

  3. That the parties comply with their obligations under international law in relation to all persons they detain
Isn't there some sort of international law against taking hostage in the first place?

Stop and think for second.
Ask does HAMAS even has the hostages numbers it claims to have? Then ask in what mental and physical condition?

Even if only 1/2 of what we have heard of the sexual, mental and physical abuses inflicted by HAMAS terrorists on it captives is true. Then releasing those hostages would be a PR nightmare for them.

Israel considering Hamas demand not to assassinate its senior officials - report
[Jpost] Israeli officials have suggested they might consider a permanent ceasefire if Hamas’s Gaza leadership leave the Strip and go into exile.

Israel is considering Hamas's demand for a commitment not to assassinate the organization's senior officials if they are exiled from the Gaza Strip, Kan reported Friday.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously stated in November that he had told the Mossad “to act against the heads of Hamas wherever they are.”

Israel would agree to this in exchange for an agreement that would include the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and the release of all the hostages, according to the Kan report.

Hamas is simultaneously demanding the withdrawal of IDF forces from Gaza.

The proposal is backed by the United States as part of the next phase of a hostage deal in which Hamas would release 40 hostages in exchange for a six-week ceasefire.

An Israeli senior official told Kan that an offer is being considered, "including a commitment not to harm the exiled senior officials."

DEALS ON THE TABLE
During the hostage negotiations, Hamas officials said they would only release the remaining hostages in Gaza as part of a ceasefire. Netanyahu has said that he will not accept any deal that would leave Hamas in control of Gaza.

One recent framework for a proposed deal was a phased release of the remaining hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, with the goal of a ceasefire, a senior Western diplomat and a regional diplomat told The New York Times.

Israeli officials have suggested they might consider a permanent ceasefire if Hamas’s Gaza leadership leaves the Strip and goes into exile, the two diplomats told the NYT.

Hamas officials have rejected leaving the Strip, according to the report. “Hamas and its leaders are on their land in Gaza,” Husam Badran, a senior Hamas official, said in a text message. “We won’t leave.”

An Israeli delegation is in Qatar for hostage negotiations and has agreed to an American compromise on the number of Palestinian prisoners who will be swapped for each Israeli hostage. They are waiting for a response from Hamas, Israeli media reported Saturday night.
