German FM says 'purely military approach' not the solution in Gaza; CIA, MI6 urge Israeli ‘compromises’ to get hostages back, detailed ceasefire proposal imminent

[GEOTV] German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Friday that a military approach alone was not the solution to Israel's war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

"The past weekend has dramatically demonstrated that a purely military approach is no solution to the situation in Gaza," she told reporters after meeting with her Israeli counterpart Israel Katz in the coastal Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

CIA director says more detailed Gaza ceasefire proposal due in days
[GEOTV] CIA Director William Burns, the chief US negotiator trying to help secure a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages by Hamas, said a more detailed proposal on the ceasefire would be made in the coming days.
"We will make this more detailed proposal, I hope in the next several days, and then we'll see," Burns said at an FT event in London on Saturday.
