Israeli Border Police: Palestinian suspect tried to breach West Bank security barrier, is shot dead
|
[IsraelTimes] Border Police say a Paleostinian suspect who attempted to infiltrate through the West Bank security barrier in East Jerusalem was rubbed out.
The suspect, named by the Paleostinian Authority health ministry as Nizar Hassasna, 34, allegedly tried to breach through the barrier near the village of al-Muntar.
Police say an officer carried out a "suspect arrest procedure," during which he shot up the suspect. Hassasna was declared dead by medical officials a short while later.
Police say the incident will be investigated further.
