#1 It is nice that Obama helped the Iranians with their nuke program

  • Israel has a lot of nukes

  • Nukes require a delivery system

  • Nukes require specific scientific maintenance or they won’t work


  • They will end up with one kindergarten nuke to pit against an arsenal of graduate level nukes

  • There is a level of pre-nuke restraint that goes away post nuke

  • You have to build at least two and explode one as proof

The Persians would come up short in a nuclear exchange with a major power. But there are other more deniable things you can do with fissionable material. Give it to the Paleos, for example. A dirty bomb set off in Tel Aviv would make a big mess and let the Paleos count coup, even without being a nuke.
