Justice Department asks Congress for $34million in extra funding to continue the investigation into January 6 and bring rioters to justice

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - The Justice Department says more than $34 million in funding is 'critically needed' to fund the remainder of the January 6th investigation
- Department says extra funding is 'critically needed' to sustain its investigation
- About four people a week are being arrested in connection with the siege
- So far there have been 870 arrests but hundreds more people will be targeted
- Without the extra funding, local U.S. Attorney's Offices across the country would take on the role essentially leading to a cut in their funding
- Congress has until December 16 to work out an agreement over future funding
