Eleven Republicans vote against giving $40 billion in aid to Ukraine, as GOP splinters over Russian invasion and Senate inches forward with bill to send military and humanitarian help

The Senate on Monday voted to advance a $40 billion aid package for Ukraine

It sets up a final vote expected Wednesday to send more military help

But 11 senators voted against the measure, in a sign of the way an isolationist Trump wing is flexing its muscles

The vote came after Sen. Rand Paul stalled the vote as he demanded an independent inspector of US spending in the region
