#10 The problem with reparations is the need to compare it to something. It would appear the only fair comparison would be to sub-Saharan Africa. Some genetic testing should point to a region of origin and you can base off that dynamic.

Then you would utilize the annual income, living conditions including but not limited to housing, potable water, sewage treatment, functioning utilities, medical availability and degree of civil rest/unrest. Then you have to look at life span.

After you figure out how the comparable African lives, you either add or deduct from a baseline score. Short story long, even liberal back of the napkin ciphering would strongly suggest that any foray into reparations is going to put that segment of the population back into bondage for a gargantuan bill.

While I cannot support Reparations for something that CEASE to exist in American 155 years ago.

MAYBE Offering a put or shut compromise.

* 1 way airfare ticket to their DNA verified Ancestral Homeland.

* Give a 1 time 1 year average income for that DNA verified country.

* Provided they MUST renounce their US Citizenship and not apply for return or visitation (VISA's).

Since a VAST MAJORITY of American slaves came from: Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, west-central Africa, including what is now Angola, Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon.
The DNA determined source location should be used as the 1 time Average annual income source.

Quick Check of the African listed above locations, indicates they will return and live FAR WORST health & sanitary conditions, have few rights and usually have to forego all Government handouts.

Its Sink or Swim over there baby ☺☻.

BTW: US Average Black Income = $58,985
US Poverty level = $12,760.

The average Social Security retirement benefit in 2020 was about $18,200 a year.
