CNN host says more women should run for president because they 'are the smartest of the sexes'

[Washington Examiner] CNN anchor Don Lemon said that more women should be running for president in the U.S. because they are smarter than men.

"Women are the smartest of the sexes and they always have been," Lemon told TMZ when asked if a women would be a better presidential candidate because she is less likely to have a sketchy past.

"We would be a whole lot better off if women were running things ‐ more things in this country ‐ and I mean that," he said in the off-the-cuff video shot at Los Angeles International Airport.

Currently, more women than men are running in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Recently, two male lawmakers in Virginia have faced backlash and calls for resignation after separate blackface scandals, and a third faces allegations of sexual assault, including rape.

Gov. Ralph Northam faces controversy over a medical yearbook photograph that shows an image of one person in blackface and another in Ku Klux Klan garb. Although it is unclear if he is one of the pictured individuals, it appeared on a page dedicated to Northam that included other obvious photographs of him.

It appears that he has no intention to resign before the end of his term.

Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, who would be next in line to the governorship if Northam were to step down, was accused of sexual assault by one woman, and another came forward later and accused him of rape.

There have also been calls for Fairfax to step down, despite no investigation into the allegations yet. Fairfax maintains his innocence and denounces the allegations.

#4 I was going to say that it should have been the "smarter" of the sexes. When comparing only two things, you should use "-er" rather than "-est".
Then I remembered that these days there are innumerable sexes, so his quote is grammatically correct (to him). Still wrong, but the grammar is correct.

#5 There are more smart men than smart women, and also more dumb men than dumb women. That would still hold if the average IQ was higher for women than men, but it is not.

It's good when the MSM highlight just how clueless they are.

#7 Ugh — pandering to the progressive females and their white knights that are his audience. Best is a mix of men and women running things, keeping things in the middle where it is more comfortable for all, rather than favouring just one or the other.
