Al-Maliki also called on Arab League members to "abide by the resolutions of the Arab summits, including the decisions taken at the Amman Summit in 1980, when it was called to freeze relations with each country that transfers its embassy to Jerusalem.
Despite our understanding of the developments of Arab relations with the United States and its complexity now, we are asking the Arab nations to call their ambassadors for consultations and to show the Arab rejection of the American bias towards Israel."
Secretary General of the vaporous Arab League Ahmed Abu al-Gheit likewise condemned the move of Guatemala, who also moved their embassy to Jerusalem.
"We condemn and refuse the actions of the Republic of Guatemala yesterday to transfer its embassy to Jerusalem and affirm that the Arab relations with it and with other countries that may submit a similar step should be reconsidered and reviewed." al-Gheit said.
