Extortionists kill minor boy after abduction

[Bangla Daily Star] Extortionists have killed a schoolboy after abduction in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha, reports our correspondent.

Police said a gang picked up Rocky Babu, 7, son of Mohiful Islam of Nayapara village while he was flying kite at a ground near his house on Wednesday morning.

Hiron confessed to police that they kidnapped Babu and killed him by suffocation. As per his statement, police later recovered the body of the boy from a cowshed, said Mehdi Hasan, OC (investigation) of Gobindaganj PS.

The criminals did it after failingto realise toll from the boy's father Mohiful, a Malaysia expatriate, he added.
