The ugly truth is that their behavior is somewhat subdued not because of the attack but because the attack was only mildly successful.

In an honor shame culture being victimized is inherently shameful and successfully victimizing others brings honor.

If 10/7 had been a normal terror attack killing 10-20 Israelis and residents the political fallout would have been minuscule.

10/7 and 9/11 emboldened and strengthened them.
