#3 Musk's mother was born in Canada, emigrated to South Africa and bore Elon. Elon got Canadian citizenship, via his mother's passport, then transferred to the Univ. of PA., earned US citizenship in 2002.

So he's not very South African, it seems to me. I do get Bannon's point, however.
