There are other ways to estimate a metric with a large disparity by looking at correlated metrics like food produced or consumed or single use essentials…. Sort of the same way the IRS catches business’ laundering money or cheating on their taxes.

#5 I'm not confirming or disputing the stated facts and conclusions of this article, but relying on AI in such matters is a bad idea IMHO.

AI just isn't good with facts and prone to heavy hallucinations.

Making some basic assumptions and doing simple back of the envelope calculations would be far more reliable.
