#1 It's been confirmed to have happened before. Can't think of a place more in need of a good hosing down.

#3 The Daily Mail is printing a mostly translated Russia media report.

#4 Way too much Regnum crap on this website. Perhaps why so many failures with the server?

Wouldn't wiping out the West Coast basically be a Sodom and Gomorrah redo?

While I see the article as likely slow news weekend filler.
Compounded with so many Media groups are in a panic and retuning their news models, staff and political slanted coverage. In order to appeal to the clear and overwhelming proven actual Reader/Viewer audience.

Looking forward.
It will be interesting how these media groups cover "The Big Surprise" that the DC Swamp/ LSD's are surely cooking up to inhabit or eliminate Trump's MAGA agenda.

#6 #3 The Daily Mail is printing a mostly translated Russia media report.

If the Russians say the original report came from the Daily Mail, then I believe them. The story did not originate in Russian media.

I s'pect the original report was deleted by the Daily Mail, likely owing to quality issues with the story.

#7 #4 Way too much Regnum crap on this website. Perhaps why so many failures with the server?

Again: I use regnum.ru because of the variety of stories they write and procure.

As to the server, I access rantburg.com each day, every day and the only issue I see is the reduction of comments.

Not a server issue.

I have checked your IP and yours is not on any firewall list that I am aware. And I've checked.

#8 You're doing a fantastic job, dude.
The DM is always suspect and while the prose is seldom purple it often is 'hedged'.

I love what you've done working with the translation of English DM to Russian RN to American RB with little loss of tone in the churn. Nice.

#9 Why in the world would my comment cause you to look up my IP?

#10 #9 Why in the world would my comment cause you to look up my IP?

To see if your IP got caught in one of my firewall rules.

#11 Why in the world would my comment cause you to look up my IP?

To make sure you hadn't somehow gotten on a Block list of some sort, dear Walking Unvaxed — and if you had, then he would have fixed it.

#13  Russians read the Daily Mail?

Of course! Everyone reads the Daily Mail. How else would you know what GCHQ wants you to think?

Personally, I like the variety of curated news sources here at the 'Burg. Carry on!

Side Question: is there a formal name in the intelligence community for that thing where you leak a story to your pet journalist and then go to your boss and say "See! This really is a thing because the media is reporting it".

#14 Obviously there is, SteveS. The SteelE Dossier method was slick and well-practiced. It was discussed, as I recall, in the BBC comedy “Yes, Minister.” Or possibly the sequel, “Yes, Prime Minister.”
