Interesting, to note it seems almost timed to happened along with the Trump McDonald's political event.

Raised Questions:

Why only the "McDonald's" 1/4 pounder, doesn't the Onion grower sell onions to other places?

Does McDonald's have 2 sets of Onions?
1 for the 1/4 pounders, and another for other meal items?

Yes, the 1/4 Lb's use raw onions. The others are cooked, killing E. Coli

#3 The 1950's are calling with a simple solution: hi-intensity Cobalt-60 source and Presto no E.Coli!! They built several facilities with bays big enough to zap trailer loads at one time but the FDA has super slow rolled approval except for some dried spices.

#4 First familiar format McD's opening in San Bernardino, CA in 1953. This simplified menu, and food preparation using assembly line principles, allowed them to sell hamburgers for 15 cents, or about half as much as at a sit-down restaurant. The restaurant was very successful, and the brothers started to franchise the concept...

#5 ...that's when we used silver coins. That 15 cents would be about $3.73 today. It's not that its more expensive as much as our money has been made worthless with spend, spend, spend by the central government.

#6 "In response to an E. coli outbreak in certain states, McDonald’s temporarily stopped sourcing onions from Taylor Farms’ Colorado Springs facility in October 2024 and has since indefinitely ceased sourcing onions from that facility."

#7 too bad about Taylor Farms onion shredding operation in Colorado

in my experience it is a fine company and they have steadily improved the quality of their produce over the past decade or so

#9 Also add in a food handling labor source from the 3rd world who may not be able to understand completely the instructions and grew up wiping with a hand.
