#2 I suspect that will be a Fort Sumter moment. They might was well go full coup and see how long they can hold on. Think the lock down, but without end, no electricity or gas, and interstate transportation basically truncated. Local sheriffs aren't going to help and the National Guard is still made up of citizens. IIRC Mao correctly - he who controls the countryside controls the cities.
