#7 The governor claims that this initiative was spurred by the Supreme Court's decision in Grants Pass v. Johnson last month, which found laws restricting sleeping in public areas did not violate the constitutional restriction against "cruel and unusual punishment."

Newsom could have appealed that lower court ruling with the full weight and legal representation of the state of California a long, long time ago but he did nothing. It was up to little Grants Pass, Oregon, population 39,000, to appeal an obviously flawed lower court ruling and that was fine with Newsom. He and his developer buddies have made fortunes building so-called "affordable housing" for the homeless at half a million bucks a pop. The total cost for California taxpayers has been $24 billion and Newsom will NOT allow an audit to determine how all that money has been spent. And all the while the number of "people experiencing homelessness" grew, proving how ineffective a governor Newsom has been. How many people died on California's sidewalks, freeway underpasses and river beds due to Newsom's neglect? We'll never know. How many businesses had to close because the hobos were sleeping in their doorways and shoplifting with impunity? Who knows? Harris would be a fool to tap this sleazoid for veep but then, that would not surprise me. They're both cut from the same cloth.

#8 ...don't leave out NIMBY in the local governments that obstruct through zoning. SanFran could be hammered IAW with fed statutes but aren't for some 'strange' reason. Affordable housing - trailer parks. You aren't going to see them because of zoning and regulations.
