#1 Since Israel has WMDs, destruction of Israel - no matter how appealing to the hearts of Western "Elites" - cannot be accomplished through brute force. Therefore an alternative method of "Peace Process" where concessions lead to further terrorism, which is rewarded by further concession was adopted. After all, such methodologies mutatis mutandis worked perfectly well on turning the populace of Western (once) democracies into slaves.
