#1 (Yahoo) Ukrainian soldier says US-made Bradley fighting vehicles are 'priceless' in nighttime assaults, offering visibility better than in daylight

Kyiv's soldiers have credited the vehicles with keeping them alive in battle, saying that they wouldn't survive the same threats in Ukraine's Soviet-era troop carriers.

"It's a serious machine, a very serious machine," a soldier said.

One soldier described the Bradley's thermal imager of being "very high quality," allowing the crew to clearly see targets several miles out.

"The shrapnel density is crazy, the firepower density is just insane," the soldier said. "Target acquisition takes seconds, just seconds. At night, this machine is absolutely priceless, simply invaluable. You capture targets much faster, visibility is better than during the day."

Another soldier said comparing the Bradley to its Soviet-era counterparts is like "night and day."

The US announced in early January that it would send Bradleys to Ukraine, and because it is a tracked vehicle, it was initially misidentified by some observers as a tank. "It's not a tank, but it's a tank killer."

#5 It's official. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the liberation of Klishchiivka. Probably means the Ukrainians have cleared out the Russians east and north all the way to the railroad tracks. The RR defensive itself has been penetrated in 3 or 4 places north and south of Andriivka and north of Klishchiivka.
