#2 ...Nobody is reading the fine print.

That 170k is salary and benefits. No UPS driver is going to bring home that much in cash.

#3 $170K less the Teamster Union Dues (which will go up), Teamster Medical Dues (which will...), Teamster Retirement ...LOL... Fund (ditto) and the US/State/Local taxes will munch on the rest of the 'raise'. So the big winner is Organized Crime the Union.

#4 $170K less the Teamster Union Dues (which will go up), Teamster M*dical Dues (which will...), Teamster Retirement ...LOL... Fund (ditto) and the US/State/Local taxes will munch on the rest of the 'raise'. So the big winner is Organized Crime the Union.

#7 I worked for GM from 2000 until 2007. There was worry, at the time, that the UAW would eventually slather on so many wage and benefit demands that it would crash the company. I left just in time.

#8 $170 k, probably half cash and half benefits, so $85 k after 10-20 years work. So $40+ per hour? Sounds like good pay for the work required. Now if they are doing roofing in Texas in the summer…

#9 At a certain point Amazon will have the infrastructure to begin to absorb that business. Their cost structure will allow it.
