#1 I bet the number is more that $16 trillion, but its not the number she is making up. Its how much the racism behind all the programs, welfare, medicare, food stamps, has cost the taxpayers over the years since the LBJ Great Society. The discrimination has been against the majority of the American people forced to pay for subsidies and preferential treatment of non-whites over the years.

#2 The analysis in the report that follows shows that if four key racial gaps for Blacks — ~~wages~~ education, education, ~~housing~~ education, and ~~investment~~ education — were closed 20 years ago, $16 trillion could have been added to the U.S. economy.

Get the education thing working and all the rest falls in line. Without it, there are not a lot of opportunities.

Perhaps the teacher's unions could explain why test scores and graduation rates have been flat for decades. Of course, having a dependent population is handy at election time. Vote for me and I'll set you free!
