#1 The Chinese balloon shot down may have been using LIDAR to map target areas generate 3-D maps using green laser lights. The LIDAR laser sweep of Hawaii was captured and put on YouTube.

  • Other than balloon fabric being hauled aboard a Zodiac off the shore of SC, no actual payload or recovered devices have been photographed.

  • Chinese companies with "direct commercial ties" have been "blacklisted" by the US Government (USG), indicating that the components and manufacturers have been identified. Nothing more has been discussed about the component firms or their....previous "non-blacklisted" associations, funding, or other activities in China or the US.

  • No mention has been made regarding the potential of non-GPS navigation 'laser terrain mapping' has been discussed.

  • News televised routes or trajectories or route comparisons of the balloons appear to have been removed or are in the process of being removed from news reporting.

  • No one, military or otherwise, associated with the actual physical recoveries has been interviewed.

  • No statements from the FBI regarding the objects have been aired.

  • No statements, knowledge sharing, or reporting from US entities or representatives of the USG high-altitude balloon research (military or civilian) have been aired.

  • No communications contact data, transmission, frequency (intervals of transmissions), potential photographic collection, or specific 'dynamic re-tasking' information has been discussed or released.

  • The capability for communications between these objects, ships, or conventional airborne platforms, or ground stations has not been discussed.

  • No end-of-mission recovery of these balloons or airborne platforms in the Atlantic or elsewhere by China or anyone else has been discussed.

  • No 'recall' of Chinese diplomatic personnel in Washington (for explanations) appears to have yet been made. No hints of potential diplomatic expulsions have been forthcoming.

    #10 Back in July my wife and I observed two very high altitude pinpoints of light moving west to east (time was around 1100 in the AM with blue skies). The first was a bright pinpoint with an an accompanying object flying in tandem that was different since it was refracting light which made it appear as if it was rolling forward. It was weird enough that I called a friend who could not find anything on the flight records at that time.     Initially I thought we may have observed the same cosmic or phantom phenomena of at least two in formation or squadrons as they call it... Now I am curious if the high altitude balloons are just one part of a larger effort.
