#1 It was stupid. There's no explanation. There's no excuse.

Trump obviously has nobody to warn him against this sort of blunder. Either there is nobody doing the job or Trump simply won't take any advice so nobody bothers to try to warn him.

The republic is long over and isn't going to make a reappearance till all the power and money is drained from the Swamp. Till then you better find an effective tribal leader to protect your ass from the other tribes. You're not going to find such a leader among the wishy washy GOP who still play as though the old game was still going on. You are not going to get perfect. Better find someone that is just good enough. You might start with someone who actually delivers and worry about niceties later.

It also makes me question his security. Don't they screen his visitors because he is an assassination target of the IRGC for Suleimani?

I am personal friends of one of Trump's initial inner circle...oh, they have warned him and warned him in the past, he will not be controlled. Trump doesn't care and does what he pleases...that makes him a populist I guess, but he also intentionally exposes himself to backstabbers and political carnies...Trump's instincts are terrible and he doesn't seem to learn. He is like a combination of Julius Caesar and Nero that will not die...although the number of wounds in his back are taking its toll.

#10 Guilt by association is a Democrat attack that never works against them. Biden has met with BLM terrorists and there wasn't the firing squad here to scream about that. Bryd was a KKK Grand Kleagle. I see no point in worrying about this because we know Trump has nothing to do with them. Dem's were having dinner with Arafat all the time. Enough is enough and people need to learn that a picture or dinner does not indicate alliance and collusion.

In the public forum of political discourse and media manipulation is one most powerful, virtually unspoken fact. Demokrats use fear as an effective tool. In recent times, not just the denial of access, but now, money, and the power of lawfare, IRS audits, and the risk of judicial process bankruptcy, a la Flynn, Stone and Giuliani.

As Trump faces the headwinds of 2024, all these tools are coming into focus.
