#2 There was a time when these organizations did actual good work and deserved their tax exemption. However, I think that time has long since passed. Tax them just like everyone else!

#3 There are some good NGOs but there far too many that are doing evil things. Many are built to shield bad actors from transparency. With respect to governmental spending, transparency should be a given. Like everything else, this will take Judicial Watch or some other NGO to flip over this rock.
