#1 Shipping at a standstill. Severe shortages here soon to follow. But the biggest irritation is to impose fines and perhaps jail time for non compliance of medical dictates. This is being proposed at this time. So you don't get vaxed and then you are denied service but now new penalties will be imposed. Government is gearing up with new health viruses to impose upon the populations here. The new germophobic nation.

Was watching and listening to videos claiming to be made in Shanghai and smuggled out.

If real, it has 100's of people at night screaming and crying for help from the windows of their 20+ floor apartment complex jails.

It tends to make you think the way the CCP is handling the lockdown is more like a collection of Communist Gulag detention centers. Where they'll just send cleanup crews to retrieve the bodies.

BTW: most of the webcams for Shanghai and China itself are down and there are only a few sporadically running.

But if you find a live one ....zoomed in on, it shows near nothing for foot or vehicle traffic.

#5 The de-coupling of the world economy will not be a top-down thing. Businesses that can't get by without Chinese imports will cease. Other's will find a way to operate without Chinese imports. Ditto the financial angle.

The gummint won't be able to control it.

#12 Been leaning political; but I"ve suspected a lot of those Covid Health Workers were secret police conducting raids in "Bio Suits".

There was some accusation about mass spying including software bugs some week or two before this lockdown.

And that wasn't a week or two after nuking the transaction economy, famously remember visually as Russians can't use the subway.
