Defense analysts are finally beginning to speak out against all the BS that's being pushed at us.

"We need to understand Russia's actual conduct," says a retired Air Force officer, a lawyer by training who has been involved in approving targets for U.S. fights in Iraq and Afghanistan. The officer currently works as an analyst with a large military contractor advising the Pentagon and was granted anonymity in order to speak candidly.

"If we merely convince ourselves that Russia is bombing indiscriminately, or [that] it is failing to inflict more harm because its personnel are not up to the task or because it is technically inept, then we are not seeing the real conflict." In the analyst's view, though the war has led to unprecedented destruction in the south and east, the Russian military has actually been showing restraint in its long-range attacks.

As of the past weekend, in 24 days of conflict, Russia has flown some 1,400 strike sorties and delivered almost 1,000 missiles (by contrast, the United States flew more sorties and delivered more weapons IN THE FIRST DAY of the 2003 Iraq war).

The vast majority of the airstrikes are over the battlefield, with Russian aircraft providing "close air support" to ground forces. The remainder—less than 20 percent, according to U.S. experts—has been aimed at military airfields, barracks and supporting depots.

A proportion of those strikes have damaged and destroyed civilian structures and killed and injured innocent civilians, but the level of death and destruction is low compared to Russia's capacity.

"I know it's hard ... to swallow that the carnage and destruction could be much worse than it is," says the DIA analyst. "But that's what the facts show. This suggests to me, at least, that Putin is not intentionally attacking civilians, that perhaps he is mindful that he needs to limit damage in order to leave an out for negotiations."

Of course. If Putin was willing to crater Ukraine just to get at the leadership, Zelensky would be a red daub somewhere in the rubble. And there's nothing NATO could do about it without getting Americans killed. Granted, Biden could even go that far, but then the deepState would take out Biden before that. Russia is fully prepared either way. So any pulling back of hostility or dial down from the Kremlin means they're genuinely not interested in creating misery for everyone, just for certain people. Zelensky is making civs fight under threat of being branded traitors. Not only civs but anyone he can find. Enlisting free radicals, mercs, anyone to protect his presidency. This is real criminal behaviour.

This article -- which is not from "USAA" by the way but from the dissident website USSA -- shows all the ways the propaganda operates. It's really breathtaking how the "lying corporate media" have ignored salient facts and either memoryholed or simply blocked out everything Putin has said.

The linked article reviews these point by point. It's amazing how sane and rational the Russian case actually is -- you would never know it from all the BS that's been spread by our left wing globalists and kleptocrats.

How many Americans or Euros know that the US pushed the Kiev regime to rip up the Minsk II Treaty? To demand Nato accession? That Zelensky was demanding nukes and openly declaring his intention to seize Russia's most important naval base?

How many know that for 8 years the Kiev regime installed through a US coup d'etat has been waging war on and terrorizing Russians who live in the eastern regions of the country?

Do Americans even know that Putin repeatedly warned the US that these actions were intolerable and represented a real and present danger to Russian security?

#13 The war started in May 2014. It's been going on without a break for 8 years. The precipitating cause was a new regime in Kyiv brought to power by a US-aided coup. There's extensive documentary evidence implicating American officials (Nuland, Pyatt) in that coup.

There's also tonnes of evidence that Obama administration and former Clinton administration officials colluded with the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington to spread lies and disinformation about what was actually happening in Kyiv and in the eastern regions where the war was raging.

The Russians and many US foreign policy experts have been consistently warning the West for many years that these provocative and reckless actions by American operatives would eventually push Russia to protect its vital national interests on its southwestern border. Just like the US would if China were provoking a Mexican puppet regime to demand the return of Texas, use paramilitaries to kill Americans on our southwestern border and build up a hostile military with China's help and encouragement.

#14 The next thing I expect to hear from these obnoxious claques is that it was the Ukrainians who invaded Russia exactly when the Russian army had forces on the border for exercises, and unfairly used modern weapons to attack the long convoys of Russian armor that entered into Ukraine in response to that invasion. Notoriously corrupt governments are supposed to have weapons systems that are disassembled and don't work, or use bad logistic practices to destroy their own forces. Don't the Ukrainians know enough to steal from their army enough to make it a laughing stock?
The Russians at least know enough to follow the American example and screw up everything they touch. Ukraine used to be pretty good at screwing up. Didn't Zelensky know how?
And none of you guys mention the wonderful opportunities all those refugees have gotten to travel abroad like they were on vacation. They should be thanking Putin for that, and for the opportunity to escape from Zelensky's brutal tyranny.
