#3 I kinda with Martin Cruz Smith on this. In 'Polar Star', he has the russian doctor on the ship say that you should actually take up smoking in your 50's, because the health issues take time to develop that you don't have, and by then you're basically dying anyway, so you might as well enjoy yourself.
