#14 One aspect of the "Shitshow" is lost opportunity cost. Now, that calculation may be a bit different for this House, since I'd rather have Schiff/AOC/Nadler impaling themslves on the spike of impeachment than actually trying to pass legislation. But just in terms of the many millions that have been spent on lawyers, consultants, focus groups, makeup, facelifts, signing pens, etc.-- couldn't that money have been better spent "for the children"? Or -- and I know this is crazy talk-- paying down our virtually infinite national debt? Or maybe virology research?

While sitting all day, every day, the Senate cannot approve President Trump’s proposed judges and staffers. This hampers his ability to revamp the judiciary as well as hire and reward the people he needs to run the executive branch.
