#2 OK. My Scots dialect doesn't extend beyond Robbie Burns. Do "seize" and "prize" rhyme in Glasgowegian? If not it's a pretty lame battle cry.

#6 Almost all of the "Highlanders" left long ago when the tenants were evicted to make way for sheep, right? These people are the "Lowlanders" who lived in cities on the borders with England -- a rather different lot. It does seem unwise that they want to change their allegiance from England, where they have seats in Parliament, to the EU where they are just one of the ruled territories, no more important than Malta or Bosnia...
