#2 Vietnam is very unhappy with China. Vietnam has received very cheap products and clothing that causes burns to the skin. It is my understanding they welcome Americans. This Google thing is bad in my opinion as Google has had a love affair with China. Just another way to keep an eye on things in Vietnam. Google will do the bidding of China.

#3 A lot of the manufacturing leaving China is going to Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines. All countries bullied by China and have an interest in working with the US to keep China low.

#5 They have a chip design 'gChips team' in Bangalore, but no manufacturing yet. It has guys and gals who worked with Intel, freescale, motorola etc on it plus a clever little sprite, niece of yours truly.
The Govt often favors indigenous, small businesses and startups which the giants show a predatory side to. Hence it keeps hauling up google and facebook for anti-trust litigation every few months, threatening to shut down cloud servers, routinely inspecting. It's also not easy for western companies to set up plants in India without meeting very strict, insanely socialist compliance criteria which they shy away from. It's just more profitable to design here, and build in Vietnam, maybe.

#7 clothing that causes burns to the skin

Walmart in the US is selling clothing made in China that is doing the same thing.

In the mean time I am seeing more open borders victims, black and white, on the streets and homeless in the US that could be doing this if the knuckle dragging, hypocrite dims who continue to up the minimum wage that cannot be paid by businesses while importing cheap latin American labor. I am very, very surprised the US Chamber of Commerce is not importing cheap Vietnamese labor into the US … yet.
